From Reagan to Rubio: The Wussification of the Republican Party

Kingsjester's Blog

Cartoon-Cruz-Vs-Establishment-600I started this Blog back in April of 2010 as a way of venting my frustration with what I saw happening in the greatest country on God’s Green Earth.

I could not believe what was going on around me. The American People had elected an incompetent, pompous, didactic, divisive, self-involved, Marxist idiot to the most important position in the world: the Presidency of the United States.

The Federal Government, under the leadership of Barack Hussein Obama, and his partners in crime, Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi and Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid, was headed down the road to full-blown socialism, faster than Rosie O’Donnell heading to Golden Corral.

Gradually, from seemingly out of nowhere, a movement began. It wasn’t a Liberal “Astroturf” movement…it was a groundswell, started by average Americans, who were fed up with being over-taxed and under-represented by the people whom they had elected and sent to…

Palin, McCain, and the Difference between Support and Agreement

by Whitney Pitcher

For Dick Cheney and His Ilk, John McCain's Brilliant Choice of Sarah Palin was Bad News!

Yesterday Governor Palin penned a post on her Facebook page expressing her support of Senator McCain in the face of censure by his own party in Arizona.  In many ways, it echoed the op-ed she wrote for the Arizona Central when she endorsed Senator McCain’s re-election nearly four years ago. Governor Palin’s support of Senator McCain shows far more of her character than of his merit. As Governor Palin wrote last night:

We live in a time of diminishing virtues because of societal influence towards total self-centeredness. This is unfortunate and makes raising families, conducting business, and governing that much more challenging. I know how important the virtue of loyalty is because in politics it’s pretty much nonexistent. I stand on that most important virtue and answer those asking today: “Yes, I am proud to have been asked to run with him in 2008, and he is my friend.”

If loyalty is essentially nonexistent in politics as Governor Palin notes, how would anyone know what it looks like? One needs to look no further than Governor Palin’s own character and action over the years. Governor Palin has stood by Senator McCain’s side since 2008, in spite of his often tepid support for her and his nonexistent defense of her when she was more or less accused of murdering his Arizona constituents in Tucson three years ago. Governor Palin’s loyalty has been noted by many. For example, Governor Nikki Haley noted in her book about Governor Palin’s continued support in the midst of allegations during Haley’s gubernatorial campaign that she had an affair:

When allegations from Folks first surfaced, Haley remembers having Palin in her corner after just one phone call – a contrast to the way another supporter, Romney, had handled the news.

“Sarah goes with her gut, and I love her for that,” she writes. “Mitt’s team [said] they were going to have a ‘Nikki Haley meeting’ the next morning to decide what to do next.”

Governor Palin again stood with Haley in May of 2012 when a South Carolina union leader beat a pinata with a picture of Governor Haley’s face on it. This came even after Haley’s silence when Governor Palin and the Tea Party was blamed for the Tucson shooting. Suffice it to say, Governor Palin’s loyalty is because of who she is (her character), not because of who the others are.

Support differs from complete agreement, however. Governor Palin has expressed disagreement with McCain either implicitly or explicitly multiple times. As she noted in her Facebook post,  Governor Palin parts ways with Senator McCain on ANWR and immigration. She has parted ways with him implicitly too. Her “Let Allah sort it out” approach to Syria is 180 degrees different than Senator McCain’s neocon approach to Syria. In her vintage speech to a Tea Party rally in Iowa in September 2011, Governor Palin mocked Senator McCain, although not in name, for his reference to Tea Partiers as hobbits.

To be sure, Governor Palin has her share of disagreements with Senator McCain, just as some supporters may disagree with her for supporting Senator McCain in this manner. That is the beauty of independence of thought–difference of opinion does negate support. As Governor Palin’s brother Chuck Heath Jr. noted on his Facebook page today:

If I turned my back on every friend and family member who didn’t agree with me 100% of the time, I’d have no friends or family members.

It can’t be said much better than that. We don’t have to always agree, but we all can learn a lesson in loyalty from the one political figure who personifies it.

Meet the “Kronies”–Brilliance in Highlighting “Crapitalism”

by Whitney Pitcher

big g

I don’t know exactly how to characterize this, but there is a new campaign to highlight crony capitalism (or the portmanteau that I like to use–crapitalism) . This campaign–The Kronies– uses youtube clips and specially designed 80s style action figures.

Here’s the introductory video:

It hearkens me back to my childhood, but there’s no particular protagonist action figure like Heman or She-rah. Instead there are guys like “Big G”:

Whatever this campaign is, they are taking aim at both political parties, which is a good thing. I’m sure the likes of Governor Palin, Peter Schewizer and Michelle Malkin, who have focused their careers around fighting cronyism, approve.

Bristol Palin Rips Wendy Davis to Shreds: You Can Have a Job AND Kids

bristol-palin-tripp-palin-lifes-a-tripp-lifetime

Plus, it perfectly shows that – no matter what they say – feminism is a farce. If you truly believe in strong, independent women, you’d be a conservative.

~ Bristol Palin

By Gary P Jackson

Texas gubernatorial candidate Wendy Davis has been in the national news for a few days after her real life story was found to be quite different than the fairy tale she had cooked up. She and her rabid supporters have blamed Attorney General Greg Abbott [our next Governor] and his people, but the problem with that is Wayne Slater, the senior political writer for the Dallas Morning News is a hard core liberal, who wrote many a hit piece on George W Bush, and has said he’s had absolutely no contact with the Abbott campaign.

To be honest, I haven’t written a word about Davis, because she has a better chance of being made Pope than ever winning elected office in Texas again! You see, we haven’t elected a democrat to statewide office since 1994, and he was the last somewhat reasonable democrat left in the state! The reason Texas has become such an economic powerhouse, is because we don’t allow democrats in power. Now we have our share of liberal Republicans, and like anywhere else, we have to watch our politicians like a hawk watches chickens, but overall, Texas is governed by Conservative principles, and it works. Like America herself, Texas was created through bloody revolution and hard won Freedom. We aren’t about to allow the fascist democrat party to gain any real power here!

Wendy Davis is a radical gun grabbing, abortionist who represents everything Texans detest.

To give you an idea what a fools errand Davis’ campaign is, way back in October, Texas Monthly Magazine a rag known for two things, it’s guide to Texas BBQ, and is FAR LEFT politics, ran a massive cover story on Greg Abbott, seated in his wheelchair, holding a shot gun, with the caption: “The Gov“!

Texas-Monthly Greg Abbott

Inside is a mostly glowing account of Abbott’s life and career, which had to pain them to publish, as well as another article that basically says IF Davis only loses by 20 points it means that somehow, magically, Texas will turn “blue” someday …. maybe.

One of the revelations about Wendy Davis’ actual life, as opposed to the fictional one she created for her campaign, is that far from being a struggling mother living in a trailer, raising a family own her own, she in fact, hooked up with an older sugar daddy, who paid her way through Harvard, after cashing out his 401K! The day after her sugar daddy made the last payment to Harvard, she left, leaving him to raise their child. Oh, and Davis’ adult child, from another marriage, also chose to live with sugar daddy, rather than Wendy!

Anyhow, after seeing Davis and her supporters attack Abbott, for being a paraplegic, among other things, Bristol Palin has a message for the “Hero of the Left“:

Dear Wendy Davis, You Can Have a Job and Kids

If you aren’t paying attention to Texas politics right now, join the crowd. But the Democrat running for governor is just so awful you have to pay attention. Wendy Davis rose to the top of everyone’s minds because her story was so compelling.

This CNN headline summed it up:

CNN: Wendy Davis: From Teen Mom to Harvard Law to Famous Filibuster

Turns out, she lied about much of her “pulling herself up by her own bootstraps” story. Actually, she found a man to marry her, pay her way through college, and then through Harvard Law School. The day after he paid the last bill, she left him. By the way, she left her kids too. She said, “it’s not a good time for me right now” to be the custodial parent.

Is everyone paying attention? This woman is the hero of the Left? A woman whose ambition and ego were so big she couldn’t have both a career and kids at the same time.

Gosh, children are sooo inconvenient, huh? I’m glad my mother didn’t put motherhood on the shelf when she was elected to City Council, then became our mayor, then Governor. Oh sorry – I mentioned my mother… Have you liberals gone into a tail spin of hate already? Did I lose you?

I know you would rather think about Wendy Davis, so let’s get back to her. She’s more your type of woman. She left her kid, husband, made it into a false “made-for-tv-movie-type-tale” and then demanded that Texans have the right to kill babies. That’s the woman you libs can really get behind!

Let me be clear. I think it’d be so nice to have a husband take care of me, and my son, so I could attend school. (Any school — let alone, Harvard!)

But the way Wendy Davis did it – by getting married and leaving him as soon as the ink dried on his last check – is downright pathetic.

Plus, it perfectly shows that – no matter what they say – feminism is a farce. If you truly believe in strong, independent women, you’d be a conservative.

I have nothing to add, no way I could improve on what Bristol has said, other than to say there is more than one “Mama Grizzly up in Alaska! God bless this kid, she is from good stock!

Governor Sarah Palin’s First Endorsement of 2014: Senator Tim Scott of South Carolina

Senator Tim Scott

By Gary P Jackson

When Tim Scott ran for Congress, Governor Sarah Palin was one of the first to step up and endorse his candidacy. When Jim DeMint retired from the Senate to head the Heritage Foundation, Governor Palin called South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley to personally ask her to appoint Scott to the U.S. Senate to fill the remainder of DeMint’s term, which Governor Haley did.

So it should come as no surprise that Governor Palin is endorsing Senator Scott’s re-election. The timing is spot on, as the racist democrat party NAACP has been attacking Senator Scott, a Conservative leader and TEA Party favorite.

As you know, democrats don’t like it when women and minorities think for themselves. In fact they HATE it, and attack any woman or minority who dares to have a mind of their own, and stray off the democrat party plantation.

We’ve seen black Conservatives called “Uncle Toms,” “Aunt Jemimahs,” “Sell Outs,” and the ever popular [among democrats] “House Niggers” by leaders in the democrat party. Conservative blacks and women are also often described as “self hating” by racist, intolerant democrats.

Now the state NAACP leader who is attacking Senator Scott is calling him a “ventriloquist’s dummy” because he dares to think for himself, and embrace Liberty and Freedom in lieu of being just another oppressed democrat.

Senator Scott has a well known and impressive resume. He’s a real success story that any American would be proud to emulate.

Governor Palin recounts Senator Scott’s bio in her endorsement:

NAACP Leader Shows True Colors

The NAACP’s attacks on Senator Tim Scott illustrate the anger and increased intolerance of the political left. Having falsely staked the claim of “embracing diversity” we see another example of the left’s “tolerant hug” excluding those who do not subscribe to their liberal agenda. It’s not personal. It’s not racist. It’s not mean spirited. It’s COMMON SENSE to NOT subscribe to their failed liberal policies that lead to dependence on an unstable and bankrupt government.

But here’s another example of how the supposedly tolerant left treats an African American conservative who doesn’t subscribe to their failed liberal agenda:

http://www.nationalreview.com/corner/369065/state-naacp-chief-tim-scott-ventriloquists-dummy-andrew-johnson

Tim Scott was raised by a single mother, started working at age 13, faced challenges through school, and then met a mentor – a local Chick-fil-A operator – who taught him how to “think your way out of poverty.” With that, and strong work ethic, Tim’s commonsense conservative roots took hold. Tim became a successful small businessman, Congressman and U.S. Senator. He is an honorable man who judges people by the content of their character, not the color of their skin, and seeks the same for himself.

With too many purposefully dividing America on the basis of race and gender, it’s imperative that we who strive for a truly United States, under God, take a stand! Don’t be afraid to call out hypocritical double standards applied to independent Americans who are continually falsely accused of discrimination and intolerance. Playing small and timid in this era of potentially great progress towards American solidarity helps no one.

Take a stand! Help leaders like Tim Scott get re-elected in 2014. We need more strong leaders who, like Tim, are conservative because they’ve learned from life experiences, not poll driven messaging, what works for our great country.

Support Tim Scott today: http://votetimscott.com/

Obamacare: Meet the New Contractor, Same as the Old Contractor

by Whitney Pitcher

The Obama administration will not renew the contract of CGI Group Inc, the Michelle Obama tied company that oversaw the failed website.

Per Chicago Business:

CGI Group Inc., the company that built the federal Obamacare website, will be replaced next month when its contract with the U.S. government expires, a person familiar with the decision said.

The Obama administration intends to sign a contract with Accenture Plc to complete unfinished work on HealthCare.gov and run the site, said the person, who asked not to be identified because the decision isn’t public. Montreal-based CGI fell as much as 3.8 percent in New York trading.

Things can only get better, right? Well, perhaps not. The Chicago Business article continues:

The Oct. 1 debut of the insurance exchange serving 36 of the 50 U.S. states was plagued by delays, error messages and hang-ups that prevented people from completing applications. Accenture, the second-largest technology-consulting company, led construction of California’s better-performing state system.

Through November the California exchanged netted more Obamacare enrollees than the federal exchange, but such numbers are more of a testament to the failure of the federal exchange than the success of the California exchange. The Accenture built California exchange is not without its problems.

The Washington Examiner reported last month that seven in ten California doctors wanted to boycott the exchange. The California exchange website–Covered California– is listing doctors who are not part of the exchange. Also, Covered California was found to be giving out health care consumer information without consent. Per the Daily Caller:

Widespread fears that Affordable Care Act exchanges would fail to guard customer information are already coming true in California, where the state exchange is giving selected insurance agents customer contact information, resulting in unwanted calls and emails to Californians who have checked out the exchange but declined to buy insurance.

The Los Angeles Times’ Chad Terhune reports that Covered California, which Obamacare proponents have held up as a rare example of a functioning state health care exchange, provides names, addresses, phone numbers and email addresses of customers who did not ask to be contacted.

Furthermore, just last week Covered California extend their premium payment deadline per Tony Lee at Breitbart News:

“Covered California” announced the news as news outlets across California started reporting on residents who were unsure if they actually successfully enrolled in Obamacare or still had trouble finishing their applications because of website malfunctions. Many residents reported being “stuck” in the middle of the application process and not being able to get answers about whether their information had been successfully transmitted to insurance companies.

While the Obama administration may tout this contractor change as a means to improve their failing exchange, it is really just more of the same failure.

Governor Palin’s Message: Self-Reliance, Not Selfies

by Whitney Pitcher

In a press conference this morning to promote her upcoming show on the Sportsman Channel, Governor Palin took the opportunity to share her refreshing message of true female empowerment. As EOnline reports:

When E! News asked what Palin would like Amazing America to teach the young girls who tune in, Palin was quick to respond saying, “That they need to be, and can be, and have to power to be self-reliant. They can be independent and they too have equal opportunity to get out there and enjoy all that has been given to us here in America.”

While Governor Palin’s intention is, for the most part, to eschew politics, the show’s cultural message will be 180 degree different than the liberal message of female empowerment through governmental reliance.  Instead the show will be a modern day, American culturally-based equivalent to Alexis de Tocqueville’s Democracy in America. Governor Palin will highlight the true promise zones of America–her people and their achievements. As USA Today reports:

Palin, wearing black except for flag-patterned high-heeled shoes, says it’s “not going to be some kind of fake scripted reality show” but will “showcase people, places and things in order to restore, fundamentally, what makes America great,” including her own family. Red-state Americans live an organic lifestyle that’s not limited to urban “granola” fans. “Their dinner just happens to be wrapped in fur rather than cellophane. So be it that we go out and shoot our dinner first.”

As for Governor Palin’s additional message to young women, she also noted:

“I think this world would be better off having more young women holding a fish in a picture than holding their camera in front of a bathroom mirror, talking a selfie.” The 2008 Vice Presidential candidate announced to a room full of reporters at the Television Critics Association Friday morning.

I tend to agree. Choose snapper over Snapchat and crappie over cropping.

Sarah Palin Responds to Roger Ailes Quote Explaining Why Fox News Hired Her AND Why She Accepted

Steve Doocy Sarah Palin Elizabeth Hasselback

By Gary P Jackson

The left is all excited about the prospect of juicy bits coming from the new book about Fox News’ chief Roger Ailes, including one about why he hired Sarah Palin:

Governor Palin posted this to Facebook:

Fox’s Roger Ailes says he hired me “to piss off the people that wanted her dead.” Hmmm. Funny. I accepted for the same reason!
http://www.hollywoodreporter.com/news/roger-ailes-fights-back-cnn-668765?page=2

She added this just to rub liberals’ noses in it:

With another book coming out about Roger Ailes and Fox News, stay tuned to find out what I really think about all this. In the meantime…
http://www.breitbart.com/Big-Journalism/2014/01/08/roger-ailes-fox-has-won-the-cable-news-wars

That link takes us to John Nolte’s article on Fox News’ total dominance of cable news:

Roger Ailes, the CEO and Chairman of Fox News, has declared victory over his left-wing competitors, CNN and MSNBC. In a lengthy interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Ailes points out correctly that MSNBC and CNN have given up on and are moving away from the news business: “That means Fox has won the cable news wars.

Indeed it does.

MSNBC has [already] announced they’re out of the news business,” Ailes added. “They have several different hosts, but it’s always the same show: Republicans are no good.” Ailes pointed out that CNN is moving out of the news business and mocked CNN chief Jeff Zucker over the network’s bizarre obsession with the documentary Blackfish: “[Zucker] had a big hit with a whale one night [the documentary Blackfish]. I guess he’s going to do whales a lot.

Just this morning, CNN aired a full package on a few protesters motivated by Blackfish to give Southwest Airlines a hard time. You could compare CNN to a train wreck, but people actually watch those.

Fox News not only dominates in the ratings (frequently beating CNN and MSNBC combined in total viewers), but both CNN and MSNBC suffered horrible years in the department of credibility. Among other things, CNN was caught red-handed flaking for gun control and fabricating evidence to frame George Zimmerman as racist. Due to its own embarrassing scandals, MSNBC lost two of its anchors, Martin Bashir and Alec Baldwin; and to close out an already awful year, anchor Melissa Harris-Perry led an on-air segment ridiculing Mitt Romney’s infant grandson.

The biggest news Fox News made about itself, though, was juggling an already successful primetime line-up into something even more successful. Moving rising cable superstar Megyn Kelly to 9pm has not only boosted the network’s ratings by 20% in the coveted 25-54 demo but this happened without bumping a single anchor or host.

Fox News has not only won the cable news wars but scared its competitors into becoming something else entirely. MSNBC is now National Public Radio with pictures and a mean streak while CNN is, well, a slow-motion disaster.

Another loser in this cable news war is the Soros-backed, tax-exempt, left-wing Media Matters, who surrendered in their own Ahab-esque battle against Fox News by declaring victory.

More here.

Palin: Get a clue, brass. Quickly.

FB14_0106

Earlier today Gov. Palin shared the above photo and this message on her Facebook page.  A Blue Star mom and an avid supporter of our military, Palin once again calls out this administration for their treatment of our nation’s finest.

Look, U.S. Military top brass, some of us are known for supporting our troops 110%, even encouraging our own kids in their voluntary, sacrificial enlistments. We send them off with blessings as you send them off to war. You keep pulling stunts like this, and how long do you think our military enthusiasm keeps up? Get a clue, brass. Quickly. You keep up these new double standards and this recent discrimination against Christians, and the greatest military power on earth will soon be “fundamentally transformed” into a weakened, involuntary and unrecognizable mere bureaucratic entity. Obviously you need a new commander-in-chief who sincerely believes in freedom and respects the fact we need to keep our finest keeping us free, but until that time, exert some brass cojones and re-embrace American military ethos.

See the article here:
