New Reagan Statue in Budapest Celebrates Fall Of Communism

ASSOCIATED PRESS Sculptor Istvan Mate puts some finishing touches on his statue of former President Ronald Reagan, which will be unveiled in Budapest on Wednesday. The bronze statue will stand in the city’s Freedom Square.

As we continue to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Ronald Reagan’s birth, and remember the positive impact we have world wide, her’s yet another tribute to one of the most monumental accomplishments of Reagan’s, the fall of the Soviet Union, and communism. as a major force.

From the Washington Times:

BUDAPEST — A larger-than-life (7 feet, 2 inches tall) bronze likeness of former President Ronald Reagan will stand in Freedom Square in this historic city – which he never visited, but which is the first in the former Eastern bloc to erect a statue in recognition of his role in dismantling the Soviet empire.

It will be unveiled by Prime Minister Victor Orban, leader of Hungary’s conservative government. The Hungarians, according to a recent government statement, “will always remember with gratitude the unchallengeable role played by the United States and President Reagan in bringing the Cold War to a conclusion, and for the fact that Hungary regained its sovereignty in the process.

The powerful work by Hungarian sculptor Istvan Mate captures the president in mid-stride, as though walking across Szabadsag (Freedom Square) to the Hungarian parliament a couple blocks away. Along with the issuance of Reagan commemorative stamps by the Hungarian post office, the statue marks the centennial of the 40th president’s birth. In Prague, the Czechs are naming a downtown street after him, but no statue.

Mr. Mate never met Reagan but he based his likeness on photos. The artist recently told the Associated Press that he had to work quickly to finish the statue in time. The commission came from the Orban government (with support from the California-based Reagan Foundation) after the center-right Fidesz party’s victory in the April 2010 election. The socialist government that had been in power for the previous eight years was hardly likely to have ordered such a tribute – particularly since there already is a bust of Reagan in Budapest, unveiled less than five years ago.

A large screen has been set up to show scenes from Reagan’s life during Wednesday’s unveiling, at which former Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice and Edwin Meese, Reagan’s attorney general, were due to speak.

But some noted that Defense Secretary Donald H. Rumsfeld, who famously hailed the former communist satrapies as “the New Europe” for supporting the Iraq War (as opposed to “the Old Europe,” which did not), was not on the list of U.S. guests.

A statue to Reagan in Budapest is likely to irritate the Russians, but there has been no comment out of Moscow. The Hungarians have a history of angering the Russians. There was the abortive uprising in 1956, of course, and after the Cold War the Hungarians and other East Europeans angered the Russians by the alacrity with which they joined NATO, the old enemy.

It is not lost on ordinary Hungarians that the Reagan statue will have a far less popular neighbor in the shape of a 40-foot-high obelisk commemorating Soviet troops who died in Hungary fighting the Nazis during World War II. The Hungarians would like it moved to a less prominent location, but that would deeply offend Russia.

The week’s schedule of events in Budapest requires a delicate choreography of U.S. high-level visitors because the day following the unveiling Ms. Rice’s successor will also be in town. In Budapest for talks with Mr. Orban, Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton is also expected to attend the opening Thursday of an institute of human rights named after the late Rep. Tom Lantos, a California Democrat who was born in Hungary.

Mourning vs Morning In America

This is a new video from the Citizens For Responsible Government. The work, based on the iconic television commercials President Ronald Reagan used in his 1984 re-election campaign, speaks volumes.

In 1984, the Reagan reelection campaign set the standard for modern political advertising with its fabled “Morning in America” series, which included one of the greatest political ads of all time — “Better, Prouder, Stronger.” The ad captured the zeitgeist — America under President Reagan was coming back, full of optimism and confidence in the future.

Today, the zeitgeist is exactly the opposite. Americans are worried about their future, and about a government determined to implement policies that just don’t work. But like its predecessor, “Mourning in America” offers a new hope — if we can just get our government to return to time-tested policies that can spark a rebirth of liberty.

Having survived the Carter years, which can best be described as horrific, Ronald Reagan was a real hero to Americans. So bad was Carter, it took two full Reagan terms for America to really turn around, and frankly, with the cancers on society Carter created like the Community Re-investment Act, which triggered the financial collapse we are dealing with now, and the creation of the Department of Education, which has destroyed the quality of education in this country, while throwing hundreds of billions of dollars into a bottomless pit, we are dealing with Carter’s stupidity to this very day.

With that said, in just four short years, President Ronald Reagan’s strong conservative leadership had turned America from a depressed wasteland full of people that had given up on the American dream, to a proud nation that was energized once again.

People were going back to work, the economy was moving again.

Carter had severely reduced military spending as most Marxist-democrats do, and left America is peril from the Soviet Union and others. His deliberate tolerance of Muslim radicals led to fall of Iran’s government, the establishment of the current terrorist state, and the seizure of American hostages.

These hostages were held by the terrorist Iranian government for over 400 days, only to be released as Ronald Reagan was being sworn in as President of the United States.

It was Reagan’s powerful stance against our enemies: “We win, they lose” that made people proud to be Americans again. Couple that with Reagan’s natural optimism, his love of America, and his unwavering belief in the American people and it was truly Morning in America again.

Compare the Carter era style misery, the video above depicts, with the unbridled optimism, and feeling you get from Reagan’s campaign spot. While you watch, please remember, this is how people really felt, and it showed at the polls as Reagan won a 49 state landslide in his bid for re-election.

We have a Ronald Reagan among us today. Someone whose optimism, enthusiasm, pioneering spirit, and deep love for this land and our people. Coupled with the experience and leadership skills to get things done, she gives us all hope. Like Ronald Reagan, she sees American as a Shining City on the Hill.

I look forward to Morning in America again, and can’t wait to see what her re-election campaign ads will look like in 2016.

Glenn Beck Discusses The Latest Evil Plot The Obama Regime Has In Store For America

Glenn Beck’s afternoon show on Fox News is appointment TV. It’s one of those shows that simply should never be missed. Party history class, part latest news, Beck has found a winning formula.

Monday’s show was exceptionally informative as Beck once again showed the connections between the radical communists, the union thugs, the Obama regime, and the environmentalists.

It’s quite chilling to see how the unions and the communist radicals have conspired with Congress to get us in the economic despair we are in, so they’ll have the excuse to “fundamentally change America,” as the only answer to our problems.

Like most Americans, the only “fundamental change” I want to see in America is a total housecleaning of Congress come November, and a return to using the Constitution and the Rule of Law as our guide to governing the Republic.

After that we can work on ending the Obama’s regime’s reign of  corruption come 2012.

The True Goals of “Social Justice” Revealed By Protester At Restoring Honor Rally

From The Gay Patriot. This loon is trying to say Dr Martin Luther King was all about “social justice.” (He wasn’t) Comically, this cat explains all of this, and truthfully says that yes “social justice” is all about wealth re-distribution. (Communism) For some reason the radicals are finally coming out of the closet, so to speak, and admitting what they are all about.

Ben Howe confronts a Progressive protesting the “Restoring Honor” rally yesterday. Funny how the event was at the Lincoln Memorial…. but the misguided protestor was lamely hanging out by himself at the Washington Monument. Heh.

This is three minutes of pure fun as Ben rips this guy apart and demonstrates the sheer lack of principles of the Progressive movement. At the end, the poor fool stammers and shouts “Well, you’re a RACIST and an IDIOT.” Yup, when their intellectual argument breaks down after three minutes — Progressives pull the race card out as their last gasp of hope.

This is why I don’t associate with the Gay Left — straight, gay or whatever — this protestor exemplifies the Progressive movement; and the Gay Rights crowd are a keystone of the American Progressive movement.

It IS all about redistribution of wealth. But that isn’t “social justice” folks; it’s Marxist-Communism.

It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.

Yes, I know …. every episode of the Glenn Beck Show is must see TV, but today’s is especially thought provoking, especially considering where Obama has our nation headed.

As Glenn talks about the new Kenyan constitution, one must realize that President Barack Obama, the son of the father, illegally funded the process with American taxpayer money.

Not only does the Obama supported constitution impose Soviet style communism on the Kenyan people, it also forces Sharia law on the non-Muslim country.

As if imposing the draconian laws from the 7th Century, as well as the horrifically failed policies of communism wasn’t enough, it’s also being reported that Obama insisted Kenya legalize abortion.

I guess it’s not enough for Obama to champion the wholesale slaughter of innocent life in this country, our most pro-abortion President in history looks to export this barbaric practice worldwide. What a legacy to leave the world!

It’s a shame our corrupt media never took time to actually look into Barack Obama’s life during the election. They need to be held responsible for the nightmare this nation, and the rest of the word faces, as the result of their shilling for Obama and placing him in power. 

What you see in Kenya is where Obama would like to take the nation. He’s said it over and over, if you just listen to the man’s words. Obama was raised by communists to be a communist ideologue, and that’s a fact. Destroying America, and replacing our Constitution with one similar to Kenya’s would be his everlasting tribute to dear old dad. His “crowning achievement.”

As Beck points out, we are living history right now. America is at a real turning point. We are not that far away from having the big Iron Curtain of Communism fall on this nation. This is Obama’s stated goal.

This is why November is so vital, and why you simply can no longer sit back and do nothing.

Obama and his party of Marxists must be stopped at all costs or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.

Survey: 40% Of Tea Party Patriots Are Democrats And Independents



Our research shows that Tea Party activists’ top concern – economy and jobs — mirrors the majority of voters in the country

Bad news for Barack Obama and the Marxist-democrat party. Despite what the nonsense their media partners are trying to sell the American people, a significant number of Tea Party Patriots, nearly half, are not Republicans.

The Winston Group conducted three studies from December 2009 through February 2010 and fond that while 57% of the Tea Partiers are indeed Republicans, 28% consider themselves independent and 13% consider themselves democrats.

Their summary:

WASHINGTON DC (April 1, 2010) — Tea Party activists may be ardent supporters of economic conservatism but are similar to the overall electorate when it comes to economic priorities, according to the findings of a new report released by The Winston Group today on the political movement.

In one of the most extensive looks to date at just who Tea Party activists are, how they think, and the ideas that matter to them, the report found that 17% of the people polled considered themselves “part of the Tea Party movement” and more than four in ten Tea Party members said they were either Independents or Democrats.

In three national surveys, done for New Models from December 2009 through February 2010, 57% of Tea Party members called themselves Republicans, another 28% said they were Independents, and 13% were Democrats. Two-thirds of Tea Party members identify as conservatives but 26% say they are moderate and 8% described themselves as liberal

The study also found Tea Party members are more likely to be male by a 56-44% margin, slightly older than the electorate as a whole and middle income earners. When it comes to issues, the research found that Tea Party activists espouse a strong economic conservatism.

In the February 2010 New Models study, 36% of Tea Party members name the economy and jobs as their top issue with national deficit and spending close behind at 21% — over twice as high as the overall electorate. However, when given the choice in the January survey, Tea Party members favored “reducing unemployment to 5%” over balancing the budget 63-32%, which closely reflects the overall electorate (64-32%).

While Tea Party members prioritize job creation over deficit spending and tax issues, they value economically conservative policies because they view them as a means to reducing unemployment and improving the economy. Over 4 out of 5 Tea Party members (85%) say tax cuts for small business will create more jobs than increased government spending on infrastructure while the overall electorate prefers tax cuts by a more modest 61-31% margin.

Couple this with the fact a significant number of these Patriots are minorities, Blacks, Hispanics, and others, and one can see the Marxist-democrat party’s once reliable voters are deserting them en masse.

And the hits just keep on coming! Now there is this bit of bad news for Obama reported by C4P:

We Ask America finds that “[t]he Land of Lincoln may be home base for President Obama, but it joins other Midwestern states having slightly higher disapproval-over approval-ratings.” A majority of Illinois registered voters disapprove of their former junior Senator and former congregant of Trinity United Church of Christ.

The poll was conducted on March 10 but since Barack Obama’s national approval has not increased in the last month, it’s unlikely that he’s performing any better in his home state.

We Ask America also finds longtime Democrat Party hack David Obey’s re-election efforts possibly in jeopardy. Over 53% of the voters in Wisconsin’s 7th Congressional District are less likely to support Obey’s re-election because he voted in favor of Obamacare. Governor Palin endorsed his likely opponent Sean Duffy in mid-February and assisted him with a successful money bomb.

We used to call folks like these “Reagan democrats” and they helped propel Ronald Reagan to two historic landslide election victories in 1980 and 1984. Do we now call them Palin democrats?

Ronald Reagan won 49 states in 1984 when he was re-elected, with his opponent, Walter Mondale, only wining his home state (by 2 points) and the District of Columbia. Will Obama even be able to carry Illinois against Sarah Palin in 2012?

Ted Nugent: Vote The Pigs Out, Stop The Communist Take Over Of America

We like Ted Nugent. Besides being an incredible guitarist, entertainer, sportsman, and conservationist, he is a true patriot. Like most Americans, Ted loves this country and is deeply angered by what is going on, and he ain’t pulling any punches!

Appearing on Your World With Neil Cavuto, Ted discusses the communists who have wrested power from the people and usurped the Constitution as part of their ongoing coup d’état against the American people and the Republic.

Listen while Ted describes the Marxist-democrats’ actions in Washington, DC as an “orgy of waste and abuse of power.”

What Obama, and his out of control thug Congress, have done to America is unforgivable. These people are not fit for office. We must take back Congress and in my opinion start prosecuting the Senators and Congressmen who have taken illegal back room deals, crafted unconstitutional legislation, against the will of the American people, and voted to pass this tyrannical legislation without even reading it.

These vile men and women are traitors and should be dealt with accordingly. And, as Barack Obama is at the forefront of these treasonous acts, he must be impeached. Obama has violated his oath to the Constitution and the American people. He has violated the sacred trust we, as Americans, place in our President.

These acts a far too egregious to simply allow these criminals to slink away, under the cover of darkness, after their electoral defeat.

Sarah Palin’s Rallying Cry: This Out-of-touch Congress Sounds Our Clarion Call to Take a Stand

Like most Americans, I sat in total disgust last evening as radical communists cheered. The most radical and destructive government ever assembled in this greatest nation on earth voted to destroy it all last night, and then celebrated!

It was vile, it was hateful. It was disgusting, and it was distasteful.

Of course, we knew it was coming. The second voters elected this Marxist Congress way back in 2006 we knew we were in big trouble. And it didn’t take long either. Historically low unemployment and the longest period of economic growth in our nation’s history quickly reversed, and thanks to policies put in by the newly minted democrat Congress, the economy faltered then collapsed. This has resulted in unemployment numbers not seen since the Carter years.

Then in one of the biggest collective mistakes in human history, American voters voted in Barack Obama. The reasons why many voters fell for this Communist’s nonsensical chants of “hope and change” and promises of rainbows and unicorns in a Utopian paradise are unimportant now, as Sarah Palin is fond of saying, they just got snookered!

Palin, and frankly, millions of us regular people, tried to warn America about this un-American Marxist and the destruction he would visit on this nation. We knew about his radical associations and his Marxist upbringing by a mother, father and grandparents who were all active members of the Communist Party. We all knew that Obama’s mentor Frank Marshall Davis was an anti-American communist, so radical he was tossed out of the NAACP!

We all knew that Obama actively sought out other radicals in his college years, as well as later in life. We knew Obama “palled around with” murdering domestic terrorist William Ayers and his convicted cop killer wife, Bernardine Dohrn, who was once on the FBI’s “10 Most Wanted” list. We even knew that Obama’s wife, Michelle, worked with Dohrn in Chicago, and the Obama’s allowed the Ayers/Dohrn combo to babysit their kids!

We all knew about Obama’s radical America hating preacher of 20 plus years, the Reverend Jeremiah “God Damn America” Wright. And of course we all came to know all of Wright’s church’s anti-American and anti-Semitic stances, and how Wright and his church cozy up to Hamas. We also learned that “Black Liberation Theology” was nothing more than Marxism, communism, dressed up in a marginally more palatable package.

In other words, we all knew that Obama, from the time he was just an innocent child, a babe in his mother’s arms, was marinated in Marxist ideology and anti-American hatred, as well as anti-Semitism. We knew that Obama was trained from birth, by his America hating kinfolk and all of their friends to be what he is today: A radical Communist dedicated to the complete destruction of our way of life. It’s what he was trained to do. It’s how he was raised and groomed for life.

So…….the events of the past few days come as no shock to Conservatives, we saw this man and his Congress for what was he and they were, from day one.

There is great news though. Thankfully, while Americans may get distracted at times, and not pay attention to things of a political nature, at this point, they are fully and completely engaged. Men and women who have never been political in their lives are stepping up and speaking out.

No better example of this was the major protest that took place in Washington Saturday and Sunday, with only 24 hours notice, over 25,000 people rallied to fight against this unconstitutional government take over of 20% of our economy and 100% of our lives.

Do not despair, dear readers, the fight is not over, it’s only just begun. Sarah Palin issued a rallying cry today. A real reminder that we all must take a stand against these radicals and defeat them at every turn and on every level:

Out-of-touch Congress Sounds Our Clarion Call to Take a Stand

We’ve been reminded many times that elections have consequences. Yesterday we saw the consequence of voting for those who believe in “fundamentally transforming” America whether we want it or not. Yesterday they voted. In November, we get to vote. We won’t forget what we saw yesterday. Congress passed a bill while Americans said “no,” and thousands of everyday citizens even surrounded the Capitol Building to beg them not to do it. Has there ever been a more obvious exhibition of a detached and imperious government?

In the weeks to come, we can expect them to try to change the subject, but we won’t forget. Don’t let them move on to further “transformational” steps while forgetting what Congress just did against the will of the people. Though Obamacare will inflict billions in new taxes on individuals and employers, at least it creates some jobs: the IRS might have to hire as many as 16,000 new employees to enforce all the new taxes and penalties the bill calls for! And that doesn’t include all the other government jobs from the 159 new agencies, panels, commissions and departments this bill will create. As the private sector shrinks, we can count on government to keep growing along with the deficits needed to keep it all afloat. (Is this the kind of “change” Americans asked for?)

In the end, this unsustainable bill jeopardizes the very thing it was supposed to fix – our health care system. Somewhere along the way we forgot that health care reform is about doctors and patients, not the IRS and politicians. Instead of helping doctors with tort reform, this bill has made primary care physicians think about getting out of medicine. It was supposed to make health care more affordable, but our premiums will continue to go up. It was supposed to help more people get coverage, but there will still be 23 million uninsured people by 2019.

Though they’d like us to forget, we will remember the corrupt deals, the corrupt process, the lack of transparency, the deceptive gimmicks to game the CBO score, and the utter disregard for the will of the American people. Elections have consequences, and we won’t forget those who promised to hold firm against government funding of abortion, but caved at the last minute in exchange for a non-binding executive order promised by the most pro-abortion president to ever occupy the White House.

All along we’ve said that we want real health care reform, but this isn’t it. We mustn’t be discouraged now. We must look to November when our goal will be to rebuke big government’s power grab, reject this unwanted “transformation” of America, and repeal dangerous portions of Obamacare that will bury us under more Big Government control.

This is just the beginning of our efforts to take back our country. Consider yesterday’s vote a clarion call and a spur to action. We will not let America sink into further debt without a fight. We will not abandon the American dream to government dependency, fewer freedoms and less opportunity. Change is made at the ballot box. If we work together, we can renew our optimistic pioneering spirit, revive our economy, and restore constitutional limits.

Stand tall, America. November is coming!

I know the communists are out there claiming a great victory, and dismissing all of us, the American people, as sore losers. It would be one thing if the communists achieved victory with great bi-partisan support such as FDR and LBJ had for their disastrous expansions of government, but you see, the American people have learned from experience that huge government entitlements and expansions as those put in place by Roosevelt and Johnson take on a life of their own, and are bankrupting our nation now. They know this ObamaCare fiasco will destroy us all.

Not only was ObamaCare shoved down America’s throat, against the will of the American people, it was done without a single Republican vote, or the vote of many democrats who actually have some sense of the difference between right and wrong, good and evil.

In other words, not only was there no bi-partisanship, the radical communists couldn’t even get all of the members of their own party to go along! In fact, to pass the bill on a pure partisan, party line vote, billions of tax payer dollars YOUR dollars, were spent bribing Senators and congressmen for their votes!

This is the most corrupted process in our nation’s history.

The good news is no one is going to take this lying down. Last night Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott announced he had initiated a conference call with many of the state Attorneys General around the country and they had come to the decision to launch a multi-state lawsuit:

Just got off the AG conference call. We agreed that a multi-state lawsuit would send the strongest signal. We plan to file the moment Obama signs the bill. I anticipate him signing it tomorrow. Check back for an update at that time. I will post a link to the lawsuit when it is filed. It will lay out why the bill is unconstitutional and tramples individual and states rights.

The Washington Post notes this morning that 11 states are prepared to file suit the moment ObamaCare becomes law:

Ten of the attorneys general plan to band together in a collective lawsuit on behalf of Alabama, Florida, Nebraska, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, Utah and Washington.

To protect all Texans’ constitutional rights, preserve the constitutional framework intended by our nation’s founders, and defend our state from further infringement by the federal government, the State of Texas and other states will legally challenge the federal health care legislation,” said Texas Attorney General Greg Abbott, in a statement.

The Republican attorney generals say the reforms infringe on state powers under the Constitution’s Bill of Rights.

Virginia Attorney General Kenneth Cuccinelli, who plans to file a lawsuit in federal court in Richmond, Virginia, said Congress lacks authority under its constitutional power to regulate interstate commerce to force people to buy insurance. The bill also conflicts with a state law that says Virginians cannot be required to buy insurance, he added.

If a person decides not to buy health insurance, that person by definition is not engaging in commerce,” Cuccinelli said in recorded comments. “If you are not engaging in commerce, how can the federal government regulate you?

WaPo goes on to note:

In addition to the pending lawsuits, bills and resolutions have been introduced in at least 36 state legislatures seeking to limit or oppose various aspects of the reform plan through laws or state constitutional amendments, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures.

So far, only two states, Idaho and Virginia, have enacted laws, while an Arizona constitutional amendment is seeking voter approval on the November ballot. But the actual enactment of the bill by President Barack Obama could spur more movement on the measures by state lawmakers.

As you can see, the real fight has just begun. Liberty and freedom are worth fighting for and those who would deny Americans their God given right to their freedom and liberty, as guaranteed by our Constitution, must be defeated and their regimes destroyed.

We are more than up to this fight ladies and gentleman, and more than willing to go the distance, doing what we must to defeat the communists and destroy, once and for all, their ability to poison this nation with their sick ideology.

Sarah Palin is our nation’s moral leader and our inspiration. But she is not alone, patriots across the nation and around the world are rallying to her message of real hope and real change, and are making a difference. Many great voices have emerged and we have found that there are indeed real statesmen and women wondering the halls of Congress.

The communist party passed ObamaCare…. just barely…by using every parliamentary trick they could muster, Bernie Madoff style accounting, bribes and threats. They did this against the will of the American people. For this they will pay and pay big.

As longtime democrat pollster and adviser Pat Caddell said, this is a “political Jonestown,” mass political suicide for the democrat party. And as someone who used to work Jimmy Carter, Caddell knows an epic political disaster when he sees it!

The communists who have taken over the democrat party have awakened a sleeping giant. More than anytime in our nation’s history, the citizens are awake, aware, and engaged.

We have one message for Obama and the communists, November is coming.
