John Boehner Was Losing and Won By Bribing Representatives With Favors! Now That Is Wrong!

louis gohmert and michele bachmannThis is outrageous.  In my previous post, It is Time to Apologize to the Tea Party, we learned that Michele Bachmann was not talking to reporters about her vote to renew John Boehner’s speakership at the last minute, and wondered if it was because she was embarrassed, or hiding something.  Well, now we may know why she kept quiet!  John Boehner was losing support and about to lose his Speakership, but just like ObamaCare was passed with bribes, Speaker Boehner may have used similar tactics to convince the few needed to vote for him by rewarding them with favors, favors including being made part of certain committees, or giving certain bills a chance to be looked at in committees.

According to Congressman Louis Gohmert,  “We don’t do earmarks anymore.  That use  to be the way you would get people on board.”

Thankfully, Congressman Louis Gohmert shared what he knew about this vote in an interview with Larry O’Connor of Breitbart News here.

Now, GOP Voters, I am addressing this to you. You need to let your representatives know that the State’s concerns can come second to the nation’s, and that .you are willing to SACRIFICE a bill or two  if the country’s needs are not being met. Replacing John Boehner would have been a start in the right direction, but yet another opportunity has been wasted.  Please tell them to stop using the state as an excuse for doing the WRONG THING!

The following twelve representatives did not play Boehner’s dirty game.  They deserve our praise and recognition.  They will probably be outcasts now in DC.

Rep. Justin Amash (R-MI) Rep. Jim Bridenstine (R-OK) Rep. Paul Broun (R-GA) Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-TX) Rep. Tim Huelskamp (R-KS) Rep. Walter  Jones (R-NC) Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY) Rep. Steve Pearce (R-NM) Rep. Ted Yoho (R-FL) Voted Present: Rep. Stockman (R-TX) Abstained: Rep. Labrador (R-ID) Rep. Mulvaney (R-SC).

We must remember these 12 and make sure that they get the funds they need for their re-elections, they probably won’t get much help from the Republican party. It is very disappointing that some of the people forcefully advocating the right direction caved to Boehner. I was almost devistated to hear that Bachmann provided the 218th vote. What a lost opportunity! Very sad!

  2. Thanks for Rep. Gohmert – and our own fearless Isabel Matos! – for bringing this stinking corruption to our attention! We certainly have our work cut out for us; and although there are some “sellouts” on that list that I’m willing to forgive – but just this time – we actually have an
open field and a simply GREAT opportunity for everyone with REAL Tea Party bona fides to step up and be willing to primary the hogs at the trough! As for Bonehead, that should be target # One – and put plenty of crosshairs on his district on the target map! Let the PC crowd whine all they want – we’ve GOTTA be out for BLOOD (proverbally speaking only, of course)!!

      lOl but true!

I just want to point out one good thing about what happened .. John Boehner was indeed losing, so it shows he had to work really hard to make his Speakership happen. That being said, there is no excuse for the leaders to have voted like they did. I am proud of the twelve who stood strong. WE need to expose the bad and reward the good – what an old-fashioned concept!

  3. John Boehner is a notorious drunk who refuses to cut the federal budget!

    • Isabel Matos

I agree but he is more drunk with power and so are all the sellout politicians who enable him.

We must begin reform by admitting there IS a problem, and this type of dealing IS corruption. Voters who support these representatives who are in denial are contributing to corruption by not admitting their candidates are a part of it. Already I have received complaints that I am singling her out ~ I am not, but since she goes around promoting herself as a Tea Party activist and a Conservative, it only makes her actions that much more egregious and her opportunism that much more transparent. What I am doing is pointing out what drives her, to me it is Self-Promotion and being afraid she will be the odd man out, which also shows she is weak in character. I am not here to trash anyone’s reputation, but when you tell the truth which tends to ruffle feathers! We need to get over that.

Thanks for stopping by and leaving a comment. I appreciate it! Please share this link wherever you can.

Michele Bachmann shows her true colors once again, a real Beltway phoney!

    • Isabel Matos

Yes, indeed! Nice to see you here. Thanks for dropping by and chiming in. I am not here to trash anyone’s reputation, but when corruption is this glaring, someone has to tell the truth!
