Corruption Alert: Obama Regime Funnels $445 Mil From U.S. Treasury to Disgraced Former ACORN Director

By Gary P Jackson

Where is Congress and why isn’t there some oversight going on here. We could easily balance the budget, and have a surplus, if corrupt politicians would be held criminally responsible for things like this. Why in the world is the federal government paying mortgages for the “unemployed or substantially underemployed” in the first place? Don’t politicians understand they are just putting off the inevitable, and subsidizing failure?

From Judicial Watch [emphasis mine]

The Obama Administration has given a former director at the scandal-plagued Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) nearly half a billion dollars to offer “struggling” Illinois homeowners mortgage assistance, a Judicial Watch investigation has found.

It means the ACORN official (Joe McGavin) will go from operating a corrupt leftist community group that’s banned by Congress from receiving federal funding to controlling over $445 million in U.S. taxpayer funds. The money is part of a $7.6 billion Treasury Department program to help the “unemployed or substantially underemployed” make their mortgage payments.

In this case, JW found that a subcomponent of the state-run Illinois Housing Development Authority, known as the Illinois Hardest Hit Program, received a generous $445,603,557 Treasury infusion. The Obama Administration established Hardest Hit in 2010 to provide targeted aid to families in states hit hardest by the economic and housing market downturn, according to its website.

In early 2011 McGavin was appointed as director of Hardest Hit. Before that he was director of counseling for ACORN Housing in Chicago and operations manager for a Chicago ACORN offshoot called Affordable Housing Centers of America (AHCOA). His strong ties to ACORN make him a suspect candidate to handle such a huge amount of taxpayer dollars.

The Obama-tied community organization supposedly shut down after a series of exposés about its illegal activities, including fraudulent voter registration drives and involvement in the housing market meltdown. Read all about it in Judicial Watch’s special report, “The Rebranding of ACORN.” The legal scandals led Congress to pass a 2009 law banning federal funding for ACORN, which for years enjoyed a huge flow of taxpayer dollars to promote its various leftwing causes.

The Obama Administration has violated the congressional ACORN funding ban, however. Last summer Judicial Watch uncovered records that show ACORN got tens of thousands of dollars in grants to “combat housing and lending discrimination. The money came via Housing and Urban Development (HUD), which awarded a $79,819 grant to AHCOA.

In addition to violating the ACORN funding ban, the grant was astounding because federal investigators had previously exposed fraud by the same Florida-based ACORN/AHCOA affiliate. HUD’s inspector general found that the group “inappropriately” spent more than $3.2 million in grants that were supposed to be used to eliminate lead poisoning in its housing program.

It’s a well know fact that President Barack Obama is a product of ACORN and has very strong ties as a former employee. It was Obama’s job at ACORN to train the rent-a-thugs the finer points of “community organizing

There is no doubt the regime has continued to fund ACORN, despite a congressional ban on the practice.

I ask myself this almost daily, as I look at the latest Fast and Furious news, and other massive corruption surrounding Obama: At what point do we just go ahead and indict, convict, and throw this character in jail?

If everything surrounding the Fast and Furious gunrunning scandal is true, aren’t both Obama, and Attorney General Eric Holder guilty of facilitating not only mass murder in Mexico, but capital murder here at home? If we can’t get Obama for murder, can we at least take something out of Elliot Ness’ playbook and get Obama for this ACORN mess?

Looking at Joe McGavin’s employment history, he’s been involved in real estate ventures for some time, including a stint at GMAC Home Services, which is currently in Chapter 11 bankruptcy.

If the current Congress won’t get serious about ending corruption, there’s an election in November, and we can replace this bunch with a group of folks who will!

Enough, is enough.

After Gingrich, Perry Fail to Qualify for Virginia Ballot a Whole Lot of Republicans Sounding like ACORN Thugs

By Gary P Jackson

I always thought Conservatives were the cats who advocate taking personal responsibility for their actions. Evidently this doesn’t apply when their candidate of choice fails miserably.

Since Newt Gingrich failed to make the Virginia ballot, even with FIVE MONTHS to get it done, Newt has been crying like a baby, talking about a “broken system” and his supporters have cooked up more conspiracy theories than your average Alex Jones follower.

In my [dare I say] brilliant analysis of the Virginia debacle, I pointed out, the only people to blame for Newt Gingrich and Rick Perry not being on the Virginia ballot is Newt Gingrich and Rick Perry. They played under the same rules as everyone else.

If you can’t get 10,000 LEGITIMATE signatures on a petition is FIVE FREAKIN’ MONTHS then you might not be the best choice for president. It doesn’t take a whole lot of organizational skills to pull this off.

For Newt, this is particularly telling, since not only is he a resident of the Commonwealth of Virginia, he’s the supposed front runner. If he can’t get it done in his home state, where he leads the polls, then he has problems.

Now to be sure, there are Perry supporters raising hell too, and of course, many blame The Great Satan™ himself, Mitt Romney, for the entire mess, because …. you know …. he followed the rules.

The reason I’m not going after Perry though, is he isn’t out there trash talking and whining like Newt. All that has come out of the Perry campaign is they will appeal the decision, basically asking for the signatures be checked again. This is a reasonable response, for an grown man.

Perry is acting like an adult. His campaign acknowledges they didn’t qualify, and understands, in the grand scheme of things, Virginia has just a taste over 2% of the delegates needed to secure the Republican nomination. In other words, it’s not a big deal that neither Perry nor Gingrich won’t be on the ballot.

With that said, imagine my horror when I saw the headline at Big Government that shouts VA GOP Ballot Access Rules Changed Last Month.

What’s the problem?

It seems the rule change came after a [still pending] lawsuit by an independent candidate for Virginia’s legislature alleged the Virginia Republican Party wasn’t even checking the petitions to see if the signatures were valid!

First off, why is a political party being allowed to certify petitions are legitimate in the first place? Shouldn’t that be the job of the election officials?

That’s like allowing a NASCAR team to certify their own car is legal! Because, you know, no one in NASCAR ever cheats. Never, ever. No sir, not them boys.

Look up “Smokey Yunick” for fun and highly entertaining stories about how no one in NASCAR ever cheats! Ever.

Why are people now up in arms over Newt’s incompetence?

You see, after the lawsuit was filed, in one of the most evil acts of oppression even known to mankind …. EVER …. the GOP is now actually checking to make sure the signatures on the petitions are legit.

My God! This is like the Spanish Inquisition all over again!

I really wonder if the people bitching about the Virginia law, and the fact Newt [and Perry] aren’t on the ballot because THE CANDIDATES failed to qualify, realize how much like they sound like democrats who whine incessantly when they don’t get their way?

Seriously, it’s like they’ve all become ACORN thugs! It doesn’t help that Newt, instead of acting like a man, and taking responsibility for not qualifying, is out there stirring things up. Newt is acting like his failing to meet some very simple requirements, despite having months to get it done, is some sort of injustice to humanity, rather than just a disorganized, undisciplined campaign.

The thing that really gets me is the very same people losing their minds over this, are the ones who constantly bitch about the democrats and how their buddies at ACORN dummy up petitions and voter registration forms. How ACORN [often illegally] pays it’s workers for every name collected, which results in Mickey Mouse and the starting line-up for the St Louis Cardinals ending up on the forms!

Now let me clarify, no one is alleging Newt or Perry engaged in anything even remotely like that. The only thing we know for certain is a significant number of the names on the ballot couldn’t be verified. Enough to put them under the required amount.

From what I understand many of the names collected didn’t include the most basic information like address, or phone number, so they could be verified.

That’s not a conspiracy, it’s just sloppy work.

As I look around and see all of this bellyaching, I am ashamed of my fellow man. Certifying the integrity of an election should be considered a good thing, no matter who it effects. You can’t just pick and choose what sort of rules you want to see followed, based on the fact those rules adversely effect someone you support.

It’s like saying it’s against the law to murder someone, unless it’s someone many people would like to see murdered!

Many people would like to see Newt and Perry on the ballot, but they didn’t follow the rules. Tough, better luck next time.

The Big Government article is built on the outrage the rules were changed last month.

And?

Are we to think candidates that knew Virginia law REQUIRES a candidate to have a minimum of 10,000 signatures including 400 from each of the 11 voting districts, were expecting those signatures wouldn’t be checked by someone? Especially after not only Virginia election officials AND the Virginia Republican Party had been telling candidates for weeks they should try to get 15,000 signatures, including 600 from each district?

Why do you think that higher recommendation was given?

Wouldn’t that sort of recommendation imply the signatures would be checked, and the possibility of some signatures being disallowed a real consideration?

We’re not dealing with children here. We’re dealing with people who are [allegedly] adults, and candidates for President of these United States! Just because the Virginia GOP had allowed petitions to slide through unchecked in the past, doesn’t mean that was right, or that it’s now evil they are checking them now.

Again, I always thought Conservatism stood for something.

Voter fraud is a real issue in America and anything that makes that less likely is a good thing. Again, I’m not saying Perry or Newt did anything fraudulent. They simply failed to qualify for the ballot. They had the exact same opportunity to qualify as those who did. If they want to blame someone, look in the mirror, and at campaign staff. Not the law.

Rules change, and it’s up to those involved to not only keep up with them, but follow them.

Again, I find it disgusting that Republicans, who raise holy, righteous, hell when the democrats don’t follow election law, are acting just like them!

If there is one thing we’ve learned from this deal, other than Newt and Rick Perry are running sloppy campaigns, is Rick Perry is an adult, and Newt, definitely is not. Perry is acting like a man and taking responsibility. Newt is blaming a “failed system” instead.

All I can say is shame on those who are complaining about the “horror” of officials actually checking the petitions submitted by the candidates to make sure they meet the requirements of Virginia law.

There’s no crying in politics!

We Are ACORN Mighty, Mighty ACORN: Rick Perry Edition

By Gary P Jackson

They say a picture is worth a thousand words.

Notice the lovely woman in the Houston ACORN shirt standing with a smiling Rick Perry.

Someone might want to talk with Houston’s King Street Patriots and their fight against Mighty ACORN in Houston with their True the Vote program.

In other ACORN news: A Nevada Judge fines ACORN but wanted prison for ACORN’s leaders.

Read BREAKING: ‘Banana Republic’ ACORN Hit with Maximum Fine in Voter Fraud Scheme over at Big Government for the entire run down.

As you know President Barack Obama used to work for ACORN. His job was training the rent-a-thugs the finer points of communist Saul Alinsky’s manifesto Rules for Radicals

Over the last few days a lot of people have been hammering Rick Perry because he was once a democrat [at a time most Texas politicians were] and was Al Gore’s Texas campaign chairman in 1988. That’s kind of silly.

The great Ronald Reagan was also a democrat before, as he said, the party left him. He was also a big supporter of Franklin Roosevelt, the president who did more to support Marxism in America than any other before Obama.

This is a dumb thing to hit Perry on.

The relationships people need to question Perry about are his ties to groups like ACORN, as well as open borders, race-baiting groups like LULAC and La Raza [literally, The Race] that advocate illegal immigration and support the Reconquista of the Southwestern United States.

We’ll have more on Perry’s ties to these groups and his sorry record on illegal immigration to come.

Rick Perry upon signing Texas’ supported DREAM ACT, granting in state tuition to illegal aliens:

Educacion es el futuro, y si se puede.”

Translation: “Education is the future” and throwing in Cesar Chavez’s slogan: [and Obama’s] “Yes we can!” for good measure.

All The President’s Astroturfers: The Curious Case of Ellie Light

The following is part one of what will be a series of columns written on this growing scandal in the days to come.

Growing up in Texas, when I think of Astroturf I think of the Houston Astrodome, the former home of the Houston Astros baseball team. At the time it was built, that incredible enclosed stadium was state of the art and considered a real engineering wonder, a modern marvel, if you will.

One of the engineering feats, as this was an indoor stadium, and hence not very conducive to growing grass, which is pretty essential to play, was the development of an artificial turf.

Astroturf was designed to simulate real grass in both look and feel. Soon baseball and football fields all over the country were installing this stuff, and causing much controversy that continues to this day.

During the 2008 presidential election cycle, I noticed a phenomena online. Now being a political observer and activist, I read a lot, especially online. The internet is really an awesome tool if one wants to consume a lot of news, from a lot of sources, in a relatively short time. It’s truly revolutionized our world.

One thing that has really changed in news and reporting is that most venues allow people to comment, in real time, on each and every story. Oft times, these comments sections turn into a really heated forum where ideas, and even insults, are traded blow for blow. It makes for some very interesting interaction.

As a reader, I tend to glance over the comments, and just like everyone else, I may leave a comment about the story, give another commenter an attaboy, or correct a commenter who has stated something that was, shall we say, less than factual. Many other readers do the same thing.

In 2008 though, I noticed something was up. Too many commenters were saying the same thing verbatim, as if they were using some sort of script, a list of talking points. The ones I saw the most, pertaining to the Republican candidates, took one of two positions: Either the commenter was a “lifelong Republican” who was going to vote for Barack Obama because John McCain was “just too conservative” or the “lifelong Republican” was “going to vote for McCain until he picked ‘that woman.’ [Sarah Palin]

Now neither one of these arguments made sense, especially coming from Republicans. Let’s face it, no one ever accused John McCain of being “too conservative,” ever.

As for Sarah Palin, the reaction to her among Republicans is well documented. She energized the base of the party like no one in recent history, and continues to, to this day. At the time of the announcement of her vice presidential candidacy, the positive buzz on her was so strong that she not only overshadowed John McCain, but Joe Biden and Barack Obama as well, again something that continues to this day.

So what was going on?

Astroturfing!

Rather than being an organic situation, a circumstance where Americans were all feeling a certain way and expressing it, all at the same time, like we are seeing now with the modern day Tea Party movement, and the actions of the voters in Massachusetts, what I was witnessing back in 2008 was a coordinated effort that consisted of paid and unpaid volunteers, who were trained and given up to the minute talking points to spread all across the fruited plain

Now organizing folks is nothing new. And frankly, nothing illegal, or immoral. It’s in fact, a good thing, if what is being done…and said… is true, but it often creates a false reality. The casual, or uninformed reader will see the scripted comments, thinking they are legit, and coming from someone “just like them” and often be swayed in their opinion on any given subject.

Let’s face it, while most of the country, no matter their ideology, has some pretty rock solid sets of beliefs and convictions, there is a significant number that sort of blow with the wind, so to speak. These people are generally not engaged in the issues, and have little knowledge of even the most basic of facts.

Now this is not to belittle these folks in any way. No one can be an expert, or even fairly knowledgeable, about everything. For example, I’m a car guy. I like sports and other events that have something to do with cars. If someone wants to talk about that, I can talk their ears off. However, ask me about football, or some other deal, and other than knowing that there is, indeed, such a sport, I don’t know much about the comings and goings, and generally will defer to someone else and their opinion. I’m simply not interested enough to care.

This happens a lot in politics, unfortunately. Many just aren’t interested enough to care, which, as we are seeing now, can have tragic ramifications.

Politics, like religion, is one of those things that many just don’t talk about, even if they have opinions, as both can cause heated arguments. This of course is a shame, because we should all be engaged fully in both subjects. Both are important, to say the least.

Anyhow, from time to time, people get together in a coordinated effort in support of something, or against something. This coordinated effort to post comments, write letters to the editors, and try and get oneself interviewed on TV is to sway opinion, pure and simple.

Advertisers and activists alike have used these techniques since well, the beginning of advertising and activism. This sort of thing, in and of itself, isn’t necessarily bad or wrong. In fact, when in the service of a noble cause, it is a very good thing.

Many times situations will occur and activists will organically come together for a cause they are committed to. They may organize to write letters to Congress, or even a company if something is going on that needs addressing. It’s something Americans do all of the time. But it’s real, it’s based on a true desire to effect a change, or right a wrong.

Then you have astroturfing. Astroturfing is just what is sounds like: Fake. Astroturfers are mostly paid mercenaries. They may or may not actually care about a given cause or situation, but they are brought together by a group, or political party, given a set of talking points, and pretend to be “just another concerned citizen.”

Again, the intent is to sway opinion, to create a false reality, a false buzz.

Now I know what some say. Some will say that groups like the Tea Party folks are writing letters, coordinating efforts, organizing rallies, marches, and so on. Aren’t they astroturf too?

Well no, they are not. No one had to stick out a “help wanted sign” and offer up a salary to get these patriots to stand up and speak out, to fight for their cause. In fact, many are spending their own hard earned money to get things done.

Of course, Nancy Pelosi, the most corrupt Speaker of the House, in the most corrupt Congress in American history, spent all summer trying to convince everyone that the Tea Party people and those who were attending the town halls this summer, enraged over ObamaCare, were nothing more than paid mercenaries for the insurance companies.

Uh, Nancy…project much?

Ironically, this ad was recently placed in many issues of the popular online classified ad website, Craig’s List, recruiting activists to counter the Tea Party folks:

Funny isn’t it. The progressives have to pay people to do what Conservatives, Tea Party activists do for free, or better yet, shell out their own hard earned money to do.

One has to ask: Just how pathetic and unpopular is one’s cause when you have to offer up money to get people to come fight for you? You run this same ad, but take out the pay and change the agenda to the Conservative agenda, the Tea party agenda, and you’d have to beat volunteers off with a stick!

This ad comes out of Chicago, big surprise, but is placed on many of Craig’s List ‘s local websites. Now let’s think a minute…who comes out of Chicago…hmmmm?

I know you think I’m going to say Barack Obama, but not this time. This time it’s about one of his henchmen, David Axelrod. Axelrod didn’t invent astroturfing, but he certainly perfected it.

In March of 2008 Business Week Magazine had this to say about Axelrod and his expertise in astroturfing:

The Secret Side of David Axelrod

The Obama campaign’s chief strategist is a master of “Astroturfing” and has a second firm that shapes public opinion for corporations

By Howard Wolinsky

David Axelrod has long been known for his political magic. Through his AKP&D Message & Media consultancy, the campaign veteran has advised a succession of Democratic candidates since 1985, and he’s now chief strategist for Senator Barack Obama’s bid for President. But on the down low, Axelrod moonlights in the private sector.

From the same address in Chicago’s River North neighborhood, Axelrod operates a second business, ASK Public Strategies, that discreetly plots strategy and advertising campaigns for corporate clients to tilt public opinion their way. He and his partners consider virtually everything about ASK to be top secret, from its client roster and revenue to even the number of its employees. But customers and public records confirm that it has quarterbacked campaigns for the Chicago Children’s Museum, ComEd, Cablevision, and AT&T.

ASK’s predilection for operating in the shadows shows up in its work. On behalf of ComEd and Comcast, the firm helped set up front organizations that were listed as sponsors of public-issue ads. Industry insiders call such practices “Astroturfing,” a reference to manufacturing grassroots support. Alderman Brendan Reilly of the 42nd Ward, who has been battling the Children’s Museum’s relocation plans, describes ASK as “the gold standard in Astroturf organizing. This is an emerging industry, and ASK has made a name for itself in shaping public opinion and manufacturing public support.

Lowest of Low Profiles

Eric Sedler, 39, a former public relations director at AT&T and corporate-reputation specialist at PR giant Edelman, is the “S” in ASK and the company’s managing partner. The “K” is John Kupper, 51, a former congressional press secretary and ad-industry consultant, while the “A,” of course, is Axelrod, a onetime Chicago Tribune reporter who got his start in politics when he managed Illinois Democrat Paul Simon’s first election to the U.S. Senate. Sedler says opponents mischaracterize what ASK does. “I reject the notion that a company can’t advocate a public policy,” he says. “These issues are complicated, and people have different points of view.” Axelrod, 53, did not respond to phone messages and e-mails.

Though the consultancies share management—Kupper, like Axelrod, is also a partner at AKP&D—and loft space, the two firms come across as polar opposites. On its Web site, AKP&D lists dozens of candidates and referendums it has worked on. Sample ads are available for downloading. Employees are named. ASK’s site is minimalist, revealing little more than that its three partners do all their work themselves. Sedler says, in fact, that in his six years at ASK, he had never done an interview with the media before. “We’re not in a business that warrants a huge public profile,” he explains.

Axelrod’s political connections can cross over into his corporate business. Mayor Richard M. Daley, one of Axelrod’s friends and earliest clients, is pushing construction of a new Children’s Museum in Grant Park to replace a facility on Navy Pier that the museum says it has outgrown. So far, though, “open-space” foes such as Reilly have stymied the move. The museum retained ASK early in 2007. Sedler says Axelrod’s ties with Daley had nothing to do with the contract.

ASK is counseling the museum, which reports annual revenue of more than $11 million, including government grants, on its message strategy. It is also writing ads, including a 60-second radio spot that stresses how the new quarters would blend into Grant Park and be more accessible. Sedler won’t say how much ASK is receiving, joking that it’s “about 30¢ per hour.” Consultants at other PR firms say corporate clients pay monthly retainers of up to $25,000, though nonprofit groups usually pay less. In addition, firms typically get 15% of whatever clients spend on advertising.

ASK’s relationship with ComEd goes back much further: The Chicago-based utility says ASK has been an adviser since at least 2002. ASK’s workload picked up in 2005, as the Exelon subsidiary was nearing the end of a 10-year rate freeze and preparing to ask state regulators for higher electricity prices. Based on ASK’s advice, ComEd formed Consumers Organized for Reliable Electricity (CORE) to win support.

One TV commercial, penned by ASK, warned of a ComEd bankruptcy and blackouts without a rate hike: “A few years ago, California politicians seized control of electric rates. They held rates down, but the true cost of energy kept rising. Soon the electric company went bust; the lights went out. Consumers had to pay for the mess. Now, some people in Illinois are playing the same game.” CORE, which describes itself on its Web site as “a coalition of individuals, businesses and organizations,” was identified as the ad’s sponsor. After a complaint was filed with state regulators, ComEd acknowledged that it had bankrolled the entire $15 million effort.

The message seemed effective. Pollster Geoff Garin, president of Peter D. Hart Research Associates in Washington, which has worked with both of Axelrod’s businesses, says his research showed that after the advertising campaign, ComEd customers were more supportive of a rate hike than customers served by other electric utilities elsewhere in Illinois.

Axelrod’s public and private efforts bump into each other at ComEd, too. Illinois employees of the utility and its parent, Exelon, have contributed $181,711 to Obama’s Presidential bid—more than workers at any other company in the state.

A Big Contract

Illinois does not require public-affairs firms to register as lobbyists unless they seek to influence officeholders directly. But New York does. In New York City, Cablevision, owner of Madison Square Garden, hired ASK to stop the New York Jets from building a stadium nearby in Manhattan. In its ads and materials, the opposition called itself the New York Association for Better Choices. Records show ASK was paid $1.2 million by Cablevision from 2004 to 2005. LegislativeGazette.com, an online weekly covering New York government, described ASK’s payday as “the biggest lobbying contract of the year.”

Among ASK’s other clients: AT&T. The telecom company, formerly known as SBC Communications, had been a customer, Sedler confirms, when it requested ASK’s help to defeat a broadband referendum in three Fox Valley suburbs in 2004. ASK received $22,500 for its voter-persuasion drive.

In politics, Axelrod’s AKP&D is as partisan as they come. But ASK travels easily across the aisle. Gene Reineke, head of Hill & Knowlton’s Chicago office and former chief of staff for Republican Governor Jim Edgar, says his PR firm shared ComEd as a client and now works with ASK on the Children’s Museum. “Their firm is outstanding,” he says. “I think it’s one of the best in the field, to be honest.”

Avis LaVelle, a former Daley press secretary who now runs Lavelle-Cousin Issues Management, also teamed with ASK on ComEd’s CORE campaign. She says their consultancies are practicing a new kind of PR, bringing tools and know-how from the world of politics into the corporate and nonprofit realms. “A lot of what is done to shape public opinion in political life,” LaVelle says, “can be applied to public affairs for corporations.”

Great…we have the same guy who uses paid mercenaries to sway public opinion for Big Corporations sitting in the White House doing the same thing for Obama and the progressive agenda..

This isn’t the first time we have talked about the major astroturfing that goes on in the name of all things Obama. In a piece we wrote last year entitled: Oh my….Barack Obama Caught Astroturfing, we went into some of the shenanigans the Obama team was engaged in.

The reporting surrounded a young girl named Julie Hall who was “randomly selected” to ask a question of President Obama at an event in Portsmouth, NH, pushing ObamaCare.

Julia, who lives in Malden, Massachusetts, read the following question off a piece of paper: “As I was walking in I saw a lot of signs outside saying mean things about reforming healthcare. How do kids know what is true and why do people want a new system that can help more of us“.

This, of course, set Obama up for his talking points.

Come to find out, sweet little Julie was a plant. Her mother, Kathleen Manning Hall, is a huge democrat insider, with connections out the wazoo to many top politicians in the Bay State, including failed senatorial candidate Martha Coakley. You can read more about all of this here.

Kathleen even had a photo of herself and Obama on her facebook page.

There are plenty more documented cases of planted questions from “connected” questioners at other Obama events. Obama’s people are particularly fond of using children to deliver these prepared questions. But suffice it to say, that over the summer, every time Obama had a Q & A session with a crowd, at least one of the questioners was a plant.

Typical audience at Obama event:

Speaking of Martha Coakley and astroturf, Michelle Malkin ran a hilarious story during the lead up to the election:

I printed an e-mail from a reader I received yesterday about union workers with Coakley signs standing outside the UMass debate venue. The e-mail reported:

“While speaking with one of the union guys holding the Coakley sign, he admitted that his union was paying him $50 to stand and hold the sign. I was blown away, I always thought that these guys were out in the cold like us, doing what we thought was the right thing to do, not that they were actually being paid a fee to do it. The best part was when he admitted that although he was there because he needed the money, he was voting for Scott!!”

This is actually pretty common practice for unions. Many provide members to go out and campaign for democrat candidates. SEIU, which is part of the same group that founded ACORN, is notorious for sending union thugs by the bus loads to events. These purple shirted bullies were sent out in force to town hall events this past summer, and were given priority admittance in order to drown out opposition to Obama’s unconstitutional health care “reform” legislation. Again, astroturfing to give the appearance of support for something that every single poll out there shows is wildly unpopular.

It was a group of purpled shirted SEIU thugs who severely beat Kenneth Gladney at a town hall event this past summer. Gladney, a black conservative had set up shop outside the event selling patriotic items like t-shirts and the always popular Gadsen flag. (Don’t Tread On Me) A gang of SEIU members jumped him, wrecked his stand and as they beat him, called him many names, including “nigger.”

Anyhow, I find it quite delicious that this union worker went ahead and took Martha’s $50 and then voted for Brown! This was followed up by a report from the website Red Mass showing a number of purple shirted SEIU members all holding signs in support of Scott Brown. Read more here.

By the way, this happened a day after a certain resident of Alaska made this plea to union members nationwide.

Speaking of Sarah Palin, the astroturf campaign against her by Obama and his henchmen is legendary. We’ve written at length how Obama involved his campaign chief-of-staff, Pete Rouse, who is now a White House adviser, in this effort.

By now everyone knows that Rouse, an Alaskan, worked with leaders of the Alaska democrat party and other movers and shakers to not only recruit bloggers, both local and national, to plant false stories about Sarah all over the internet, but also to help recruit people to file phoney ethics complaints against her.

It was the financial burden these phony complaints were placing not only on Sarah personally, but the Alaskan taxpayers (over $2 million) that would eventually lead Sarah to make the decision to turn over her government to her Lt Governor, Sean Parnell, a brilliant move…in hindsight.

Rouse and his people also used their influence with hate peddler Arianna Huffington, of the Huffington Post, to give local hate mongers Shannyn Moore and Jeanne Devon a high profile slot over at the vile website. Also used were people like Linda Kellen Biegel, the “Official DNC blogger for Alaska” and a host of smaller, lesser know, but equally unscrupulous bloggers.

What Rouse and his group set up was a network of websites that were both fed information and story lines from the White House, and given access to the nation’s media to spread the hate and the lies to virtually every media outlet I the country.

This astroturfing effort is unprecedented. The amount of effort and coordination used against Sarah Palin boggles the mind. It also create a completely false narrative about Sarah that she is still working hard to set straight to this day.

Of course, the efforts didn’t stop there. As we wrote in October, there was also an effort by the big movers and shakers to use Levi Johnston against Sarah and her daughter Bristol. A big campaign to keep Levi in the spotlight was launched and partially funded by Stewart A. Resnick, a billionaire liberal democrat.

Resnick is the Chairman of Roll International. Roll’s business involves agriculture, Fiji Water, and the Franklin Mint among other things. He is also a prime financial backer behind the democratic/communist party. You can read more here.

It was Resnick’s company, Roll International, that employed Levi and his “bodyguard” Tank Jones to “star” in a commercial hawking pistachio nuts.

The Mighty Serf reminds us just what an incestuous bunch these people are. Resnick’s wife Lynda is the godmother of Arianna Huffington’s daughter. Lynda Resnick has her own portfolio of shady dealings and controversies. This is a must read, and you can do so here.

Remember this: Every time you see Levi Johnston, the nation’s most infamous dead beat dad, on television, there is a coordinated effort by the democrat/communist party machine behind it all.

All of this brings us to the current scandal that is surrounding the President.

Sharp eyed readers and a group of dedicated citizen journalists have discovered the latest astroturfing effort to come out of the office of the “Community Organizer-in-Chief” Barack Obama.

As reported by Patterico, someone named Ellie Light has been on a real writing binge. First reporting discovered Ellie’s handiwork in at least 42 newspapers in 18 states!

Now this in itself is no big deal. I’m sure many of use who are politically active have written to newspapers, not necessarily from our home town, in support or protest of an issue. The problem with this deal is that every time Ellie wrote a letter, she claimed to be a local resident, of what ever city, or the surrounding area, the newspaper was located in. This is astroturfing on a whole grander scale!

This is a fast moving story, and we are all finding out that the number of letters is far greater thanfirst though. But first things first, this from Patterico:

Ellie Light: Obama Astroturfer? Or Very, Very, Very Energetic But Independent Letter Writer? With Houses All Over the Nation?

A woman has written the same letter defending Obama to dozens of publications across the country, getting them published in at least 42 newspapers in 18 states, as well as Politico.com, the Washington Times, and USA Today. And the woman, Ellie Light, has claimed residence in many of these states.

Think there might be some phony Astroturfing there?

At the Cleveland Plain Dealer, Sabrina Eaton makes a nice catch:

Ellie Light sure gets around.

In recent weeks, Light has published virtually identical “Letters to the Editor” in support of President Barack Obama in more than a dozen newspapers.Every letter claimed a different residence for Light that happened to be in the newspaper’s circulation area.

It’s time for Americans to realize that governing is hard work, and that a president can’t just wave a magic wand and fix everything,” said a letter from alleged Philadelphian Ellie Light, that was published in the Jan. 19 edition of The Philadelphia Daily News.

A letter from Light in the Jan. 20 edition of the San Francisco Examiner concluded with an identical sentence, but with an address for Light all the way across the country in Daly City, California.

Variations of Light’s letter ran in Ohio’s Mansfield News Journal on Jan. 13, with Light claiming an address in Mansfield; in New Mexico’s Ruidoso News on Jan. 12, claiming an address in Three Rivers; in South Carolina’s The Sun News on Jan. 18, claiming an address in Myrtle Beach; and in the Daily News Leader of Staunton, Virginia on Jan. 15, claiming an address in Waynesboro. Her publications list includes other papers in Ohio, West Virginia, Maine, Michigan, Iowa, Pennsylvania and California, all claiming separate addresses.

She has more houses than John McCain!

But there are a few more places her little pro-Obama missive appeared, besides those documented.

Like Ben Smith at Politico.

And the Washington Times.

And a blog at USA Today.

And the Sheboygan Press in Wisconsin. And the Stevens Point Journal in Wisconsin — listing an address of Algoma, Wisconsin.

And in addition to the Californian.com link provided in the Plain Dealer story, listing an address in Salinas, CA, there are other California letters with other California addresses.

The letter appears in the Gilroy Dispatch and Morgan Hill Times, both listing an address of San Felipe, CA.

And in Good Times, listing an address in Santa Cruz, CA.

And in TheUnion.com, listing an address of Grass Valley, CA.

And Connecticut’s stamfordadvocate.com.

A letter was sent to a columnist at the local Daily Breeze here in the South Bay area of Los Angeles.

On an unrelated note, recall that recently, Glenn Greenwald flagged the fact that Obama’s pal (and head of the Office of Information and Regulatory Affairs) Cass Sunstein recently wrote this paper suggesting something sounding a lot like Astroturfing:

Sunstein advocates that the Government’s stealth infiltration should be accomplished by sending covert agents into “chat rooms, online social networks, or even real-space groups.

He also proposes that the Government make secret payments to so-called “independent” credible voices to bolster the Government’s messaging (on the ground that those who don’t believe government sources will be more inclined to listen to those who appear independent while secretly acting on behalf of the Government).

Who is Ellie Light?

I would like to know.

Wouldn’t you?

P.S. If you find other examples, please leave them in comments with a link. Many more updates in the extended entry.

UPDATE: Add the following:

California: The Los Banos Enterprise, listing an address of Gustine, CA.

Maine: In addition to the Maine link above, there is another appearance of the letter in Maine: in the Bangor Daily News, in which Light lists an address of Bangor, Maine.

Maryland: The Baltimore Chronicle.

Massachusetts: The North Adams Transcript, listing an address of Williamstown.

List your additions below.

UPDATE x2: Add these as well:

Connecticut: Another Connecticut paper, in addition to the Stamford listing: the Danbury News-Times. And here’s another: the Greenwich Time a/k/a Ctpost.com. (Address listed is Greenwich.)

Georgia: Gainesville Times. (Her address is listed as Gainesville.)

Massachusetts: In addition to the above, there is The Berkshire Eagle.

New Hampshire: It appeared in the Seacoastonline, which appears to be an online version of several New England papers including the Portsmouth Herald, Exeter News Letter, and others. Light’s address was listed as Portsmouth, NH.

Vermont: Bennington Banner.

Wisconsin: In addition to the above, there is the Oshkosh Northwestern (address listed is Oshkosh).

So far I count 35 publications in 16 states as well as the District of Columbia. Light managed to get herself published in media outlets in California, Connecticut, Georgia, Iowa, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Michigan, New Hampshire, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Vermont, Virginia, Washington, D.C., West Virginia, and Wisconsin.

UPDATE x3: redc1c4 adds Spectrum.com in Utah, where Light claims to be from Washington City. That’s 36 publications in 17 states plus D.C.

UPDATE x4: DRJ adds 5 more publications in comments:

Here are a few more:

HudsonHubTimes.com, in which Ellie listed Streetsboro OH as her hometown.

[Duplicate already mentioned in the Plain Dealer article eliminated.]

The Willits News, with Willits CA as the hometown.

CDAPress.com of Coeur d’Alene ID, with Ellie listing a hometown of Post Falls.

From Ohio, the Chillicothe Gazette, with Chillicothe OH as the hometown.

And my current favorite so far, The Bangkok Post — the “World’s Window to Thailand.” No hometown provided.

Idaho is thus included as a new state, bringing the running total to 41 publications in 18 states plus D.C.

UPDATE x4: redc1c4 adds an Annapolis, Maryland publication. Light lists her city of residence as Annapolis. That’s 42 publications in 18 states plus D.C.

This is off the charts astroturfing!

This is spreading of propaganda in a manner that would make Joseph Goebbles envious! This reaches the highest level of Obama’s corrupt government. Cass Sunstein is a Cabinet level official.

It’s an incredible story. I encourage ever one of my readers to get over to Patterico’s website, as there is a link to each and every one of these letters to the editors there. You can read them all for yourselves.

Even better, Patterico’s alert readers have found quite a few more examples of Ellie Lights’s handiwork, complete with all of the links! Those can be found in the comments section of their reporting.

Get over to Patterico and check all of this out.

There is a whole lot more to come on this subject.

The reason this will be a series is there is just too much of this to digest in one sitting. I’m kind of known for long winded bloviating, but the sheree volume of information is staggering.

Here’s a little preview. There are at least two more very prolific astroturfers. More examples of of Ellie Light’s fine handiwork has been uncovered, as well. Oh, and evidently, it’s all Sarah Palin’s fault!

Stay tuned dear readers, stay tuned!

Before you go though, I’d like to offer up this little musical dedication to all of Barack Obama’s astroturfers, both great and small:

Millions At D.C. 912 Project Tea Party Protest Dozens At 913 Pro Obamacare Rally….A Tale Of Two Protests.

As we all know, the Obama controlled media has went above and beyond the call of duty to downplay the 912 Project Tea Party in Washington, D.C. on Saturday. It’s been completely laughable, to say the least.

We wrote about this earlier, and supplied plenty of photos and video. But it seems the Obama controlled media has it’s orders to cover things up, and they are doing their very best not to disappoint their Dear Leader.

The media in other countries have no such slavish devotion to Obama. This from the UK Daily Mail:

All of the evidence points to numbers between 1.5 and 2 million attendees at the event. There are overhead crowd shots that clearly demonstrate the crowds were some of the largest ever seen in D.C. for a gathering of any kind.

Everyone reports that D.C. for every intent and purpose was shut down due to the incredible amount of folks who came from around the nation to protest big government, Obamacare, communism, and the general wrong path government has us on.

But one of the best pieces of evidence is provided by USA Today. They were kind enough to provide an estimator of Barack Obama’s January inauguration.

You can easily use the handy gauge USA Today has given us to judge the crowd at Obama’s big day, to gauge the crowd size at the 912 Tea party.

Moderate in the Middle has a lot of photos as well as great videos over at their website, that one simply must take a look at.

JoAnn in VA Says:

September, 14, 2009 at 3:00 am

“The photo showing very few people at the march was actually taken of the National Mall. We did not have permission from DC Parks and DC police to use the Mall. We had permission to march on 16th Street, one block north however, and had to start at 10 am instead of the scheduled 1130 beginning time because the DC police told the organizers that we had reached “Critical Mass” and had more people at the starting point than could safely be contained. At 2 pm there were still people marching down 16th Street.

Mr. Obama, can you hear us now?”

Courtesy: Moderate in the Middle

I doubt this will put an end to the misinformation the Obama controlled media will continue to spread, but at least readers of ours will have some hard evidence to show that backs our assertions up.

Now it just so happens, we have video of two protests covered by the same reporter, Sophia Elena , which give us not only a great feel for the 912 event and it’s overwhelming success, but also what a complete and utter failure the pro-Obamacare rally was they next day.

As the first video shows, the overflow crowd was lively and motivated:

This video, also from Sophia Elena Reporting, shows a rally for Obamacare that was held on Sunday.

Rather incredible. It’s obvious that all of the passion is on the side of the American people and not with Obama and his government.

Even with all of David Axelrod’s astroturfing prowess, ACORN’s ability as “community organizers” and their sister organization Service Employees International Union’s (SEIU) ability to round up paid protesters and ship them anywhere, it’s obvious that support for Obama and his tyrannical government is almost non-existent, and certainly not “fired up”, to use a favorite Obama rallying cry!

The support for Obamacare is quite obviously dead. If you notice in the video from Sunday, the Obamacare supporters were basically walking in a big circle to make things look better for the camera.

Are you listening over in Congress? Do you understand what this means?

One other note that really says something about the 912 movement. Look at these photos below. The first show the area after the 912 protest. You will notice that Patriots left the grounds rather clean and free of trash when they packed up and left.

Now these photos are of the aftermath of Obama’s inauguration. We thought democrat/communists cared about our environment. Guess we were wrong!

Speaking of ACORN, here’s a nice pallet cleanser for you. It seems ACORN showed up at the 912 protests trying to sell Gadsden Flags. (Don’t Tread On Me)

The man you see in the video taking on ACORN is Tim Jones. As he explains at the end of the video, he observed the ACORN people harassing the Patriots and trying to make a buck off the protest.

It’s funny how all of these communists denounce capitalism as evil, but have absolutely no problem participating in it!

This is great video theater though. Tim Jones has obviously read “Rules For Radicals” the “community organizer’s” rabble rousing bible! Tim uses the methods fringe hate groups like ACORN, Code Pink, and a slew of other left-wing trouble makers, have used for decades to disrupt and intimidate.

It’s a true delight to watch him use their very own methods against them!

You notice the only violence comes from the ACORN people who hit Jones more than a few times. In the end we see our intrepid ACORN crew escorted out of the area by D.C. Park Police!

Sarah Palin Slaps Down Barack Obama Hard On His Government Take Over Of Health Care And Issues A Call To Action We Must All Answer!

As is her style, Governor Sarah Palin came out swinging on the health care debate that has turned America on it’s ear, and is destroying the Obama presidency right before his eyes.

Sarah, who has two sets people the democrat/communist party would just as soon let die, takes this very seriously. Obviously, Sarah’s parents Chuck and Sally are older, and ripe for picking off when the rationed health care comes around. And her youngest son, Trig, who has Down Syndrome, is someone the radical left wing is angry at Sarah over the fact that she ever allowed him to be born in the first place!

And if you don’t believe me, just go to any radical left wing hate site like the Huffington Post, Daily Kos, or Democrat Underground. I call them radical the left, but the democrat/communist party, as a whole, has skewed so far left, that these vile hate sites are “mainstream” for that sick political party. These hate sites, and others, have continually attacked Sarah, and Trig himself.

This is Sarah’s statement :

“Statement on the Current Health Care Debate”

“As more Americans delve into the disturbing details of the nationalized health care plan that the current administration is rushing through Congress, our collective jaw is dropping, and we’re saying not just no, but hell no!

The Democrats promise that a government health care system will reduce the cost of health care, but as the economist Thomas Sowell has pointed out, government health care will not reduce the cost; it will simply refuse to pay the cost. And who will suffer the most when they ration care? The sick, the elderly, and the disabled, of course. The America I know and love is not one in which my parents or my baby with Down Syndrome will have to stand in front of Obama’s “death panel” so his bureaucrats can decide, based on a subjective judgment of their “level of productivity in society,” whether they are worthy of health care. Such a system is downright evil.

Health care by definition involves life and death decisions. Human rights and human dignity must be at the center of any health care discussion.

Rep. Michele Bachmann highlighted the Orwellian thinking of the president’s health care advisor, Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, the brother of the White House chief of staff, in a floor speech to the House of Representatives. I commend her for being a voice for the most precious members of our society, our children and our seniors.

We must step up and engage in this most crucial debate. Nationalizing our health care system is a point of no return for government interference in the lives of its citizens. If we go down this path, there will be no turning back. Ronald Reagan once wrote, “Government programs, once launched, never disappear. Actually, a government bureau is the nearest thing to eternal life we’ll ever see on this earth.” Let’s stop and think and make our voices heard before it’s too late.

– Sarah Palin”

Rep. Bachmann’s speech can be viewed here.

Sarah mentions some serious heavyweights such as preeminent economist Thomas Sowell, a Rose and Milton Friedman Senior Fellow from the Hoover Institute, as well as our greatest conservative leader, and President, Ronald Reagan. If an American would just study Sowell and Reagan, they would see the right path to get America on track again, and defeat the democrat/communists before they destroy the nation completely.

In fact this video of Ronald Reagan must be taught to every American. It must be taught as a course of study in our schools!

Now, more than ever, I am convinced that Barack Obama and the democrat communist party are absolutely on an insane path to remake America in a way that is no where even close to what America has always been. They want to build an authoritative communist state the likes of which this world has never known. A totalitarian regime where average Americans are nothing more than slaves to the state.

Much has been written about the insane radicals and their vile ideology that Barack Obama has marinated in since birth. Many people have written about these worthless America hating communist troublemakers, so I won’t rehash here. I did cover some of it in my earlier piece “We Are The New Counterculture” but a trip to your favorite search engine will teach you all you need to know about all of Obama’s incredibly radical, dangerous, and anti-American friends.

One of the more dangerous things Obama has done is completely usurp the Constitution and the Senate’s responsibilities of advise and consent. The President can appoint cabinet members and pretty much elevate, or demote any position to cabinet level at his digression. But, all cabinet members must be completely vetted and go through an aggressive confirmation process by the Senate. This is a basic constitutional duty of the Senate, and part of the very ingenious checks and balances system our founders put into the Constitution.

Now Obama has a group of some of the most clinically insane, left wing kooks that ever walked the face of the earth working for him. No way in the world these people even get a Senate hearing, let alone pass one. So Obama’s solution, an unconstitutional one, is to appoint Czars. We have more Czars than Russia had in it’s day. We almost have as many Czars as we have had Presidents, and he’s still adding more!

There are so many absolute nuts involved in this deal that it turns ones stomach. American Thinker has a nice primmer, and Glenn Beck has been running a series on his Fox News show daily on these people. Rather than wear the reader out, I’m just going to ask people to do their own research, as there is plenty out there to learn from!

But to just give you a random idea about these crazies, and the extent of how insane they are, one of these nuts was for putting some sort of chemical in the nation’s water supply that would sterilize the population thus “saving the planet.” Another nut-job wanted to paint the roofs and streets white! One wants animals to have the same constitutional rights as humans!

Now again, I’m not talking about some hippies in a commune, or some ultra radical underground eco-terrorists. These people work for, and are accountable only to, the President of the United States, the most powerful man in the world, who himself is under the delusion that he is accountable to no one!

In other words, these insane left wing malcontents have the ear, the attention, and the interest of the President of the United States. This should give you nightmares, if you can sleep at all!

Sarah mentioned Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel in her statement. This cat is the brother of Obama’s Chief-of-Staff, Rahm Emanuel, nothing more than a fancy thug himself, who has been known to send dead fish to people who he wants to intimidate. But this guy is a teddy bear compared to his brother Ezekiel. Were he alive today, I’m thinking Dr Joseph Mengele might just say something like “Hey Zeek, maybe you need to learn some humanity!”

There is something about the communist that just weirds me out. They are completely soulless. Just cold blooded, unfeeling, uncaring creatures.

Anyway, Dr Zeek is someone that, in the context of the health care debate, may be the most evil man alive. This is a guy who advocates denying health care to old people, disabled people, and other’s deemed unimportant to society. And Dr Zeek is Obama’s point man on the health care legislation. His Czar.

Knowing this makes me sick to my stomach.

Look, “progressives” as they call themselves now, have always been some sick, racist puppies. To the democrat/communist party, Planned Parenthood is the holy church, and abortion the holy sacrament. They derive some very perverse pleasure knowing they can destroy human life at will. Play God, so to speak.

One can only imagine the excitement these devils must be feeling knowing they will be able to play God, not only over the unborn, but every single American, deciding at will, who lives and dies via their death panels. I can hear the corks popping on the champagne bottles now, as they celebrate their power!

And of course, Barack Obama is the absolute sickest. He even supports infanticide. Obama has supported legislation that would allow a doctor to murder a baby who “survived an abortion attempt” or as humans call it, being born! It’s as vile as it gets.

This is a man, when talking about sex ed and his daughters, said he wouldn’t want his girls “punished” with a child. This man, like many crazed dictators, has some serious physiological issues.

This sort of stuff is nothing new to progressives though. Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood was a suspected member of the Ku Klux Klan, and a Nazi collaborator. Just like most of those who surround Obama and advise him on the health care issues, Sanger was a leading proponent of eugenics, a really evil science.

In fact, some say it was her work that caught Adolf Hitler’s eye, and even inspired and justified his own Holocaust against the Jewish people, who he found inferior.

You can read more about Margaret Sanger here.

The bottom line on this, is these people are incredibly dangerous, and have absolutely no use for the common man. They are elitists. They think only they can know what is best for you.

Even worse, they really don’t care if the entire nation is against what they want to do, they know better than you ever will, what is right for you. Don’t believe ‘em, just ask ‘em!

And it’s not just Obama and his Chicago street thugs that he brought with him. It’s the entire democrat/communist party. It’s Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi. It’s Steny Hoyer and Dick Durbin. It’s Barney Frank, John Conyers, and Charlie Rangel.

The democrat/communist party along with the President of the United States is literally at war with the American people. They are calling normal every day Americans who have never protested a thing in their life, a “mob”, or some sort of Republican hit squad. Never mind that many of these very angry people are registered democrats and independents!

Now this is pathetic on their part but it makes me laugh in lot of ways. I still remember the angry, bordering on violent, protestors from groups like Code Pink who routinely shouted down or physically attacked anyone they disagreed with. When one protested about their barbaric, uncivilized antics, we were screamed at and told it was the ultimate in patriotism to speak “truth to power.” Well, now that these hateful people are in power, it’s a crime against the state to disagree with the Dear Leader!

Even better, you are supposed to spy on your family and friends, and report even their most intimate conversations in disagreement to the White House!

Of course what really makes this ridiculous is the fact that Obama’s one real claim to fame is being a community organizer! Now evidently, the average democrat voter is just clueless, because I’ve had them talk about all of the things these groups do. I guess they think these rent-a-thug enterprises otherwise know as community organizations spend their day planting gardens and cleaning up parks or something. The truth is, these are militant groups that are nothing more than a mob for hire, and generally used to extort something from someone.

We all know that ACORN’s mobs played a huge part in forcing bankers to give loans to people who should have never gotten one, based on their ability to repay them. And ACORN is directly responsible for the mortgage crisis that put our economy in a death spiral in the first place. ACORN also went after the AIG executives recently, actually busing these thugs to the executives’ homes all in an attempt to extort money through intimidation.

Obama’s job at ACORN was to train these rent-a-thugs on the finer points of communist Saul Alinsky’s “Rules For Radicals” or, how to intimidate your opponent through mob tactics.

But, now that ordinary everyday Americans, who have never spoken up in their lives are exercising their God given rights, as protected by the Constitution, they are enemies of the state! People who must be stopped at any cost!

I call Obama a communist, because well, he most certainly is. And with their bent, I’ve taken to calling the party, the democrat/communist party, which with their direction, is rather kind. The amount of evil that emits from this group is palpable.

Look, we know on Obama’s night stand he has a very worn, dog eared copy of Alinsky’s “Rules”, you can look on any of these democrat/communist politicians’ night stands and find that. They hand those out at college like ACORN hands out voter registration cards to anyone with a pulse!

I’m pretty sure Obama has the book his soul mate Hugo Chavez gave him a while back, “The Post-American World” written by Fareed Zakaria. as well.

But from Obama’s latest thuggery, I’d bet my bottom dollar he has a mint condition copy of Mein Kamf right there for handy reference as well.

I’m not an expert on pre-war Germany by any stretch of the imagination, but I’ve always been interested in that period of time. Might be because my dad was part of that generation, but WWII, the events that lead up to it, and all the went on around it, have always interested me.

The comparisons to pre-war Nazi Germany, and Obama’s little 7 months in office are staggering. Just the symbolism alone is enough to seal the deal for me!

Of course, the Nazis and the communists , even though enemies in practice, were really the different sides of the same coin. Not a whole lot of difference between socialism and communism when you get right down to it. But both groups have this obsession with symbolism, glorified photos of their Dear Leaders, signage, and the like. If you look at Obama’s symbol for his health care death cult it is straight out of the Nazi party clip art book, just “modernized” for your viewing sensibilities!

More and more Obama is not only adopting the Nazi look, but the Nazi tactics. For those that don’t know, Nazi is a very shortened version of the real name, Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpartei, or National Socialist German Workers’ Party. The Nazi’s were simply socialists, no real difference between them and the current democrat/communist party.

Anyway, however you want to slice it, Obama is using Hitler’s play book. He and the leaders of the democrat/communist party have started verbally attacking the American people because they dare to tell them as Sarah puts it, “Not no, but hell no!”

Americans are fed up with the direction Obama is taking the nation and are speaking out en masse.

The Obama thugacracy is blaming all of this on the Republican party, which save for a few brave souls, is pretty useless at this point, and totally out of power. I mean Obama and his democrat/communist party are in total control. They can pass absolutely anything without a single Republican vote. The problem is, they know that many of them will be retired after 2010 by the voting public, provided we have elections in 2010. The American people have had it! So Obama and his thugs are looking to blame Republicans for their failure.

Now one thing Hitler did as he built up his various private armies and groups of brown shirts, was to use the labor union thugs as his enforcers. Enter the Service Employees International Union. (SEIU)

Barack Obama, the thug community organizer that he is, had the audacity to tell his democrat/communist Congress, and the SEIU thugs to “punch back twice as hard” at the American citizens protesting Obama’s radical attempt to destroy the American way of life, a way of life that has endured more than two centuries.

This is the sort of tactic Obama told his campaign people to use during the election when he told his thugs to “get in peoples faces!” You can almost hear Adolf’s sweet voice as he most likely said similar words in the Munich beer halls just before his election!

Pamela Geller has the story of what happened Thursday night in St Louis at a town hall meeting. It was deplorable, and very un-American. The big fat union thugs wearing purple t-shirts with SEIU in yellow, in place of the customary brown shirt more familiar to the Nazis, attacked and severely beat an unarmed black man handing out patriotic material. You know, flags, buttons, and so on.

Kenneth Gladney was jumped by a group of these worthless thugs, beaten to the ground, and then kicked.

I’ve seen Mr Gladney in several Fox TV interviews with his attorney. This is a very typical American. Mild mannered, quiet and reserved. Just a seemingly very nice person. To be singled out, cursed and severely beaten by a group of thugs, sanctioned by the President of the United States, is absolutely unheard of in this nation!

You can read Pamela Geller’s indepth report here.

You can see video of the beating, as well as the Neil Cavuto interview with Mr Gladney here.

The last time something even remotely like this happened in America was on March 5, 1770. Within 6 years, we were fighting a revolution and birthed a new nation.

Look, I know this started out as a report and commentary on Governor Sarah Palin’s very personal take on Obama’s misdeeds. But this issue is so much larger than even Sarah Palin.

We all look to Sarah Palin as our natural leader in the struggle against Obama, his thugs, and communism. Whereas Obama represents tyranny, enslavement to a central government that wants to control your every thought and deed, a vile and distasteful vision to all Americans, Sarah Palin is just the opposite.

Sarah represents everything that is good, and great about America. Her life story is quintessential Americana. A self made woman who literally went from a cabin in the woods to becoming one of the most powerful figures in American politics. Sarah Palin represents liberty and freedom. Sarah Palin represents a deep love for America that all true Americans have. She also represents a deep love for the rule of law, and our most sacred political document, the Constitution. A document that is the envy of the world!

It’s not by accident that Sarah was the first Governor in the nation to sign into law a statute affirming the sovereignty of her state under the 10th Amendment of the Constitution. Sarah clearly understands the vision our founding fathers had of a small weak central government, with a strong network of sovereign states that were mostly left alone to govern their own citizens as they saw fit. The main purpose of the united part of the United States was for the mutual benefit of all of the several states when it came to international trade and national defense as well as being a referee in case of disputes between the several states.

In short, Sarah is a Federalist, a constructionist. Someone who understands just how wise our founders were, and how the progressive movement’s century long move toward a centralized communist government is wrong, and has done grave damage to the nation, it’s people, and it’s prosperity.

But as I say often, Sarah Palin is not a mythical savior. Sarah is possibly one of the greatest leaders in our nation’s history. Many millions most certainly feel very strongly she is. But Sarah is still a mortal. Unlike those who drank the hopenchange brand of Kool-Aid who think Obama is some sort of messiah, I think Sarah’s supporters understand that she is human. But she is a very special human, made from the greatest stock on earth, the American Spirit!

So, instead of sitting around and waiting for Sarah to come in and save us, for her to do all of heavy lifting, it’s up to all of us, the everyday American to take the inspiration this remarkable woman gives us all, and get off the couch and into the game!

Look, for those that don’t know, SEIU and ACORN are joined at the hip. They even share more than a few office buildings around the country and that mysterious little converted funeral home at 1024 Elysian Fields in New Orleans. Here is an interesting read if you don’t already know about these thugs.

Like Hitler, Obama will use the ACORN and SEIU thugs to do his dirty work. They will be his brown shirts until he can build that private army he talked about during the election. An army, as he put it, “as powerful and well funded as the military.”

One thing we have to be mindful of is Hitler’s tactics. Think about what Obama has done. He has openly sent a bunch of thugs to attack unarmed American citizens. Now Americans, as a whole, are pretty well armed. Most gun owners understand the real reason why our founders wanted to make sure EVERY American, with very few exceptions, was armed.

Our founders had just fought a revolution where the British had attempted to confiscate all weapons before the uprising. Why do you think the democrat/communists have REALLY been trying to unarm the American public for the last 100 years?

Anyway, our founders knew if the people were as well armed as the government, the government would behave!

As Thomas Jefferson said:

“When the people fear their government, there is tyranny, when the government fears the people, there is liberty.”

One thing you must be very cautious of, Obama, like Hitler, is devious and evil. History buffs know of the famous Reichstag Fire in Germany. History tells us that was a put-up job. Hitler had the Parliament burned and blamed it on the opposition. He used this event to pretty much install himself as dictator for life.

We all know Obama’s love for despots around the world, and I am certain in his dreams he sees himself as Dear Leader for life, ruling over his communist utopia. So as much as some may want to show these SEIU and ACORN thugs a thing or two with the business end of your favorite side arm, resist it with all of your might. We don’t need to give Obama a chance to set himself up as King!

If the time ever comes, we’ll all know when. By then saving the nation will be a lot less important than just starting over with the adults in charge.

So, when you go to the rallies, the tea parties, and the town halls, take friends, and take cameras. Take plenty of video and document everything. Every time you see a purple-shirted SEIU thug, or a red-shirted ACORN thug, make sure their every breath is documented by multiple cameras. Hopefully they will have the good sense to behave. But if not, you will have it all on tape.

Probably a good idea to have the local police on speed dial as well!

But don’t give Obama the satisfaction of his very own Reichstag Fire!

Do, however, get involved in absolutely any and every way you can to stop Obama, and the entire democrat/communist party. Get ready to work harder than you ever have in your life to put solid Ronald Reagan/Sarah Palin conservatives into every seat that is up for election, not only nationally, but locally as well. If a guy or gal is running for dog catcher and can’t quote Reagan at length, go find someone else!

That’s how we win this, and that’s how we take the country back!

It’s a time to choose liberty and freedom. We can sleep when we are dead!

In conclusion, I do not condone violence, but I think this quote from Thomas Jefferson sums it all up quite nicely:

“God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quite under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty….

And what country can preserve it’s liberties, if it’s rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure.”

Surprise! George Soros Behind Ethics Complaint Against Governor Sarah Palin

PALIN CABINET

I’m shocked, shocked I tell you!

Remember the flap Governor Sarah Palin had to endure during the election cycle over her wardrobe? Did you ever wonder how such a non-story was turned into a big deal?

Let’s review the facts: Governor Palin was vetted for months as a potential running mate for Senator McCain, however, the decision to choose her came very late in the campaign – almost on the eve on the Republican National Convention.

While Sarah and Todd Palin make a nice living, they are not wealthy by any stretch of the imagination; this is a middle class family. When one considers that Alaska’s climate and culture is a tad different than the lower 48, it makes sense that some new duds, fit for the campaign, and her position in it, were certainly required.

Constructing a wardrobe and assembling a team to prepare a political candidate for the national spotlight is not uncommon, in fact, it is ‘business as usual’ in every campaign, with virtually every politician for national office. The media ignored that fact and focused on Michelle Obama’s frugal clothing expenditures (a public relations stunt that the media endorsed and supported) and, at the same time, needlessly and shamelessly attacked Governor Palin.

This is what happened: The GOP and a man named Jeff Larson, who is a longtime Republican advisor, and was the chief executive of the host committee for the convention, decided the wardrobe was a good idea. It was Jeff Larson who bought and paid for the clothes. Campaign finance laws, of course, dictated that the GOP reimburse Larson for his expenditure, and they did.

What the critics of Governor Palin, who just wouldn’t let this go and sought to portray her as a “shopaholic,” missed is the fact that most of the wardrobe purchased was actually sent back almost immediately, because they were the wrong size, indicating the Governor didn’t do the shopping. Most people know what sizes they wear.

But why was this even a story, let alone a 24/7 circus?

Two words, George Soros!

For those who don’t know who George Soros is, think Ernst Stavro Blofeld, the super villain from the James Bond movies, or if you will, a less endearing version of Mike Meyer’s “Dr Evil”.

Soros is an Eastern European socialist who made billions of dollars through currency and commodities speculation. He is credited with the serious devaluation of the British pound note back in 1992. He is said to be the man who “broke the Bank of England.”
In 2002, Soros was convicted of insider trading in France, a felony, and fined $2.3 million dollars.

Recently, Soros was quoted as being very pleased with the current economic situation in America. Could it be that he is speculating on the American dollar?

What does this mean?

Well, politically, George Soros is an extreme leftist. He, of course, is a huge supporter of President Barack Obama.

The way Soros works, in my opinion, is a bit nefarious – at best. Rather than be out front and advocate his socialist policies, Soros funds dozens of far-left front groups; some with innocent enough sounding names, but, based on my research, these groups promote left-leaning schemes, nonetheless.

These groups and foundations support everything from open borders, to the legalization of most drugs, to abortion on demand. George Soros’ funded “programs” also promote the liberal agenda being taught in schools.

Some of Mr. Soros’ endeavors include: MoveOn.org, The Open Society Institute, USAction, Center For American Progress, Americans United For Change, and many more, including Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW).

CREW is the group who filed the clothes complaint against Governor Palin, and, in conjunction with Soros’ many activist organizations, as well as “friends” in the media, kept the story going well past its normal shelf life.

CREW is a shadowy group. Depending on the source, you will find that CREW was either founded in 2001 by left-wing activists Norm Eisen (an attorney) and Louis Mayberg (a prominent Democrat donor, and co-founder of the Maryland-based mutual fund management firm ProFund Advisors LLC).

Or

CREW was founded by Melanie Sloan, in 2003. Ms. Sloan is listed as the Executive Director on CREW’s website. As you see, she references 2003. “CREW was founded in 2003 by Melanie Sloan, a former U.S. Attorney.”

Confusing at best.

CREW’s “Form 990” IRS filing for 2001 lists Mr. Mayberg as one of its three Founding Directors; the other two are Daniel Berger (a high-profile Democrat donor who in 2004 made a $100,000 contribution to America Coming Together, another Soros-funded entity) and Mark Penn (a fellow at the New Politics Institute, yet another Soros foundation, and a top Democrat strategist and pollster who not only played a key role in Bill Clinton’s 1996 presidential campaign, but also served as head of “message and strategy” for Hillary Clinton’s 2000 Senate campaign)

Although CREW denies any ties to George Soros, they indeed receive funds from the Democracy Alliance, the Tides Foundation, as well as the Open Society Institute – all Soros front groups.

CREW seeks to construe itself as “non-partisan,” however, most of their efforts target Republicans.

This group is not exempt from its own ethical quagmires: One issue involves an ethics complaint filed against The Center for Union Facts, an anti-union group, and its sister organization, the Center for Consumer Freedom, which CREW claimed are “front organizations for for-profit industry entities.”

The problem is that it appears this effort was funded by the Service Employees International Union; a group with heavy. ties to ACORN and to Soros himself in the form of contributions amounting to $75,000.

Perhaps CREW should take a good look inside its closet before filing unwarranted claims about someone else’s wardrobe.

Back to the issue at hand: like every other resolved ethics complaint filed by the unruly left against Governor Palin, this clothing ethics complaint filed with the FEC by CREW was shot down: the FEC ruled that no laws were broken.

Upon investigation, it appears that CREW prefers filing ethics complaints over actually litigating them. In fact, CREW actually changed its mission statement several times, pointedly de-emphasizing litigation.

CREW’s main purpose seems to be to file ethics complaints against a prominent, high profile target with the primary intention of seeking negative media exposure as opposed to pursuing real issues.

The “target” is marked for attack; CREW gains its destructive publicity, and then moves on to the next target. What is the purpose of this strategy if there is no successful prosecution of claims? CREW knows that the charges will be plastered on the front page of every newspaper and will be the lead story on every news channel, coast to coast, for days or even months. Of course, when the charges are thrown out, that little bit of news gets buried in a tiny blurb, deep in the newspaper, on page A18.

This has most certainly been the strategy used against Governor Palin. Numerous phony, and, sometimes, almost comical “ethics complaints” have been filed against Governor Palin since she has become a national figure and the front runner for the 2012 Republican nomination for President.

The filing of these nonsensical complaints (13 of which have been thrown out), made huge headlines nationwide, and yet little, if any, news coverage has been devoted to their resolutions.

Finally, it’s been established that George Soros is a committed socialist. It is very troubling that such a rich man can use his wealth for such un-American activities; and it is even more troubling to see many Americans either unaware or unconcerned while these anti-American actions take place.

Americans can and should hold public officials accountable for their actions. However, it’s unethical (and an oxymoron) for groups like CREW to use a valid legal procedure to damage careers and harass their political targets with phony ethics charges and feigned outrage.

Is this the America you want to live in?

Do you want an America where a far left socialist has access to the highest offices in the country and the ability to get his anti-American agenda enacted?

Well, sadly, with George Soros, that’s exactly what you have right now.

The question is, what are you willing to do about it?

Now is a time for choosing.
