Sarah Palin: Honoring JFK by Protecting Our Republic

JFK Ask Not

By Sarah Palin:

May this day honor the late President John F. Kennedy. In his honor, and to protect our republic, Americans implore today’s elected leaders to exercise virtuous truth and integrity in office.

Shockingly to some, the White House and Senate Democrats, desperate for a winning political talking point before Congress’s Thanksgiving vacation, just did the opposite.

Liberals just changed 230 years of enduring Senate rules by enacting the “Nuclear Option” that will now let just 51 votes approve the President’s nominees, and thus prevent dissenting Senators from filibustering controversial appointees who’ll be charged with decision making that affects our lives.

This is significant as further proof that our government is so broken. When politicians can’t get anything to work, they change rules and hope we’ll just get distracted. The hugely divisive, dysfunctional “Nuclear Option” sets a terrible precedent. Mark Levin appropriately calls it “the latest act of leftist tyranny.” It’s also leftist hypocrisy. Back under Republican control of the Senate, Democrats blocked President Bush’s judicial appointees. You should have heard Harry Reid and then-Senators Barack Obama and Joe Biden freak out in railing against the “danger… arrogance… poison” of the Republican majority even considering enacting such a rule change. To ensure cooperation and unity in balancing power for We the People, Republicans wisely did not change the rules.

But that was then. Now this makes for a nice Thanksgiving distraction for the left, but Americans are awake today – we’re not easily distracted with turkeys like this.

Do these far leftists realize Americans will not be chatting cheerfully around our Thanksgiving tables about how Obama and Reid nuked Senate rules? No, if political speak befalls dinner, we’ll no doubt vent about losing health insurance, seeing premiums skyrocket, not being able to afford unworkable Obamacare plans, and still wanting socialized healthcare scrapped altogether. We’ll discuss disappointment in the President and his Party for lying to us.

But don’t let this distraction ruin your Thanksgiving, America! Be thankful for at least one thing revealed in this latest radical act of the far left: more Americans are now stirred from slumber! Only a Butterball’s serotonin-induced sleepiness after dinner will lull us back in; Senate power grabbing distractions won’t do it.

Ha! Secret ObamaCare Provision Protects Gun Owners from the Evil Liberals Wish to Do

Harry Reid Shooting

By Gary P Jackson

Most days when I see, hear, or think of Harry Reid, I think about gallons of hot tar, truck loads of feathers, and the most productive use of such things. Today however, if he was here, I’d kiss the rotten, crooked son-of-a-bitch!

One of the reasons Reid was able to win re-election in 2010 over Tea Party favorite Sharron Angle was Reid had the powerful backing of the National Rifle Association. The video below shows Reid at the opening of a shooting range in Nevada, a range partially funded by tax payer dollars Reid earmarked.

Reid Clark County Gun Range

Before the healthcare bill passed, Conservatives were up in arms because absolutely no one in Congress had read the 2800 page monstrosity in full. Nancy Pelosi infamously proclaimed: “We’ll have to pass the bill to see what’s in it!” Well, guess what is in the ObamaCare bill …. 2md Amendment protection for gun owners, that’s what!

ObamaCare prohibits the federal government from collecting firearms registration data. CNN’s Jim Acosta explains:

Though both Reid and the NRA’s LaPierre declined to comment, CNN’s Acosta reports that Reid slipped this little jewel into the ObamaCare bill in order to make the NRA “benign” during the ObamaCare debate. You known, because “conspiracy theory nuts” might have said Obama would try to grab guns someday!

BTW, as I write this, the main headline on Drudge reads [ in bold red letters] as follows:

WHITE HOUSE THREATENS ‘EXECUTIVE ORDERS’ ON GUNS

Above the headline are the following photos:

SEC. 2717 ø42 U.S.C. 300gg–17. ENSURING THE QUALITY OF CARE.
….
( c ) PROTECTION OF SECOND AMENDMENT GUN RIGHTS.—As
added by section 10101(e)(2)

(1) WELLNESS AND PREVENTION PROGRAMS.—A wellness and health promotion activity implemented under subsection (a)(1)(D) may not require the disclosure or collection of any information
relating to—

(A) the presence or storage of a lawfully-possessed
firearm or ammunition
in the residence or on the property of an individual; or
(B) the lawful use, possession, or storage of a firearm or ammunition by an individual.

(2) LIMITATION ON DATA COLLECTION.—None of the authorities provided to the Secretary under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act or an amendment made by that Act shall be construed to authorize or may be used for the collection of any information relating to—
(A) the lawful ownership or possession of a firearm or
ammunition;
(B) the lawful use of a firearm or ammunition; or
(C) the lawful storage of a firearm or ammunition.

(3) LIMITATION ON DATABASES OR DATA BANKS.
None of the authorities provided to the Secretary under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act or an amendment made by that Act shall be construed to authorize or may be used to maintain records of individual ownership or possession of a firearm or ammunition.

(4) LIMITATION ON DETERMINATION OF PREMIUM RATES OR
ELIGIBILITY FOR HEALTH INSURANCE.

—A premium rate may not be increased, health insurance coverage may not be denied, and a discount, rebate, or reward offered for participation in a wellness program may not be reduced or withheld under any health benefit plan issued pursuant to or in accordance with the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act or an amendment
made by that Act on the basis of, or on reliance upon—

(A) the lawful ownership or possession of a firearm or
ammunition;
or
(B) the lawful use or storage of a firearm or ammunition.

(5) LIMITATION ON DATA COLLECTION REQUIREMENTS FOR
INDIVIDUALS.

—No individual shall be required to disclose any
information under any data collection activity authorized
under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act or an
amendment made by that Act relating to—

(A) the lawful ownership or possession of a firearm or
ammunition;
or
(B) the lawful use, possession, or storage of a firearm
or ammunition.

An Executive Order cannot supersede legislation, but we’ll have to watch every piece of legislation from now until Obama is out of office, and possibly beyond, because as easy as it was to hide this protection within ObamaCare, it’ll be just as easy to hide in another bill. Remember, the fiscal cliff death that just passed was around 159 pages, and no one even saw the final draft until about 3 minutes before the vote, meaning absolutely no one read the entire bill before voting, an act that should be a felony, and a jail-able offense. But I digress.

Sarah Palin: Barack Obama Has The Most Disconnected Backasswards Plan Ever Imposed On The Country We Love!

By Gary P Jackson

This is what we love about Sarah Palin. Nothing shy, reserved, or nuanced about this woman. What you see is what you get! Sunday afternoon Sarah picked up her trusty BOTUS, BlackBerry of the United States, and sent this little note:

This came following tweets that read:

Sharon Angle’s right: new workers should get to invest some Social Security withholdings in their own savings accounts & Washington cont….

…to pay promised benefits to older workers. What part of “The System is Going Bankrupt” don’t you understand, Mr. Reid?

This was promptly followed by:

What happens in Vegas shouldn’t stay in Vegas;pls circulate this http://bit.ly/ddINDT

The link takes one to an editorial the Sunday issue of the Las Vegas Review-Journal:

EDITORIAL: President: we’re ‘moving forward

Mr. Obama visits Las Vegas
Two years ago, the majority of American voters supported freshman U.S. Sen. Barack Obama for president. Today, neither he nor his party seem that popular. Why?

No one supported candidate Obama based on his achievements – military, legislative, administrative, or creating jobs in the private sector. There weren’t any.

What they embraced was his vow to move past race and partisanship, to seek not merely Democratic solutions or Republican solutions, but bi-partisan solutions, multi-partisan solutions, American solutions.

If that Barack Obama had spoken at Aria in CityCenter Thursday evening, and then at UNLV Friday, one could easily imagine him saying, “You know, our economic policies of the past 18 months have not succeeded. In fact, many things have gotten worse. Here in Southern Nevada, your unemployment rate has skyrocketed from 4.4 percent to 14 percent, people have lost their homes, businesses have closed, 135,000 jobs have been lost. And it just might be that the tax-and-spend dinosaurs of my own party are part of the problem. So instead of making fun of Republicans, conservatives, libertarians, anyone with some fresh ideas, I’ve started calling in some of those ‘greedy capitalists’ who’ve created jobs in the past. I’m asking them what they think we should ‘change.‘”

Instead, Mr. Obama was here to raise funds for one of those aforementioned graying partisans of the Senate, Sen. Harry Reid. And Mr. Obama continued to blame all his — and our — problems on the mess he inherited two years ago.

Change? While the president did not mention Mr. Reid’s front-running Republican challenger Sharron Angle by name, he did comment on her plan to let younger workers invest part of their Social Security withholdings in private accounts they would own, while Washington would continue paying promised benefits to older Americans:

On a lot of these issues, she favors an approach that’s even more extreme than the Republicans in Washington,” said the “post-partisan” president, drawing laughter from the hand-picked, closed-door Democratic crowd. “That’s saying something. That is saying something. I mean, she wants to phase out and privatize Social Security and Medicare.

Whereupon the president proceeded to set out his own detailed plan — and Sen. Reid’s — to save a Social Security and Medicare entitlement system that’s already spent all the money current retirees ever paid in, and which is thus headed for bankruptcy.

Well, no, of course he didn’t do that.

The fact is, President Obama once again left behind a sinking feeling that neither he nor Sen. Reid have a clue how to pull this country out of its current dire economic straits.

Oh, they want to spend more tax money propping up the jobs of unionized state and local government workers — the president bragged, “We fought to keep Nevada teachers, firefighters, and police officers on the job” — at precisely the time state and local governments should be slashing their bloated budgets.

And where will that money come from? Big tax hikes on the very people who would otherwise be out there creating real, productive jobs — private businesses.

Higher cigarette taxes. Carbon taxes. “Cap and trade.” A tanning salon tax. A “1099” tax that’s projected to siphon an extra $7 billion out of the private conomy over the next decade to help fund Obamacare … which was supposed to “save us money.” They’re already talking about a national Value Added Tax, in addition to the income tax rates that will go up for everyone if the “Bush tax cuts” are allowed to expire in December.

The president nationalizes the student loan business — a precursor to forgiving tax-backed loans if graduates behave in ways he chooses, destroying thousands of private-sector banking jobs — and brags, “We fought to eliminate wasteful subsidies that go to banks to act as unnecessary middlemen in administering student loans and make the repayment of loans more manageable for students.

In a disconnect that seemed almost surreal, the president told his audience at UNLV Friday: “As I’ve repeated many times as president, I believe the greatest generator of jobs in America is our private sector. It’s our entrepreneurs and innovators, who are willing to take a chance on a good idea. … The private sector — not government — is, was, and always will be the source of America’s economic success.

That’s why we’ve cut dozens of taxes for the middle class and small businesspeople, extended loan programs to put capital in the hands of startups and worked to reduce the cost of health care for small businesses. And Harry is fighting right now to pass additional tax breaks and loan authority to help small businesses grow and hire.

But businesses are afraid to hire precisely because of the unknown costs of Obamacare, while the aforementioned targeted tax credits to support “clean energy” jobs — 50 here, 50 there, according to Mr. Obama’s own examples — will collapse the moment federal support is withdrawn.

Unfortunately, Spain already tried that, and a study conducted by Dr. Gabriel Calzada, an economics professor at Juan Carlos University in Madrid, reveals that every “green job” created with government money in Spain over the past eight years came at the cost of 2.2 regular jobs, while only one in 10 of the newly created green jobs became permanent.

President Obama admits government is not the answer — at the same time he’s growing government control over our economy at the fastest rate seen since the wartime emergency of 1942, while bragging how his administration will pick and choose which “startups” are worth taxpayer subsidies.

Problem is, it’s not working.

Preaty solid indictment of the Obama regime. It’s no wonder Sarah got so worked up and wanted to share with us all. Of course, if she’s anthing like we are, it doesn’t take a whole lot to get worked when talking about Obama and his horrific agenda for the American people. Obama must be stopped. The November elections will be the most important in our nation’s history.

We must defeat every Marxist-democrat at every level, in every election, and replace them with Conservatives who respect our Constitution and the Rule of Law. It will take years to reverse all of the damage the Marxist-democrats have done to this nation since they took control of Congress after the 2006 elections.

One of the very best ways to send a message we are done with the Marxist-progressive movement in our country, is to send Harry Reid packing. He and Nancy Pelosi represent the very worst our nation has to offer in the way of corrupt politicians. With that in mind, please support Sharron Angle, a solid Conservative who does believe in the Rule of Law, and that our Constitution is the supreme law of the land. You can visit Sharron’s website here: http://www.sharronangle.com/ She has Sarah Palin’s support, she can use yours as too!

Let’s send Sharron Angle to Washington y’all!

Sarah Palin: Even A Constitutional Law Professor Will Tell You, This Is Unconstitutional

This goes against the will of the people. And the process is, as other experts are going to tell you —Constitutional law professors even will tell you — the process that Pelosi is pushing right now is unconstitutional.

-Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin didn’t pull any punches last night when she appeared as an analyst on the Sean Hannity Show. Not only did she blast this health care fiasco and Obama’s propensity to “coddle” terrorists, she also made fun of his constant claim of being a “constitutional law professor.”

Obama is rapidly becoming a punch line as people more and more realize the guy is not a leader, and frankly, isn’t all that smart. Anyone who saw the interview Obama did with Fox News’ Bret Baier, the first real interview Obama has had in ages, understands Obama is just not an intelligent man. Baier took Obama to task, and Obama was simply out of his league.

You can read the transcripts and see the video here.

Below is the complete transcript of Sarah’s exchange with Hannity:

Palin Calls Health Care Process ‘Undemocratic‘ and ‘Un-American

SEAN HANNITY, HOST: And this is a Fox News Alert. Now sources on Capitol Hill are telling Fox News that the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office and their scoring of the Democrats’ health care bill will arrive tomorrow.

Now that means that the earliest that a vote could take place in the House is Sunday. Now still tonight the Democrats are short of the 216 votes that they need to pass the bill.

Now it’s estimated that up to 50 Democrats have yet to make up their minds on how they will vote. And many of those members are waiting on the CBO score to be released. And until that happen well, we won’t know how much that this piece of legislation actually costs.

And joining us tonight now from Alaska is Governor Sarah Palin.

Governor, welcome back to the show.

SARAH PALIN, FORMER ALASKA GOVERNOR: Thank you so much, Sean. Glad to be here.

HANNITY: By the way, David Letterman will be upset, we actually fixed the delays. So thanks again for being with us.

All right. First of all, as you stand, we are all watching this debate on health care. We’re talking about 1/6 of our economy. Where you stand, what do you see happening with this bill right now?

PALIN: Unfortunately, I think we’re entering this new normal, if you will. The normalcy that will be coming out of D.C. as a result of this corrupt process that Pelosi and Reid and Obama want to use is going to, I think, knock down a gate and herding through the open gate now will be more policy changes, more legislation to follow that will fundamentally transform this nation, as had been promised by Barack Obama.

I think they wouldn’t be talking so aggressively, so enthusiastically about actually taking the vote this weekend if they didn’t have the votes already lined up. It’s unfortunate, but again I think it’s a new reality, a new normal in America that this kind of process is being embraced by our leaders in Washington, D.C..

HANNITY: Yes, you know, our own Bret Baier had an interview with the president earlier today. And I thought he did a very good job of pressing the president on the process — on what they’re going to deem this bill passed in the House when they never voted on the bill in the House.

And we’ll get to the constitutional issue in a second. The president’s answer is, that what I can tell you is that the vote that is taken in the House will be a vote for health care reform. He said if people vote yes, whatever form it takes, they’re voting for the health care bill.

But that’s not really what’s happening is it?

PALIN: No. That’s not what’s happening. And you know, we’ve spoken a lot, Sean, about what real health care reform, with a lot of broad based support, could look like for America.

It could be patient centered. It could be free market oriented and it could actually have some results. This isn’t reform. This is government takeover. This is about control. And the process that’s being used by Pelosi — I think she’s kind of the front man for this, or the fall-guy for this one, because surely I’d have to believe she’s not just thinking this up, this unconstitutional process, but she is the spokesperson for it and the one pushing for it.

I think it’s quite unfortunate. And we can’t allow ourselves to get down or depressed about this, though. I’m encouraged when I see so many Americans rising up against this process being used.

This has been a really educational time for most Americans to realize that if we do not hold our politicians accountable, if we don’t hold their feet to the fire and call them on these made-up deem and pass process that Pelosi and others want to use right now, then things like this can be crammed down our throats.

It’s against the will of the people. It’s undemocratic. It’s un-American, this process, and if we don’t stand up and become very, very enthused about calling our politicians on this, then more of this is going to take place.

HANNITY: And the Constitution is very clear on this, which is part of the reason. The New York Post today, pretty stinging editorial on their page today, said Nancy Pelosi is a coward, a bully, and a hypocrite and Barack Obama is hiding behind her skirt.

So what does that make him? What do we to make of — if they have to bribe senators, and we don’t know about what’s going on in the House right now. We don’t know what dollars American people eventually will pay for their votes.

So they’re buying votes. They’re changing the rules in the middle of the game. They’re saying that they voted for a bill. They didn’t vote for it. They’re only voting for a rule change.

What does it say about where we are in this country right now?

PALIN: This is a scary place for America to be right now, Sean. Everything that our leaders in D.C. are doing now with this Obamacare, this government take over of health care, goes against the will of the people.

We’ve learned through America’s history that the government that governs least governs best. And that all political power is inherent in the people. Government originates just from the will of the people. It’s implemented according to the will of the people.

This goes against the will of the people. And the process is, as other experts are going to tell you — Constitutional law professors even will tell you — the process that Pelosi is pushing right now is unconstitutional.

This bill will not have been passed by both Houses in Congress and that is — that’s unconstitutional. It’s cut-and-dried, it’s white and black, it’s quite clear to most Americans that this isn’t right. And not only, again, does it go against the will of the people, but it goes against our own Constitution. What? The Constitution not worth the paper that it’s written on then.

HANNITY: Yes. It really is a question. We’re talking about Article 1, section 7 of the United States Constitution.

PALIN: Right.

HANNITY: It is very clear that Congress is required to present the president with a bill that was identical in both Houses. That’s not the case. The Senate voted on this particular bill, the House won’t even vote on it. This supposed to be specifically a yay or nay vote.

Our mutual friend, the great one, Mark Levin, and the Landmark Legal Foundation, they have now, if this Slaughter rule is used, they have prepared — I’ve put it up on my Web site. They have prepared a court challenge as to the constitutionality of it. There’s also been talk about the constitutionality of mandates.

From your perspective, do you think these — how do you think these will do in court?

PALIN: Well, the legal proceedings and the wrath of the public, our Congress will hear the American voice finally on this. They’ve gone now a year ignoring the American voice being opposed to this. And I would hope that yes, this will be successful in a court of law, this challenge to this unconstitutional process.

But certainly, the voice of the people via this wrath that Congress is going to feel if they go ahead and adapt this thing, shove it through, it’s going to be great. But I think, Sean, that in our lifetime this is the most undemocratic, un-American step that will have ever seen our Congress take.

It’s appalling. It’s — it takes my breath away that they would think this is OK to do. But again, we can’t feign surprise. Remember this is what Barack Obama had promised in the campaign. He said — as a candidate said he was just days away from beginning the transformation of America.

Now a lot of us love America and we don’t want to see this transformation into something that is unrecognizable, this European-style of health care in this case we’re talking about. But no, so many of us who love America and believe in what our founding fathers providentially had crafted for us via our documents including our Constitution, we don’t agree with this fundamental transformation of America that Obama promised us.

We voted for him anyway. He was elected anyway. And now Americans are kind of realizing that’s what he meant by a fundamental transformation of our great country.

HANNITY: Governor, stay right there. We’re going to have more with Governor Sarah Palin.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

HANNITY: And we now continue with former Alaska governor, FoxNews contributor, Sarah Palin. We’ve talked a lot about the process. The president addressed that in his interview with Bret Baier tonight. And I guess the question is, is that whether they’re successful or not, we’re looking at all the polls.

First time the president is upside down in the Gallup Poll. Rasmussen poll has had him at some of the lowest ratings he’s had since he’s been president of the United States. Right track, wrong track, generic ballot — now Republicans are up by 10 points. They haven’t been up by 10 points in years.

Is it too early to read what’s going to happen in November elections? You know American — the American people at times have been known to have short term memories.

PALIN: Yes, but I think what’s going on right now is it’s the independent American, the independent thinker, not obsessed with partisanship at all. Probably not even registered in one party or another.

But independent Americans are realizing, OK, we’re going down a path that is not good for our country, not good for our children, this debt we’re incurring, this takeover of 1/6 of our economy, with health care, this kind of coddling of terrorists.

As we try to win the War on Terror so many independent Americans are saying, you know, I think this next go round in these midterm elections I’m going to be casting my vote differently than how I cast it back in ’08.

I think that you’re going to see some shift there, Sean. But look at what’s going on now in Congress with Pelosi, with Reid, with Obama, we’re seeing desperation. Desperate people do desperate things. They are so desperate to get this health care thing passed through, shoved down our throats really, so that there is in their minds a win check mark in that column for President Obama.

That they are resorting to these desperate measures. And this does not bode well for those members of Congress who are up for reelection in the midterms. They’re being looked at as a bunch of wimps. They’re sheep. They’re following something that I think a year or two years ago they would never had considered to follow an unconstitutional process and not actually vote on a bill before they’re going to deem that it has been passed.

So this does not bode well on those non-independent thinkers in Congress who are acting like sheep and just going along to get along with Pelosi and with Reid.

HANNITY: That’s the odd thing to me. Look, you’re in the political world. I understand this is the Holy Grail for rigid ideologues like the president, Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid. I get where they’re coming from. I kind of saw this about President Obama early on.

What I don’t get: Is there any Democrat here with a conscience that’s going to speak out and say what you just said? That this process is corrupt, unconstitutional?

Now interestingly, the president did when he was in the minority party. Joe Biden did when they were in the minority. Hillary Clinton did when they were in the minority. I mean it’s classic hypocrisy. But I would think why would all these Democrats walk the plank? Is it the pressure of wanting to be liked in Washington?

PALIN: They’re like a bunch of dead fish. And only dead fish can go with the flow. And that’s what we’re seeing right now, Sean.

HANNITY: Yes.

PALIN: You know, from my personal experience as mayor and a city manager and as a governor I’ve had to buck my party many times. I had to go against what the party leadership insisted that members of the party do because I couldn’t sleep well at night.

HANNITY: Yes.

PALIN: So I have a hard time too believing that these members of Congress can sleep well at night knowing that they’re going against the will of the people, they’re going to against our own Constitution. Yet they’re going along just to get along with Pelosi and Reid and Obama.

HANNITY: You know, it’s interesting because I’ve been the same way my career. Like I always — I love President Bush. I think he kept the country safe. I opposed him strongly on immigration, opposed him strongly on Medicare prescription drugs, opposed the amount of spending by Republicans.

That independent streak is missing from the Democratic Party. And that’s almost —

PALIN: It is missing.

HANNITY: Go ahead.

PALIN: It is missing and that’s unfortunate because it’s independent almost pioneering spirit that courses through America’s veins and has made us into the country that we are. And I think more and more on the left who are just obsessed with this partisanship and obeying the leaders of the party right now to their constituents’ detriment.

It’s going to catch up with them. And that’s what you’re seeing, Sean, with the Tea Party movement and with others who are rising up and wanting their voice to be heard. And these are independent thinkers out there in America rising up and being so involved now.

They are wanting from their elected leaders that independence and asking them to have the moral courage to do what is right. Don’t just do what your leaders are telling you to do.

Again it’s to the detriment of the constituents this path that they are on.

HANNITY: Yes. Everything we talked about. Unconstitutional changes in the rules, last minute, we’ll deem the bill passed, we’ll buy off senators, we’ll buy off congressmen. On top of that this bill creates 159 new offices, agencies, programs, nearly half a billion in Medicare cuts, you know, all — taxpayer covered abortion.

You wrote about this in your latest Facebook. You know, Bart Stupak, supposed to be pro life. A lot of those 12 congressmen apparently are leaving. But you wrote something that he was being told that in fact hey, listen, more children will be born therefore, it will cost us millions more.

Did you actually — you read that quote obviously that he said?

PALIN: Yes, I did. And that — you know it got us back again thinking, too, those who believe that the most promising precious ingredient in this kind — sometimes kind of mixed up world that we live in, is not a child?

A child is the most promising ingredient in this world. And for that type of thinking to be involved now in the Obamacare debate that well, gee, more babies to be born in this world like that would be a bad thing, that’s absolutely appalling.

But, Sean, you’re making a good point, too. And we have strayed in this last week because we’re so concerned about the process that’s being used and abused right now to get this thing rammed down our throat that the substance of the bill or bills itself hasn’t been discussed as much.

Americans do need to stay focused on what is in Obama care and realize that, you know, there are still, as you point out, the 150 some new bureaucracies and commissions and offices that will be in control of our health care. That’s just one aspect of this that we need to get back to remembering what is in this bill.

Tough to remember what’s in the bill, though, because as even Obama has suggested, he doesn’t even know what’s in the bill. Pelosi, she said gee, we’ve got to pass the bill and then we’ll find out what’s in it.

HANNITY: Yes.

PALIN: Some scary things going on now.

HANNITY: Governor, great to see you and thanks for being with us. By the way, I’ve been to 48 of the 50 states. One that I haven’t been to is Alaska but that shot behind you, your backyard, it’s one of the most beautiful I’ve ever seen. Quite majestic. And we thank you for being with us tonight.

PALIN: Thanks so much. You got to get up here. It will thaw soon and that’s a lake that you can fish in. So come on up and join us.

(LAUGHTER)

HANNITY: All right. The fish better be weary. I’m a pretty good fisherman.

Governor, thank you for being with us.

PALIN: Good. Thank you.

Palin TV has the video and you can view it here.

Sarah Palin Proclaims: With a Stiff Spine America Must Stand Against Obamacare

Barack Obama is leading his party to certain disaster. He and his party have really gone off the deep end. The march toward complete tyranny in America must be stopped.

Look, let’s make this simple. America has spoken, for a year now, America has spoken. They have said not no, but HELL NO(!) to ObamaCare. Americans rose up at town hall meetings. Americans formed both the Tea Party and 912 Project. Millions marched on Washington.

Fully 3/4 of Americans say they want no part of what Obama and his tyrannical Congress are selling, and yet, Obama is still demanding his corrupt Congress pass this unconstitutional disaster.

Obama came into office with a majority in both Houses, a “super majority” actually, as his Senate was filibuster proof. Despite the caterwauling from democrats that they were being obstructed by those mean old Republicans, truth is, the ObamaCare is such a crap sandwich, even some democrats wanted absolutely nothing to do with it.

This is why we have seen backroom deals, like the Cornhusker Kickback and the Louisiana Purchase. All sorts of arm twisting behind the scenes. Obama may have illegally offered a Congressman’s brother a judgeship to get a vote out of the guy!

Instead of passing this mess though, Obama has fail, and America has only spoken louder and louder, saying HELL NO!

Obama lost his “super majority” in Congress when the bluest of blue states in the nation rejected the democrat looking to fill “Teddy Kennedy’s seat” and elected Scott Brown, whose main selling point, to many, was he was a vote against ObamaCare!

So, unable to move forward, Obama and his minions in Congress looked to illegally use “reconciliation” over in the Senate, to shove this down America’s throat. Under this scenario, the House would have to vote on and pass the Senate bill, as is, send it back to the Senate, and the Senate would shove it through, and send it to Obama.

The Senate parliamentarian put up several road blocks to this, and a number of democrats in the House are now having serious issues, including federal funding of abortions, and well, the thought of using a questionable procedure to pass a wildly unpopular bill.

We wrote about Bart Stupak’s courageous stand. We also wrote that democrats were telling Stupak they wanted to fund abortions, and if they took funding out, more babies would be born, and it would cost the government more money! That is breathtakingly evil. You can read more here.

Now here’s where we are at. While reconciliation, for these purposes, is illegal, the democrats don’t care, and still want to use it. But to do it, the House has to pass the Senate Bill, as is, with abortion funding, and other unsavory items that many members of the House oppose. Now these members are being told “trust us, we’ll fix all of that later.” To their credit, they aren’t buying that load of manure. They will not vote for ObamaCare, and ObamaCare will not pass the House.

So, here’s the latest. As the House and Senate can make up their own rules, to a certain extent, the House has drafted a rule called, I kid you not, the “Slaughter Rule.” This rule basically says Speaker Pelosi can “deem” the legislation passed, without even having a vote! This, of course is dangerous, and in direct violation of the Constitution, not that these people care.

Every bill which shall have passed the House of Representatives and the Senate, shall, before it become a law, be presented to the President of the United States; if he approve he shall sign it, but if not he shall return it, with his objections to that House in which it shall have originated, who shall enter the objections at large on their journal, and proceed to reconsider it. If after such reconsideration two thirds of that House shall agree to pass the bill, it shall be sent, together with the objections, to the other House, by which it shall likewise be reconsidered, and if approved by two thirds of that House, it shall become a law. But in all such cases the votes of both Houses shall be determined by yeas and nays, and the names of the persons voting for and against the bill shall be entered on the journal of each House respectively. If any bill shall not be returned by the President within ten days (Sundays excepted) after it shall have been presented to him, the same shall be a law, in like manner as if he had signed it, unless the Congress by their adjournment prevent its return, in which case it shall not be a law.

Every order, resolution, or vote to which the concurrence of the Senate and House of Representatives may be necessary (except on a question of adjournment) shall be presented to the President of the United States; and before the same shall take effect, shall be approved by him, or being disapproved by him, shall be repassed by two thirds of the Senate and House of Representatives, according to the rules and limitations prescribed in the case of a bill.

—Article I Section 7 United States Constitution.

I shouldn’t have to explain just how dangerous this is to the Republic. This bit of tyranny along with the Senate’s new found love for “reconciliation” will forever change America. If the democrats pull this off, it’s over. There will be nothing to stop them from using it to pass anything. We will basically become a dictatorship, lead by the most maniacal psychopaths to ever hold office.

Sarah Palin has asked all Americans to stand strong against this great evil:

With a Stiff Spine America Must Stand Against Obamacare

If Senator Reid, Speaker Pelosi, and President Obama get their way, soon our country will be changed forever. Using every partisan parliamentary trick in the book (including some they invented just last week), Washington’s Left intends to ram through their takeover of our health care system regardless of the consequences.

The latest twists and turns in the Obamacare drama seem almost surreal. One minute the Democrat leadership is trying to amend a bill before the president has even signed it into law, and the next minute they’re trying to draft a new rule that will allow the House to “deem” a bill passed without actually voting on it! They’re determined to use the Senate reconciliation process as a parliamentary trick to bypass the regular voting procedure (and by the way, to add insult to injury, they’re now going to ram through federalization of America’s student loan industry with this same reconciliation vote). Is there any other wildly unpopular legislation they’d also like to sneak in? Perhaps the anti-energy-independence policy “Cap and Tax” (aka Cap and Trade) is next?

And make no mistake, the Obamacare bill is wildly unpopular. The Democrats’ own pollsters warn of an “unmitigated disaster” for them in November if they don’t abandon their plan and start over with real incremental health care reform. Incredibly, at this point, they don’t seem to care.

Speaker Pelosi thinks Congress must pass the bill so that the American people can then “find out what’s in it.” We know what’s in it. We don’t want it. The Democrats will take short-term electoral losses in exchange for long-term radical change of the United States of America. They assume we’ll come to accept this new intrusion of government once we’re stuck with it. That’s why we can’t concede this battle. Americans must stiffen our spines and stand against this action that violates the will of the people with centralized government mandates and crippling costs.

Republicans in Congress are holding the line, and some Democrats are standing with them. Rep. Bart Stupak (D-MI) said he won’t vote for the Senate bill if federal funding of abortion is included. Last Friday, he told National Review Online that some Democrats have told him that if abortions aren’t covered in Obamacare then “more children will be born, and therefore it will cost us millions more…Money is their hang-up. Is this how we now value life in America?

As I wrote in my first post on this topic, human rights and human dignity must be at the center of any health care discussion. Government health care will not reduce the cost of medical care; it will simply refuse to pay it. And who will get left behind when they have to ration care to save money?

Please ask yourself: who will be left behind? And who will decide – what kind of panel will decide – who receives the health care that government will obviously have to ration?

There’s a great deal of pressure being put on Stupak’s pro-life Democrats. They’re already dwindling in number. Their party is threatening them, and so are powerful SEIU labor union bosses.

The Democrats respecting the sanctity of life have every incentive to buckle under the pressure, so they need to know that we’ll support them if they do the right thing and vote no on Obamacare.

Please take the time to get involved in the debate this week. There are many grassroots efforts under way. There will be a march on Washington on Tuesday, March 16th. Rep. Michele Bachmann has a “Kill the Bill” online petition that you can sign here. Most importantly, contact members of Congress and offer your support if they do the right thing.

We know we’ll beat them at the ballot box, but we have to kill this bill before November. This is the final push. We must stand up and stand together one last time to insist on true market-oriented, patient-centered health care reform that reflects America’s values and the will of the people.

– Sarah Palin

For their part, democrat party leadership is working overtime to intimidate House members into submission. Congressman Chris Van Hollen, assistant to Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi sent out a memo warning members not to speak of their unconstitutional power grab.

Van Hollen shrugs this tyrannical behavior off as “inside baseball” and goes on to say: “People who try and start arguments about process on this are almost always against the actual policy substance too, often times for purely political reasons.”

Amazingly arrogant, amazingly evil.

Brad Darling over at Red State breaks this entire situation down very well in his must read piece, which you can do here.

Also from Red State, is almost an apocalyptic prediction should Congress continue on this path:

Now, let’s talk about consequences.

The American public was at first peeved about this government power grab, leading to wildly entertaining August recesses for congressional Democrats. As the Dems shoved non-matching bills through House and Senate, America got positively miffed. Witness McDonnell, Christie, and Brown.

Now America is flat irritated. And if the Dems try sporting this blatant middle finger at the Constitution and America, we will all see what happens when America is finally angry. Like Dan Perrin, I think Democrats will back down before doing this. But we’ve both underestimated their stupidity several times in this process. Nothing’s a safe bet anymore.

Before this, Democrats were already going to lose HUGE in November. There are more House Democrats retiring in “safe” districts than there are Cincinnati Bengals and Dallas Cowboys in prison. But if they try this stunt, the ensuing electoral revolt will be epic and irreversible, resulting in a Democrat Party crippled so irredeemably that I predict a new center-left party will emerge in the next 10 years, attempting to shed the stench of scandal and disrepute that will be permanently connected to the Democrats. Most likely the partisan press will accelerate their own death spiral as they are unwilling to speak ill of the Democrats.

But that is November. What will happen in March?

Six things I can think of, the first three within days. I couldn’t say what order, because things will move pretty quickly. So I list them how my mind sorts them.

1. The Supreme Court will strike it down within days.

I don’t remember which of the 3 authors I cited said this (or maybe I heard it on the radio), so I don’t know who to cite. But every American has standing here, due to the exceedingly far reach of the Health Care Takeover bill. Somebody will sue. I predict GOP members of Congress will, and it will go straight to the Supreme Court. They will strike down the whole caboodle, and they will do it almost immediately. Probably 6-3, with Breyer and Kennedy voting with the originalists. Their ruling is very likely to include language extremely damning of the behavior of Democrats.

2. Numerous states will declare statutorily under the 10th Amendment that this law will be unenforceable within their borders.

I’m guessing 20 states. The move has been afoot for awhile anyway, and this blatant flouting of the Constitution will trigger the America-loving, freedom-loving instincts into bold (if rash) action. And while they’re at it, they’re going to say the same thing about everything emanating from the EPA.

3. There will be public anti-government outrage so great that it will boil into violence.

I do not condone this; it will be ugly and more than a little scary. Lest I give anybody fresh ideas, I will not expound upon it other than to say it will be directed, not generalized — directed at objects, property, and symbols of government, not at people. Although those who voted for this Slaughter Rule would be wise to perhaps hang around in Washington for awhile.

4. (Even more) new candidates opposing incumbent Democrats will come out of the woodwork.

Many already have, but many good ones have considered, then declined. Many of those will change their minds, even in blue states. And new ones will pop up like dandelions. And a whole bunch of them will win. The leftist partisan national media currently think Republicans might, juuuuuuuust MIGHT, get 40 seats and the House back. Idiots. It was already going to be 80 and 8. But after this stunt, it might be 120 and 14. This is what happens when the entire center turns on a party.

5. State AGs will bring charges against sitting Congressmen for whatever they can plausibly pin on them.

Sedition is the actual crime (IMHO), and that’s a federal charge. But no USA will touch this, since they work for the president. Because members of Congress cannot be recalled, citizens will be thirsting for vengeance. Very loudly. State AG’s will be chomping at the bits to exact SOME form of payback, encouraged (or pushed) by their citizenry. Things like corruption, conspiracy, bribery, racketeering, tax fraud, and so on, will be easy indictments. As the last few months have shown, congressional Democrats have been so thoroughly corrupt for so long, nobody will even have to trump up anything.

6. Republicans will shut down business in Congress until January 5.

Then it will REALLY get fun.

Democrats will lose the country days after they pull the Slaughter Rule. They’ll have their illegal law both flouted and overruled, their members will be subject to investigations and indictments, and not a single item of interest will be signed into law, nor will any appointment be approved, before January 5, when a hundred or more of them leave Washington for good.

You can read all of this great analysis here.

I know, at this point, you are asking yourself why Obama, Pelosi, and Reid will risk it all to pass this wildly unpoular bill. Why are these loons willing to not only risk the ire of the Supreme Court, but possible violence from the American people, and maybe even civil war?

BTW, never forget our founding fathers fought a revolution, against the most powerful nation on earth, over this sort of nonsense.

Back in 1961 Ronald Reagan reminded us what it is all about. Progressives have been trying to pass some sort of government run health care into law for 100 years. The reason being, once passed, government gains complete and total control over the lives of it’s citizens.

This is something progressives desperately desire. These egomaniacal loons honestly believe they are smarter than you are, and know far better what is good for you, than you do. They sincerely believe you are too stupid to function on your own, and they must guide your every action with a command and control type of government, that literally plays a role in every action you may take.

Think about all of the insane rules that have been enacted, for your own good, and how many more these evil people wish to enact. It will all be possible if they get their foot in the door through ObamaCare, especially if they get away with this coup d’état they are now attempting.

I leave you with these words of wisdom from the great Renaldus Magnus:

Sarah Palin Headlines The Showdown In Searchlight To Defeat Harry Reid

Sarah Palin is headlining a major Tea Party event in Searchlight, Nevada on March 27.

Searchlight, of course, is the hometown of the corrupt Senate Majority Leader, Harry Reid. Reid is one of many old guard, corrupt democrats being targeted for defeat come November. One by one the American people will defeat these evil progressives, send them packing, as we take our government back.

I heartily recommend everyone brew up a big pot of tea on the 27th and head to Searchlight, if not in person, at least in spirit!

Sarah Palin Rips Into Congress Over War Tax

Of all of the insanity that has come out of our current democrat/communist congress, this has to really take the cake. These dangerous loons have been spending us into oblivion for quite some time. The spending has been beyond irresponsible, it borders on treason.

This is a bi-partisan effort, by the way. Both parties are out of control, but the democrat/communist party is now out there where the busses don’t run.

We all know the far left loons that infect Congress, and the nation as a whole, hate our military, despise it, actually. The left’s contempt for our military is palpable, has been forever. Now they are really letting it all hang out, going for broke.

Congress is now saying they want to add a “war surtax” to everyone’s tax bill to pay for our national security. They are now whining that the cost of war is hurting their march toward turning America into a communist hell hole.

In a bit of political grandstanding Congressman David Obey (D/C-Wisc.), the chairman of the House Appropriations Committee, warned that if President Barack Obama decides to send additional troops to Afghanistan, it should be funded with the new tax.

Don’t you just love how democrat/communists want to tax EVERYTHING?

Obie went on to say this:

“If we don’t pay for it, then the cost of the Afghan war will wipe out every other initiative that we have to try to rebuild our own economy,” he said. “I’m going to be fighting to get whatever they do paid for.”

That’s pretty rich! Just what are they doing to rebuild our economy? I see nothing.

Sarah weighed in on this last night:

Congress Never Ceases to Amaze

Really? A tax on national defense? I hear liberal Congressional proposals and I, like most Americans, wonder if they’re serious. We’re going to put a price tag on security?

With Congress and President Obama spending money on everything at breakneck speed, it’s interesting that they are only now getting nervous about spending – but only when it comes to providing the necessary funds to complete our mission in Afghanistan. They don’t need a new “war tax” to fund a strategy for victory in the war zone. They simply need to prioritize our money appropriately.

I find it telling that the Pelosi-Reid Congress is only cost-conscious when it comes to our national defense. Scary. Nonsensical. Unacceptable.

– Sarah Palin

I know most in Congress these days have either never read the Constitution, or have chose to ignore it, but the American people haven’t. Having read our Constitution front to back, I can tell you that as far as spending, and responsibilities go, national defense and funding for it, is talked about frequently. In fact, it’s one of the few responsibilities of the federal government that is actually, and explicitly, spelled out!

In other words, constitutionally, Congress has no authority to do things like take over our health care, private businesses, or even schools, but they are directed to defend the nation and the Constitution.

So here is where we are at. We have a Congress that is trying to fundamentally change America, take her in a direction that an overwhelming number of Americans, a super majority, do not want to go.

Congress has spent more money since Barack Obama has been in office than was spent in the previous 233 years of our nation’s existence, combined. From George Washington, to George W Bush, Obama and his thug Congress has spent more than all of the other 43 Presidents, combined.

And yet, with all of the trillions of dollars spent on social engineering, and “change,” these evil little devils can’t seem to find the money to pay for the ONE THING they are actually REQUIRED to pay for constitutionally!

I think it’s well past the time we continue to give these people the benefit of the doubt. Congress is out of control, and their refusal to listen to the American people is bordering on treason. We must hold these thieves, these scoundrels, accountable.

We must stop Congress from throwing our money away on social engineering and programs like their so-called “heath care reform” that will collapse our economy and send America into bankruptcy. We must demand that Congress stop spending and start cutting the fat.

Sarah speaks more about these issues and other issues regarding Barack Obama’s inability to take care of our troops, and perform his duties as Commander-in-Chief to our armed forces in an interview with Greta. There is some serious red meat here, well worth watching every segment:
