It’s bad enough that Rick Perry is whining about Sarah Palin, Jim DeMint and, well, every big time Conservative in the nation backing Ted Cruz, especially since one of those he’s crying about, Sarah Palin, was called in to save his butt the last time he ran for Governor. This however is just too much.
Though Perry doesn’t want “outsiders” interfering with his buddy David Dewhurt’s campaign, and supporting Ted Cruz, he has no problem being an “outsider” and “interfering” in Minnesota politics:
Texas governor and former presidential candidate Rick Perry has endorsed Pete Hegseth in the fight for the Minnesota Republican U.S. Senate endorsement.
In a video released by the campaign, Perry called Hegseth “exactly the kind of patriot we need” and praised his conservative credentials and his work with veterans support organizations.
“He won’t be afraid to walk into hostile territory to take on President Obama and Sen. Amy Klobuchar,” Perry said..
No doubt Pete Hegseth is a good man, and deserving of all of our support. But talk about hypocrisy!
The more I think about it, the more I think Perry and Dewhurst know it’s the end of the line. Perry’s outburst, attacking Sarah, Jim DeMint, and others is nothing more than a hissy fit.
The wind is at Ted Cruz’s back, and rightly so. For the first time, in a long time, Texas has a chance to send a true Reagan Conservative to Washington. Someone who has a long record of fighting for what is right.
Rick Perry, David Dewhurst, and their cronies, can cry all they want. Conservative have a real winner in Ted Cruz, and we can’t wait to celebrate his victory in the run-off!
