It was the 11th minute of the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918. After one of the bloodiest battles in history, an armistice was signed to end hostilities that consumed the entire world in war. Remembering the peace is the very best way to salute our troops. Without these brave men and women, peace would never be possible.
As Americans we should thank God every day that such men and women step up when the chips are down, and defend Liberty and Freedom around the world. Without the sacrifices of our troops throughout our nation’s history, we would have fallen long ago.
Never take our troops for granted. Every day should be Veterans Day. Though they ask for nothing in return, our troops deserve everything we can give them. They are the very best of us all.
On this day, I’d like to ask folks to find a charity that supports our heroes and donate what you can.
There are many wonderful charities that are helping them, here are a few I’d like to recommend. If you know of a great military support organization, feel free to add to the list.
