“Irrelevant” Sarah Palin Steals the Headlines at SNL’s 40th Anniversary Bash

Politics is downstream from pop culture.

~ Andrew Breitbart

Sarah Palin definitely gets pop culture. She has a transcendent pop culture factor.

~ Andrew Breitbart

By Gary P Jackson

On Sunday night Lorne Michaels and his team put on an excellent tribute to 40 years of Saturday Night Live. It was a well done stroll down memory lane, and the entire cast deserves accolades. That said, it’s the little hockey mom from Wasilla, Alaska who grabbed all the headlines.

From the dress she wore on the red carpet [and who may have worn it before] to who she was seen with: Alec Baldwin, Al Sharpton, and Taylor Swift; to her skit with Jerry Seinfeld, tongues are wagging and the media is spinning.

First the dress! Governor Palin, who turned 51 a couple of days ago, was absolutely stunning in her white dress and trademark Kawasaki glasses.

Sarah Palin SNL 40 1

Sarah Palin SNL 40 2

What had lips flappin’ though, is the dress is the same one Bristol Palin wore to the White House Correspondent’s Dinner in 2011.

While the lamestream media was doing it’s thing, haters gotta hate, Michelle Malkin and others noted women often share clothes with their daughters.

In the real world, women wear dresses more than once! Shocker, I know.

This is where I feel obligated to remind readers that, as Governor, one of the first things Palin did was get rid of the Executive Chef at the Governor’s Mansion in Juneau, looking to save the state money, while saying she didn’t want to “spoil” her kids. She also famously put the jet Governor Murkowski bought on eBay. [later selling it through a broker, when eBay created the buzz, but no buyer] A jet that worked well when Murkowski wanted to go live it up with his cronies in Washington, but useless for traveling in most of Alaska, a state that has more pilots per-capita than any other state, but with most airfields considered primitive, at best, and unsuitable for jet use.

As most know, with Juneau, the state capitol, being so remote and inaccessible, much of the state’s business is done in Anchorage, and there is a Governor’s office there. When working out of Anchorage, Governor Palin would drive herself to work, a sixty mile trip, one way, in her own car, without a security detail. Governor Palin cut spending in her office by a cool million dollars annually vs the previous two governors; Republican Frank Murkowski and democrat Tony Knowels. Borrowing Bristol’s dress, rather than spending money on a new one, is typical of Governor Palin’s fiscal ethics, and just another reason millions would support her if she runs for President.

Others have more to say about this:

And of course ….

Me too!

Governor Palin showed up on the red carpet with Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria in tow.

You gotta love it when Sarah tells Baldwin she still loves his brother even more! As the story goes, Palin and Baldwin actually hit it off when she appeared on SNL in 2008. Like Lorne Michaels, Baldwin was said to be impressed with Palin, the person. Something most people who meet Palin, even those who disagree with her politics, have said.

One of the bits during the show included a question and answer session with Jerry Seinfeld. This is a bit that was popular on SNL years ago. Governor Palin stood up to ask a question, and Seinfeld pretended to confuse her with Tina Fey. Palin corrects Seinfeld, then asks how much Lorne [Michaels] would pay her to run for president in 2016, a nod to how much mileage Tina Fey got out of portraying the Governor. The whole bit is hilarious, Palin’s part is at the end:

The media made a big deal about who the Governor sat with in the audience, Taylor Swift …. who was seated next to Steven Spielberg. Our friends a Twitchy said it best: 2 women who know how to Shake It Off

Then there was this:

Of course, noted tax cheat and race bater Sharpton tweeted:

…. and, while Governor Palin showed nothing but class, Rev Al tweeted this:

Many responded to Sharpton’s tweet by reminding the racist pig to pay his taxes! [He owes some $4.5 MILLION in back taxes -local, state, and federal]

I find it interesting how much heat a supposedly “irrelevant” woman can bring!

The great Andrew Breitbart often said politics were simply downstream of pop culture. He knew the only way to win the culture wars, as well as the political wars, was to be among them. To take part, instead of just set back and bitch about it. He also noted Governor Palin was one of the few that “got it,” having high praise for her ability to connect with people using pop culture.

I think this tweet from Stephen Miller says it all:

The entire show was great, but as usual, it’s Sarah Palin who garnered the lion’s share of the attention.

Dear Press Corps, Erased Your Hard Drives! Love, Mitt

By Gary P Jackson

Mitt Romney is showing us that he has a sense of humor after all. First it was the bus, which has it’s own Twitter account. Now Romney is taunting the media.

It seems Mitt went on the press bus that follows his campaign around and left a little note:

Ridicule is a powerful weapon.

Coach Mike Ditka Praises Sarah Palin (Again), But Lamestream Media Refuses to Report It (Again) Lou Holtz Too!

I understand Sarah Palin spoke here last year. I admire her. She’s a great lady, mother and wife, and that’s more important than the [bull****] the media spreads about her.

~ Coach Mike Ditka

By Gary P Jackson

Legendary football coach Mike Ditka knows a winner when he sees one and in Sarah Palin, he sees a true winner. As AWR Hawkins over at Andrew Breitbart’s Big Journalism points out, if you rely on America’s corrupt, lamestream media, you’d never know this.

Now why would the media want to suppress news of one of America’s most beloved sports figures praise for one of America’s most iconic leaders? It’s almost like they have an agenda!

[Emphasis mine]

While speaking at the Washington Area Community Center’s Lessons for Leaders (Washington, IL) on August 6, Coach Mike Ditka lambasted the mainstream media (MSM) and heaped praise on Gov. Sarah Palin. Said Ditka:

I understand Sarah Palin spoke here last year. I admire her. She’s a great lady, mother and wife, and that’s more important than the [bull****] the media spreads about her.”

Ditka has offered up a strong defense of Palin before. For instance, in 2010, during an interview on Fox and Friends, he said “Sarah Palin is one of the greatest people I’ve ever met.

When he stumped for Palin/McCain in 2008, Ditka said Palin “epitomizes all the good qualities of this country. He also called on audience members to put party affiliation and anything else that divided them aside long enough “put Country First” for a change. (Ditka lead by example by unashamedly admitting he was a Republican and a conservative, and most importantly, he said, “I am an American.“)

Of course, I don’t recall hearing Chris Matthews, Matt Lauer, or anyone in the MSM mention Ditka’s kind words for the Governor in 2010 (nor do I remember them making fun of him for being a Republican). And since that was back in the days when Keith Olbermann still had a show, you’d at least think Ditka would have made the “Worst Person in the World” list.

But alas, just silence.

Come to think of it, I don’t recall hearing them talk about Ditka’s kind words for Palin on the campaign trail in 2008 either. (I’ve got a feeling Matthews, Lauer, and Olbermann would rather pick fights with people who don’t fight back, and they all know Ditka isn’t the type to just shut up and take it. That’s why they fear him and that’s why we love him.)

That’s also why we love Palin.

For the record, I won’t be expecting any MSM outlets to cover Ditka’s most recent praise of Palin at all. They’ll be too busy carrying water for Obama’s sinking ship or talking about how great it is to see Eric Holder sue another state for passing legislation aimed at protecting their borders.

Coach Ditka isn’t the only coaching icon to consistently heap praise on Sarah Palin. After the Governor’s stellar performance at the 16th Annual CLSA Investor’s Forum in Hong Kong, in September on 2009, famed Notre Dame coach Lou Holtz has this to say:

Sarah Palin excites me. She stands for something.

By the way, the Wall Street Journal said of Governor Palin’s speech:

The former vice presidential candidate understands Beijing better than the Obama Administration does.

And this was way back in 2009!

Read more about all of that here.

Let’s see, two of the greatest men to ever coach the game, men whose careers depended on them being able to spot great talent, find Sarah Palin to have it. One would think that would be at least a bit newsworthy, wouldn’t one?

Uh, Just So You Know, This Supposed “21 & Over Bar” Bristol Palin Ate Nachos In Has A Children’s Menu

By Gary P Jackson

There’s a reason why Sarah Palin calls the media in this country “lame, limp, and impotent.” This week the corrupt media has really lived up to it’s sad reputation.

First they tried to tell the nation that Sarah Palin was booed on Monday night when she visited Dancing With The Stars, never mind the fact the 20 million (plus) viewers who actually saw the show, understood the boos were for the judges because the audience thought Jennifer Grey and her partner Derek Hough got hosed. For the record, so did I.

The audience had been giving the judges hell all night over what they thought were less than gracious comments from some of the judges. It’s a competition, it’s sort of expected.

This didn’t stop our corrupt media from breathlessly reporting that Sarah was booed, even though the story was already debunked before the ink was dry on their written examples of Palin Derangement Syndrome.

So stupid was this, ABC, in a really classy move, went out of their way to prove their talent, not Sarah was being booed, as you can see here.

Proving that PDS pretty much includes every Palin, around the same time, someone was starting trouble up in Alaska, and the next thing you know here comes the story that Bristol had committed an egregious violation of natures law, or something, because she went to hear her dance partner, Mark Ballas, play a concert at Rum Runners, a “bar and grille” and eat some nachos.

Alaska has a serious problem with alcoholism, and as such, has some tough laws, which is a good thing. They are meant to keep the yutes from hanging out in bars. However, restaurants are a whole ‘nuther animal. But let’s not confuse anyone with facts.

Again, the corrupt media breathlessly reported that indeed, Bristol Palin was the worst human being on the planet, because she went to support her co-star, and ate some quasi-Mexican food.

I would love to report the media in this country is just supremely lazy, and thus just didn’t put forth any effort to get the truth. But the fact is, the media is lousy with far left characters who have an agenda. As the Journolist scandal proved, many of the so-called “top names” in the media are members of Marxist organizations, both Socialist and Communist. Hundreds of these so called “journalists” spend much of their time in the shadows crafting propaganda, coordinating lies, or helping each other make stuff up.

We have written a lot about the Journolist scandal, and the corrupt media as a whole, and one thing became abundantly clear, these tools of the Obama regime targeted Sarah Palin from day one. Her son Trig too.

The bottom line is, these people can’t be trusted on any level. You must approach everything they report as an out and out lie, until proven otherwise. Ronald Reagan used to say of our enemies: “Trust, but verify.” In this case, DISTRUST, then verify. You’ll be better off.

Now to this alleged crime against all that is holy.

First off, if the worthless media had been on the ball, they would have known that just before boarding the plane to Alaska, Bristol and Mark called into the Bob and Mark Show. Besides talking to Bristol about dancing, they spent a lot of time talking with Mark about his up coming show at Rum Runners. One of the things mentioned was Rum Runners was chosen SPECIFICALLY so Bristol could go and enjoy Mark’s performance and not break any laws.

The Bob and Mark Show, from what I understand is the most listened to show in the state. Bob and Mark are good guys and supporters of Sarah and all of the Palins. So trusted are these guys, Sarah lets Piper call in to the show every now and then. Sarah has said when she announces her run for the presidency, she will do it on their show!

Knowing this, do you REALLY think these guys would do something that would get Bristol in trouble?

I’ve never been to Rum Runners, which is in Anchorage, but it seems like a great place. It reminds me of a lot of places in Austin, Texas …. The Live Music Capitol of the World. In Austin, many eateries also have live music, at least a few nights a week. It’s just how things are done.

Anyhow, we took a look at their website here. It looks like a fun place, has a decent menu, and seems to be a favorite with the younger crowd. In other words, like every other “bar and grille” on the planet. As a side note, they have some very attractive patrons, but I digress.

While I was enjoying the artistic value of their website, I also took time to look over their fine cuisine, which if the reviews are to be believed, is quite good, and quite reasonable. While working up an apatite, I discovered, hiding in plain sight, a children’s menu.

The Lil Swash-Bucklers Menu is about what you’d expect. You can read the entire menu here.

Look, I’m no expert on Alaskan liquor laws, but somehow I don’t see a “21 and Over Only” bar taking the trouble to put some fish sticks and corn dogs out for the Lil Swash-Bucklers, do you?

So who are we to believe, Bob and Mark, trusted Palin friends, and the people who set the gig up, or the lying media with a proven agenda, an agenda that includes trying to destroy Sarah Palin and her family?

I detest this sort of thing. I have no problem playing hard ball with the enemies of Freedom and Liberty, but unless their kids are out there actively helping them destroy the world, leave them out of it. They can’t help who, and what, their parents are.

This sort of thing is nothing new. In fact, Harry Truman once threatened to punch a reporter in the nose after he insulted First Daughter Margaret Truman’s piano playing!

My how far we come.

Since Truman, democrat’s kids have been pretty much off limits, no matter what they pull. It’s a well known fact that when she was younger, Chelsea Clinton was a sloppy, fall down drunk, and there are photos out there to prove it. You never heard this reported by the American media. And you know what, that’s OK.

Of course, once George W Bush took the keys to the White House from Clinton, all bets were off. The media had no problem hounding the First Daughters, and reporting their ever foible.

Then came Sarah Palin and her family. I’ve never seen anything like this in my life. It’s insane. No insult is off limits, and flat making stuff up is totally acceptable if there’s a Palin involved. All of her children, including Trig, are fair game.

And yet, the media worked overtime to cover up reports that Vice President Joe Biden’s daughter, Ashley, may have been caught on tape snorting cocaine, a slightly bigger deal than going to eat nachos in a “bar,” wouldn’t you think?

Then there is the son of one Albert Gore Jr. Mr “The Earth Has A Temperature’s” son, Al III was caught screaming down the highway in his Toyota Prius, higher than a kite. Marijuana and other drugs were found in his car. This would be the second time Mini Al was charged with a DUI, drugs, and reckless driving.

Again, eating nachos in a “bar,” or driving, in a drug induced stupor, and putting everyone on the road with you in mortal danger? TWICE. You make the call.

Look, other than some questionable choice in men, of which she seems to be totally cured of, Bristol Palin seems to be a really nice, well grounded young woman. Judging how well she picked up the pieces after the Levi Johnston fiasco, and her obviously strong work ethic, evidenced in her performances on Dancing With The Stars, I would bet any normal parent would be proud to have her as a daughter.

The media in this country has become almost criminally biased. They have collectively spit on the Constitution, breaking the sacred trust owed to the people, in return for their guaranteed First Amendment rights. They are little more than propagandists whose only reason for existing is to advance the agenda of those who are destroying the nation.

To paraphrase the immortal words of our President: “Why can’t Bristol just eat her nachos?

Lamestream Media Falsely Attributes Boos from Crowd to Governor Palin (Updated)

By Stacy Drake

Left-wing reporters and so-called “mainstream” media publications, are falsely reporting that Governor Palin was “booed” by the audience Monday night when she attended the taping of Dancing With the Stars to watch her daughter Bristol again with her partner Mark Ballas. While the audience did boo, they actually booed at the low score given to Jennifer Grey and her partner after a very well performed routine. After the score was given to Grey and her partner, the show transitioned to Tom Bergeron giving a brief interview to Governor Palin as she sat in the audience. After Bergeron announced the governor, the audience applauded. You would think that an audience hostile to the her would pick up their heckling once her name was announced. However, the opposite happened as they all clapped their hands. According to some in the press, the audience was just getting controlled, or something.

It should be noted that the false reports written about this where all written by people who were not there. However, a reporter who was there told a much different story. Mikey O’Connell from Zap 2 News reported:

That was booing you heard after Jennifer Grey and Derek Hough got their scores, and though Internet conspiracy theorists would have you believe it was directed at Sarah Palin (Really, Internet? Really?), it was definitely aimed at the judges. We understand it’s too early to dole out the really high numbers, but a 24 for that incredible jive didn’t make sense to anyone in the studio.

I don’t know what a “jive” is supposed to look like, but apparently Jennifer Grey and her partner did a good job. The guy who covers this stuff ought to know.

Governor Palin wanted to attend the taping to lend support to her daughter during this important time in her life. The media couldn’t control themselves enough to just let the governor be a mom for once, and instead used a transition in the program (that could easily be twisted) to attack her instead. This is really low… Even for these people.

Update: Tom Bergeron appeared on the Jimmy Kimmel Show later Monday night and said that the boos were indeed directed at the judges for giving Grey a bad score. He said:

“They felt that Jennifer Grey got screwed,” Bergeron said. “They felt that she should have gotten 9s because [the judges] had just gushed about her – they felt that they had underscored her.”

On The Day McCain Introduced Sarah Palin, The Media Started Coordinating Their Best Lines Of Attack. More Journolist Revealed

This seems to me like an occasion when the non-official campaign has a big role to play in defining Palin, shaping the terms of the conversation and saying things that the official [Obama] campaign shouldn’t say – very hard-hitting stuff, including some of the things that people have been noting here – scare people about having this woefully inexperienced, no foreign policy/national security/right-wing christia wing-nut a heartbeat away …… bang away at McCain’s age making this unusually significant …. I think people should be replicating some of the not-so-pleasant viral email campaigns that were used against [Obama].

~ Daniel Levy of the Century Foundation and Journolist contributor

By Gary P Jackson

The big news on Thursday, from the Daily Caller’s series of exposés, is the corrupt, dishonest media has colluded to take Sarah Palin down since the day John McCain introduced her to the nation, and the world.

In other breaking news, water is wet.

Look, we have been writing about the attacks on Sarah for a long, long time. We have thoroughly documented the attacks on Sarah by the Obama regime, coordinated by Pete Rouse, whose office is only a few feet from the Oval one.

We’ve written extensively about the network of hate bloggers who were given complete access to some of the nation’s best know websites to spew their insane hatred and lies about the Governor. We’ve also well documented the fact Team Obama tasked these malcontents and reprobates with the job of recruiting people to continually file bogus ethics complaints against Governor Palin, and her staff, which you can read more about here.

With that said, the exposure of Journolist takes everything to a higher level.

As we pointed out in our piece, The Day Journalism Died, where we discuss Journolist, and some of the many ways the so-called “guardians of truth” have conspired to lie to the American people on any number of issues, Team Obama was heavily involved with the take down of Sarah Palin.

One of the things done was having Sam Nunn, a high ranking Marxist-democrat, someone who was on Obama’s short list for Vice President, sit down with Katie Couric before she conducted her many hours of interviews with Sarah. Nunn spent a considerable amount of time coaching the Perky One before she interviewed Sarah, helping her craft the very best “gotcha” tactics.

Think about that a minute. This supposed “guardian of the truth” this “trusted new anchor” for CBS actually sat down with a member of the opposing team, before interviewing the potential next Vice President of the United States, in an effort to derail her candidacy.

As an American, this should be of great concern to you.

Let’s not even get into the fact that hours of the taped interview were chopped up and edited to paint Sarah in the worst possible light.

As we look at the latest, remember, even though only a few names are mentioned, there are over 400 members of this “august body” and all of them participated and benefitted from the collaboration. There are some of the biggest names in “journalism” on this list.

Before we look at what these people were up to, the author of this piece, Jonathan Strong, appeared on Thursday’s Fox and Friends to discuss these attacks on Sarah:

In the hours after Sen. John McCain announced his choice of Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin to be his running mate in the last presidential race, members of an online forum called Journolist struggled to make sense of the pick. Many of them were liberal reporters, and in some cases their comments reflected a journalist’s instinct to figure out the meaning of a story.

But in many other exchanges, the Journolisters clearly had another, more partisan goal in mind: to formulate the most effective talking points in order to defeat Palin and McCain and help elect Barack Obama president. The tone was more campaign headquarters than newsroom.

The conversation began with a debate over how best to attack Sarah Palin. “Honestly, this pick reeks of desperation,” wrote Michael Cohen of the New America Foundation in the minutes after the news became public. “How can anyone logically argue that Sarah Pallin [sic], a one-term governor of Alaska, is qualified to be President of the United States? Train wreck, thy name is Sarah Pallin.

This nimrod can’t even spell her name, but she’s the train wreck.

Not a wise argument, responded Jonathan Stein, a reporter for Mother Jones. If McCain were asked about Palin’s inexperience, he could simply point to then candidate Barack Obama’s similarly thin resume. “Q: Sen. McCain, given Gov. Palin’s paltry experience, how is she qualified to be commander in chief?,” Stein asked hypothetically. “A: Well, she has much experience as the Democratic nominee.”

One very interesting thing, and we’ve seen this from day one, both Team Obama, and the media, treated Sarah as if she was at the top of the ticket, the presidential nominee, rather than VP, right from the start. She was rarely compared to Biden. More times than not, she was compared only to Obama.

What a joke,” added Jeffrey Toobin of the New Yorker. “I always thought that some part of McCain doesn’t want to be president, and this choice proves my point. Welcome back, Admiral Stockdale.”

Daniel Levy of the Century Foundation noted that Obama’s “non-official campaign” would need to work hard to discredit Palin. “This seems to me like an occasion when the non-official campaign has a big role to play in defining Palin, shaping the terms of the conversation and saying things that the official [Obama] campaign shouldn’t say – very hard-hitting stuff, including some of the things that people have been noting here – scare people about having this woefully inexperienced, no foreign policy/national security/right-wing christia wing-nut a heartbeat away …… bang away at McCain’s age making this unusually significant …. I think people should be replicating some of the not-so-pleasant viral email campaigns that were used against [Obama].

Read that last paragraph again. If you didn’t have a chill run down your spine, there is something wrong with you. Rather than being concerned with learning more about Sarah Palin, her outstanding record as a public servant, and all of the accomplishments she had amassed, and how to tell her incredible life story to the world, these people saw themselves as part of Barack Obama’s “unofficial” campaign team, whose duty was to defeat her.

These are people crafting lies, propaganda, that would rival the best one could find in Nazi Germany, Soviet Russia, or Woodrow Wilson’s “progressive” America.

What we are witnessing here isn’t a bunch of sports reporters hanging around the locker room after a game and overhearing the team shoot the bull. No, this is the reporters, sitting down with the team, and going over the play book with them, and asking how they can help.

Ryan Donmoyer, a reporter for Bloomberg News who was covering the campaign, sent a quick thought that Palin’s choice not to have an abortion when she unexpectedly became pregnant at age 44 would likely boost her image because it was a heartwarming story.

Her decision to keep the Down’s baby is going to be a hugely emotional story that appeals to a vast swath of America, I think,” Donmoyer wrote.

Politico reporter Ben Adler, now an editor at Newsweek, replied, “but doesn’t leaving sad baby without its mother while she campaigns weaken that family values argument? Or will everyone be too afraid to make that point?

Please note “sad baby” is most likely a typo by Adler, we believe he meant to write “said baby.” Unlike the way these freaks operate, we’ll give Adler the benefit of the doubt here.

Anyhow, how many times during the campaign did you hear various reporters and other “experts” lament that it was wrong for Sarah Palin to be running for Vice President, when she had young children? Bear in mind, Joe Biden tragically lost his wife when his kids were quite young, and he commuted daily to D. C. for his job as a United States Senator. Nothing was even said of that, nor should it have been.

Of course, as we all know, while politicians’ kids are normally off limits, those rules were thrown out the window with Sarah and her family. These “journalists” trashed her for “parading her kids around” and “forcing them in the spot light” while at the same time doing puff pieces of the Obama children who were equally “paraded around” and “forced into the spotlight.

Blogger Matt Yglesias sent out a new post thread with the subject, “The line on Palin.

John McCain picked someone to help him politically, Barack Obama picked someone to help him govern,” Yglesias wrote.

Ed Kilgore, managing editor of the Democratic Strategist blog, argued that journalists and others trying to help the Obama campaign should focus on Palin’s beliefs. “The criticism of her really, really needs to be ideological, not just about experience. If we concede she’s a ‘maverick,’ we will have done John McCain an enormous service. And let’s don’t concede the claim that [Hillary Clinton] supporters are likely to be very attracted to her,” Kilgore said.

Amidst this debate over how most effectively to destroy Palin’s reputation, reporter Avi Zenilman, who was then writing about the campaign for Politico, chimed in to note that Palin had “openly backed” parts of Obama’s energy plan. In an interview Wednesday, Zenilman said he sent the information as a means of promoting a story he had written for Politico.

Chris Hayes of the Nation wrote in with words of encouragement, and to ask for more talking points. “Keep the ideas coming! Have to go on TV to talk about this in a few min and need all the help I can get,” Hayes wrote.

Suzanne Nossel, chief of operations for Human Rights Watch, added a novel take: “I think it is and can be spun as a profoundly sexist pick. Women should feel umbrage at the idea that their votes can be attracted just by putting a woman, any woman, on the ticket no matter her qualifications or views.”

Mother Jones’s Stein loved the idea. “That’s excellent! If enough people – people on this list? – write that the pick is sexist, you’ll have the networks debating it for days. And that negates the SINGLE thing Palin brings to the ticket,” he wrote.

Another writer from Mother Jones, Nick Baumann, had this idea: “Say it with me: ‘Classic GOP Tokenism’.”

How utterly pathetic is this. Let’s see, Sarah Palin was the Governor of our largest state, and a damned successful one at that, so this bunch sought to portray McCain’s pick as “desperation“? Funny thing, I haven’t see Joe Biden do a lot of “governing.” For that matter, we haven’t seen much of that from the community organizer either!

It’s really interesting how the nominally female member of the “Ministry of Truth” went straight for the sexism angle. Must have been out of race cards that day. Let’s see, here’s the first woman ever chosen to be on a presidential ticket for the Republican party, and instead of being impressed, and proud, Suzanne Nossel had to try and spin it as a bad thing.

They were right though, this narrative was discussed, ad nauseum, throughout the campaign. And as we see now, totally fabricated.

It’s almost comical, by the way, to picture Chris Hayes pathetically begging his fellow propagandists for more ideas on how to smear Sarah. These people really are losers.

Kilgore wasn’t sold: “I STRONGLY think the immediate task is to challenge the ‘maverick’ bullshit about Palin, which everybody on the tube is echoing. I’ll say it one more time: Palin is a hard-core conservative ideologue in every measurable way.

[ … ]

As the morning wore on into the afternoon, some on Journolist came to believe the Palin pick had been shrewd. Palin was coming off as appealing and a maverick, they worried.

Okay, let’s get deadly serious, folks. Grating voice or not, ‘inexperienced’ or not, Sarah Palin’s just been introduced to the country as a brave, above-party, oil-company-bashing, pork-hating maverick ‘outsider’,” Kilgore said, “What we can do is to expose her ideology.”

And there you have it, when all other thinking started to fail, the went back to the default position these people use on every conservative. “Oh, she’s a far right ideologue.” and “She’s dangerous!” The left said the same things about Ronald Reagan. These people haven’t had an original thought in 100 years!

Of course, anyone who has studied Sarah Palin, and her career as a public servant, knows she is anything but. Oh, she has some very strong personal beliefs, but when it comes to governing, the Constitution is her guide, not her “feelings.” It’s the left that runs on feelings, not logic, or the Rule of Law. For them, emotion trumps all. It is hilarious to see them so desperate to stop Sarah they fall back on lines of attack older than they are.

There is so much more to this, which you can read here.

Just how egregious are all of these coordinated attacks against Sarah Palin by these “guardians of truth“? Even noted OB/Gyn Andrew Sullivan has cried foul!

What readers need to realize, is this is a lot bigger than Sarah Palin, or even the vile, malicious attacks she’s experienced non-stop since she was selected for the national stage. What we have witnessed by the nation’s media was a coordinated effort to make sure their candidate ended up in the most powerful job in the world.

These so-called journalists, threw their integrity away, and abused the trust of the American people to make sure their guy, a clearly unqualified, and inferior candidate, Barack Obama, won over an eminently superior and highly qualified candidate, Sarah Palin.

These revelations should shake America to it’s very core. This should be setting off alarms everywhere. Sadly, I wonder if people will really understand the magnitude of all of this. The dangers these people are to the very existence of the Republic.

A free and honest media is essential for Liberty and Freedom to survive. Honestly, at this point, much of our media is little more than a stenography pool for the Obama regime. As one looks back in history, one of the first things would-be dictators do is seize control of the media. They must control the message completely.

Many times this is done by force, but every now and then, the media become “useful idiots,” not realizing that tyrants, once in complete control, usually eliminate all freedoms of speech, and communication, thus eliminating them. There are led like lambs to the slaughter.

There are over 400 members of Journolist. Out of those 400 plus, we know the names of sixty-five of them. While some are obscure, and unknown to many of our readers, some are quite prominent. Sarah Palin Lays Out Her Aggressive Agenda For National Security, Liberty, Freedom, And The American Way …. Video Included

By Gary P Jackson

Speaking at Freedom Fest in Norfolk, Virginia Sarah Palin laid out her very aggressive agenda for the nation. This is a powerful indictment of the Obama regime, and the corrupt “lamestream media” as well.

Fresh from her speech at California State University, at Stanislaus, where she spoke of American exceptionalism, and the need to get back to the basics in education, and raised more money for the university than any other speaker in history, Sarah came to Virginia ready to take on the big issues that we face.

With every passing speech, every new appearance, Sarah Palin looks more powerful, more in control, and more presidential. This is a compelling speech, where she implores the American people not to settle for second best. She tells us not to allow Barack Obama and his minions get away with saying America’s finest hours are behind us, and that we are just another nation among nations. Don’t let Obama and the rest of the Marxist-democrats tell you America is not the greatest force for good the world has ever known.

Sarah implores us not to just say “no,” to the Obama agenda, but “Hell No!

Here’s video of the speech:

Below is a partial transcript Sarah released today via her Facebook blog:

Peace Through Strength and American Pride vs. “Enemy-Centric” Policy

Earlier this week, I spoke at the Freedom Fest in Norfolk, Virginia; and, evidently, the media was asked to leave – not by me, that’s for sure. I want my message out, so despite reporters making up a story about “Palin people kicking us out” (uh, the “Palin people” entourage would consist of one person – my 15-year-old daughter, Willow – and I have no doubt she could take on any reporter, but I know for certain she didn’t “kick ‘em out” of the event). Anyway, here are some of the key issues I spoke about.

It takes a lot of resources to maintain the best fighting force in the world – especially at a time when we face financial uncertainty and a mountain of debt that threatens all of our futures.

We have a federal government that is spending trillions, and that has nationalized whole sections of our economy: the auto industry, the insurance industry, health care, student loans, the list goes on – all of it at enormous cost to the tax payer. The cost of Obamacare alone is likely to exceed $2.5 trillion dollars.

As a result of all these trillion dollar spending bills, America’s going bust in a hurry. By 2020 we may reach debt levels of $20 trillion – twice the debt that we have today! It reminds me of that joke I read the other day: “Please don’t tell Obama what comes after a trillion!

Something has to be done urgently to stop the out of control Obama-Reid-Pelosi spending machine, and no government agency should be immune from budget scrutiny. We must make sure, however, that we do nothing to undermine the effectiveness of our military. If we lose wars, if we lose the ability to deter adversaries, if we lose the ability to provide security for ourselves and for our allies, we risk losing all that makes America great! That is a price we cannot afford to pay.

This may be obvious to you and me, but I am not sure the Obama Administration gets it. There isn’t a single progressive pet cause which they haven’t been willing to throw billions at. But when it comes to defense spending, all of a sudden they start preaching a message of “fiscal restraint.” Our Defense Secretary recently stated the “gusher” of defense spending was over and that it was time for the Department of Defense to tighten its belt. There’s a gusher of spending alright, but it’s not on defense. Did you know the US actually only ranks 25th worldwide on defense spending as a percentage of GDP? We spend three times more on entitlements and debt services than we do on defense.

Now don’t get me wrong: there’s nothing wrong with preaching fiscal conservatism. I want the federal government to balance its budget right now! And not the Washington way – which is raising your taxes to pay for their irresponsible spending habits. I want it done the American way: by cutting spending, reducing the size of government, and letting people keep more of their hard-earned cash.

But the Obama administration doesn’t practice what it preaches. This is an administration that won’t produce a budget for fear that we discover how reckless they’ve been as fiscal managers. At the same time, it threatens to veto a defense bill because of an extra jet engine!

This administration may be willing to cut defense spending, but it’s increasing it everywhere else. I think we should do it the other way round: cut spending in other departments – apart from defense. We should not be cutting corners on our national security.

Secretary Gates recently spoke about the future of the US Navy. He said we have to “ask whether the nation can really afford a Navy that relies on $3 to $6 billion destroyers, $7 billion submarines, and $11 billion carriers.” He went on to ask, “Do we really need… more strike groups for another 30 years when no other country has more than one?

Well, my answer is pretty simple: Yes, we can and, yes, we do because we must. Our Navy has global responsibilities. It patrols sea lanes and safeguards the freedoms of our allies – and ourselves. The Navy right now only has 286 ships, and that number may decrease. That will limit our options, extend tours for Navy personnel, lessen our ability to secure our allies and deter our adversaries. The Obama administration seems strangely unconcerned about this prospect.

When George W. Bush came into office, he inherited a military that had been cut deeply, an al Qaeda that had been unchallenged, and an approach to terrorism that focused on bringing court cases rather than destroying those who sought to destroy us. We saw the result of some of that on 9/11.

When President Obama came into office, he inherited a military that was winning in Iraq. He inherited loyal allies and strong alliances. And thanks to the lamestream media pawing and purring over him, he had the benefit of unparalleled global popularity. What an advantage! So their basic foreign policy outlines should have been clear. Commit to the War on Terror. Commit to winning – not ending, but winning the war in Afghanistan. Commit to the fight against violent Islamic extremism wherever it finds sanctuary. Work with our allies. Be resolute with our adversaries. Promote liberty, not least because it enhances our security. Unfortunately, these basic principles seem to have been discarded by Washington.

His administration has banned the phrase “war on terror,” preferring instead politically correct nonsense like “overseas contingency operations.” His Homeland Security Secretary calls acts of terrorism “man-caused disasters.” His reckless plan to close Guantanamo (because there’s no place to go after it’s closed) faces bipartisan opposition now.

The Attorney General just announced that a decision about where to try terrorists like 9/11 master mind Khalid Sheikh Mohammed would not be announced until after the mid-term elections. Is there something he’s afraid to tell us?

The President’s new National Security Strategy does not even use the word “Islamic” when referring to violent extremism. Does he think the ideology of those who seek to kill Americans is irrelevant? How can we seek to defeat an enemy if we don’t acknowledge what motivates them and what their ultimate goals are? President Obama may think he is being politically correct by dropping the term, but it flies in the face of reality. As Senator Joe Lieberman noted, refusing to use the word Islamic when describing the nature of the threat we face is “Orwellian and counterproductive.”

In Afghanistan, it is true that President Obama approved deploying additional forces to the conflict – most, but not all the troops requested by commanders on the ground. But it took months of indecision to get to that point, and it came at a very high price – a July 2011 date to begin withdrawal.

This date was arbitrary! It bears no relation to conditions on the ground. It sends all the wrong signals to our friends and to our enemies. We know our commanders on the ground are not comfortable with it.

As that great Navy war hero, Senator John McCain recently put it: “The decision to begin withdrawing our forces from Afghanistan arbitrarily in July 2011 seems to be having exactly the effect that many of us predicted it would: It is convincing the key actors inside and outside of Afghanistan that the United States is more interested in leaving than succeeding in this conflict.”

Does the President really believe the Taliban and al Qaeda won’t be empowered by his naming of a starting date for withdrawal? They now believe they can beat him simply by outlasting us. What sort of effect does he think this will have on the morale of our troops – and of our allies?

It’s not the only area where the Obama administration has failed our allies. They escalated a minor zoning issue in Jerusalem into a major dispute with our most important ally in the Middle East, Israel. They treated the Israeli Prime Minister shabbily in Washington. When a Turkish sponsored flotilla threatened to violate a legal Israeli blockade of Hamas-run Gaza, the Obama Administration was silent. When Israeli commandos were assaulted as they sought to prevent unmonitored cargoes from being delivered to Hamas terrorists, the Obama Administration sent signals it might allow a UN investigation into the matter – an investigation that would be sure to condemn our ally Israel and bemoan the plight of Hamas. Loyal NATO allies in central Europe were undermined by the cancellation of a missile defense program with virtually no warning. At the same time, Russia and China are given preferential treatment, while remaining silent on their human rights violations.

Meanwhile, the Obama Administration reaches out to some of the world’s worst regimes. They shake hands with dictators like Hugo Chavez, send letters to the Iranian mullahs and envoys to North Korea, ease sanctions on Cuba and talk about doing the same with Burma. That’s when they’re not on one of their worldwide apology tours.

Do we get anything in return for all this bowing and apologizing? No, we don’t. Yes, Russia voted for a weak sanctions resolution on Iran, but it immediately stated it could sell advanced anti-aircraft missile to Iran anyway, and would not end its nuclear cooperation. In response to North Korea’s unprovoked sinking of a South Korean Navy ship, China warned us not to take part in military exercises with our ally.

And while President Obama lets America get pushed around by the likes of Russia and China, our allies are left to wonder about the value of an alliance with the U.S. They have to be wondering if it’s worth it.

It has led one prominent Czech official to call Obama’s foreign policy “enemy-centric.” And this “enemy-centric” approach has real consequences. It not only baffles our allies, it worries them. When coupled with less defense spending, it signals to the world that maybe we can no longer be counted on, and that we have other priorities than being the world leader that keeps the peace and provides security in Europe, in Asia and throughout the world.

Together with this enemy-centric foreign policy, we see a lessening of the long, bipartisan tradition of speaking out for human rights and democracy. The Secretary of State said she would not raise human rights with China because “we pretty much know what they are going to say.” Democracy promotion programs have been cut. Support for the brave Iranians protesting their government was not forthcoming because President Obama would rather try to cut a deal with their oppressors.

When the world’s dictators see the United States unconcerned with human rights and political freedom, they breathe a sigh of relief, because they know they have a free hand to repress their own people.

This goes against the very ideals on which our republic was founded. There is a long bipartisan tradition of speaking out in favor of freedom – from FDR to Ronald Reagan. America loses something very important when its President consigns human rights and freedom to the back burner of its international priorities.

We have a President, perhaps for the very first time since the founding of our republic, who doesn’t appear to believe that America is the greatest earthly force for good the world has ever known.

When asked whether he believed in American exceptionalism, President Obama answered, “I believe in American exceptionalism, just as I suspect that the Brits believe in British exceptionalism and the Greeks believe in Greek exceptionalism.” Amazing. Amazing.

I think this statement speaks volumes about his world view. He sees nothing unique in the American experience? Really? Our founding, and our founding mothers and fathers? Really? And our history over the past two and half centuries?

Really? He sees nothing unique in an America that fought and won two world wars and in victory sought not one inch of territory or one dollar of plunder? He sees nothing unique in an America that, though exhausted by conflict, still laid the foundation for security in Europe and Asia after World War II? He sees nothing unique in an America that prevailed against an evil ideology in the Cold War? Does he just see a country that has to be apologized for around the world, especially to dictators?

President Obama actually seems reluctant to even embrace American power. Earlier this year when he was asked about his faltering Middle East peace process, he said “whether we like it or not, we remain a dominant military superpower.” Whether we like it or not?! Really? Mr. President, this may come as news to you, but most Americans actually do like it. And so do our allies. They know it was our military might that liberated countless millions from tyranny, slavery, and oppression over the last 234 years. Yes, we do like it. As a dominant superpower, the United States has won wars hot and cold; our military has advanced the cause of freedom and kept authoritarian powers in check.

It is in America’s and the world’s best interests for our country to remain the dominant military superpower, but under President Obama’s leadership that dominance may be slipping away. It’s the result of an agenda that reeks of complacency and defeatism.

(I went on from there to talk about our need to end the negative, defeatist attitudes of those in leadership. I spoke further on American exceptionalism, and Willow and I ended a great evening with some great patriots. Sorry the media chose to report anything other than what actually happened at the event.)

– Sarah Palin

I want to address the question of this blogger, who none of us has ever heard of, but indeed has a blog, that claims he was kicked out of Freedom Fest after a few minutes of blogging Sarah’s speech.

Now we find that rather a dubious claim on many levels. People live blog from pretty much every speech Sarah gives, especially events like this. People park on Twitter waiting anxiously for every quote, every tidbit of information about the event, hungry for all things Palin.

Another thing, this blogger claims he was invited by one of the event sponsors to cover this deal, and was credentialed. I’ve been to a lot of events, and credentialed media is rarely hassled. Past that, if the guy was there at the behest of a sponsor, how hard would it have been to drop a name or two? (It’s always worked for us!)

Some have suggested that maybe an outsider, posing as an event official, an “agent provocateur” may have wondered in to cause trouble, but that’s getting out there where the buses don’t run.

The thing that makes us really doubt this blogger’s story is the fact that video, clearly shot from someone in the audience, exists. If they were kicking out fully credentialed and somewhat “official” bloggers, how did the video posted by “Daily Press News” come into being?

Inquiring minds want to know.

You’ll read more about this in the coming days I’m sure, but as Stacy Drake wrote in her latest offering, this is all about stealing the headlines away from what Sarah actually has to say, the substance, and mis-directing you somewhere else.

There are a whole lot of people both Marxist-democrats, and establishment Republicans, who would just as soon you didn’t pay attention to Sarah Palin and her strong message. They just as soon you forget she is one of the few real leaders this nation has.

Sarah Palin is a real leader, a strong leader, and a proven reformer. This scares the hell out of both the corrupt Marxist-democrats, as well the corrupt establishment Republicans. In fact, she may scare the corrupt Republicans more, because they know what she did to the Alaskan Republicans and Governor Frank Murkowski’s “Corrupt Bastards Club.

Our best advice when it comes to Sarah Palin, is to pay attention to what this magnificent woman says, and ignore the spectacle that those who don’t have America’s best interest at heart, make of themselves, trying to get you to ignore her!
