God Bless Michelle Malkin For Saying What Needed To Be Said About Scott Walker

Governors

By Gary P Jackson

Conservatives thirst for a leader, someone they can rally around. Lacking a real leader, they manage to latch on to every “flavor of the month” that comes along, no matter how far from being an actual Conservative their latest heartthrob may actually be. And if the lamestream media attacks their latest love interest, oh boy, they cling to him even harder! It’s become very knee-jerk, with these Conservatives taking a media attack on their new love, as absolute proof that person is “THE ONE!” [The old adage “they attack who they fear the most” ~ which isn’t always true]

I like the fact that Scott Walker has taken on the violent Union Thugs™ in Wisconsin. I like that Wisconsin is now a Right-to-Work state. But fighting billion dollar unions isn’t a Conservative thing, it’s simply a human rights thing.

The fact is, on the issues that matter most to Conservatives: stopping amnesty for illegal aliens and reforming education, Scott Walker sucks!

Scott Walker has been OFFICIALLY pushing amnesty for these criminal invaders for over a decade. And by “officially” I mean in his capacity as an elected official. As I have stated many times, amnesty for tens of millions of illegal aliens is an act of TREASON against the United States and the American people. PERIOD.

Walker claims to have “shifted” his position on amnesty, but if you read his statement he only disagrees with HOW Obama is handling amnesty, not amnesty itself. Like all “progressive” Republicans, it’s not about actually stopping an evil deed, but simply claiming they can manage that evil better than the other guys.

Walker is also on the wrong side of the Common Core debate. He is all for the nationalization of schools that first began under Jimmy Carter. [and Ronald Reagan had promised to end] We’ve seen the quality of education fall off the proverbial cliff since Washington, and not local school boards, have been in control of education. It’s one of the greatest evils the federal government has ever done to the American people.

Recently in Iowa, Walker showed he is also subservient to Big Ethanol, another great evil the government has created. I could go on for days about the evils of ethanol, and the cost of taxpayer subsidies, but if you are reading this, you already know what an evil scheme ethanol is, and the damage it’s done to the environment as well as our national fleet.

We love Michelle Malkin because of her no-bullshit attitude. She never puts party over principle. She is a fearless warrior, which is what we need if America is to survive. In an exclusive interview with Breitbart’s Matthew Boyle, Malkin reminds readers that on every issue we, as conservatives, care about, Scott Walker is in lock-step with Jeb Bush and other left-wing Republican scum-bags.

From the article:

Nationally syndicated conservative columnist Michelle Malkin, founder of the website Twitchy, tells Breitbart News that Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker—a potential 2016 GOP presidential candidate—needs to be vetted. She also says Walker’s “problems” run much deeper than the decision to hire—then quickly let go of—pro-amnesty communications aide Liz Mair, who had taken shots at Iowa.

Scott Walker has much bigger problems than the ill-considered hiring and firing of one D.C. operative,” Malkin said in an email:

What does he really stand for and is he fully equipped to bear the slings and arrows of his enemies on a national and global scale? Yes, he fought Big Labor and has managed his state well. But grass-roots activists in his state have long been warning me of his ideological gymnastics on core issues: immigration and education.

He has been on the same side as the progressive Left and the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Right: pro-amnesty, pro-massive legal immigration expansionist, and pro-Common Core. He’s been left, right, center, and all over the map.

She added that Washington-based GOP establishment forces are good at backing up establishment politicians, as they seemed to have tried to do to defend Walker and Mair.

The D.C. consultant class and Capitol Hill GOP operators are adept at swooping in to ‘rescue’ the campaigns of neophytes and molding them into Beltway barnacle tools,” Malkin said. “They did it with Spencer Abraham and Marco Rubio and Paul Ryan. Face it: Many of the D.C. messaging ‘experts’ and ‘communicators’ DO have their own policy agenda and it is naive or stupid to believe they have no sway or influence on ambitious, outside the Beltway seekers of higher public office with no fixed principles.”

Malkin also stood up for the few reporters willing to pressure Walker to answer legitimate questions about Mair, and about his positions on issues like immigration and education.

I believe conservative journalists should not be mocked for asking GOP candidates or their staffers unorthodox, ‘rude,’ and uncomfortable questions,” Malkin said. “That’s called vetting.

This is a great article and a must read. There is much more here.

We thank Matthew Boyle, as well as Michelle Malkin, for standing up to those who are trying to pull one over on actual Conservatives who care about our nation. We MUST vet everyone who we consider for election to ANY office. This is something Sarah Palin has been preaching for years! Blindly following anyone who remotely sounds “conservative” is idiotic, as is following the crowd.

Michelle tweeted this a few days ago to drive that point home:

I absolutely agree with her! Groupthink is dangerous. Fuck groupthink!

As Conservatives, we’re supposed to have the intelligence to look past the bullshit and hype and figure things out. Let the other guys be sheep and play “follow the leader“!

The real and honest truth is, as Conservatives, we really don’t have a champion going into 2016. There truly is no one on the so-called “deep bench” of candidates that are champions of not only Conservatism, but Liberty and Freedom as well.

We are screwed, well and good.

And don’t give me, or anyone else, any of that “Reagan’s 11th Commandment” bullshit. Ronald Reagan famously ripped on Republicans who cared more about power than the American people. He ripped left wing Republicans a new one. And yes, I KNOW Reagan said that someone who agrees with you 80% isn’t 20% your enemy, and I agree with that. BUT when the 80% we agree on is inconsequential, and the 20% will destroy the very fabric of our society, then yes, that person is not just 20% my enemy, he [or she] is 100% my enemy.

Compromise is NOT a dirty word, and frankly, I think if we got partisan politics [and groupthink] out of the picture MORE than 80% of the nation [the entire nation] could sit down and agree on almost everything. BUT, there are some things that are not negotiable. One simply cannot compromise on core principles. If you are ready to throw away your core principles in the name of compromise, you are no better, and maybe even worse, than those who, if left unchecked, would destroy civilization, forthwith.

It’s funny, you NEVER see a democrat stray from their core principles, as evil as they may be, EVER. In fact, among democrats groupthink is mandatory and independent thought discouraged, and often punished.

I’m very disappointed that Scott Walker isn’t the “conservative savior” so many want him to be, but life’s hard. I suggest you wear a helmet!

Scott Walker, if elected president, would be an unmitigated disaster, just as would Jeb Bush, Rick Perry, or any of the other corrupt, pro-amnesty, Big Government crapweasels. If you are for amnesty, you are an enemy of the American people. Period.

2016 is going to be a tough election. The Republican Party “leadership” has been stabbing the American people, who gave them an unprecedented mandate to stop Obama, in the back [and the front] If we don’t get control of the party, and find a Pro-AMERICAN candidate, we’ll not only lose the White House, but Congress as well. And as evil as Barack Obama is, and as much irreversible damage as he has done, any democrat who would replace him, WILL be worse.

Vet every candidate, then re-vet them. Don’t be a sheep. The life of our nation is at stake. Act like it!

“Sarah Palin to Values Voters: Stand Up Stiffen Your Spine; Best is Yet to Come.”

Values Voters

By Isabel Matos

This is an excerpt from a great write-up by Breitbart News writer, Kevin Scholla, Sarah Palin to Values Voters:  Stand Up and Stiffen Your Spine; the Best is Yet to Come” published on September 28, 2014:

“It truly is an honor to get to be here with all of you, and I just want to take some time here to thank you for your boldness, your courage, your ignoring of what the lamestream media does to you and a lot of us so often,” said Palin. “You’re strong and America needs you, needs your voice. So, to just get to kind of share some of that, to empower us all and inspire us all, to enlarge our ranks, I want to take the time to thank you.”

She said it was an honor to speak “to Americans who give more and volunteer more and serve more and do all those things behind the scenes that make America so exceptional.”

“You’re the Americans that the media loves to hate, but, you know, I think there – there’s a book out there that maybe some of them just haven’t really understood and in it, it says, consider it pure joy, my sisters and brothers, when you suffer trials of many kinds,” she said. “And considering the trials that the media dumps on you, this is the most joyful room in Washington.”

The speech closed with a glass half-full take delivered in plain speak. “Keep faith in the American Dream and share it, because the message resonates, and it has since that band of brothers dumped tea in Boston Harbor,” Palin said. “We can be optimistic, as they were. We can be optimistic about the future of our one nation because we’re under God. So stand up and stiffen your spine. The best is yet to come.”

He continues..

The audience clearly enjoyed Palin’s style. Joking about very serious issues to drive home vital points. That’s exactly what makes Palin Palin. In a day and age when we are inundated with teleprompter-reading academic milquetoasts, Palin’s brand of populism is a welcome relief.

As she always does in her speeches, Palin tipped her hat to our military. She also tied that into another disrespectful move by Obama. Recently a photo was taken of the president saluting one of our Marines while holding a Styrofoam cup. Mama grizzlies don’t like that. “Our honored military — when we talk about these national security issues, our honored military, on behalf of all Americans who do support you — and we honor you, we respect you — on behalf of all Americans who feel like I do, to your commander-in-chief, well, we then will salute him,” said Palin. “He still hasn’t learned how to salute our Marines.”

A core message in Palin’s comments was a call to stand up for morals and American beliefs. “It is time for the politics of values,” Palin said. “And I don’t want anybody to be afraid or ashamed of the core values that we are here celebrating.”After all of the hits Palin has taken over the years she still can knock lines like this out of the park with a huge smile on her face. It drives liberals nuts. It delighted those at the summit on Friday.

Palin called out liberals for their tactics of hate. She called those who question why she sometimes doesn’t wear a wedding ring “haters” and intolerant.” We all know media members and politicians engage in these gutter tactics. Few however have the guts to call them out so explicitly like Palin does….

He concludes..

Palin finished on a powerful note. “Don’t be ashamed to proclaim your values and to live them,” said Palin. “We are the movement that says yes — yes to time-tested truths, great virtues, great values. And approaching elections, we’re going to support great leaders that are hammering out and working so hard at that restoration agenda to break this country again from a failed liberal agenda — defeating crony capitalism and respecting and supporting, again, our armed forces so that we may have peace — peace through red, white and blue strength — and to value the sanctity of innocent life, where children are not seen as disposable and babies as punishment as our own president referred to — now, children are the best ingredients in this messed up world. Why in the world would you want to get rid of them? So we’ll support leaders who are not afraid of truth, and we’ll fight for it as ones worthy of a great nation.”

During the speech, Palin inadvertently referred to the White House address as 1400 Pennsylvania Avenue instead of 1600. Despite all of the important fact-filled components of her remarks the media blew that minor faux pas up, passing over her message of hope and traditional values to try to once again slam their favorite Alaskan target.

The response from Palin was perfect. She tweeted shortly after the speech “Doggone it! That explains why my Christmas cards keeps getting returned!”  To read the rest of article, go here.

That was what our conservative values warrior said in her Speech. The attempt by the media to exaggerate the importance of her mistake is appalling. Mark Levin slams national Media for Mocking Palin gaffe.  Think about all the back-to-back interviews, speeches, appearances at rallies, book signings, and other predictions of course which she has talked and written about. Think of all the great pieces on her timeline and articles she has written to wake voters up as to what is happening in Washington. Each one is only topped by the next.  Sarah Palin also has a new channel (not an inexpensive venture) so she can be available to her supporters. But Mum is the Media word on that, Impeaching the lawless President, and all the above.

Sarah Palin is tireless. We know hard she has worked. I was just heartsick how one little instant as opposed to the sheer volume of her active engagements and her courage in taking on the president and the GOPe.  It will be used to embarrass her in the future. (Fox had better not go there. Fox Nation did take Tony Lee’s article: Sarah Palin Goes Rogue on Pennsylvania Ave and published it on their site. I suspect the worst (for political expediency later on).

It is those who are unworthy who are glued to the set, FB or near her home just waiting to see her slip (even fall).  I felt badly because she has worked so hard and because they will hang to something as irrelevant as this to spread a depiction the does do damage.  The fact is, she has succeeded at proving the media wrong, even under all the scrutiny she has been under, time and again. And she handled this latest beautifully. It’s time to move on. Again.

One should never judge a person by how they fall, but by how they pick themselves up from the fall.  She’s proven to be a leader for that alone. It takes character to do what she does every day.  She is real. People love that. Just to make the point, Gov. Palin asks NOT to have teleprompters at her speeches.

No teleprompters!  Just think how anyone else would fare without them? It shows her confidence as a competent, impressive and compelling speaker.

So where are the potential 2016 candidates. Are they calling attention to this country’s issues or Obama? Where IS Jeb Bush? He does not chime in on much.  He doesn’t take media hits for taking risks by going against Obama like Sarah does.  So he is the perfect candidate? For the media, yes. To fail.  What to do know about Jeb Bush? He is for acts of love, but what else? What does he spend all his time doing.. Fundraising? Plotting? Can we know?!

Well, here’s an update (9/29/2014) on what he plans to run on: Common Core and Acts of Love.  You heard me. That’s it, voters. Bring it, Jeb!

I Have NO Words.. LaRaza Praises Representatives Who Stood With Dreamers and Two of Them Are Mine!

paul ryanla raza praise

By Isabel Matos

Update April 23 2:21 pm. It is no secret. I am livid. I couldn’t help but be alarmed by the fact that my representatives are supposed to be anti-communist and yet, are pushing Amnesty. They are calling it Immigration Reform as you will see by linking to Tony Lee’s article to what Rep. Ros-Lehtinen said to Jose Diaz-Balart. You would think THEY (not me) would have access to simple information that can be found online. That is in part what this is about. Anyone can do a little homework. They could and should know this but they ignore it.

I am not here to make a dissertation on Communist Infiltration. I am here to make a statement about the ABUSE by the GOPe using my representatives to push their agenda which is a COMMUNIST PARTY USA agenda. I want to make sure that it is clear, too, that special interests wrote S.744 last year. I hope journalists with more resources look into this in more depth: the names of the (specific) companies and/or organizations that have been behind these bills because they are most likely writing what our representatives are so busy pushing.  Thank you for reading and viewing.  The support is much appreciated.

I am truly at a loss for words. I can’t express how low the GOPe has stooped or how utterly embarrassed and saddened I am by this latest, most stunning development regarding amnesty. It hits so close to home that it defies all logic for me. For two anti-communist representatives to be sharing goals with LaRaza in the push for amnesty shows just how much the situation has deteriorated and how out of control the establishment is in using our community leaders to push this idiotic agenda, how out of touch and untouchable our representatives have become, and how they’ve kept this dirty secret from voters. It has gone far enough. They’ve been used and pampered to no end, to help the GOPe.

I hope you view the clip from last year where I appealed to my representatives to not support amnesty. I hope you know I’ve done all I could to stop them. I cannot stand by and watch any longer, but I don’t know what else can effect change at this point.  It’s time to expose their increasingly traitorous actions to this country by pushing amnesty, and for our cause for freedom which is considered sacred. Never in a million years would I have imagined this would happen.

Pushing Amnesty for Republicans is a delusional goal. It is ill-advised (which makes you wonder where are they getting their information from). It helps the left. This latest is a mockery of the dreams of many legal immigrants who they are supposed to represent.  Many came to this country to escape big government, ironically the same one they are helping to create, wittingly or not.

Their daily focus is to pander to the special needs of illegals, that is how out of touch they are. And as their status in the party grows, they forget why they entered public service in the first place. I have described Rhinos with an H before and the two mentioned below may be turning into political animals themselves. They are leaving their humanity behind because they are abandoning their principles. Their live for their next perk, committee position or television appearance. (Now can you understand why I HATE THE GOPe?! It has taken good people and corrupted them.) So they’re living the high life but it’s an illusion because they have become like beasts reducing themselves to exist solely for their next “meal”. They don’t care about morals or principles.

Party on! “Que Viva la Pepa!”

Who cares about the folks? It’s time to mingle with our enemies. How base and undignified. It has gone on long enough. It doesn’t matter if any of you are losing your souls in the process anymore. This  exceptional country matters more. In the end my words were just physical disgust turned inside out spilled on a page.

He’s been working hard. Awww..

In a Breitbart Article on August 11th, Tony Lee reported:

One of the 11 House Republicans La Raza praised for not voting to end President Barack Obama’s temporary amnesty program for illegal immigrants revealed that Rep. Paul Ryan has been working “every day” behind the scenes on an amnesty bill.

In a Friday appearance on MSNBC’s Jose Diaz-Balart, Rep. Ileana Ros-Lehtinen (R-FL) predicted that Congress is “going to be passing an immigration bill” in the future, “thanks to your brother, Mario Diaz-Balart.”

“Mario and Paul Ryan and good leaders are working every day toward that, and we hope that it will happen,” she said.

Ros-Lehtinen and other members of the GOP earned La Raza’s praise for voting against the border bill that would have denied Obama the right to use federal funds to implement temporary amnesty.

Rep. Mario Diaz-Balart (R-FL), whom Ros-Lehtinen referenced, was reportedly “ready to announce to House leaders that a majority of House Republicans supported his immigration reform bill,” and secured “soft commitments from at least 120 Republicans.” Ryan was reportedly working with Diaz-Balart to get support for his bill, which would have allowed Republicans to bring it to the floor and then vote against it, enabling it to pass with Democrat support.

After House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-VA) was ousted because of his support for amnesty, House Speaker John Boehner (R-OH) told President Obama that he would not bring up an immigration bill in the House this year. Though Boehner said he wanted to get an amnesty bill through in the next Congress, Diaz-Balart asked House leaders to give his bill one more chance this year before being denied.

“I’m seriously disappointed,” Diaz-Balart said then. “We have a historic opportunity to fix a system everyone knows is broken. We’re squandering that opportunity. The bottom line is we have a bill that is ready to go. We had bipartisan support. And yet I’ve been told we’re not going to move forward this year.”  END OF ARTICLE.

********

I had been keeping these pictures handy for a while and it’s time to start taking the gloves off and exposing what has been going on for years.

This is one race I can’t wait to see the results! There has been more primary excitement in NORTH CAROLINA than OHIO or INDIANA combined!  A huge intra-party feud has been playing itself out for 15 months now. First is the Establishment candidate, Thom Tillis, speaker of the North Carolina House. Tillis is backed by Rove (of course), the Chamber of Commerce, Mitch McConnell, Jeb Bush and Mitt Romney who just endorsed him yesterday.

The second challenger in the race is a pro-life candidate appealing to Evangelicals, Mark Harris. He is a preacher and is backed by “enemy” Mike Huckabee, according to those on the ground. Kristen Petersen, tea party activist who has been in full campaign mode from day one, reports:

This is another example of the GOP establishment putting out fake Tea Party Conservative candidates to peel away votes from those that are true conservatives.  She cites the Southern Baptist’s preference for immigration restitutions (code for amnesty) even though the pastor won’t use the term (typical).  What he said.

huckabee and sarah

Huckabee recorded a robo-call on behaloof of Harris that went out to 300,00 registered Republicans between Saturday to Monday

Huckabee has inserted himself twice now in races in which Sarah Palin endorsed a candidate. (He is no friend of Sarah’s). In Oklahoma he endorsed Jack Lanford, T.W. Shannon’s opponent. In Florida he and Jeb Bush both endorsed Lizbeth Benacquisto in the last days to perpetuate the false impression that she was the establishment candidate. It gets complicated, but let’s just say Huckabee’s endorsements are a nuisance in any primary and this is how the Establishment rolls.

We have three candidates but two factions within the party (Paul vs. Bush) fighting for control of the GOP and this won’t be the first race we will see it happen in. 1

The Libertarian Conservative favored by the grassroots in N.C. is Dr. Greg Brannon “the best option to defeat Kay Hagan” as Democrats want Tillis (Rove’s choice) to be Hagan’s opponent.

This is Dr. Greg Brannon:

Husband of 25 years, Father of 7, Physician to 20,000 &

North Carolina’s Constitutional Conservative Candidate for U.S. Senate. www.GregBrannon.com

dr greg brannon

The winning candidate must have 40 percent of the votes to avoid a run-off. Rand Paul made a last-minute campaign trail stop on Monday which could determine the results of the race.

Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul rallied for Brannon Monday in Charlotte: “‘The status quo has gotten too strong in Washington, D.C. The Leviathan has gotten too large. … As we stand here, the debt clock is spiraling out of control. Send us a champion. Send us a hero. Send us a dragon slayer,’ Paul said, speaking prior to Brannon in front of a cheering crowd of about 250 outside the NASCAR Hall of Fame in Uptown Charlotte on Monday.”  Paul Rand, Greg Brannon

A run-off would delay challenging Democrat Kay Hagan who said: kay hagan

Mike Lee has endorsed Dr. Brannon.

greg brannon

FreedomWorks has endorsed Dr. Brannon.

Mark Levin has endorsed Dr. Brannon.

Laura Ingraham and Ann Coulter joined the list of endorsements today.

From Defending Jeb’s “Act of Love” to a Beer Summit with Chris Christie ~ Rand Paul Sure Is Schmoozing Our Enemies

Jeb Bush defends his remarks about illegality being an act of love. That’s not news to us that he would make a headline over yet another stupid remark:

BUT DONT BLAME ME IF I share that Rand Paul defends him

Or that he wants a Beer Summit with Chris Christie (first 35 seconds of the clip)

So Jeb Bush Thinks We Need to “Embrace Amnesty”, Eh?

Cant stand this

by Isabel Matos

It is high time to kick your ass!!” is what Lisa Luerssen responded when she saw this. Many anti-establishment activists I know would agree. It seems like the only thing Republicans are embracing is the left’s agenda.  I’m so over them already!

For someone to talk about this while people are with their families celebrating Christmas is the typical progressive way to spend the “holiday”. ( Jeb seems like the Happy Holidays, generic type, too, doesn’t he?!)  Anyway, remember when ObamaCare was being passed? Jim DeMint stayed in Washington instead of with his family on Christmas Eve, 2009, just in case anyone tried to pull anything while we slept or spent time with our families. Nothing happened but the fact that it was attempted was to remind us who was in control.

It’s (like) psychological warfare.  Jeb’s attention, instead of being AWAY from politics, is ON politics during Christmas. I resent it.  It’s Government 24/7. You can’t sleep or celebrate without worrying about the government pulling a fast one behind your back, but it’s a reality. I also resent Paul Ryan as much as Jeb Bush now.  The GOPe has become as insufferable as Obama and the left.  The far left.

This IS Christmas. The passion one has for politics has to come second to our passion and love for the Lord.  Jeb is not only vacant  politically (you can see the dumb look and absent stare on his face in most pictures), he could be vacant morally, too. Nothing he says rings true. He inherited a tin ear from his dad.  Here’s the proof:  this article will probably attract as many readers as there are hours left in 2013 (if I’m lucky).  What happens is Jeb Bush is like the kiss of death. He turns people OFF and AWAY.  He is the one who needs to go away and I think he knows it.  When we have a chance to listen to him we don’t, so he talks to us when we can’t – when we’re on holiday.  Psychologically he needs to justify his existence in politics because he is practically irrelevant.

Contrast his contribution to politics to Sarah Palin’s and you have tones of grey vs. bold colors which is what our party would be like under her leadership.  Jeb is clueless. He is a Rino. All RINOS are. Here is a wonderful piece (of mind) from my colleague, Wayne Mazza.
Rino

By Wayne Mazza

Jebby, would you just STHU!!!

Its not enough the do nothing Republican Leadership has caved on every thing that would bring relief to the American people.

Its not enough that our economic growth is non existant through not just the Democrats, but the RNC Leadership…

Its not enough that illegal immigrants live better in this country than its own citizens.

Its not enough that illegal immigrants have better health care than our citizens

Its not enough that illegal immigrants are protected from arrest in santuary cities

Its not enough that illegal immigrants are robbing, raping, and killing our citizens.

Its not enough that our RNC leadership has no will to finish building the fence on our border.

Its not enough that these parasites are draining the lifeblood resources from our citizens.

Its not enough that these illegal immigrants wave Mexican flags at protests.

Its not enough that illegal immigrants children born here are given American citizenship at our expense.

Only in Government can poor leadership that costs the country billions of dollars in wasteful spending, bad decision after bad decision, and absolutely no accountability for their actions stay in their positions.

If these ass clowns, Obama, Reid, Pelosi, McConnell, and Boehner were in the private sector, they all would have been fired within a year. More likely less than 6 months.

This bunch of poor excuses for leaders are trying to put out a fire with gasoline. Yeah, its that bad!!!

We republicans should get rid of any leadership that is up for reelection in our party. Primary every one of them.

I would vote for a dog before I would vote for any of them.

And Jeb Bush wants to talk about amnesty. Remember when this ass clown runs for president in 2016!!!

Mark Levin and Heather MacDonald Dismantle Jeb Bush’s Immigration Talking Points

Immigration-reform-rally-620x413

Mark Levin was Ed Meese’s Chief of Staff within Ronald Reagan’s administration.  Recently he offered having a debate on “Immigration Reform” (we all know it’s Amnesty!) with Heather Mac Donald and Ed Meese. Even though the debate was not held, I hope some of the answers she  provides help you argue against Amnesty with your Representatives.  (I know it’s against all hope, but we must call them!)  Heather Lynn Mac Donald, of the Manhattan Institute, is an expert on Immigration Reform. She was on Mark’s show to rebut what Jeb Bush had said at the Faith and Freedom Coalition, on June 22nd. She and Mark both dismantle the ignorant comments Jeb made.

(1)

Jeb Bush says..

The only way that we can rebuild the demographic pyramid is to fix a broken immigration system to allow for people to come, to learn English, to play by our rules, to embrace our values, and to pursue their dreams in our country with a vengeance to create more opportunities for all of us. This is a conservative idea.  And if we do this, we will rebuild our country in a way that will allow us to grow. If we don’t do it, we will be in decline because the productivity of this country is dependent upon young people that are equipped to work hard.”

Heather: I particularly love theplaying by our rules“. They come here by not playing by our rules The most amazing thing about this amnesty bill will allow people with criminal records and with a number of arrests and misdemeanor convictions to get amnesty, people Karl Rove refers to of strong, proven moral character. So we have an utter attack on the Rule of Law. What no one is talking about is that we already have already discredited enforcement.

Every immigration hearing at this point has protestors in the back with signs saying no more deportation. Even if we give them this amnesty, the next day, a border agent or someone from ICE who ensures this country, finds someone here illegally, deportation is not going to happen.

That other comment is absurd. Nothing in this bill requires the actual acquisition of English. It’s merely an intent to lure the crowd. What we’re already seeing absent in the group of another 30 million immigrants in the future of this bill, is an utter failure of people to adopt our common language.

Take Marco Rubio, for example, who went behind American’s backs in the Spanish Language Media, saying one thing in Spanish to the Spanish-speaking audience, that legalization comes first, before enforcement, the opposite message of what he had been saying to the English-speaking audiences. I find it a shocking betrayal and a sign of why we should worry about the fact that people are not learning English.

She ends the segment by saying Senator Sessions did an extraordinary job, and Senator Grassley to an extent, offering amendments after amendments, but that the bottom line is measurable success to secure the border, not just plans to secure the border. “It has been shown to be a complete fraud.”

Jeb Bush says..

“Immigrants created far more businesses than native-born Americans over the last twenty years.  Immigrants are more fertile and they love families and they have more tight families, and they bring in a younger population.”

Heather: That is a lie! There is no difference at all in the business creation rates between immigrants and native Americans.

What Bush and everybody else does constantly is conflate high-skilled and low-skilled immigrants, and among the low-skilled Hispanic immigrants, they ignore cultural differences. I’m reluctant to bring it on air, but it is true. There is a culture confrontation among South American immigrants, and those from Mexico and Central America. I spoke to a lot of Hispanic Entrepreneurs for an article I wrote recently about California, and I wanted to give the best possible picture of Californian Hispanic Entrepreneurs, and I went to a Democratic Latino pollster and said give me the best people I can talk to, to give the positive side of the story, and I did. They were all Columbians, Ecuadorians, Cubans and Spaniards who had come. One woman from Ecuador who runs a publishing business she says her own work place is divided.

The idea that an overall group has a greater rate of business creation is wrong. It ignores the differences among immigrant groups, high-skilled immigrants. Everybody talks about Sergey Brin. That’s a different matter than somebody who’s come in. (Mark interrupts to find out who he is.)

Sergey Brin gave us some of our greatest computer innovations, and is involved in Google, and everybody points to him, but he came in with a high levels of education. Very few people are opposing high-skilled immigrants who do have very high rates of business creation, but that’s not what this bill is about.

It would have been another thing if Jeb Bush had followed through on the recommendations of his book which is to tilt the immigration towards a high-skilled immigration then we’ve lost on that count, we’ve run out on those kinds of advocates, and we’ve preserved our system of mostly family-based immigration, chain migration, which is going to bring in more of the low-skilled population.

Mark: This is what also bothers me about his statement. They characterize foreigners who come here illegally as virtuous, as noble, as entrepreneurs, and they put down the native population, the very people who put them in office, the very people that government exists to defend and nurture. So the American people are treated like second-class citizens, and it is the immigrant, the illegal immigrant, who is so much better.

Poverty rates

Heather:  Among Hispanics, it’s twice as high. This is now native-born Hispanics. Second, third generation Hispanics have a much higher rate of Welfare consumption, not because they are not working. They are in the work force, most of them, but because their skill level is so low.

Mark interjects to look who is coming across the border – not rocket scientists or engineers – it’s poor people escaping the cronyism and what goes on in the Mexican government. So of course, they’re poor, they’re less skilled.  They’re less literate. That’s your point.

Heather:  The rate of welfare and poverty actually goes up with second, third generation Hispanics in this country, which is extremely odd, and just another sign that what is happening is a certain rate of assimilation to an underclass. The argument that we also hear from Jeb Bush and Rubio is that it will have a wonderful effect on bailing out our bankrupt entitlement programs, because they’re going to pay taxes, but they’re not paid in taxes enough to compensate for the cost of education and health care, and other programs.

Mark: None of us have enough money to pay for this massive implosion of a welfare state. Let’s slash these programs instead!

Amnesty

MarkPaul Ryan is saying (talking point) “This isn’t Amnesty.  Amnesty wipes the slate clean.” Mark says Amnesty (to him) is you’re here illegally and now you’re legal!

Heather:  That is exactly what is does. Amnesty does wipe the slate clean. The fact that you have to pay a minimum fine of $500 to get immediately legalized after this bill is passed, doesn’t make it not an amnesty. The point of an amnesty is you’re no longer illegal. So we have tax amnesty, too, that usually requires a back payment of taxes that we consider an amnesty, because your status as a tax lawbreaker, is canceled. So that is a basic fact, but beyond that, if you want to quibble about the details, the law is filled of loopholes of how you can get away from paying a minimum amount of fines whether imposed, and the notion that the illegal aliens are going to pay their back taxes, that doesn’t make it not an amnesty. That’s incorrect.

There’s no obligation requiring the illegal aliens to come forward and honor how much taxes they have to pay. That’s not going to happen. In any case, what it gets the people here exactly is what they want, which is fully legal status.I’m amazed that Republicans aren’t fighting harder, and see that just because there’s a few hurdles which are trivial, does not make it not an amnesty.

(3)

Jeb Bush says…

3.  “Canada is the place we might want to look to. Canada has one tenth our population. They have more “economic immigrants” and they have seen sustained economic growth because of it. We should…”

Heather: I’m amazed that Jeb Bush has the gall to bring up Canada, because Canada is looking at high-skilled immigrants. Canada uses skills as a point system, so if you speak English, you get in, if you have Advanced Education, you get in. That would be a proposal the Republicans could get behind.

But in Canada they don’t have what we have – a mass flow of uneducated immigrants, who may mean well, but I would invite Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio to go in to the middle schools in Los Angeles to see single mothers coming in to talk with the anti-gang counselors of the school to try to figure out how to keep their teen males out of gang culture, and stop hanging on the streets of Los Angeles, because these mothers who are single mothers who have also, while we’re at it, Mark, deceived the Hispanic “family values” myth.

Hispanics now have now a 53% out-of-wedlock birth rate, twice what the black illegitimacy rate was in ’55, when then Daniel Patrick Moynihan so presciently said that a 23% illegitimacy rate among blacks signaled a major social catastrophe. I would invite Bush and Rubio to come with me to some schools in LA to where they will see the effects of massive, low-skilled immigration, which is what the Gang of Eight Bill is going to bring us. The Hispanic out-of-wedlock rate is twice that of Whites and Asians.

 Black 73%

Hispanic 53%

Hispanic American 43%

White 23%

Asians 16%

Mark:  I have two last questions 1) I keep hearing we have to bring illegal aliens out of the shadows. They’re not in the shadows!  2) We can’t maintain their status like this. I’m thinking to myself: Are people dragged across the border. Why is it my responsibility to confer rights and benefits to people who are here illegally? Why is this my number one priority?

Heather: We are constantly hearing that we are responsible for breaking up families, and they’re responsible! They came here fully assuming the risk of being illegal. This is not a problem that won’t take care of itself. Their kids through the idiocy of birth-right citizenship, their kids who were born here are American citizens. We are not to blame. The Rule of Law is not to blame.

I TOLD YA SO!

rubio handshakeAs much as I would like to reclaim our party and ask the elite to take a hike, I have to admit on days like this, I just want to throw my hands up in the air and quit.  They will never change!  But I won’t.  That is what they want me to do.. feel discouraged and left out.  We have seen this play itself out year after year, but this IS OUR Party, and I am not going away!

So the GOP is not interested in our input.  What’s new?  Everything has always been mapped out for us anyway, so instead of giving up, why not use their predictable ways to our favor?  Surely we can beat them this time.  I think it is revealing (and unflattering!) that the GOP has had to resort to this kind of early promotion and campaigning.  It only affirms how strong and effective the Conservative base has been. Consider this a good sign to not feel defeated.

Here is the youtube clip of Marco Rubio’s appearance last night on The O’Reilly Factor.  Notice how Mr. OReilly is not really pressingMr. Rubio very hard on the issues he disagrees with him on.

It is undeniable that Marco Rubio is part of the next in line for the presidential race in 2016, second to Jeb Bush, of course, his mentor, who is at the top of the GOP heirarchy.  As early as two days following the election, I found out that Jeb Bush had a book coming out on Immigration Reform.  This appearance is a natural way to start getting some buzz out there on the subject.  The term “Immigration Reform” probably came from the same genius consultants who brought us “Compassionate Conservatism” for Bush 43’s campaign, and “Reform Conservatism” at this same time last year during CPAC.

Immigration Reform is code for Amnesty. The left knows this, and it knows it is a losing strategy for Republicans because it divides us. That is why they are beginning to use Marco Rubio as the new GOP useful idiot, just like McCain was in 08, and Romney in 12.  See the pattern?  If we are to REFORM and take back our party back, we must address how issues like this are used by the left to divide us.

It’s not about whether immigration reform works or not (it does not).  It’s about whether it is the message we want to represent our party.  And it is not. Like I said in my video clip in December, our party leaders have hijacked our message to push an agenda we do not identify with.

Let’s push back and push back hard! Rubio’s personal blind ambition is a target for exploitation. Please read how the elite The New York Times now writes about him in a favorable way.  It was shared by a personal friend and special colleague who has witnessed my gradual disillusion with Rubio and the realization over time of who he really is.

http://newsbusters.org/blogs/clay-waters/2013/01/16/strange-new-respect-nytimes-gop-pro-immigration-reformer-sen-marco-rubi

Marco Rubio would sell us down the river because of blind personal ambition and he would sell his soul to the devil for personal power, opponents down here in Miami say.  I’ve also heard some say he came from modest means, and we should give him a break. What I see right now is someone all too eager to please those who helped him get to where “he has arrived”.  The fact is, he should not be beholden to his mentor (which he is), but to us.

Pandering to Hispanics hurts the party.  Now what?  I will share with you that I have asked his campaign manager from 2010 to appear in our group to answer questions.  I hope to have the opportunity to confront him, and to express my concerns, including my disappointment and convictions that what he is doing is wrong.  Wrong for the party.  I wish he wasn’t, but he is part of the Establishment problem in our party and not the solution. Like I said in the video, Hispanics DON’T VOTE on Immigration!  He does not speak for all Hispanics on this, specifically, he does not speak for me.

I will not take up more of your time.  There is not much more to say.  GOP Voters, I TOLD YA SO in December in this clip (just go to 2:18-4:43).

Message to GOP Voters

Dead-GOP-Elephant-e1288984661902

By Isabel Matos

January 1st marks the 54th anniversary of the Cuban Revolution.  This is not just a long rant, but an activist commentary  inspired by the memory of those who sacrificed their lives over five decades in their struggle for freedom.  There are parallels between the efforts of those who sacrificed to live free then and those who need to sacrifice, here, to be free now.

Unless a New Third Party is created, we are stuck trying to reform the Party.   Consider this my mission statement for 2013. GOP Reform must start with GOP voter Reform.  This is addressed to all who have become disenchanted with the party, including Cuban-Americans who the GOP leadership  is foolishly pandering to again by making immigration reform a topic that does not apply to them.  It’s time for all GOP voters to Wake UP!! Your party is against you.

Part I: We Have a Problem In Our Party.

Part II:  John Boehner Has to GO.   Message to Marco Rubio.

Part III:  The GOP Does Not Stand Up For Us.  Sarah Palin Stands Up For Us.

RESULTS of 2012 ELECTION AMONG CUBAN-AMERICANS

By Isabel Matos

It used to be that Cuban-Americans voted almost exclusively for Republicans.  It was a vote always counted on by the Republican Party, but the results of recent polls conducted by Bendixen Amanda regarding the Cuban-American vote are telling quite a different story.  And they are raising a multitude of questions which have the GOP doing a lot of “splaining” these days.. more like spinning.

Local pollsters appeared on Spanish television on Tuesday (I have been tuning in lately just out of curiosity) to explain why Romney lost the Hispanic vote to Obama. Their answer (in part)? They insist that the core Hispanic support consisting of Cuban-Americans in communities such as Westchester and Hialeah is still over 50% Republican.  “Ay que bueno”, right?  Not.

The problem with that answer is that the 58% figure is down almost 30% from 1988 when the Republican party had just finished a second term by Ronald Reagan.  Who can get past those numbers without asking, Why the dip?  Please allow me to briefly answer the question so as not to waste any of your time with denial of or rationalization of the stats.  It is NOT because of the change in Hispanic demographics.

It’s because of your message and your candidates, GOP!

Since George H.W. Bush ran his campaign on “personality” instead of a true conservative message in 1988, we have not seen one true Republican candidate.  That has nothing to do with immigration trends. If it did, you would think Hispanics who left countries because of big government dictatorships would continue voting overwhelmingly Republican.  The fact is that the
GOP lost 7% points of the anti-communist Cuban-American vote to Obama this year alone.
That is huge.  Miami is where I live.  We have had a long struggle with communism and a history with not just the Bushes, but many other Republican presidential candidates who visit us over the years to court our coveted vote.  Cuban-Americans (in general) have traditionally wanted to see candidates express a tough stance on communism as well as the dictator on the island. Candidates  drop an expression or two in Spanish, sip the cafecito and get the must-have photo-op at Versailles. If they are lucky, they get escorted by the community leaders who effectively and cheerfully connect them to voters.
Times have changed
Even though the issue of communism is still important, there is a disconnect, and the message being presented is either confusing or not resonating with voters.
I am going to go out on a limb and bring up immigration.  Amnesty is a pesky little issue. It is a touchy  and complicated subject that the GOP thinks it can outsmart the left on.  A book on “Immigration Reform” is coming soon.  From what I understand, it is by JeB Bush.  I am sure it will have some merit, and I can’t wait to read it (I am being sarcastic of course), but it shows how preoccupied the GOP is with the subject matter.  It has been engaged in pandering for those votes for years while ignoring the key issues the Republican Party should be proud of.
We did not lose the Hispanic vote because of Immigration
The GOP needs to understand that we did not lose the Hispanic vote in 2012 because of this issue.  We lost because Romney did not connect with voters and because he did not make the case against illegal immigration well enough, among others.  The left is masterful at making Republicans look like a mean, anti-immigration party that it is not.  “Reform Conservatism” will not bring the voters back.
If any silver lining could be found from the results of the 2012 election, is that even though Jeb Bush has had a long history in this community, it should not automatically make him the next uncontested frontrunner for president in this community by virtue of that criteria alone.  The fact is, we could use a breath of fresh air around here!  And there is a window of opportunity for someone to come in and really WOW the new blood, not just the traditional base.
Real reform turns voters on!
Unhappy Republican Hispanics were turned off at the polls for reasons we may never know.  But it would be safe to say that voters, irrespective of ethnic background, would welcome a clear articulation of conservative principles including small government, personal responsibility, a secure border and a thriving American economy, and if they don’t, why do we want them as constituents in our party?  Fresh, bold ideas excite, as do charismatic  messengers who deliver them.
GOP:  IT IS NOT YOUR JOB TO TAKE CARE OF LATINOS.
I understand each group is different, but I am proud of my family’s work ethic. They sacrificed for what they have.  Immediately upon our arrival here, we were more than happy to receive a simple welcome kit with some toiletries.  We were grateful!  The huge welcome and big deal treatment was more than enough.  We were given access cards to a distribution center where we could get items such as canned peanut butter, canned meat (like spam), powdered milk and rice that were donated by stores.  We accepted the assistance for one month until my mother found a job.
What has been lost is the meaning of assistance.
Focusing on those who want what this country has to give them, and not those who are willing to sacrifice or be grateful for what this country inspires them to do is a mistake.  One thing to welcome a group of people coming into a new country who are grateful for the opportunity,  and quite another to pander to them just for a vote without any guarantee they will return the favor.  All voters see right through this.  They know that you are trying to be like the other side, but have not made your case that you are better.

What is in our Pledge of Allegiance, is Justice, not Amnesty for all!

The bottom line is, no matter how much they try to figure things out, the GOP always comes up with anything BUT the right answers for the problems we face.  I don’t even think that they have identified what the problem really is! If you don’t know what the problem is, how are you supposed to solve it?  As long as the GOP tries to beat the Democrats at the game they play best, GOP will be sure.    There’s a simple saying that I learned in high school and it goes like this:

You may not always be the best by being yourself, but you will always be second best by being somebody else.
GOP: You’re trying to be Santa, and only Santa is Best at being Santa!
