Howard Dean: Yes, There Are Death Panels in ObamaCare! Governor Sarah Palin Responds

obama-obamacare-death-panel-kathleen-sebelius
By Gary P Jackson

In 2009, the corrupt democrat-centric “PolitiFact” called Sarah Palin’s proclamation that ObamaCare had “death panels” essentially unelected, unaccountable, bureaucrats who could grant or deny treatment to patients, based on age, or even how much they “contribute” to society, the “Lie of the Year“. As we have learned since, the only lie, and liars, are those who have called Governor Palin a liar, and those who continue to lie about the absence of death panels in ObamaCare.

These death panels, known as the Independent Payment Advisory Board [IPAB] are what everyone was talking about.

On Friday, August 7, 2009 Governor Sarah Palin wrote: [emphasis mine]

Statement on the Current Health Care Debate

As more Americans delve into the disturbing details of the nationalized health care plan that the current administration is rushing through Congress, our collective jaw is dropping, and we’re saying not just no, but hell no!

The Democrats promise that a government health care system will reduce the cost of health care, but as the economist Thomas Sowell has pointed out, government health care will not reduce the cost; it will simply refuse to pay the cost. And who will suffer the most when they ration care? The sick, the elderly, and the disabled, of course. The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s “death panel so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their “level of productivity in society,” whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.

Health care by definition involves life and death decisions. Human rights and human dignity must be at the center of any health care discussion.

Rep. Michele Bachmann highlighted the Orwellian thinking of the president’s health care advisor, Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, the brother of the White House chief of staff, in a floor speech to the House of Representatives. I commend her for being a voice for the most precious members of our society, our children and our seniors.

We must step up and engage in this most crucial debate. Nationalizing our health care system is a point of no return for government interference in the lives of its citizens. If we go down this path, there will be no turning back.

Ronald Reagan once wrote, “Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we’ll ever see on this earth.” Let’s stop and think and make our voices heard before it’s too late.
~ Sarah Palin

Rep. Bachmann’s speech can be viewed here:

Since Governor Palin’s ground-shaking Facebook post, some of Obama’s closest advisers have admitted that death panels do, indeed, exist.

steve-rattner-We-Need-Death-Panels

Last September Steven Rattner, President’s former [and failed] Car Czar wrote an op-ed in the New York Times that not only admitted death panels were a part of Obama’s treacherous legislation, but the rationing of health care was essential: [emphasis mine]

Beyond Obamacare

WE need death panels.

Well, maybe not death panels, exactly, but unless we start allocating health care resources more prudently — rationing, by its proper name — the exploding cost of Medicare will swamp the federal budget.

But in the pantheon of toxic issues — the famous “third rails” of American politics — none stands taller than overtly acknowledging that elderly Americans are not entitled to every conceivable medical procedure or pharmaceutical.

Most notably, President Obama’s estimable Affordable Care Act regrettably includes severe restrictions on any reduction in Medicare services or increase in fees to beneficiaries. In 2009, Sarah Palin’s rant about death panels even forced elimination from the bill of a provision to offer end-of-life consultations.

At the time I wrote:

In her 2009 article Sarah Palin mentions Dr Ezekiel Emanuel, Rahm Emanuel’s brother and Obama’s adviser on ObamaCare. Dr Emanuel is the creator of the so-called “Complete Lives System” a document that would make Dr Josef Mengele proud. I suggest everyone read Emanuel’s report entitled: Principles for allocation of scarce medical interventions to understand how these people’s thinking works.

More here.

While admitting death panels exist, Rattner still felt compelled to lie about Medicare as well as take a gratuitous shot at Governor Palin. Fact is, ObamaCare is hateful, as hateful as the democrats who created it. All one has to do is read Dr Emanuel’s little essay to understand evil in our time.

In a recent Wall Street Journal op-ed, Governor Howard Dean, a one time presidential candidate, and a doctor, while shilling for ObamaCare in general, took a big swipe at the death panels included in this evil law, even going so far as saying this panels should be abolished! [emphasis mine]

One major problem is the so-called Independent Payment Advisory Board.

The IPAB is essentially a health-care rationing body. By setting doctor reimbursement rates for Medicare and determining which procedures and drugs will be covered and at what price, the IPAB will be able to stop certain treatments its members do not favor by simply setting rates to levels where no doctor or hospital will perform them.

There does have to be control of costs in our health-care system. However, rate setting—the essential mechanism of the IPAB—has a 40-year track record of failure. What ends up happening in these schemes (which many states including my home state of Vermont have implemented with virtually no long-term effect on costs) is that patients and physicians get aggravated because bureaucrats in either the private or public sector are making medical decisions without knowing the patients. Most important, once again, these kinds of schemes do not control costs. The medical system simply becomes more bureaucratic.

The nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office has indicated that the IPAB, in its current form, won’t save a single dime before 2021. As everyone in Washington knows, but less frequently admits, CBO projections of any kind—past five years or so—are really just speculation. I believe the IPAB will never control costs based on the long record of previous attempts in many of the states, including my own state of Vermont.

If Medicare is to have a secure future, we have to move away from fee-for-service medicine, which is all about incentives to spend more, and has no incentives in the system to keep patients healthy. The IPAB has no possibility of helping to solve this major problem and will almost certainly make the system more bureaucratic and therefore drive up administrative costs.

To date, 22 Democrats have joined Republicans in the House and Senate in support of legislation to do away with the IPAB. Yet because of the extraordinary partisanship on Capitol Hill and Republican threats to defund the law through the appropriations process, it is unlikely that any change in the Affordable Care Act will take place soon.

The IPAB will cause frustration to providers and patients alike, and it will fail to control costs. When, and if, the atmosphere on Capitol Hill improves and leadership becomes interested again in addressing real problems instead of posturing, getting rid of the IPAB is something Democrats and Republicans ought to agree on.

Governor Dean is right. Anytime government attempt to impose price controls on goods and services the results are disastrous. We saw this during the Nixon administration, the liberal president’s answer to run away inflation, that led to the incredible rise in the price of gasoline, and other commodities, and eventually shortages.

Here’s a thought provoking essay from Jack Rafuse from 2007 that speaks to the horrors of government imposed price and wage controls.

On Tuesday night, Governor Palin talked at length with Sean Hannity about ObamaCare and the looming disaster all American’s face:

The GOPe Is Pushing Amnesty Because They Are Just A Bunch of Wimps!

If you have read some of my articles, you will have seen parts of this before, but the word needs to get out, and I am hoping with a video we will keep the conversation alive through a different venue. Our GOP is pandering for votes behind our backs.  If they were proud of what they were doing, they would be talking about it every day or posting it all over their Facebook walls. It’s bad enough that Fox News continues to ignore the subject. Amnesty is the GOP’s ObamaCare and needs to be part of the conversation.  I will have some updates on this, but good news is hard to find because Rino work in sneaky ways.

One of the issues that bothered me was the Steve King accusations.  Steve King was talking about having Town Halls to talk about Amnesty, and the subject has just about disappeared. Luckily, everything Cantor and Boehner threw at him (smears) didn’t stick. He was right about young illegals smuggling drugs, but that didn’t stop Boehner from threatening to remove him from committees. These are delays and setbacks put in our way to stop us, by none other than our frenemy Boehner who will stop at nothing to antagonize Conservatives in the House.  Paul Ryan has also mentioned at his town meeting in Racine which included illegals, that the vote might be delayed until October, which is fine with me, as long as there is transparency in the process.

Phony Scandals Are the Product of the Triumvirate of Hypocrisy

by Whitney Pitcher

On Friday, Governor Palin hammered President Obama for characterizing his lapses of leadership, his administration’s corruption, and his neglect of the Constitution  as merely “phony scandals”:

On her “redneck whiteboard”, Governor Palin noted several real scandals of the Obama White House: 1) IRS targeting of Tea Party groups 2) Benghazi 3) Accessing Fox News journalist, James Rosen’s email 4) NSA spying 5) Holder’s perjury 6) Fast and Furious 7) Obamacare lies…and the list continues.

Governor Palin is the perfect person to distinguish between real and phone scandals. When she took the reins as Governor, she did so on the heels of a massive vote buying scandal that indicted members of the Alaska legislature and Governor Murkowski’s staff. Prior to that, she had called out the real scandal of the head of the Alaska GOP, Randy Ruedrich, doing party business on state time. She recognizes scandal because she has often had to clean it up.

When it comes to Governor Palin herself, the media, the Left, and establishment Republicans have all tried to spin faux scandals as legitimate scandals and have tried to turn lies and half truths into scandals. During the 2008 presidential campaign, the media claimed that Palin, as mayor, tried to ban books before they were even written. Some in the media, and people like Andrew Sullivan to this day, questioned that she was the mother of her son, Trig. The Left once tried to claim that  during Palin’s childhood, the Heath family, received socialized medicine in Canada (before Canada even had universal health care).  At one point in 2010, the media tried to turn the language in her speaking contracts into a giant scandal over, gasp, bottles of water and bendable straws. The media and the Left have searched her emails looking for scandal only to find that she was a hard working dedicated governor. Recently, the media, the Left and the Establishment GOP have all tried to paint her as a consultant-laden, hypocritical politico because she dared to have her PAC spend money on things like postage.   The list could go on and on of examples of phony scandals drudged up by the triumvirate of hypocrisy–of the media, the Left, and the Establishment GOP.

If the Obama administration is trying to find phony scandal, look no further than all the garbage that has been thrown at Governor Palin over the years. Real scandal lies in the fact that the American people have been the targets of intense, gratuitous IRS scrutiny, that the 4th amendment has been desecrated by the NSA, and that four brave, patriotic men died in Benghazi because of a lack of true leadership. Those are real scandals, and it is an insult to the American people to assume we are in capable of recognizing the truth about the lies of the Obama administration.

H/T to “Woot6”   for the inspiration for this post.

Governor Sarah Palin on “Phony Scandals” and Obama’s “Cowardly Attempts to Run Out the Clock”

cudastrikesarah27scorsair

By Gary P Jackson

Governor Sarah Palin comes out swinging in this hard hitting interview with Greta:

She takes on Obama, the corrupt media, and even Senator John McCain’s inept 2008 campaign that was too timid, and allowed this disaster of man to become President.

She takes a swipe at Karl Rove and the GOP Elites™ as well.

Governor Sarah Palin to Speak at Huge Ag PhD Field Day on Thursday

Ag-PhD-Farm-Field-Day-Logo-nyr

By Gary P Jackson

Billed as “the largest private farm field day in the Midwest in 2013” Sarah Palin will be speaking at Ag PhD’s Field Day on Thursday in South Dakota.

From their website:

We invite you to join us for a free Ag PhD Field Day on our farm near Baltic, SD on Thursday, July 25th from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.! Our goal with the Field Day is to create a one-day event where you can learn more about how to raise better crops by hearing from a host of expert guest speakers, seeing new technologies in the field, participating in hands-on demonstrations, and visiting with other top farmers from around the country. I know you are busy. My calendar is always full, too, but we are hoping you will block out just one day this summer to come and visit us. Even if you have attended our Field Day in the past, you won’t want to miss this one as I believe we have our best lineup of speakers including Sarah Palin, our best field trial comparisons, more displays than ever before, and a number of unique things you won’t see elsewhere.

We have several air conditioned tents, as well as a new air conditioned shed and other sheds on the field day site, so we are prepared for the elements – of course, we’re praying for a beautiful day. We will again have trams and golf carts available if you need those services. Lunch, supper, snacks, and drinks will be provided at no charge throughout the day.

Here are some of the many activities that will be going on throughout the day:

*Guest speakers including Sarah Palin

*Corn Panel featuring Darren Hefty & several high-yield corn farmers

*Soybean Panel featuring Brian Hefty & several high-yield soybean farmers

*Wheat Panel featuring Rob Fritz, Phil Needham, & high-yield wheat farmers

*Estate Planning with one of the top estate lawyers in the country

*Drainage Law with one of the best drainage lawyers in the country

*Grain marketing sessions with grain marketing experts

*Crop insurance sessions

*Live Ag PhD Radio Show with Brian & Darren

*Speakers on irrigation & drainage through tile lines plus a live tiling demo and a lift station

*Brian & Darren give their evaluations on the field plots

*A special Brian vs. Darren field day section with corn, soybeans, and wheat

*Kid’s Area complete with games, inflatables, and other entertainment.

We believe our Ag PhD Field Day will again be the largest private farm field day in the Midwest in 2013; but more importantly, we hope it will be the most educational and entertaining for you. Last year, we had farmers from 24 different U.S. states and 2 Canadian provinces; so, if nothing else, if you just talk to farmers all day, you ought to get a pretty good idea what the crop is like everywhere else, and you’ll learn more about what other successful farmers are doing in their operations to get ahead.

There will also be free health screenings and other activities at the event.

Sex For Breakfast?

SEXCEREAL

No scientific evidence… But the sellers of SexCereal claim nevertheless that eating just three tablespoons of the stuff will leave you full of vigour all day long

By Gary P Jackson

Proving that us men have pretty much one thing on our mind, and that there’s always new and inventive ways for entrepreneurs to make a buck or two off that, I give you the latest “health food” trend coming down the pike.

It may be the last thing you are thinking about as you rush out of the door to work, but eating a good breakfast could really spice up your love life.

As long as what is in your bowl is SexCereal, that is – or so its makers claim.

The firm behind a new muesli say it is nothing less than ‘passion in a bowl’, full of exotic ingredients that increase sexual desire.

In fact, they claim eating just three tablespoons could leave you full of vigour all day long.

A spokesman for retailer Firebox.com added: ‘Please use it in moderation, otherwise you’ll be climbing up the walls by lunchtime.

The £9.99 cereal, which is going on sale in Britain for the first time, comes in two special mixtures for men and women.

The spokesman said: ‘Select your preferred formula, follow the surprisingly small serving suggestion and just add milk or yoghurt.

Designed to boost your energy and hormone levels, SexCereal contains cacao beans and maca powder, a ground plant root with purported aphrodisiac qualities.

The women’s cereal is a mixture of ginger, almonds, cranberries, sunflower seeds, oat bran, flax seeds and chia plant seeds.

The male version uses bee pollen, wheat germ, black sesame seeds, blueberries, goji berries and camu camu – a fruit which is high in vitamin C.

Creator Peter Ehrlich said: ‘If you have a bowl, you’re not going to get aroused in 20 minutes.

But SexCereal is real, honest, nutritious and tastes great.

He added that he came up with the idea at a vegan food fair, where he saw foods aimed at solving a range of health problems – but none that boosted sexual health.

After several months on shelves, the cereal has gained a strong following in America.

More here.

It goes without saying there is no medical evidence this pretty basic granola cereal does anything for one’s sex life, though it should be very healthy. Minus the supposed aphrodisiacs, one can buy pretty much the same blends at the local grocery store for around $3.00 US!

The ploy of having a different blend for men and women may actually have merit, but again, for a lot less you can get something comparable. Also having a women’s blend makes it more respectable for us men. At least that’s my theory!

If you want to have vim and vigor, eat right, plenty of whole grains and fresh fruit, and get plenty of exercise, even if all you can do is walk 2-5 miles a day. That’ll do more for you, but won’t be as sexy! You’re heart, however, will thank you!

Dear Governor Palin, Please Help Us Stop Amnesty By Calling Us To Action!

 PICTURE

Dear Sarah,

I have never asked you for anything, but I am asking you to please lead the charge in helping us stop the Amnesty Bill from passing in the House.

RUBIO is R.I.P. for me, so is McCain and the rest of the Gang of 8. Their careers mean nothing. Our country does. We’re stuck cleaning the damage they did by passing Amnesty in the Senate. As if that was not enough, they have the gall  to continue working against us by targeting House Republicans to pass it there (see link below).  They are disrespecting Americans and disregarding the Rule of Law.

This AMNESTY bill is beatable, but ACTIVISM is needed.  We can target our representatives the way big business and the Gang of 8 have targeted them.

Focus is the key to success. I’m here to focus, not squander time. Based on all that I have read so far, if Amnesty passes, it will create a permanent progressive majority, and add an estimated 30 million new Democratic voters after all is said and done. I am stunned by those numbers, and the fact that not one election has garnered the Hispanic vote for Republicans, so why do Republicans vote for it?

I believe our Representatives need to hear and know the facts.  I’ve quoted these stats several times – from a Pew Research Poll Mark Levin read on his show: http://wwwthefollowup.blogspot.  Numbers don’t lie. The message is short, quick to read and easy to pass along to our Representatives who seem to be clueless and poorly informed on the matter. Pompous and pretentious Eric Cantor is on a “Become America” tour to educate us on Immigration Reform. I believe we need to remind Cantor, Boehner, and Ryan that their job is to protect us, not to jeopardize our national security by pushing an agenda that legalizes illegals. Terrorists do a good job of gaming the system every time politicians weaken the laws.  Making laws about feelings is not the purpose of making laws!

So, I ask: Where is the urgency to stop this bill???

Sarah, the last time you called on us to contact our Senators we did. It made a huge difference!  Here we have a supposed majority in the house. We could win, but we have no leadership in the House. (Both mean well, but Michele Bachmann is too ineffective and Steve King only has 12,000 likes on his page.) We need someone who gets results by calling us, the troops, to action. It is my belief that it is better to be not to wait until the bill is passed to have twenty-twenty hind sight and complain about what happened after the fact.  Like I said at the beginning. I couldn’t care less about anyone’s career. I care about the country.

We can continue to push for Hillary, the White House and the Pentagon to be convicted over Benghazi (we need aggressive investigations), and we can continue to support Ted Cruz and others in defunding ObamaCare, but this particular issue can be stopped. Now. It is within our power to:

Seize the Opportunity. Act. And Make a Difference.

Darling Trey Gowdy has betrayed this country by pushing for a “humanitarian pathway to citizenship”, from I understand, to grease and line his fancy former-prosecuting pockets. I do believe that if enough pressure is applied, though, we can teach our Representatives the evils of this bill. We can make them see (with proof) that it is a communist-conceived agenda, and that all they are doing is helping to make that communist dream come true. I love the word communist.

Luis Gutierrez, former Marxist-Leninist of the Socialist Party in Puerto Rico, was enlisted by John Boehner to co-write the bill.  Paul Ryan is in charge of making sure Republicans vote for it.  Ryan makes no sense trying to justify the bill or his own actions. He wouldn’t even go on Mark Levin’s show after meeting with Gutierrez, even though the communist agitator and amnesty activist (I refuse to call Gutierrez a far left liberal) proudly displays photos of Ryan visiting Chicago on his wall. If Ryan wouldn’t talk to Mark Levin, why would we expect him or anyone else in DC to listen to our concerns? (Ryan eventually went on the show, but it shows the alienation and distance they have with their base).

I have tried to call attention to the matter on Twitter, Facebook, and my own wall, and there is interest, but the Zimmerman trial and the non-issue of race relations dominates the news. It is disappointing that our own network is intentionally not covering Immigration Reform. This results in Amnesty being inexistent, and I find the complacency unsettling! Let’s not wait until its too late.

Congress is in Recess August 2nd. That’s our chance. South Carolina, Virginia, Ohio are in particular states that can help overturn this bill, according to Steve King. Maybe we can stop some representatives on the target list from being tempted to sell us out. Maybe we can do Town Halls. Definitely we need to contact our Representatives not just via email, or voicemail, or even once! WE just need to show up and make some noise locally, often and like lobbyists who nag their own (nicely of course). But we can’t sit around and do nothing.

AMNESTY is not about our leaders, their corruption or even jobs, it’s about National Security and the preservation of a two-party system. Let’s not feel sorry for anyone. Let’s put this on top of our agenda and do something about it today!

Thank you, Sarah.  If you made this call to get us moving I would be grateful..

I am, faithfully yours,

Isabel

P.S.  I love this picture of you. It shows you don’t let anyone invade your space. I would trust you not to lead by not letting anyone invade (or reward anyone for crossing) our borders illegally, and I’m a proud Hispanic.

fists up Sarah

How Violations of Privacy and Broad Brush Strokes Diminish Human Dignity

by Whitney Pitcher

human-dignity2

Between the seemingly daily revelation of the federal (and even local) government’s violations of Americans’ privacy and the media and political reaction to the George Zimmerman verdict, the constant disregard for the human dignity has become tiresome.

Over the past couple months, we have learned that the federal government is collecting metadata on our phone calls (e.g. who we’ve called and how long we talked with them) and that local police departments are able to take photos of our licence plates, sometimes keeping such photos (and a snapshot of our location at a given time) indefinitely. Obamacare includes numerous ways in which the IRS will collect information regarding not only our income, but our health insurance, and often share this with other agencies. Immigration reform proposals have included national biometric databases, and gun control proposals have included changes to HIPAA regulations to allow doctors to disclose mental health information about patients.  Common core educational policy includes massive data tracking of American children.

The federal government collects all of this data on our lives (often “accidentally” disclosing it) often without our consent. Essentially, we become naked before the government, in an informational sense– our private data laid bare. This diminishes human dignity…and our liberty. The government knows (or has in place the potential to know) the intricate details of our comings and goings, and this makes us less free. It also means that the government knows our uniqueness, but only in the terms of categorical or continuous variables in some massive database that would put Karl Rove to shame.

While the surveillance state and a “big brother” government seek to know the unique details of our lives, the paternalism of such ideology also seeks to paint us with broad brush strokes of generalities. When a horrific shooting occurs in Aurora, Colorado or Newtown, Connecticut or when a  FBI investigation or trial verdict violates preconceptions, the President calls for soul searching. In doing so he paints Americans with a broad brush–all Americans have the meditations in our heart to kill or to act in a racist manner.  We’re a nation of cowards, according to Eric Holder. Somehow the government that seeks the unique details of our lives, also paints us as violent and racist across the board–even while they rightfully call out those who paint African Americans with broad brush strokes. This violates our dignity. We are not seen as unique individuals judged by the content of character through our words and actions. We are prejudged as needing to soul search because of the actions of others, not ourselves.

Again, the government seeks to become god. However, the true God both knows the number of hairs on our heads (Matthew 10:30), and He does so without having to keep a massive database. He has discerned the words on our lips before we speak them (Psalm 139:4).  He knows the motivations of our hearts. The true “prism” is not a data mining surveillance government surveillance program, nor the “soul searching” prism through which the President often patronizing instructs us to view the world. The true prism by which we must see those around us is by through the prism of everyone being created in the image of God. This is the only way to ensure we are treating others with the dignity they deserve. God is the only one who truly knows such intricate details of our lives, and He is the only one who knows our motivations.

Paul Ryan is Pushing Amnesty with Luis Gutierrez Who is Bad News for This Country’s Security!

Meet Luis V. Gutierrez.  He is a key member of the Gang of 7 co-writing the House Amnesty Bill (see my article “The Communist Party USA has infiltrated the GOP. I knew it!”) I was browsing on the internet today and found this:

luis v. gutierrez

It is, as you can see, the cover of this Communist dirt-bag’s page saying: “As a member of the House Judiciary Committee I’m requesting that Chairman Robert Goodlatte hold hearings into the Trayvon Martin case: www.bit.ly/15L9ZfV ‪#‎JusticeForTrayvon‬ ‪#‎HoodiesUp‬ — at United States Capitol.” (Robert Goodlatte, for your information, is one of the five House Committee chairmen on Benghazi.. the one which has pretty much absolved Hillary Clinton and the Pentagon from any wrong-doing in Benghazi. They say it isn’t over, but we know there will be nothing done. Who can believe a word the GOP tells us?)

Luis-Gutierrez-E-Verify-LATINO_t750x550-e1373933504890

“As a member of the House Judiciary Committee I’ve requested hearings into the Trayvon Martin case ASAP. When any child is gunned down and no one goes to jail, it is incumbent on lawmakers at the highest level of government to investigate whether justice has been done.” -LVG

Now, I don’t know about you, the reader, but I am pretty sick and tired of hearing about the Zimmerman trial since it was over two days ago.  The verdict was not guilty, and that should have put all discussion to rest.  Mr. Gutierrez is a shameless agitator and race baiter, and Paul Ryan should be ashamed of himself for being such good friends with him.  Within an hour of the post above, a Spanish-speaking blog turned it into an article. I imagine this will incite even more protests, only among Hispanics. One of the commenters said “Even though Zimmerman is Hispanic, he is still a murderer.”  It is absolutely appalling.rep gutierrez

Luis Gutierrez is the absurd company Paul Ryan keeps. If people in high positions like Paul Ryan are not looking out for us who will? It is Paul Ryan’s job to protect us.  Rep. Gutierrez is a former Marxist-Leninist and has been agressive with immigration reform, so of course I am concerned. I wanted to look into his past a little more. I found a great clip by Mark Levin that spells out exactly who he is.  After this event took place, which Luis Gutierrez proudly posted on his wall on April 22, 2013:

Crossing the Aisle to Get Immigration Reform Done This Year (30 photos)

On Monday, Paul Ryan and I met with Chicago’s immigrant community, local leaders, and clergy in the morning; and then spoke together about the need for immigration reform at the City Club of Chicago.  Paul Ryan is a great speaker and a persuasive messenger on the topic of immigration reform with other Republicans. We don’t agree on many issues outside of immigration reform, but working with him gives me confidence that we will get immigration reform done this year

ryan and gutierrez
April 23rd, 2013: “I would not call us odd.” –Luis V. Gutierrez

April 23rd: Mark Levin talks about how disappointed he is in Paul Ryan visiting the City Club of Chicago, an outreach to radical left-wing nut jobs like Luis Gutierrez, highlighting throughout the show the importance of being against Immigration Reform because of it being a question of national security.

Mark reads a letter from Deborah Burlingame whose brother had been murdered in the cockpit on 9/11.  In the letter she expresses her disappointment in Ryan, citing his dismissing the Boston bombings relevance in an effort to push through immigration reform without due consideration to the contents of the legislation.

(Deborah to Ryan): This dismissal was especially chilling given the fact that your Immigration Reform partner, Rep. Gutierrez was the chief spokesman for the political wing of the FALN [the Spanish acronym for Armed Forces of National Liberation] terrorist organization which carried out 146 bombings in a 25-year period, killing 9 people and injuring and maiming dozens.

Rep. Gutierrez was the chief advocate for the pardoning of 16 convicted  FALN members, whose sentences ranged up to 90 years, men and women so dangerous they were shackled for their trial and the presiding judge wore a gun under his robes because they had threatened to kill him in open court.

Rep. Gutierrez against all evidence, including FBI undercover videotapes of these people making bombs, called them political prisoners, and threatened to marshal the Puerto Rican community against the Clintons, Vice President Gore, then preparing a presidential run as well.

It’s not surprising therefore that Mr. Gutierrez would be unalarmed by the fact that a wannabe terrorist under scrutiny by the FBI would be a candidate for U.S. citizenship. Terrorists have a history of defrauding the political system, gaming the political asylum process and using the guest worker program to gain temporary access into the United States only to disappear into the population. Our over-burdened system doesn’t bother to look for them.  Several of the 1993 bombers came in through the Ad-Jobs program. The 9/11 hijackers overstayed tourist visas.  The Millennium bomber gamed the immigration system in Canada and tried to enter the U.S. through Port, Washington. He was only stopped because of an astute border agent.

Please be warned, Mr. Gutierrez is not a good-faith partner in this effort. His history with the FALN is proof of that. The record is replete with his letters and threats. I am including the piece I wrote for the Wall Street Journal.  All of my source documents were found in the Congressional investigation that took place in the wake of these pardons. And among the people I interviewed was the chief FBI agent Rick Haun who hunted the FALN for years, as well as the New York Bomb Squad whose officers were permanently disabled in those bombings.

I have informed Joseph Conner whose father was killed in the FALN Fraunces Tavern bombing in New York City, of your partnership with Mr. Gutierrez and your joint affirmation that the Boston bombings had no relevance to immigration legislation.

Very truly yours, Deborah Burlingame, Co-founder of the 9/11 Families for a Safe and Strong America.  http://therightscoop.com/mark-levin-paul-ryan-making-it-difficult-for-me-to-support-him-for-president-should-he-choose-to-run/

I do not understand why representatives in Washington feel the need to be friendly with the left. If they wanted to be heroes, they could just follow in the footsteps of Ted Cruz and have all the love and praise in the world from their base, but they don’t look to us for that. They act like scared outcasts who want to be IN in DC. Here is Luis Gutierrez on April 16th, prior to Ryan’s visit, working it!

This is not Ryan’s first time in Chicago but it is his first time at a pro-immigrant event in our pro-immigrant city. Let’s show Rep. Ryan – an influential voice among House Republicans – the enthusiasm and strength of Chicago’s pro-immigrant community, and in so doing impress upon him that by standing with immigrants he’s standing on the right side of history.  Join me next Monday…

When I saw these pictures I just wanted to sink my head in my hands and scream. Earth to Paul Ryan! Pushing this bill is wrong for America. What are you thinking? Nothing you are saying makes sense. Stop it!

I am not pleased at all that the Amnesty Bill is not being criticized enough. I know we are overburdened, but this bill cannot pass! We must not be like sitting ducks.  Trey Gowdy recently came out a little weak-kneed as well, claiming that the system is broken and needed to be fixed. Wrong! That is a communist talking point. The system is fine and it does not need fixing!  We cannot be weak-kneed or lazy. We have to be proactive. We ARE dealing with communists and cunning snakes. We cannot give an inch. With all of this courting, friendliness, and brainwashing by the infiltrators that is going on, who would?
