Matt Walsh: An Open Letter to President Obama

Posted on October 3, 2013 by

Dear President Obama,

You strike me as the sort of man who spends a lot of time staring at his own reflection. I wonder, what do you see when you gaze so admiringly at yourself? What image do you find in that mirror of yours? Let me guess: a graceful Greek god with a golden crown, draped in luxurious robes, perched on a giant, magnificent throne atop a mountain in the sky? You see a throng of angels singing your praises and masses of subservient peasants prostrated before you, trembling with fear and awe? You see a man who is more than a man, and a president who transcends the presidency; you see a historic figure of immortal importance?

Yeah, that’s what I thought, and I can’t blame you, Mr. President. By all accounts, you’ve always been an arrogant, haughty narcissist — and that was before you became president. Your supporters and your enemies may argue over whether you descended from heaven on the back of a Pegasus, or were birthed from the bowels of Hell to bring about a Biblical apocalypse, but they both agree on one thing: you are a figure of great significance and immense power. You are either the anti-Christ or the Second Coming, with no room for anything in-between. Surely, this talk might cause even a humble man to slip into a state of vanity and pride, so I can only imagine what it must do to a man such as yourself, already so aloof and so conceited.

That’s why I’m writing this letter. My impression of you is quite different, and it has only been solidified by your performance during this shutdown/Obamacare debate. I find you to be a very small man, Mr. President. Far from larger than life, you are petty, frivolous, pathetic; sneering and pompous but also trifling and narrow. I don’t mean to dismiss or underestimate the damage you have done to this nation — it has certainly been profound and lasting — but I want you to know that your legacy will not be one of grandeur and brilliance; it will be the legacy of a shameless, desperate bully. Both your opponents and your proponents hoist you up as a world leader with a grand vision, whether benevolent or malevolent. I, on the other hand, believe you have the vision of a temperamental two year old. You simply want to feel like you’re in control; you want to “win,” you want everybody in the room to pay attention to you, and you’ll stomp your feet and whine until you get your way. You govern like a coddled toddler; it’s inappropriate to pejoratively refer to you as a “dictator,” but only because it lends you a certain unwarranted credibility. I think you wish to be a dictator, but instead you’re just a bumbling bureaucrat; easily replaced and even more easily forgotten. You have the ethics of Genghis Khan, but the leadership skills of Michael Scott. This is why we are forced to witness the spectacle of, for instance, our president brazenly threatening to invade another nation for no reason, only to clumsily abandon the idea after being publicly spanked by Putin.

Your legacy, Mr. President, will be defined by small, shameful things, as your presidency has been primarily a succession of small, shameful things. The platitudes you spouted during your campaign — the theatrics, the pomp, the hype — have all faded. Replaced by the scheming partisan machinations that have come to define your tenure.

Every president has a moment that encapsulates their time in office; your moment, Mr. President, happened this week. Sure, future generations will look at you with mockery and scorn because of bigger scandals — Benghazi, the IRS targeting conservatives, Obamacare, the birth control mandate and your attacks on religious liberty, spying on journalists, arming terrorists overseas, Fast and Furious, the green energy scams, the bailouts, your support for infanticide, the billions you’ve given to the abortion industry, your cowardice in refusing to address the Gosnell murders, your reckless exploitation of the Zimmerman trial, the out of control deficit spending, your refusal to enforce immigration laws, the massive expansion of the Welfare State, the lies, the broken promises, etc — but I think, in an understated way, what you’ve done this week is a better microcosm of your entire reign.

I’m not just referring to the fact that you are peddling the lie that “Republicans” have “shutdown the government,” when, in fact, they have attempted to pass several bills that would fund the government. Mr. President, you tell these fables to the trained seals in the media and your voting base, but you know damn well that any American with a capacity for critical thought will roundly reject this absurd narrative. YOU have chosen to “shut down” the government because you have made Obamacare the ultimate priority. You have said, “Obamacare or nothing,” and then accused Republicans of being the “hostage takers.” They are holding the government hostage by trying to fund it? What a silly idea. But then, you are a silly, ridiculous president. Speaking of which, this takes us right to your defining moment: barricading memorials and monuments in a ploy to win an argument.

Comparatively insignificant when stacked up against your war crimes and constitutional infringements, but it is nonetheless an apt illustration. The Lincoln Memorial is just a giant statue. There isn’t any reason why people shouldn’t be able to look at a statue during a government shutdown. In past shutdowns, the memorials were open, with only the information centers closing down. The Lincoln Memorial has never been completely closed off from the public until now. You have decided to spend money to block and guard open-air monuments, when it would be cheaper, require less staff, and be less onerous to simply leave them be. Is this some sort of bizarre punitive measure against the American taxpayer?

Infamously, you even attempted to stop WW2 veterans from visiting the WW2 memorial. That memorial is mostly privately funded, and is open 24 hours a day. You SPENT MONEY to physically guard the monument from a group of elderly war veterans. This is truly unprecedented. We have had horrible presidents in the past, but none quite so shallow, cheap and contemptible. You tried to close down Mt. Vernon, which is privately funded, but had to settle for closing its parking lot — even though the parking lot requires no immediate on-going maintenance or surveillance from any federal workers. Did you have to shut down the Normandy cemetery and memorial? Are we saving money that way? I doubt it.

It’s the same game you played during the sequester, and it comes as no surprise to those of us who pay attention (which means it came as a surprise to a large number of people). Rather than leading like a statesman, you hide in the shadows; scheming, conniving, exploiting. You emerge only to make hyper-partisan speeches, with rhetoric best left to Democratic talking heads on afternoon cable news shows. Far from being a “new kind of politician” (as you were advertised), you are the most political politician this country has ever seen. You are political to your core, in your essence, at an atomic level, and so you are unable to offer any direction or clarity when the nation needs it most. Sometimes, Mr. President, the affairs of this nation require a man, not a politician, and it is during those times that you are especially useless. You don’t have any interest in fixing our present crisis because you’re too busy finding ways to keep a busload of 90 year old war veterans from looking at a memorial.

Closing down parks, monuments and memorials just to score political points is hardly your most insidious deed, but it’s certainly one of your pettiest. That’s why it stands, ironically, as a monument of its own. If we ever build a statue of you, Mr. President, you won’t be triumphantly holding a flaming torch like Lady Liberty, or standing authoritatively with a look of determination, like the MLK memorial. No, it will be a statue of you pulling the wings off of a fly, or spitting in someone’s orange juice. It will show you in your essence, as monuments are meant to do. It will show you as a petulant, skulking, juvenile bully. It will you show you as you are.

And we’ll make sure it’s always open, especially during a government shut down.

Sincerely,

Matt Walsh

    Absolutely BRILLIANT REBUKE !

It’s amazing, isn’t it? He has a radio show, I believe in Kentucky, but he is from the Republic of Maryland. He just had twins, too. He has a very bright future ahead. He’s only 30 years old!

  2. George Dawson III

SIR YOU ARE A VERY OBSERVANT INDIVIDUAL WITH A SHARP EDUCATED AND CLEAR MANNER OF TELLING THE TRUTH
I THANK YOU AND SALUTE YOU WITH A HEARTY SEMPER Fi .!!!

  3. Thanks for finding this Isabel .. Matt’s “obituary” is full of all the right insights.

    • Isabel Matos

Hey David, Thanks! I can’t think of a better word to describe it. Just subscribed to your channel. Take care. Oh, by the way. Please circulate the letter in the RINO’S Facebook walls and Twitter if you can to make them see Obama is a puny man with no stature at all. They need not fear the bully.

  4. Kim

    This is such BS!!!

    • Isabel Matos

He’s spot on. You would not know the truth if it dropped like hail on your head.

      • military strategist

you should be able to tell from the very onset that this open letter is meerly a rant from someone who is blind to their own condition of self love, as well as blind to the republican arrogance that led to our current political stalemate.

      • Isabel Matos

That makes no sense. The only ones not willing to budge are Obama and Reid. Obama has made a fool of himself. Does he not realize that going after veterans who are in their eighties and nineties, war heroes deserving of respect, is the act of a coward? It’s spiteful and hateful and the letter is spot on! Obama is puny. He has no stature or self- respect. And speaking of self- love, narcissists tend to overcompensate for their feelings of inferiority and self- loathing. Your president psychologically is a piece of work.

  5. jsuave94

Honestly I don’t really find this article informative..or even logically thought out.
Paragraphs 1 and 2 are really just baseless claims(like most of what’s written in this essay) with no proof to back up so I will agree to ignore them

Further more if you have a problem with a president who signs laws for women’s rights(abortion), saving $200billion dollars(Obamacare), basic healthcare for all(Obamacare), or a president who has compassion for a murdered American(Zimmerman/Trayvon Trial) then you are pretty messed up

Most importantly it appears you have never read the constitution/a basic government book/ or kept up to date with the government shutdown(things I feel are necessary to write this article)..Obama is not responsible. The PPACA is his signature law that was written by a fairly-elected president, passed by a fairly-elected Congress, and upheld by a fairly-elected Supreme Court. To use the budget for the new fiscal year as a political tool to try and disable the PPACA is essentially ransom. Ted Cruz and John Boehner tried 40 times before to repeal it, and failed 40 times to repeal it. Now they are furloughing 800,000 jobs and holding the government hostage to meet their unpopular political agenda. The Tea Party faction of the GOP proposed a budget they knew would not pass. Furthermore, Obama has absolutely no hand in the preparation of the budget (read the Constitution, specifically the part about how ‘all bills of revenue must originate in the House’). The Executive branch only signs off on the budget once passed by both houses of Congress. So, ya know, the Constitution disagrees with you too.
Moral of the story: Obama is not to blame. Saying otherwise is an admission of ignorance.

    • Isabel Matos

Honestly, I cannot even begin to answer your question, as you and I are in different ball parks. I don’t argue with liberals or people who can’t tell the difference between facts and fiction. I also can’t begin to explain to someone who is absolving the president of responsibility from the current state of affairs were in, which are bleak. This is the same Presidnet who spent the first four years of term one blaming George Bush for everything. You can’t have it both ways. Your logic is skewed. You can’t see it. There is no point in making you see it because you do not want to.

Obamacare is deadly, literally. If you can’t see that, you are lost. President Obama is also responsible for the shutdown. He and Harry Reid want to use it cruelly to insist on deadly Obamacare because both are uncompromising. There have been seventeen shutdowns in the past, Obama is the only president who has not worked to end this one.

If you are saying it is the law of the land, then so are immigration laws and they are being broken. Obama’s appointments, his executive orders and declaring wars without Congress’s approval are also unconstitutional. He denied security to four servicemen in Libya, and has blood on his pretty hands, even though he didn’t kill anyone directly. All of this on his watch.

      He is cold.

Obama hates the military, our vets, our history and heritage, and he hates Christians. Wake up. Your part of the problem making excuses for a wannabe dictator who was chosen to lead and who has failed. He failed. And you will remember me and it will be too late when you can’t afford your life anymore. He doesn’t care about you or me. It’s about him. Always. That’s how narcissists are.

Have a great afternoon. Don’t nap too long.

P.s. I challenge you to read this. Nothing subjective here about how callous your President is. http://frontpagemag.com/2013/dgreenfield/obamas-shutdown-theater-kicks-senior-citizens-out-of-their-homes/

      • jsuave94

See the problem with me debating with you is that while I at least point to examples that can be proven you only use talking points that are completely subjective. “hates our military” I forgot that trying to end wars to bring our boys home safe and sound is “hatred” also most importantly this shut down is squarely on the shoulders of Republicans. By causing a shutdown they are putting those elderly citizens at risk not Obama. Obama had no say in drafting a budget that Republicans knew would fail. If they would learn to cross party lines and meet Democrats half way, a shut down wouldn’t have happened. Instead their pompousness will lead them to losing a 3rd presidential election in a row come 2016.
Now to Obamacare..did you know that it’ll save our country $200billion over time? In a time when we need every penny using the word “deadly” seems foolish to me. But maybe you consider Obama taking us into the 21st century by finally making strides to leave the title as one of the only 1st world countries without universal healthcare. How can providing healthcare for all be “deadly”? And yes I know how bad it kills you to hear this but Obamacare is not only legal, but supported by the supreme court and a fairly elected Congress. So it’s here to stay. Republicans fighting to not fund the bill is really just stupid
Seriously maybe if you took time to get informed about anything related social/political/economical landscape from a site with no agenda you would discover that Republicans are causing this country to collapse

      • Isabel Matos

I rest my case that it’s not possible to reason with someone who regurgitates fictitious talking points as facts.

      • military strategist

Your own party is saying that the social security system needs to be fixed, well the majority who are affected by changes to the social security are the rural poor in the bible belt, staunch republicans and parents and grandparents of hard working families. You see this as a fight between conservatives and liberals, on some levels yes. But the true battle is between rich and poor. You have been bated into the arguments as if you are choosing football teams to root for. poor you for choosing to smear and debase when you could lead fair debate and compromise. Watch this:
        http://progressivepopulist.org/2013/10/03/busted-leaked-emails-reveal-how-slimy-john-boehner-really-is-video/

      • Isabel Matos

The progressives in our party say it needs to be fixed. Conservatives are too busy just focusing on smaller government and all the runaway spending and lawlessness that Obama has brought on. That’s not even counting the scandals like Benghazi, IRS NSA and Fast and Furious. As for John , he should be your number one hero because he certainly has done little if anything at all for our party. You should send him your love. He’s not your enemy. Trust me. Obama has been able to advance his impoverishment of America thanks to him. Obama is creating an underclass of the middle class with obamacare. Thanks for stopping by.

      • Gary P Jackson

Sorry pal, linking to some radical anti-American “progressive” website don’t carry much weight with any one here. Conservatives aren’t exactly thrilled with Boehner, for any number of reasons, but one thing about it, he’s standing STRONG for the American people when it comes to defunding or repealing ObamaCare, and standing strong, so far, on stopping the runaway debt. He’s doing the job the American people sent him to Washington to do.

Nearly 70% of the American people want ObamaCare REPEALED. The majority of Americans have ALWAYS been against ObamaCare. That’s why the only way the anti-American democrats could pass that crap sandwich was doing it in the middle of the night, with ZERO Republican votes, and only then after multi-BILLION dollar bribes to numerous democrat politicians. Everyone involved belongs in prison.

This entire mess is Obama and his radical anti-American democrat party’s fault. Liberalism is the greatest evil mankind has ever faced. It’s a cancer on all of humanity. It MUST be wiped from the face of the earth.

The American people are rising up and liberalism will be defeated once and for all.

    • Sharon Wyser

BENGHAZI. Answer that, paid government troll.

    • Gary P Jackson

Pound for pound I have never seen so much bullshit in one reply to an article in my life!

First of all, ObamaCare is an absolute TRAIN WRECK, and it’s ALL Obama’s doing. It doesn’t “save” money, it ADDS nearly $3 TRILLION to our debt. Insurance premiums are going up as much as 260% and it’s ALREADY destroyed MILLIONS of jobs.

As for Trayvon Martin, he was a little THUG who tried to MURDER George Zimmerman. Thank GOD Zimmerman was armed and able to STOP Trayvon from murdering him. Trayvon was a drug dealer and a little gangsta wannabe. If Zimmerman hadn’t killed him, someone else would have, and sooner than later. It’s a damned shame anyone had to get killed, but Trayvon is the one who picked the thug lifestyle and Trayvon is the one who hid and waited to pounce on Zimmerman. He got what he deserved. PERIOD.

Roughly 70% of the American PEOPLE want ObamaCare REPEALED. It’s Barack Obama and his anti-American democrat party that have decided to declare war on the American people, rather than listen to them.

2014 is gonna be a reckoning, and Obama’s thug party is going DOWN.

  6. Every word absolutely true. Thank you for that. I hope that obama sees this. He won’t respond or acknowledge it, of course. But he needs to read those words. Maybe he will realize what people think of him. Of course,, we know he won’t. Another person that is totally giving him the truth is Judge Jeanine. She has several videos on you-tube. One made just yesterday. She doesn’t pull ANY punches. Watch them if you get a moment..

    • Isabel Matos

The best we can do is to post it on our Representatives’s walls. Send it via email. Have other people see it everywhere and be inspired to speak the truth. It is what it is, whether some of his supporters want to admit it or not. Thanks for stopping by.

Judge Jeanine has been pounding away for weeks, too. You are right about that, I have not missed her rants. They are priceless and spot on.

  7. I would like to post it everywhere!!!

  8. I read Mr. Walsh’s diatribe. I am no Obama apologist or todie. I like and enjoy hearing impassioned writing such as Mr. Walsh’s. However, the source of his rant is not clear. I don’t agree with the parks sites issue. However, everything he says especially the bully part seems like if “ya spot it, ya got it” Mr. Walsh comes across like a bully here and I assume the “Tea Party” cronies he represents. He accuses President Obama of no middle ground, yet he is clearly without middle ground, that President Obama has done absolutely nothing right. Really?? Nothing right?? His abject hatred wrapped in seemingly intelligent doesn’t fool me. He hates Obama to the core, and would not know objectivity if it landed in his soup filled with his own bitter tears. Nice try. Again. I am mixed about Obama..he is not a favorite of mine. But your writing Mr. Walsh, is just a fever wolf in sheep clothing.

    • Isabel Matos

That’s not way off, at least you recognize and admit Obama is not your favorite, so I credit you with that.

What Walsh is doing is puncturing the belief that many had of Obama ..that he would heal the world and walk on water. He is simply putting him in his rightful place. Obama has been incredibly callous and cruel (and petty) in trying to feel important by closing off parks and memorials. I was just reading an article where he even has seniors having to evacuate their homes because of the shutdown. That is the definition of a bully.. picking on someone weaker than yourself.

This letter gets the attention that it does, because Obama does pick at either hardworking Americans, Christians, Conservatives, or the unborn. He can dish it, but he cant take it. He can’t take being laughed at. Remember the recent episode with the rodeo clown. It’s the ridiculous nature of his priorities. He is now wanting to change the name of the Redksins football team. Doesn’t he have better things to do? National security would be a good start. He is useless like Walsh says and we really don’t need him the way he is doing things.

If this was a Republican president, he’d be ostracized. I’m not usually someone who likes to talk about Obama because frankly, he bores me. I come from a communist country and there is nothing exciting, productive, or new that he is offering. His ideas are stale, very yesterday and he’s stuck on mean. Mean to the good. If no one stand up for those who can’t talk, who will? Walsh is not the bully. He is speaking on behalf of those who can’t speak for themselves. Or who can but don’t have the venue to. That is courageous. That is what Americans want in a President.

      • Holly4025

Isabel, for someone bored with Obama, you’ve certainly spilt alot of ink on his behalf. Walsh offers nothing but a masturbatory rant. Speaking for those who can’t speak for themselves? How ’bout can’t THINK for themselves? Jsuave94 and Jeff, I appreciate your using the brain you were given.

      • Isabel Matos

        Lovely. Thanks for coming by!

  9. luciemac4025

Glad to be here, Isabel. Hope you’re having a nice day.

Would you like to comment on this NYTimes story, published Sunday? Seems Tea Peeps have been planning the shutdown for months with Ed Meece (Reagan’s former AG and the Kochs). They even provided themselves a little “toolbox” (link in story) full of juicy talking points when asked questions that might be difficult to answer.

Would love to get your reaction!

    • Isabel Matos

Hey, Lucie, thanks for coming by with a great comment.

New York times. First of all, they are seething with envy and hate Cruz for having been so effective. He has skillfully positioned the republicans, against their defeatist attitude to blame the shutdown on Reid and Obama.

      1. Who has spent more money and used more bribes than Obama to pass Obamacare? It has been reported that Sebelius has been using taxpayer money to send to states to convince them yo get on board(bribing). It all stinks to high heaven. The reasons why they are using the term “weak or vulnerable republicans” being targeted is because they may be the same Republicans he (Obama) wishes he could target, maybe the same ones Sebelius has been targeting herself. Who knows.

      2.  Ted Cruz has gone on record saying he was at every Senatorial meetings they had on Thursdays. He said this to Rush Limbaugh the day of his 21 hours non-filibister speech. He was answering to critics in the GOP who had said he did things without having a plan. Remember Rove on Chris Wllace? That was the complaint. Cruz defended himself by saying the not one Senator for six months offered any solutions. Nothing was in the works. Nothing was ever discussed so he went ahead and tried to fix it with Mike Lee. The GOP of course resents him for it. He has made them look bad, and has exposed their true intentions, which was to never defund or repeal Obamacare, but to use it possibly just for campaign purposes in 2016 instead. Thats one explanation. Nothing could be more absurd but that’s who we are dealing with. RINOS have nothing but lame strategies that lose elections for us, and not defunding it to defund it later is just one more example added to the long list of a failed thought process. It is a possibility.

      3. The fact is, that defunding the bill was the best and only way to get rid of Obamacare, so why were Republicans so dead set against it? I have my own theories that GOP elites who do not want it to pass are probably up to their ears in corruption and kickbacks. That is why they are tricky. They are lying to us, which is worse than the Democrats who at least admit what they are for, as erroneous as it may be. The New York Times makes up a phony rivalry beetween the two parties. It’s really not the case. The have had every opportunity given to them by our RINOS and now they resent the real winning politicians who stand die the people. The New York Times despises us.

That’s what I have so far. Will continue as the article is a but longer than I had expected. Don’t forget, everything the left accuses the right of doing, they are guilty of. It is an indication they are losing this battle, and no, the public does NOT want it like they said on page one. That’s a flat out lie. Don’t believe it. Americans overwhelmingly are against it. But for Cruz, freedom works and Mike Lee, no one would care to take this fight as far as they did. I hope the shutdown continues to make Obama’s administration look puny and cruel.

I hope you are having a nice day.

      • Holly4025

NYT seething why? FOX reported the same thing, as did Politico and every major newspaper in the country. Are they ALL seething? (happy to provide documentation….hope you’ll do the same to prove substance to your zingers)

“It has been reported that Sebelius has been using taxpayer money…..(bribing)” – a zinger that requires documentation. Where was it reported?

“their true intentions, which was to never defund or repeal Obamacare” – perhaps because experienced, rational Republicans know that Obamacare will never, ever be repealed while Obama is in the WH. What doesn’t make sense about that? And, rather than make them look bad, it makes them look GOOD. At least conservative Americans are getting a clearer picture of the weird divisions in your party for 2014. I personally doubt Tea Peeps will even exist a year from now……

“defunding the bill was the best and only way to get rid of Obamacare, so why were Republicans so dead set against it?” – because it could never, ever happen. Obama said it so many times my teeth were aching. I believed him. Why didn’t you? True, thinking patriotic conservatives knew better, and didn’t want to look as stupid as Cruz does.

“GOP elites who do not want it to pass are probably up to their ears in corruption and kickbacks. That is why they are tricky. ” Oh, brother. Requires documentation.

“The New York Times makes up a phony rivalry between the two parties. ” Say what?? Requires documentation. I can’t make sense of that at all.

“The New York Times despises us.” Requires documentation. Having worked for a big city newspaper, I can promise you that journalists take great pride in simply REPORTING THE NEWS. There may be a right or left “bent”, but the only “news” organization that purposely lies is FOX. That’s just a fact. (documentation on request) But, here’s a teaser:
        http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/erik-wemple/wp/2013/10/07/fox-friends-fails-on-obama-muslim-museum-connection-no-surprise-here/

Credible news organizations never, ever ever print a story they haven’t confirmed at least twice.

        “everything the left accuses the right of doing, they are guilty of.” Requires documentation. {{eyeroll}} {{facepalm}}

” Americans overwhelmingly are against it.” requires documentation. But here’s some for you. Seems you’re wrong.
        http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2013/09/30/five-reasons-americans-already-love-obamacare-plus-one-reason-why-theyre-gonna/ http://www.forbes.com/sites/theapothecary/2013/09/30/new-poll-only-one-third-of-americans-support-repealing-defunding-or-delaying-obamacare/

Now, what makes Obama look “puny and cruel” when his goal (since there are no elections on his horizon) is to insure 40-50 million more Americans? I don’t understand what you don’t get about the logic. More people insured = more competition = lower health care costs.
Oh…because he won’t cave in on the shutdown? Once the bill became law (2010), the deal was done. Oh, oops….we had to make SURE it was legit, so asked the Supremes. Who upheld the law….mandate and all. So, Obama was elected twice, running primarily on Obamacare, the law was passed, then validated.

Does it not seem “puny and cruel” to you that Tea Peeps can’t simply except that they lost, but will indeed risk default instead?? When we have a Tea Peep majority in three branches of government, you can do whatever you want. But, your guys have to get elected first. Meanwhile, Tea Peeps are committing suicide. They’re blamed for the shutdown and will be blamed if we go into default….then, a depression.

        http://www.cbsnews.com/8301-250_162-57605822/poll-americans-not-happy-about-shutdown-more-blame-gop/

        http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/the-fix/wp/2013/10/04/republicans-are-losing-the-shutdown-blame-game/

I’m happy to debate points with you anytime, Isabel, but unless you provide documentation for your zingers, I kinda have better things to do. It’s only fair for you to back up what you’re saying. Agreed?

Be sure to read the “suggested talking points” from the TPP tool kit. You’ll recognize them as what you’ve heard from Tea Peeps for months on FOX News and other outlets. Too bad the Koch brothers will never get their money’s worth………

      • Isabel Matos

You wanted my opinion like a chameleon hiding behind some nice language only to continue the headache that is this conversation. No, I don’t enjoy it. I read part of the NYT because I have actual things to do during the day. I also dont learn anything from the NYT so why bother reading the rest? That was pointless. I’m also not a troll on other people’s blogs like you might be, or a pest wanting to pick a fight with someone who is minding her business. I doubt strongly that you want an honest debate. And I do have the documentation to show Sebelius has sent states money via RINOS connected to theBushes. Its a scandal you havent heard about I guess. As big as Solyndra, but I don’t feel like sharing it with you. How do you like them apples? I don’t argue with disingenuous people. I’m not avoiding the argument, it’s just unpleasant to talk with someone who calls American patriots Tea Peeps. It is degrading and disrespectful, and I’m not running for office so I dont have to prove anything to you in any debate. It takes two to tango, you can pick another sucker to engage in a pointless exercise.

        Thanks.

Keep in mind that “credible sources” does not include right/left wing blogs, or proudly partisan sites like breitbart.com, FOX, MSNBC, Daily Kos, Daily Caller, WND…..etc.

You’re continuing in the Tea Peep tradition of ranting without substance, hiding when you’re cornered, throwing bombs you can’t defend. I would give almost anything to debate a conservative who can actually debate. We could both learn something. Because you’re obviously educated otherwise, I had hopes you’d be different and had educated yourself politically as well. I defended literally everything I posted. Why can’t you?

“I do have the documentation to show Sebelius……” If you had it, you’d proudly post it. “I’m not avoiding the argument” Yes. You are. Because you know you’re defenseless.

Sadly, it seems you’re stuck in ideology rather than love for your country like most of your fellow Tea Peeps. I truly hoped you’d be different. No wonder my beloved country is going to hell in a handbasket. Thanks for nuthin’.

Look, you don’t want to debate. You just want to get your points across without any genuine interest in learning anything. You must be respectful of the people you debate and the first thing you do is call American patriots Tea peeps. That right there is enough for me to say no thanks. You don’t have to taunt me to show you anything. I do this because I enjoy fighting for my country, not because someone forces or pays me to. It’s that simple. It’s Passion and patriotism. I’m a freedom fighter. You’re not. You see, I’ve seen communism before and it’s all the same crud with different names. So I don’t dwell on the petty back and forth. You have not lived in communism. It isn’t pretty. Ignorance isn’t pretty either. People defending communism without knowing they’re shooting themselves in their feet is disheartening.

Obama is a monumental problem for this country, and anyone who defends him is just not reasonable to me. There is no ideology in being Tea Party. Ther is no leader. There is no organized AstroTurf. It’s all a concoction in your mind. If you agree to that we can start a discussion, but you’re already closed minded and stuck in pre-conceived notions of things. To talk means to have a point of commonality. We don’t. What else can I say?

How DARE you come on this website and attack the Tea Party with nothing but hate, lies, and outright bullshit. How DARE you.

It’s liberals like YOU, Holly, who have destroyed this once great nation. You and el Presidente have done more damage in the last 5 years than all of America’s enemies in the last 236 years COMBINED.

Don’t come on here pretending to be all high and mighty, when in fact, you are the very model of an ignorant liberal who doesn’t have a single clue about how the real world works.

We have a longstanding policy of allowing open debate, even with those we strongly disagree. BUT, we don’t much care for hate spewing ideologues whose entire goal in life to to cause our great nation harm.

Take your tired act on down the road.

Lies? I’m able to document everything I post. Spewing, rather than posting your own facts only underscores your lack of interest in truth. Your and Isabel’s defensive little snits show that you know you’re wrong. Otherwise, you’d defend your position instead of just getting mad. If you don’t want to be challenged, why have an online blog at all?

      • Isabel Matos

Yawning, dear. Write some articles on your own blog and deal with your pain. You are losing. You are going to lose. Get a life. And that is my last word to you.

You can say “Buhbye!”, snuggle your Ted Cruz poster before you go to sleep, and wake up in the cozy embrace of willful ignorant Tea Peepness. What could be more rewarding? If you DO want a healthy, intelligent debate, Miz Isabel, come back with some credible sources. So far, you’ve produced not even one. Which pretty much says it all, huh? To expect me to agree with you simply because you said so is just plain nutty and very Tea Peepy.

    • Isabel Matos

I would love to but you’re just plain petty and sarcasm does not work. I will leave your comment for all to see where the actual nuttiness comes from. That is why I stay away from people like you. I will not stoop to your level. Good night!

  13. This mess started way before Barry came onto the scene. It is a very old ploy that has been written about across the ages. When are we going to listen?

Let’s start educating the masses as to what is really going on. Here’s just a drop in the bucket:

Start with going to your local law library and printing copies of the 1933 amendment to the Trading with the Enemy Act. Make thousands of copies and pass them out so everyone can see that all US citizens are Enemies of the State. Then procure the Oaths of Office for every public official in your county. Compare said oaths to the Oath of Office mandated by your state’s constitution. Make thousands of copies so everyone can see that most offices have been usurped by imposters who do not have valid Oaths of Office. Next, print out copies of Modern Money Mechanics by the Federal Rerserve Bank of Chicago to show the masses that their signature is the only valuable consideration for any so-called loan and that we are financing our own loans in this debt based fiat currency. Oh, while at the law library, look up the Corpus Juris Secundum (legal encyclopedia for attorneys) and check out volume 7, section 4 to show the masses that an attorney’s first duty is to the courts, not to the client.

Hmm, there is so much more, but that should be a good start. Here’s a summary:

All citizens are enemies of the State

Most public officials do not have Constitutional Oath’s of Office (in Oregon, the Circuit Court judges oaths are missing the words “and impartially”, so the courts have imposters who are biased, wow!)

Banks do not and cannot lend their own money, they create it out of thin air once they have your signature (This is also in the GAAP, Generally Accepted Accounting Principles). Ever notice that your signature is the only one on a loan application and or mortgage note? The Uniform Commercial Code makes it clear that a contract must be between two or more parties. Why is there only one signature on the instruments?

Attorneys work for the State. Judges work for the State, Law enforcement agencies work for the State. (also look up the agencies on Dunn and Bradstreet to see that they are private, for-profit corporations, not government agencies)

Ignorance of the law excuses no one (Maxim of Law). Our ignorance is why we are in this mess. Government is a reflection of the people. Do you like what you see in the mirror?

By the way, hearsay is not knowledge. Most of what we think we know is based on hearsay. Spend some time researching the above for yourself and get some actual first-hand knowledge…
