Sarah Palin Hires Michael Glassner as Chief of Staff

By Gary P Jackson

This may be the most excitement ever created by the hiring of a logistics guy!

This announcement has set the blogosphere ablaze.

From Peter Hamby at CNN:

Sarah Palin has added a veteran Republican strategist to serve as chief-of-staff for her political action committee, Sarah PAC, CNN has learned.

Michael Glassner, an attorney and longtime adviser to former Kansas senator and presidential candidate Bob Dole, has signed on to steer the former Alaska governor’s political operation as she considers a possible 2012 presidential bid.

During the 2008 presidential campaign, Glassner managed vice presidential operations during John McCain’s unsuccessful White House bid.

We are happy and excited that Mike is joining our team,” Sarah PAC spokesman Tim Crawford told CNN.

Glassner worked logistics with the vice presidential team in 2008. That was the wing of the McCain campaign that actually gelled and worked pretty good as a unit.I’m sure he is someone who will serve Sarah well.

Glassner will work as Chief-of-Staff for SarahPAC, for now, but this is the sort of fellow one hires when they are getting serious about running for President. Glassner is a logistics specialist. A great team manager. He has a solid resume. From Linked-in:

I’m certain that she will pick a very special day to announce her run for
president. Something like what she did on the 3rd of July when she
announced her ‘freedom’ to the world.
If the Progressive hit squad would have quietly let her continue her governorship of Alaska, without lodging all those bogus ethics complaints and costing Alaska millions of dollars and shutting down the day to day running of the Alaskan government because it had to devote almost all it’s time to dealing with that, she probably would still be there and not considering a run for POTUS.
She probably wouldn’t have gotten involved in helping slow down Obamacare with the words, “Death Panels,” that will be defunded by the United States House of Representatives and that will be declared unconstitutional by the Supreme Court of The United States.
She probably wouldn’t have gotten so involved in the 2010 elections that
helped stop the progressive momentum and gave the conservative momentum a giant boost with all the conservative wins that is now heading into the 2012 elections with even more conservative wins on the horizon.
Progressives helped get Sarah Palin into this position to run for president.
I can thank them for all the time and energy that they have given to her.
Progressives gifts are ones that keeps on giving and Sarah Palin has used and
will continue to use these Progressive gifts well.
As POTUS, Sarah Palin will be able to do for the United States of America and the American people the same good things that she has done, and continues to do, for Alaska and the Alaskan people.
I will be forever grateful for her hard work and tine that she has already given to help us in our momentum to succeed against the mess that Owebummer and the Progressives have created.
She has been the only potential presidential candidate who has consistently kicked Owebummer’s arse over the last 2 years. Out of all those potential presidential candidate voices, hers has been heard the most, the loudest, and most importantly, with the correct solutions to righting the wrongs that have been committed against the American people. She stands out as the only comservative leader who is battle tested, the strongest fit, and ready to win the fight against Owebummer and his regressive agenda.
I’m committed to helping Sarah Palin kick Owebummer’s arse out of the White House in 2012.
