Mediaite Ranks Sarah Palin as America’s Top TV Pundit and Influencer

By Gary P Jackson

Here’s something we missed until our good friend Jackie Siciliano from the Sarah Palin Blog brought it to our attention. Mediaite, a left wing website that tracks the media, also ranks the power of TV pundits. 175 pundits in all made their list.

When it comes to being the most powerful, and influential, it’s Sarah Palin all the way. And not just on television. Karl Rove is ranked number two, but as Jackie points out on her website, when you study the various ranking points, it’s a distant second.

You’ll notice that in every category of influence, Sarah is either number one or number two.

Steve Flesher at Conservatives4Palin has a little more on this, in an article taking on “Moaning Joe” Scarborough, MSNBC’s resident liberal who plays a Conservative on television, and Tucker Carlson, the misogynist publisher of The Daily Caller, whose “Senior Editor” we called out a few days ago for having not one, but two articles begging Sarah to endorse Mitt Romney, while at the same time deeming her irrelevant.

From C4P:

When the left attempts to smear and distort Palin’s record and performance as a candidate in 2008, we expect it.  However; when alleged conservatives purposely disparage their party’s last VP nominee, it can be off-putting (considering their early calls for unity during the primary).  We know Palin’s excellent and well-vetted record is in the public domain.  We also know she did much more for the massive conservative victory in 2010 than either Scarborough or Carlson did.

However; a look at Mediaite’s real-time ranking of power-players might explain the recent cheap shots.  Business-as-usual might be good for politicians in Washington, but with Palin’s presence in the world of influence and commentary, it’s becoming more competitive for pundits and journalists of every stripe.

Aside from having his Politico piece re-tweeted only 25 times in more than 12 hours, Joe Scarborough ranks at #30 among radio show hosts and an even-worse #62 among TV hosts.  From the looks of these numbers, it looks like “Morning Joe” might as well say “goodnight!”  What’s interesting is Mediaite claims the show “generates headlines” but explains that the ratings never seem to correlate.

Tucker Carlson of Daily Caller ranks at #12 for online editors and #32 among TV pundits. While these numbers are a little better than Scarborough’s, they’re still lacking considering how long Tucker’s been in business as a pundit.

Considering these dismal rankings, you’d think GOPe pundits like Scarborough and Carlson would want to see who currently ranks as #1 to get an idea of how to appeal to more people to gain more interest.

Read more here.

Steve is wasting his breath on “Moaning Joe” and Bow-tie Man. Those two will never get it, because they aren’t Conservatives. And they aren’t Sarah Palin!

It’s amazing how this woman who we are told is absolutely irrelevant [at least 100 times a day] is so completely relevant! So relevant, she’s America’s top opinion leader.

Of course, chances are you already knew that.

Thanks again Jackie.

  1. We must keep calling/e-mailing Team Romney to nominate Gov. Sarah Palin as vice president in the most crushing tidal wave of enthusiastic good judgment ever seen in the history of this nation. With that one bold move we will accomplish the dual goals of seeing America led by the greatest natural born leader in our generation, even as we witness the final implosion and last agonized shrieks of our endlessly lying extreme left loonies. Their entire movement, from the fabricated attacks on Bush beginning with ‘Blood For Oil’ to the crammed-down-our-gullets lies of Obamacare and the Shovel Ready Stimulus, have been nothing but one vile deceit heaped upon another. Such an absolute inability to deal in the truth or to face the facts of our situation and its solutions only proves that there is simply no place at the grown-ups’ table for these diseased sputa. Good riddance to rubes and bad rubbish. Time to usher in the American Renaissance, carried in on the invigoratingly freshening breeze of Vice President Sarah Palin.

I’m working on something, but yeah. I agree.

Thing is, Romney will never offer, and Sarah would likely turn him down, but we need to let Romney know that whatever limp, lame, nobody he thinks he can pick is totally unacceptable.

I over heard two guys talking about The Palin Family In General. One guy said ‘Hmmm, The Palin Family Featuring Sarah Palin. This sounds like The modern day and political version of The Partridge Family.’ This is where I looked at the two of them like they were high or something.

Those that get it, get it. Those that don’t never will.

One of the reasons I covered this is because i know it will not only make liberals’ heads explode, but most of the GOP as well!

Here it is LATE FRIDAY when Ercel likes to drop some bombs…so here I go…
Every day when I turn on my PC I go to YOU-TUBE…type in Sarah Palin and watch and listen to music of Sarah Palin during the 2008 campaign…NOTHING ON THIS PLANET…inspires me more then watching those films/music…(Sarah…”She is the reason” and “Courage and strenght”…

Every once in a while someone comes up with just how GREAT Sarah Palin was in political office…they compare her to Ercel and Mittens…she beats them both by a landslide…they chart how popular she among the also-rans…she bets them all by a landslide…every time Sarah is compared to ANYONE…she beats them all by a LANSLIDE

.This country is getting VERY close to picking the next person that they NEED/WANT to run this country….AFTER WATCHING ERCEL TALK SO INCOHERENTLY IN COBO…it was as bad as when he tried to tell the public about the kid that need the inhaler… and then listening to Sarah make the Brietbart speech…is there ANY QUESTION to who should be LEADING this country…

And about this racist thing that all “WHITE” people have against Ercel…ERCEL IS A WHITE MAN WHO GOT STUCK IN THE TANNING BOOTH…the one’s THAT HE WANTS TO TAX THE SH@T OUT OF…why do I say what I say…If a black women gets pregnant by a white man and the child is born white…do we call him African/American-White-Black or Creameeee ?? because it seems that if a white women gets pregnant by a black man and the child is born with very light skin…the call him a African/American…take a HARD look at Ercel’s skin color when he wears his bathing suit…he has ONLY a golfers tan…he only goes to places that he can work on his tan
    I WONDER WHY…so EVERYONE that doesn’t drink the Kool-Aid is… RACIST ?????…REALLY

WAKE-UP AMERICA…YOU ONLY HAVE 130 PLUS DAYS to figure if the light at the end of the tunnel is SARAH PALIN or a run-away Freight-Train

  4. Wild post, jerseyflash! But describing Oblahblah as “a white man stuck in the tanning booth” was simply TOO funny!! And d’ya REALLY think he “works on his tan” so he can act and be “black?” Hmmm…..

Palin is SO far head & shoulders above the current political crowd, it’s enough to make one sick while we watch the also-rans…

And I tend to agree with Gary re Romney’s probably weak pick for VP, but also Palin’s response should he shock everyone and actually ASK her!! If that happened, I’m no longer quite so sure she’s decline the offer, ’cause I think it would SO fire up the not only the base, but also the rest of the Party that’s just trying a cope with Mr. Etch-a-Sketch… And it would certainly be the test not only of the advice of his mindless (but rapid-response) advisors, but also a HUGE test for his own ego!!

    Stay tuned…

  5. P.S. It would also test the erroneous and mendacious narrative that the Left – and, of course, even the GOPe – have promoted, i.e., “trying to avoid another Palin pick,” etc. ad nauseum. Au contraire, IMHO, it would have a very POSITIVE shock value!! Talk about stealing the spotlight from President Narcissit!! O, that would be worth EVERYTHING!!

    • jerseyflash

joybrower…we have to find a rose garden and have a beer…we could invite the RACIST COP…but NO to the two gaffe machines…you know why I talked about The Tanning Booth…because it was the only thing Ercel wanted to tax the Sh@t out of…I do not think that SNOOKIEEE is in his corner anyway…(she needs the booth)…my wife, 2 daughters and I worked the McRino/Palin campaign in our town…from the day Palin came on board… the excitment in the headquarters increase by a thousand…we had flat sreens that showed every move that McRino and Sarah made…like Ercel inviting himself to talk at that women commencement…McRino changed HIS schedule to make sure he was standing alongside of Sarah…when she came back to Tucson with McRino… she spent a fair amount of time with the public even though was only a stop for McRino
I think that you have my drift about Ercel…also rans…and Mittens
I’m going “Rogue”…Pre Ercel I was eating meat and POTATOEEE’s…Post Ercel….FRANKS AND BEANS
The light is getting brighter…Palin or the Freight Train

      • Really enjoy your Deep Thoughts & Witty Words, jerseyflash! Yes, it would be great meeting you – and others with Palinesque leanings as well! In fact, there should be a Gary Jackson Summit somewhere (I guess online?), so we can share more Deep Thoughts (sorry, I keep seeing & hearing Stuart Smalley whenever I use that phrase…Al Franken should never have left THAT day job!!).

Yes, I guess we were ALL geared up for a Palin POTUS run – that is, until she pulled the plug on October 5 (see how that date is etched/burned in my psyche?!?). One day I’d like to hear her – in her own words – describe some of the reasons (in gory detail, of course) that influenced her decision. But, bottom line, I so trust her judgment that I’ve finally put my deep disappointment behind me (I know she acted in the best interests of the Conservative Movement!!) and have moved on to whatever the next stage will be. But always, I follow her every move, word & action in the political arena, ’cause I feel in my bones that, eventually, she’ll come out on top!

I’m pushing for a Sarah Palin/Mark Levin ticket in 2016. What say you?

    • Gary P Jackson

Love it! Though I doubt Levin would run.

Personally I’d love to see her team up with another Governor, like say Scott Walker. Two chief executives on one ticket would be smart. That said, Sarah REALLY likes Allan West and wanted Romney to pick him as his running mate, so it wouldn’t surprise me if she did just that herself.

Palin 2016 is a must. Who she picks is going to be fun though.
