Texas Attorney General Threatens U.N. “Election Observers” with Arrest Governor Perry Weighs in

By Gary P Jackson

As you have likely heard by now, the Obama regime has invited a group affiliated with the United Nations to “observe” the November elections. These “observers” will be deployed in locations including Richmond (VA), Harrisburg (PA), Raleigh (NC), Austin (TX), Des Moines (Iowa), St. Paul, (Minn.), Topeka (KS), and Tallahassee (FL).

Christian Adams wrote a strong piece exposing who these “observers” are:

PJ Tatler has obtained the document detailing the places across the United States where United Nations election observers will be deployed. The document identifies the stateside targets, particular officials as well as their country of origin. To see it, click here.

For example, Aida Alzhanova of Kazakhstan will be monitoring in Santa Fe, New Mexico, and Phoenix, Arizona. Elchin Musayvev from Azerbaijan will be monitoring in Concord, New Hampshire.

Kazakhstan has been criticized for a weak human rights record and a government that tightly controls speech, assembly and the free exercise of religion. Azerbaijan is worse. The government there has violently cracked down on peaceful protests and the “atmosphere for journalists is hostile. . . . The government tightened restrictions on religious groups. . . . Torture and ill-treatment in police custody continue with impunity.

More here.

This is not setting well with the American people. We are a sovereign nation, the United Nations has no right to be here as “observers” That they seem to be targeting Republican voters to “observe” smacks of voter intimidation, which is a civil rights violation. Not that the Obama regime would care, as they showed when they vacated the felony convictions of two Black Panther thugs convicted of civil rights violations after showing up armed at a Pennsylvania polling location in 2008.

These U.N. “observers” are affiliated with a group with close ties to ACORN, which has been the subject of numerous FBI investigations stemming from massive voter fraud, conducted by the democrat group. President Barack Obama was once employed by ACORN.

Don’t mess with Texas

Attorney General Greg Abbott has issued a stern warning to these people, including the threat of criminal prosecution should they enter a polling place or come within 100 feet of one.

The Attorney General’s press release: [emphasis mine]

Attorney General Abbott Tells International Election Observers to Abide by Texas Election Laws

Texas AG says Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe has no jurisdiction over Texas elections

AUSTIN – Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott today advised the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe — a United Nations partner — that groups and individuals from outside the United States do not have jurisdiction to interfere with Texas elections.

The Attorney General’s letter comes after the international group — comprised of 56 members including EU nations and other countries such as Albania, Azerbaijan, Cyprus, Estonia, Kazakhstan, Latvia, the Russian Federation, Slovenia and Turkey — announced they would be sending election observers to sites throughout the United States, including Texas, on Election Day.

Text of the letter:

October 23, 2012

Ambassador Daan Everts
Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights
Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe
UI. Miodowa 10
00-251
Warsaw, Poland

Dear Ambassador Everts:

The Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) will reportedly dispatch election observers to the State of Texas to monitor the November 2012 general election. While it remains unclear exactly what your monitoring is intended to achieve, or precisely what tactics you will use to achieve the proposed monitoring, OSCE has stated publicly that it will visit polling stations on Election Day as part of its monitoring plan.

In April, you reportedly met with a group of organizations that have filed lawsuits challenging election integrity laws enacted by the Texas Legislature. One of those organizations, Project Vote, is closely affiliated with ACORN, which collapsed in disgrace after its role in a widespread voter-registration fraud scheme was uncovered. In September, a federal appeals court rejected Project Vote’s challenge to the State’s voter-registration regulations and allowed Texas to continue enforcing laws that were enacted to protect the integrity of the voter-registration process.

According to a letter that Project Vote and other organizations sent to you, OSCE has identified Voter ID laws as a barrier to the right to vote. That letter urged OSCE to monitor states that have taken steps to protect ballot integrity by enacting Voter ID laws. The OSCE may be entitled to its opinions about Voter ID laws, but your opinion is legally irrelevant in the United States, where the Supreme Court has already determined that Voter ID laws are constitutional.

If OSCE members want to learn more about our election processes so they can improve their own democratic systems, we welcome the opportunity to discuss the measures Texas has implemented to protect the integrity of elections. However, groups and individuals from outside the United States are not allowed to influence or interfere with the election process in Texas. This State has robust election laws that were carefully crafted to protect the integrity of our election system. All persons—including persons connected with OSCE—are required to comply with these laws.

Elections and election observation are regulated by state law. The Texas Election Code governs anyone who participates in Texas elections—including representatives of the OSCE. The OSCE’s representatives are not authorized by Texas law to enter a polling place. It may be a criminal offense for OSCE’s representatives to maintain a presence within 100 feet of a polling place’s entrance. Failure to comply with these requirements could subject the OSCE’s representatives to criminal prosecution for violating state law.

Sincerely,
Greg Abbott
Attorney General of Texas

Governor Perry also weighed in with a strong declaration:

The United States is a sovereign nation, and Texas a sovereign state. Under the United States Constitution, the states are in charge of elections. My interpretation of this is that the federal government has no authority to invite these inspectors in.

This is nothing more than an attempt by democrats to create controversy surrounding the elections, and unrest when Obama is defeated.

In 2000 our nation proved we can handle our voting procedures just fine. That election was a fiasco, and Al Gore, with the aid of the democrat controlled Florida Supreme Court attempted to steal victory from George W Bush. That attempt was stopped. If America can handle that, it can handle pretty much anything.

Like the United States, Texas has it’s own legacy of hard won Liberty and Freedom, through revolution. We don’t take kindly to those who attempt to infringe on those Liberties and Freedoms.

  2. John Scotus

    Indeed. Don’t mess with Texas.

  3. Wow sooooooo many lies in here its astounding. This proves we do need the observers. But go right ahead and commit a crime to keep out legitimate observers.

You won’t be able to change our votes from Democrat to Republican without getting caught.

    -Democrat from Texas

Please point out one single lie. I implore you to do so.

BTW, you are aware that Virginia democrat Congressman Jim Moran’s son, and campaign director was just caught on hidden camera instructing democrats in a very detailed manner how to commit massive voter fraud, and forgery, correct?

O’Keefe bombshell: Corruptocrat Jim Moran’s son caught on tape in voter fraud/forgery scam; Update: Moran’s son resigns

There is massive voter fraud in U S elections, all committed by democrats. Same goes for voter intimidation. The Black Panthers domestic terror group was actively engaged in armed voter intimidation in Pennsylvania, and those involved convicted in abstentia. Barack Obama’s corrupt, racist Attorney General vacated the convictions.

One of those Obama protected advocates killing all white babies, and well, all white people in general:

The Obama Administration Protected Black Panther Who Advocates Killing White Babies

King Samir Shabazz, the Black Panther who is guilty of Voter Intimidation in Philadelphia in Nov 2008 calls for the killing of white people and white babies. He “HATES white people, every iota.” This thug is one of the 2 featured in the Philadelphia Voter Precinct videos.

But by all means, show me where the lies are in this article.

  4. Seriously, do you know anything about the OSCE, or OSCEPA? The US is a member as are most western and former USSR states. It is an organization working towards peace, democracy and security. Threatening to arrest people for observing an election is quite undemocratic. Neither can I understand how it would be a problem that a few individuals from less democratic countries are participating. First of all it doesn’t mean that they are not supporters of democracy or understand democratic principles or regulations. The election mission from the OSCEPA is also working with the US law in mind, they don’t have any hidden or partisan agenda. It is only about observing so that elections follow principles and laws.

Naive much? The United Nations is nothing but a den of despots, dictators, and outright homicidal thugs. The United States has no business even being part of it. When you have an organization that allows a savage country like Iran a seat on the “human rights council” you have a morally bankrupt organization.

Past that, The United States is a sovereign nation, and our Constitution is the supreme law of the land. The United Nations, or any other outside organization, has no jurisdiction here. These UN thugs are mainly going to areas that vote Republican. It’s a form of voter intimidation. Something the Obama regime has knowingly and actively condoned. See Pennsylvania 2008.

Under the law in every state, it is against the law to interfere in an election, and it’s unlawful to come within 100 yards of a polling station. As long as these UN thugs fallow the law, they’ll be fine.

BTW, Iowa’s Secretary of State just vowed to arrest any UN stooge that tries to violate Iowa election law. Other states are doing the same.

      • My god, you are delusioned. First of all, it is not the UN, it is ODHIR and most likely OSCEPA, which is part of the OSCE, which the US is a member of. Your government has invited them. Second, I find it quite worrying that you fear people observing your election to the degree that you threaten to arrest them. ODHIR has no intention of interfering in the election. Third, how come you fear an external and impartial organization? Wouldn’t it be worse if the only people that could make a judgement about the fairness of the election would be you and your opponents?

When it comes to the UN, I must inform you about the fact that the UN isn’t a club for mutual admiration, it is a fora for discussing and solving international issues. If we close the door to less democratic states, our opportunity to influence them will be very limited. They will then just turn to less democratic countries. This is something that is happening in many places in the world now. One example is how China has invested in Africa without any thought about human rights or democratic principles. Their power increases while the power of the western countries diminish

      • Gary P Jackson

They are affiliated with the UN. Name one single problem that the UN has solved, or even made better. It’s nothing more than a group of fat cat ambassadors who represent some of the worst humanity has to offer. When you have Iran, one of the most brutal regimes in history, on the “human rights council,” while at the same time denouncing the United States, the greatest nation in history, one that has done more for Liberty and Freedom than any other in history, then you are a morally bankrupt organization.

Thing is, doesn’t matter where these thugs come from, not only is the United States a sovereign nation, each state is also sovereign. And as an American I can say something that NO OTHER human being from any other nation can say. Every single American is also a sovereign. That’s because of Liberty and Freedom. Foreign interlopers have no authority and no right to even BE in America, let alone interfere in our sacred voting process.

BTW, where were these stooges when elections in Iran, Venezuela, and Russia were being stolen? Nary a peep from them.

America needs to get out of the UN and if it must be a part of something, be part of a new organization that is made up of nations that don’t slaughter their own citizens daily.

  5. The OSCE was allowed entry to Russia during the elections, but there are always some countries that fear scrutiny and deny or restrict access for election observers. Texas (or it’s attorney general) seem to be on the same level as these countries, when it comes to respecting democratic principles and transparency.

Iran is not a member of the OSCE and from what I know, observers were not invited. But in both the case with Russia and Iran the elections were criticized for deviating from, international recommendations/principles regarding fair election, as well as national law.

Sending observers isn’t to be seen as an accusation about something, it’s just to safeguard that democratic principles are followed and that there are no doubts about the outcome. It’s also about observing to aid in improving the system and processes by identifying intentional or unintentional deviations.

    • Gary P Jackson

I’m continually amazed how democrats are so willing to cede American sovereignty to a foreign power.

Here’s the thing, it’s the DEMOCRATS who have turned voter fraud into an art form. Stealing elections into a way of life. Hell, the NAACP have taken over Houston’s voter process, and there is massive vote fraud every election down there. Unfortunately, local election judges have let it stand. The Texas Attorney General needs to look into this. BTW, the corrupt Congresswoman from that district, Sheila Jackson-Lee, has been involved in one of the largest cases of Medicare fraud in history, and will likely win re-election in a landslide, because of fraud and voter intimidation that takes place down there. The King Street Patriots, have taken the entire democrat machine to court over all of their fraudulent behavior.

Why do you think democrats are fighting so hard to stop states from requiring an ID to vote? You can’t sign up for welfare or food stamps without a valid ID, but dems claim forcing people to have an ID to vote discriminates against poor people. Bullshit.

      http://t.co/POnJgcoO

BTW, President Obama was once an ACORN street thug. ACORN was the vote fraud arm of the democrat party, and has been broken up due to so many convictions of vote fraud.

These UN stooges are only targeting areas where Republicans dominate the population. It’s a form of voter intimidation. The law in Texas states no one may come within a 100 yards of a polling place that is engaged in partisan activities. We already have election judges, both Republican and democrat, watching these polling activities. We don’t need a bunch of foreign thugs interfering.

The United States is a sovereign nation. If the UN stooges attempt to interfere I hope they all end up in jail.

  6. Stephen Smith

Yes I agree, as far as King Samir Shabazz, is concerned I would like to met that piece of shit in person? Having one leg up on exactly how to penetrate and destroy little existence is what I love to do!
