Byron York: When Governor Palin Spoke People Would Cheer

By Gary P Jackson

A little snippet from an interview Greta did with Byron York on Saturday night courtesy of SarahNet.

They are talking about whether or not the selection of Paul Ryan will energize the base. Byron notes that when Sarah Palin would speak at the McCain-Palin rallies, the crowds would go cheer loudly, and often start to leave when it was Senator McCain’s time to speak.

This, yet again, blows all to hell the BS claim that Sarah cost McCain the election.

  1. When Romney introduced Ryan in VA yesterday, and then Ryan gave his speech, all I could think of, “This ain’t no Sarah Palin!!” Remember, when McCain introduced Palin to the world in Ohio (just before the Convention), with the first words out her mouth – we were ALL hooked!! She swept us off our collective feet!! And, I might add, I’ve never looked back – and she has YET to disappoint even one tiny bit! (Leaving aside, of course, the Oct. 5 announcement, which, as time will prove, was the ONLY way to keep her political capital and bona fides in tact – and, I might add, now stronger than ever!)

Oh, the supreme irony/tragedy of the situation we’re in today! What will it take for the American people to wake up and realize that the best one for the job is being constantly kicked to the curb? It’s enough to make me want to LITERALLY set Mitt’s hair on fire – just to wake HIM up!!

Sarah has the ability to energize people. I feel sort of special, as I had already been following her career for over a year, and knew she was different than your average politician, but yeah, she blew me away.

Let’s see where the poll numbers end up. More important, let’s watch the money. After McCain introduced Sarah, he brought in $10 million. I know the economy is worse now, so we gotta factor that in, but still.

All I know is Obama has got to go.
