Governor Sarah Palin Hammers “Misogynist Frat Boys” at Daily Caller for Their LATEST Lies About Her

By Gary P Jackson

The Daily Caller has a nasty habit of attacking Governor Sarah Palin outright, and telling lies about her as well. Tucker Carlson, the head a-hole over there, runs nothing less than a sophomoric frat house [something I have proudly pointed out not only to him, but his running buddy Matt Lewis, on more than one occasion] This little “good old boys club” is particularly fond of making sexist remarks about women, often while outright lying about them.

Such was the case back in 2011, when Carlson not only lied outright about Governor Palin’s popularity, and viability in Iowa, but in a tweet called the Governor a “MILF” which, if you don’t know, stands for Mother I’d Like to F*ck.

Palin’s popularity falling in Iowa, but maintains lead to become supreme commander of Milfistan

Stacy Drake took Tucker and his boys club to task in a blistering op-ed. for Conservatives4Palin

When more clowns, like Red State’s Erick Erickson joined in, yucking it up with Carlson, and repeating the polling misinformation, to boot, Whitney let loose on the whole lot with her blistering: MILF–Misogynists (and Elites) I’d Like to Fulminate.

For her part, Greta called Carlson a “pig‘ after his remark about Governor Palin.

In June of 2012, the Caller, in various articles, called Governor Palin “irreverent” a favorite attack of those who oppose Governor Palin’s common sense conservatism. That was par for the course, of course, but hilariously, those jackasses weren’t done. Governor Palin was so “irrelevant” [in their eyes] that not one, but TWO articles were penned, by The DC’s “Senior Editor” Jamie Weinstein and Alex Pappas, respectively, BEGGING Governor Palin to endorse Mitt Romney. Even in this,“Senior Editor” Weinstein couldn’t help himself:

Sarah Palin has become increasingly irrelevant, but her endorsement still remains sought after by GOP candidates.

After begging for her gold plated endorsement for the feckless Romney, he ended with:

Sarah, Sarah where are you?

Pappas whined in his piece:

While Sarah Palin has made it concretely clear that she’s opposed to President Barack Obama’s re-election, the former governor of Alaska has not yet offered a formal endorsement of the presumptive Republican nominee for president.

Palin — the 2008 Republican vice presidential nominee, who admitted to voting for Newt Gingrich during the GOP primary — said earlier this year that she would support Romney “100 percent” if he became the nominee.

But she hasn’t been very enthusiastic about supporting the former Massachusetts governor since he clinched the nod.

I honestly believe that anybody running on a GOP ticket would be infinitely better than what we have today, with these failed socialist policies,” Palin said on NBC’s “Today” show in April — after it was clear that Romney would be the nominee.

Aides to Palin did not comment on questions posed by TheDC on this topic Monday.

It’s no surprise that she’s not Romney’s biggest fan: Fox News reported over this weekend that in giving a keynote speech to conservative activists Friday at the RightOnline convention in Las Vegas, Palin did not mention Romney once during her 35-minute address.

Is it any wonder why Governor Palin and her people felt no obligation to give the frat boys the time of day?

I covered the whole affair here.

That brings us to the latest outright LIE The Daily Caller has chosen to spread. Out of the blue a few days ago, they claimed Governor Palin DEMANDED an appearance on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. Their claim is that Governor Palin wanted to “set the record straight” and promote herself. Never mind Governor Palin had ALREADY appeared on the show when Conan O’Brien was the host, and she and William Shatner did a hilarious beat poetry bit together.

Governor Palin took to Facebook a few days ago to set Carlson and his lying crew of frat boys straight about her appearance with Jay Leno:

Guess the boys at The Daily Caller spent a bit too much time at the frat house and not enough time in their college library. (Or maybe it’s in one of their Jr. High tree forts where their leader gathers the boys to “report” their “conservative” issues.) Their claims about what I supposedly “demanded” of the Tonight Show are, in their frat boy terms, B.S. This is not the first time we’ve had to correct their sloppy “journalism.” Paraphrasing and dramatizing sure doesn’t fit into any fair and balanced image, especially from a little fella loving his title of FOX News Channel host. Maybe those bow ties are a bit too tight, bros.

In contrast to your erroneous reporting (Hey! Come to think of it, this time it’s merely erroneous; it’s not your usual misogynist slant!), we loved visiting the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. I had a blast on the show. Leno’s team was top notch, professional, and funny; and some even brought their families to work that day so they could meet mine. That was neat! Thanks for the memories, Jay!

I’m looking forward to reading Dave Berg’s great new book “Behind the Curtain: An Insider’s View of Jay Leno’s Tonight Show.” Dave reached out by email to my team to share the following: “I consider Gov. Palin’s booking on Jay Leno’s Tonight Show one of the best gets I ever got. I had worked long and hard to book her, both during and after her vice-presidential campaign. She turned out to be a charming guest, who also did a killer standup, and her ratings won the night by a large margin. You can’t ask for more from a guest.”

Thank you for the kind comments, Dave. Back at ya!

Please check out Dave’s new book. It looks like a really fun read. You can get a copy here: http://is.gd/HLzN4o or here: http://is.gd/z7Yknh

Governor Palin with Jay Leno

Leno -Berg

Who you gonna believe, a filthy liar who attacks Conservatives, or Jay Leno’s booker and top hand?

BTW, how good was Governor Palin on the Tonight Show? The very same time she was on, Governor Mitt Romney was on sexist pig David Letterman’s show. The difference between Governor Palin’s star-power and Governor Romney’s complete lack of personality was so great, Jon Stewart produced his own hilarious bit, which can be seen here: Leno-Palin vs Letterman-Romney.

Point, Palin all the way around.

Sarah Palin: Obama is a LIAR ON ENERGY

Sarah Palin speaking at Alaska pipeline

By Sarah Palin:

President Obama’s claim that the Keystone pipeline would create “maybe 2,000 jobs” during its construction is such a blatant lie that even his friends at Politifact were forced to rate it false.

The Alaska pipeline is a good example of the boom created by construction of a pipeline – a job boom that continues to this day with thousands of workers on the North Slope. During its construction and pre-construction phase, the Alyeska pipeline project employed some 70,000 workers from 1969 through 1977.

During its peak, that pipeline provided 17% of the U.S. domestic supply of energy – that’s billions of barrels of oil. To deny the multiple benefits involved in building the Keystone pipeline – from job creation to securing a reliable source of energy from an environmentally responsible country like Canada – is just ludicrous. It’s more of what we’ve come to expect from the Obama administration and his lapdog spokesmen.

Good News! IRS Says Cheapest ObamaCare Plan Will Only Cost You $20,000 Per Year!

obamacare piggy bank

By Gary P Jackson

On the campaign trail back in 2008 candidate Barack Obama repeatedly claimed his “health care plan” would reduce the insurance premium of every family by $2500 a year:

Of course, he lied!

Obama smiling

A few days ago Avik Roy writing for Forbes noted: [emphasis mine]

Rate Shock: In California, Obamacare To Increase Individual Health Insurance Premiums By 64-146%

Last week, the state of California claimed that its version of Obamacare’s health insurance exchange would actually reduce premiums. “These rates are way below the worst-case gloom-and-doom scenarios we have heard,” boasted Peter Lee, executive director of the California exchange. But the data that Lee released tells a different story: Obamacare, in fact, will increase individual-market premiums in California by as much as 146 percent.

One of the most serious flaws with Obamacare is that its blizzard of regulations and mandates drives up the cost of insurance for people who buy it on their own.

This problem will be especially acute when the law’s main provisions kick in on January 1, 2014, leading many to worry about health insurance “rate shock.

More here.

Now this from CNS News: [emphasis mine]

In a final regulation issued Wednesday, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) assumed that under Obamacare the cheapest health insurance plan available in 2016 for a family will cost $20,000 for the year.

Under Obamacare, Americans will be required to buy health insurance or pay a penalty to the IRS.

The IRS’s assumption that the cheapest plan for a family will cost $20,000 per year is found in examples the IRS gives to help people understand how to calculate the penalty they will need to pay the government if they do not buy a mandated health plan.

The examples point to families of four and families of five, both of which the IRS expects in its assumptions to pay a minimum of $20,000 per year for a bronze plan.

The annual national average bronze plan premium for a family of 5 (2 adults, 3 children) is $20,000,” the regulation says.

Bronze will be the lowest tier health-insurance plan available under Obamacare–after Silver, Gold, and Platinum. Under the law, the penalty for not buying health insurance is supposed to be capped at either the annual average Bronze premium, 2.5 percent of taxable income, or $2,085.00 per family in 2016.

In the new final rules published Wednesday, IRS set in law the rules for implementing the penalty Americans must pay if they fail to obey Obamacare’s mandate to buy insurance.

More here

We all remember this arrogant statement from then Speaker of the House, Nancy Pelosi:

Was she ever right! The corrupt politicians in Washington passed this massive boondoggle, and now the American people are learning every day more and more what is in this treacherous bill.

Not only must ObamaCare be repealed, but those who voted for it held responsible. This is a direct assault on the American people. It cannot be allowed to go unanswered.

CNN’s IRS Coverage Actually Compares Tea Party to Muslim Terror Groups, Plays Race Card Too!

This is CNN

By Gary P Jackson

I don’t know why this surprises me even a little bit.

In order to take some heat off the Obama regime, CNN’s Sahar Aziz, under the title Muslims to Tea Party: Welcome to Our World, writes one of the most dishonest things to come out of the liberal network in days.

Aziz tries to equate Muslim “charities” that were investigated after the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001 to Obama’s assault on law abiding Patriots who have a different political philosophy from his. He then turns it into a racist rant.

Fact is, these “charities” the IRS investigated, turned out to nothing but front groups for various terrorist organizations. The money they raised was used to fund terrorist operations world wide.

Here’s a taste of Aziz’s incredibly dishonest reporting: [emphasis mine]

But some in the Muslim community might have a question – why are conservatives so surprised (and outraged) by this news when Muslim nonprofits and their leaders have been under intense scrutiny for over a decade? And when so many Muslim groups and individuals have faced scrutiny simply for the religion they follow?

Within months after 9/11, the U.S. government shut down the three largest Muslim American charities as part of a broader scorched earth strategy that sent a chill across American Muslim communities nationwide. Their boards of directors were arrested and many were prosecuted on pretextual violations of immigration or tax laws. None of the charities had anything to do with the 9/11 attacks, al Qaeda, or the Taliban. That they were Islamic charities was all the government needed to seal their fate before a suspicious and traumatized American public.

Actually many of these “charities” investigated were indeed terrorist fronts, and shut down, not innocent scapegoats to appease “racist” Americans. There was a reason why people were arrested.

Since then, new Muslim charitable organizations have faced heightened scrutiny from the IRS, with applications for many seeking nonprofit status taking years to process. My experience representing some of these organizations, and the anecdotes I hear from other attorneys in the same boat, have turned up example after example of selective targeting.

Even when organizations are able to make progress with their applications, they find themselves asked to provide additional information to the IRS, and are left with no choice but to patiently comply. Their files are often referred to the national office for further processing and in-depth national security checks on every board member. Upon expressing surprise at the unusual length of time and scrutiny, I was informed this was standard procedure after 9/11 for Muslim charities. In stark contrast to the average six to nine months application process other groups face, some Muslim nonprofit organizations have typically waited for two or more years.

People are rightly concerned by allegations that the IRS applied its powers in a discriminatory fashion. This is not how the federal government is supposed to work. Yet while some may see the case of Muslim organizations and Tea Party affiliated groups as different, the same principles are involved – the uneven application of the law and discriminatory treatment directed at a minority. In one case the minority is targeted for its faith, while in another they are targeted for their politics.

But something I find troubling is that for the largely white, conservative, anti-government Tea Partiers and their supporters it is apparently acceptable to target legal immigrants or first generation American Muslims in the name of national security, even as any singling out based on political affiliation is treated as an outrage.

Oh yes, when all else fails, blame whitey! Standard operating procedure of the left.

Oh, and if any liberals are reading this, Tea Partiers aren’t “anti-government,” far from it, in fact. We just want to follow the Constitution, and have a smaller, more efficient government, as our founders envisioned.

The reason why Islamic groups are facing such scrutiny is simple: Terrorism. For sure, not all Muslims are terrorists, but all of these terrorists turn out to be Muslims.

Our Constitution does protects citizens, but it is NOT a suicide pact.

Still, despite the vastly different public responses, the targeting of these seemingly unrelated groups is predictable. Why? Because once selective targeting is normalized, it is only a matter of time before such practices have an impact on other minorities and eventually political dissidents.

Gee, I wonder why the IRS put special scrutiny on Muslim “charities” seeking tax exempt status? Could it be they have a long record of using funds generated to fund terror? Not according Aziz! It has to be racism, not national security interests.

On the other hand, there is not a single case of any Tea Party member committing an act of terror, or funding one. Remember, the Tea Party is the group that can have as many as a million people show up at a rally, and leave the grounds better than they found them, picking up after themselves, and leaving the area in pristine condition.

The Tea Party is made up of normal men and women of every race, color, and creed. They share in the belief that the Constitution is the law of the land, which it is, and our founders’ vision of America.

Obviously, not all Muslims are terrorists, in fact the vast majority are just people, trying to live their lives, but there is a long, storied history of Muslim “charities” being nothing but fronts for terror groups.

If Aziz had at least acknowledged the fact that some Muslim “charities” were investigated after 9/11 and found to be terror groups, it would be easier to take him seriously, but like most liberals, he lies, them when all else fails, plays the race card. How original. How tedious.

One thing I do agree with Aziz on, is the fact that once tyrants are able to get away with tyranny, that tyranny only grows stronger. Aziz describes it as normalizing selective targeting. What he means is accepting corruption and tyranny. This tyranny comes from the top.

President Obama Lies Again! “Fired” IRS Stooge Steve Miller Was Leaving in June Anyway

By Gary P Jackson

Once again Barack Obama proves the old adage that democrats will lie when the truth would work better.

Wednesday evening President Obama talked to the American people, saying he was “angry” about the IRS attacking Conservatives, and announced his scapegoat, Steve Miller, a man who we learned investigated those who opposed Bill Clinton back in the 1990s.

Miller was basically a temp, and was scheduled to leave the job in June anyway.

Take it away Barry:

From the Daily Mail:

President Barack Obama has thrown his acting IRS commissioner overboard, making Steven Miller the highest-ranking political casualty thus far in a series of scandals that have swept his administration in recent weeks.

In a hastily called press conference in the East Room of the White House, Obama told reporters that he had asked Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew to find out who was responsible for a program that targeted tea party groups and other conservative organizations for a special level of intrusive questioning after they applied for tax-exempt charitable statuses.

Lew took the first step by requesting and accepting the resignation of the acting director of the IRS,’ Obama said.

It’s important,’ he added, ‘to institute new leadership that can help restore confidence going forward.

But in an email to IRS employees, Miller claimed he would only be leaving next month because his assignment would be over.

Read more here.

It’s been noted by others, that Miller wasn’t in charge of the IRS when the assault on the Tea Party and other groups began.

Our Whitney Pitcher tweeted:

Dennis Miller added:

Looking at Miller’s past, there is no doubt he was involved in some of this, approving of the attacks, but he wasn’t the ringleader of the gang. Others were in charge, and others need to be fired, and go to jail. Including Obama himself.

From now own, when Obama walks into a room, instead of playing ““Hail to the Chief” we should hear this instead:

“Experts,” Without Knowing Sarah Palin’s Actual Diet, Proclaim it Causes Cancer, Heart Disease

Sarah Palin looks into the camera and points as if to stay “Hey corrupt media, stop making things up!

By Gary P Jackson

I thought I was done with this stupidity last week after addressing the 100s of “me too” articles proclaiming Sarah Palin was [all of a sudden] “scary skinny.” Evidently not.

As readers know, Sarah is in the process of writing a diet and exercise book. Having already penned two New York Times number one best sellers, it seems the media is doing it’s best to make sure this book doesn’t reach the same huge audience.

A gorgeous, fit and trim Sarah Palin sits in the Dancing With The Stars audience on Oct. 8. / Adam Taylor, ABC

Now “experts,” who haven’t seen the unwritten as of yet book, and have absolutely no details about the Palins’ diet, are already claiming it to be unhealthy, and likely to cause cancer and heart problems.

Here’s a version of the latest bullshit, from US News and World Report oddly enough, in the Washington Whispers section:

Sarah Palin responded to criticism of her very thin appearance in new photos online this week by telling People magazine that she was working on a fitness book. “Our family is writing a book on fitness and self-discipline focusing on where we get our energy and balance as we still eat our beloved homemade comfort foods!” she told the celebrity magazine in an E-mail. “We promise you what we do works and allows a fulfilling quality of life and sustenance anyone can enjoy.

But several prominent nutritionists says Palin’s diet might not be so healthy.

Gabrielle Shaughness, a nutritionist based both in New York and Washington, tells Whispers that the likely new diet of the 2008 Republican party vice presidential nominee could lead to a number of life-threatening diseases.

Though Palin, who is 48, has not released the details of her new diet, she has previously spoken out a number of times in support of low-carb, high-protein diets. In 2008, she told the Wall Street Journal that she and her family ate a diet “heavy in wild Alaskan seafood, moose, caribou and fresh fruit.” Throughout her campaign, the former Alaska governor professed a love of moose cheese dogs and moose chili.

Shaughness says she does not promote low-carb, high-protein diets to her clients because of their health risks. “High animal protein diets are high in saturated fat and cholesterol,” she says. “They are damaging to the arteries, and can cause diabetes, cancer, and cardiovascular disease.

Susan Levin, director of nutrition education at the Physicians Committee for Responsible Medicine, a Washington-based nonprofit that promotes plant-based diets, tells Whispers she is “very comfortable saying” that a low-carb, high-protein diet is “a bad idea.”

Low-carb, high-protein diets are lacking in fiber, phytochemicals, and antioxidants,” she says. “You can lose weight adopting this, but it’s difficult to sustain because you don’t feel very good.

A study published in the British Medical Journal in July found that low-carb, high-protein diets were popular with women trying to achieve weight loss, but that the diets came with an increased risk of heart disease. A study published in the Nutrition Journal on low-carb diets in June came up with similar results.

You may be skinny but the inside of your body will not be in great shape,” Shaughness says. “At what cost is looking good?

First off, Sarah Palin isn’t exactly “skinny.” Yes, she is what some might consider petite, but she has fantastic muscle tone. Also, she is in fantastic physical shape. She has a workout routine that would wear most people out, and that’s how she starts her day! She’s also a long distance runner. You have to be in excellent physical condition to do these sort of activities.

Silly liberals, this woman isn’t skinny. This is what a happy, healthy person looks like. Being liberals, we understand why this is confusing.

Let’s look a little further though. The Palins eat organic almost exclusively. Almost 100% of the meat, fish, and fowl they eat at home is something they hunted or fished for themselves. The wild game they eat is far leaner than the typical meat that the average American eats. In other words, low in saturated fat.

Todd and Sarah own a commercial fishing business, and they haul in thousands of pounds of salmon every year. A good amount of this ends up in their home freezer! Salmon is high in antioxidants. Smoked salmon, a Palin household staple, is incredibly healthy, what one might call a “super-food.”

From Livestrong’s website:

Photo Credit: Fresh delicious smoked salmon image by Ewa Kubicka from Fotolia.com

[emphasis mine]

Smoked salmon is cured and then smoked either hot or cold. It is most usual for salmon to be cold-smoked, which does not cook the fish and results in a light, smooth texture. Hot smoking results in a more jerky-like texture. Smoked salmon is relatively expensive, but the health benefits relating to the antioxidant and omega-3 content of smoked salmon justify a high price.

Vitamins A, B, D, and E

Vitamins A, B, D and E occur plentifully in smoked salmon and provide antioxidants. The antioxidants from vitamins A, B, and D are credited with preserving eye function and vision, and they also aid calcium absorption in the body.

Vitamin E helps to regulate the function of bodily organs and cells and has the ability to act as an anti-inflammatory for blood vessels. This is helpful for general blood circulation and is especially beneficial for individuals with Type 2 diabetes.

In addition, vitamin E is necessary for retinal development and for preventing macular degeneration and cataract formation.

Antioxidants in Smoking Process

The smoking process introduces further antioxidants into smoked salmon, according to a 2009 study which compared the oils extracted from smoked salmon before and after smoke processing.

Commercial antioxidants, including ethoxyquin and butylated hydroxytoluene, may be added to the oils with the aim of reducing oxidation of the smoked salmon during and after the smoking process.

The health benefits of antioxidants stem from their ability to combat free radicals. Free radicals have been implicated as a risk factor for heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer’s disease and stroke.

Free radicals are typically found in meats–especially blackened meats–and fried food. Antioxidants are found in fruit and vegetables as well as in smoked salmon.

Consuming the antioxidants in smoked salmon protects the health of the skeleton, eyes, heart and circulatory system, while also offering a degree of protection against stroke, cancer, Alzheimer’s and other diseases caused by free radicals.

So, far from being unhealthy, we learn that the Palin family diet is actually designed to combat the diseases the dishonest media’s “experts” claim it will cause. I’m shocked, shocked I tell ya!

Dr Richard Bernstein, himself a diabetic since 1946, has written a book about diabetes and the benefits of a low carb diet. He notes in the article here that “even today, many physicians ignore the need for normal blood sugars and focus on dietary fat.” Dr Bernstein notes further: “Recent results consistently support low carbohydrate, high protein diets, not only for blood sugar control, but also with regard to weight loss and cardiac risk.

It would seem those so-called “nutritionists” the media trotted out may have been all wrong!

A well balanced diet is essential, as is exercise, something I’m pretty sure Sarah will agree with in her book. Eating a healthy diet, something the Palins do, mixed with exercise, allows a person in reasonable good health to indulge in occasional “comfort food” as well as treats that would otherwise make you fat.

It’s funny, liberals consistently tell us that Sarah Palin is irrelevant, but the corrupt media has latched on to the notion of her writing a fitness book with the tenacity generally reserved for stories of national importance, say Obama’s Benghazi coverups, or the many lies he’s told about ObamaCare, such as it isn’t a tax increase, if you like your doctor you can keep him and death panels, what death panels!

I for one am interested in what she has to say, and hope she includes a lot of recipes that can be modified a bit so one can use more readily available sources of lean protein. Not many moose in Texas!

For some reason US News felt compelled to include this video of Sarah hunting for low fat sources of meat. So I might as well too.

If you saw the entire episode, Sarah’s dad Chuck had taken a nasty fall, and knocked her gun’s sight off. After missing the caribou, she takes a gun from their buddy, that she had never shot before, and nails the animal with the first shot.

BTW, if you eat well, exercise, and live right, you might not look this good, but you’ll definitely feel good:

David Dewhurst is Lying About Ted Cruz on China. Period!

David Dewhurst a lying liar who lies

By Gary P Jackson

If you live in Texas, you’ve seen the dishonest attack ads Lt Governor David Dewhurst, the GOP Establishment candidate for the U.S. Senate has been running against Tea Party and Sarah Palin favorite Ted Cruz.

For the past month we have seen ads from Dewhurst attacking Ted Cruz, the former Solicitor General of Texas, over his law firm’s representation of a Chinese firm that makes tires. In dispute is the ownership of the particular intellectual property involved in a certain tire.

Dewhurt’s entire ad is dishonest. For one, it makes it seem Ted Cruz was directly involved in the lawsuit, and representation of the company in question. Cruz was not. Yes, the firm he works for was, and is, but Cruz had no involvement with trying the case.

Also, Dewhurst’s ads have featured the aggrieved businessman, who claims he was wronged by the Chinese firm. They portray this man as an American businessman, and falsely claim that [thanks to Cruz] American jobs have been lost. This is a lie. The man in the Dewhurst ads whining about Cruz actually moved his company to China 20 years ago!

Today Mark Levin tweeted: “Dewhurst thinks Texas Republicans are stupid… ” He also inclued a link to a National Review Online article by Brian Bolduc that sets the record straight. I urge all Texans, as well as concerned Conservatives to read the truth here.

On Ted Cruz’s website John Drogin has this to say:

Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst is lying about Ted Cruz on China. Period.

Like President Obama, Lt. Gov. Dewhurst is desperate to talk about anything but his own dismal record – pushing an income tax disguised as a “wage tax” and increasing spending $72 billion – so he distracts, deceives, and diverts.

But voters aren’t buying what he’s selling.

When we tell people the truth about Dewhurst’s China lies, they get it. And they get mad that Dewhurst is trying to deceive them. So here’s a short summary of the facts for you and any friends who may be interested:

The moderate establishment will always cling to power. The only hope Dewhurst has is to spend millions lying about Ted Cruz, the proven conservative endorsed by Sarah Palin, Tea Party Express, Rand Paul and many others.

Here’s a new radio ad we just released statewide featuring conservative radio host Mark Levin calling Ted a “proven warrior for liberty” and addressing head-on the Dewhurst lies.

We’re in the home stretch. Since Sarah Palin’s endorsement last week, we’ve gotten over 1000 contributions, and–thanks to you–our momentum is off the charts. Keep spreading the word, vote early (now), and get 12 of your friends to do the same.

Together, we’re going to win.

Early voting runs today through May 25th. Please be sure to vote, invite 12 friends to vote, and share the truth with them about Dewhurst’s China lies.

Following the tremendous victory in Indiana over a 36-year entrenched moderate Republican, here’s what conservative columnist Bill Kristol had to say: Texas is Next….

David Dewhurst is part of the Republic Establishment, and as I wrote earlier today, real reformers like Ted Cruz are not wanted by the GOP elites.

For those not familiar with Texas’ form of government, the Lt Governor is equal to, if not more powerful than the Governor. It’s the Lt Governor who sets the legislative agenda and wields a lot of power.

One of the initiatives that Governor Perry talked about, but Lt Governor Dewhurst managed to kill was legislation stopping the TSA form groping Texans at airports. Tough anti-groping legislation passed the Texas House. Dewhurst killed the bill.

It’s also been said that Dewhurst worked to kill legislation that would have banned so-called sanctuary cities in Texas. Sanctuary cities are cities that allow illegal aliens safe haven, not only refusing to enforce the law, but advertising their city as a safe haven for illegals, thus acting as a magnet.

On the other hand, Ted Cruz as Solicitor General has fought hard to secure Liberty and Freedom for all Texans.

From Ted’s bio page:

rom 2003-08, Ted served as the Solicitor General of Texas, the chief lawyer for the State before the U.S. Supreme Court and all the state and federal appellate courts. Cruz was the youngest Solicitor General in the nation, the longest serving Solicitor General in Texas, and the first Hispanic Solicitor General in Texas.

Ted has authored over 80 U.S. Supreme Court briefs and personally argued 40 oral arguments, including 9 before the U.S. Supreme Court.

Under the leadership of Attorney General Greg Abbott, Ted defended Texas values, winning repeatedly on a national level. During Ted’s service as Solicitor General, Texas achieved an unprecedented series of landmark national victories, including successfully defending:

*U.S. sovereignty against the World Court in Medellin v. Texas.

*The Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms;

*The constitutionality of the Texas Ten Commandments monument;

*The constitutionality of the words “under God” in the Pledge of Allegiance;

*The constitutionality of Texas Sexually Violent Predator Civil Commitment law; and

*The Texas congressional redistricting plan.

Ted has been described by National Review as “a Republican star rising in Texas,” and as “a great Reaganite hope.

The National Law Journal called him “a key voice” to whom “the [U.S. Supreme Court] Justices listen.

He was named by American Lawyer magazine as one of the 50 Best Litigators under 45 in America, by the National Law Journal as one of the 50 Most Influential Minority Lawyers in America, and Texas Lawyer as one of the 25 Greatest Lawyers of the Past Quarter Century.

Ted currently serves as a Partner at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP in Houston, where he leads the firm’s U.S. Supreme Court and national Appellate Litigation practice. In addition, from 2004-09, he taught U.S. Supreme Court Litigation as an Adjunct Professor of Law at the University of Texas School of Law.

Prior to serving as Solicitor General, Ted served as the Director of the Office of Policy Planning at the Federal Trade Commission, an Associate Deputy Attorney General at the U.S. Department of Justice, and Domestic Policy Advisor on the 2000 Bush-Cheney campaign.

In addition, Ted clerked for Chief Justice William Rehnquist on the U.S. Supreme Court. He was the first Hispanic ever to have clerked for the Chief Justice of the United States.

Funny, President Barack Obama claims to be a constitutional scholar, and law professor. Well, Ted Cruz actually is one, and has the record of success to back it up.

The choice for Texans couldn’t be more clear.

Do we want another go along, get along GOP establishment hack, who is unwilling to defend Texas against a runaway federal government, and the invasion of illegals across our southern border? Or do we want a proven champion of Liberty and Freedom who will go to Washington and shake things up?

I say vote Ted Cruz. He’s right for Texas, and right for America!

WaPo’s Dana Milbank, Repeats Lie About Sarah Palin in Order to Trash Mitt Romney

By Gary P Jackson

I had a different title in mind for this, but didn’t want to insult certain sacks of waste products, lying around, or not.

The actual target of Milbank’s latest waste of bandwidth is Mitt Romney. The article entitled “Mitt Romney won’t stand up to his own party.” is meant to imply that Romney is a wimp who can’t stand up to the “radicals” in his own party. Because wanting fiscal responsibility and a smaller, more efficient government is a truly radical concept to a democrat like Milbank.

In order to trash Mitt Romney, Milbank drags Sarah Palin into his nonsensical rant in the first paragraph:

Almost four years ago, I was watching Sarah Palin rile up a Clearwater, Fla., crowd with anti-Obama broadsides when a spectator let loose a bloodcurdling cry of “kill him!

He actually links to his own story, with no other actual proof, as his “proof” the event occurred.

It’s been said that if you tell the Big Lie long enough, it becomes truth. My guess is this is Milbank’s favorite quote. He is certainly adept at keeping the Big Lie alive.

He goes on to trash Romney saying:

Now that the year is again divisible by four, the anti-Obama hatred is flaring anew. But I worry that Obama’s current opponent doesn’t have the strength of character to push back against the most dangerous voices on his side.

The latest sign of trouble came Monday, when a woman speaking at a Mitt Romney event in Euclid, Ohio, said that Obama was operating outside of the Constitution and “should be tried for treason.” Many in the crowd of 500 applauded this call for the commander in chief of the United States to be charged with a capital offense.

Romney told reporters he didn’t bother to “correct” every attendee at his events. Nor should he. I’m not sure anything Obama has done constitutes treason, as that is a very high bar to jump, but he has most certainly committed criminal acts, with one biggie, Fast & Furious, causing many deaths in Mexico as well as along our own border. There are at least two American law enforcement officials who are dead. Killed by guns Obama’s Justice Department gave to members of the Mexican drug cartel. Barack Obama and Eric Holder are culpable in the murders of both Mexican and American citizens. That is a fact.

Milbank also hit’s Romney for not doing more to defend Richard Grenell, the foreign policy adviser who worked with John Bolton before being hired by Romney. Grenell was openly gay, and it’s been alleged that the religious right attacked Romney and demanded he get rid of Grenell, but there is little hard evidence of this, and Romney did publicly state he wanted Grenell to stay. No telling what went on behind the scenes, but knowing Grenell’s penchant for going off on Twitter, I’d say that was more his undoing than him being gay.

Let’s not forget that Robert Traynham, Rick Santorum’s Communications Director in the Senate for 7 years, is openly gay. The evangelicals were in love with Santorum, and were quite OK with Traynham, so why would they not be OK with Grenell?

You can read more of Milbank’s crap here.

Let’s get back to the Big Lie. The one who originally reported on this was, you guessed it, Dana Milbank. But there is a twist. Allegedly someone shouted “kill him” at Sarah’s mention of murdering terrorist Bill Ayers, not Obama. It was Frank Rich of the New York Times who actually transferred this alleged threat from terrorist Ayers, over to Barack Obama.

The Milbank-Rich tag team has run with the Big Lie ever since.

The Secret Service investigated the incident at the time and found there was no “there” there.

The Big Lie was repeated in the failed HBO movie Game Change. Writing for Andrew Breitbart’s Big Hollywood under the heading: “Whom Do You Believe: HBO or Secret Service?” Larry O’Conner, describing a scene in the movie, points out: [emphasis mine]

The montage that follows, at the 97:43 mark, shows Gov. Palin bouncing from one speech to another whipping the all-white, trucker hat wearing, American flag-waving crowds into a hate-filled frenzy. The editors show that incendiary signs begin showing up at McCain-Palin rallies (We want a REAL American for President – 98:25) and random white, racist fore-fathers of the Tea Party movement shout out “terrorist” at the mere mention of Obama’s name.

With dramatic, foreboding background music, and lighting that looks like a horror film — a dignified and respected McCain addresses one of these racists crowds that has been whipped up into a murderous frenzy by Palin. “He’s a Muslim!” “He’s a socialist!” Scream the ignorant haters at his campaign rally.

Then, at 99:08, you hear a disembodied voice scream out, “Kill him!” Cut to Woody Harrelson portraying McCain campaign adviser Steve Schmidt, looking horrified, disgusted and ashamed that he had sullied the reputation of our greatest American by forever linking him to Palin and the hate-filled racists she attracts, nay, encourages.

Dramatic, huh? And a clever way for the media elite in Hollywood to explain how their favorite Republican, John McCain, was turned into the bete noir of the 2008 campaign. It wasn’t his fault, you see, it was that stupid, hate-monger Palin who made him look bad.

The “kill him!” legend began with Dana Millbank at the Washington Post on October 6. Milbank reported that an unnamed voice screamed from the crowd, “kill him!” at the mention of Bill Ayers, NOT Barack Obama.

But the legend grew and was linked and repeated by blogs and journalists all the way up (down?) to Frank Rich at the New York Times who transformed the target of the unsubstantiated “kill him!” report from Ayers to candidate Obama.

At the time of the allegation, Obama had a Secret Service detail assigned to him and these folks don’t take a death threat reported in the New York Times lightly. They investigated it and found: The agent in charge of the Secret Service field office in Scranton said allegations that someone yelled “kill him” when presidential hopeful Barack Obama’s name was mentioned during Tuesday’s Sarah Palin rally are unfounded.”

It takes a lot of of nerve to let your myopic hatred of Palin, and the passionate Americans who supported her in 2008, blind you to reality in such a way that you freely allow a legend that has been shot down in such a thorough way to make its way into your already slanted and cartoon-like portrayal of one of the most complex women in our country. But that’s what these people have done.

There’s another video out there, one that was posted in the comments on Milbank’s Washington Post article. I want to post it here to show you just how far democrats will go to tell the Big Lie, and how stupid and gullible many of their rank and file are.

This is not a Sarah Palin rally, but a McCain rally. If you remember, in 2008 the mere mention of Obama’s name among Conservatives would set off a series of boos. Poor old John “Fight With Me My Friends” McCain never tapped into that.

Anyhow, as you will clearly hear, a woman in the crowd shouts “No Obama!”, but the dishonest video maker claims she says “Kill Obama” instead. The video’s creator actually uses the word “they” to mean the entire crowd.

Listen for yourself.

As Americans, we can no longer sit back and let the lying, dishonest media continue to print lies that have been exposed years ago. These lying liars who lie must be called out at every turn. Allowing slimy, dishonest tools of the democrat party to get away with this again and again is why our country is on the verge of collapse.

It’s why good and decent people want no part of the political process. Why we end up with so many inferior people in Washington.

We’ve stood by far too long and allowed lies to be told about very good people. We’ve allowed reputations to be ruined and careers ended by the democrat industrial media complex, the propaganda wing of the democrat party.

Just yesterday I got in a heated argument with a fellow Tea Party member who didn’t like my thoughts on why Mitt Romney was still better than Barack Obama. I was accused of “fiercely defending Romney” for simply stating the obvious. I’m not Mitt Romney’s biggest fan, but I most certainly don’t think he’s the Great Satan™ many over zealous Tea Party members think he is. And Mitt is certainly an upgrade over Obama. But let’s face it, any randomly selected person would likely be an upgrade as well!

Let me tell you something, the reason we have Mitt Romney as our nominee, and not a true leader like Sarah Palin, is because far too many Conservatives sat on their asses and allowed the attacks on Sarah Palin for the last four years to go unanswered.

The far left, and the corrupt Republican Establishment, worked overtime to discredit Sarah. She is an existential threat to the corrupt Washington machine. They know they must destroy her, or she will destroy them. They know all too well what she did to the corrupt Republicans in Alaska.

Her reputation as a corruption buster goes all of the way back to her earliest days as a Wasilla City Councilwoman and fellow member Nick Carney, who wanted to pass an ordinance that would have city residents using his company’s garbage hauling service exclusively. Carney, actually recruited Sarah to run for her seat on the city council, but when it came time to do what was right for the people of Wasilla, Sarah didn’t hesitate to stand up and say no to Carney and his self serving proposal.

The corruption busting she did as Governor is legendary. The old guard Republicans are scared to death of her. Maybe even more than the corrupt democrats. The GOP Elite know just how corrupt they are, and where they would end up. Again, this is why she must be destroyed.

Here’s the thing, Sarah is still standing, and still fighting, but sadly, is not our nominee, because too many Conservatives sat back rather than fight.

Now we have Mitt Romney, no one’s first choice. [or second choice, or third choice ….] But here’s the deal, if the left wing smear machine can stop Sarah Palin, someone of immense strength and character, how do you think Mitt Romney will fare?

Most Americans are ready to dump Obama, but he ain’t going without a fight. And it is going to be a nasty fight. A real nasty fight.

The left understands the Republican Party is in crisis. The Conservative base, the majority of the party, is sick of the leadership. Sick of the go along, get along crowd. Sick of the corruption. The democrats will try and capitalize on this. DO NOT LET THEM.

Beating Obama is the most important thing, as Americans, we will ever do. The very existence of the United States as a nation hangs in the balance. America may never fully recover from the destruction Obama and his minions have caused. It will not survive another 4 years of Obama.

So here’s the thing, Romney is our nominee. We must not allow our differences to divide us and let Obama and the radical left win.

The fact is, Obama and his henchmen [as well as some of the GOP Elites] think they have won. Every single Republican candidate is going to get the Palin treatment. Now I know some will say that not all Republicans are worth fighting for, and frankly, in normal times, I would tend to agree. But these are not normal times.

We owe it to our fellow Americans to stand up and defend those who are willing to serve in our name. As we saw last night, with the landslide victory by Richard Mourdock over Richard Lugar, many of the corrupt Republican Elite are going to be out of a job when the new Congress is sworn in. That’s a good thing. These are the battles we must fight. But at the same time, once we have a nominee, it’s time to get behind them, and make sure the left cannot get away with telling lies.

There will always be another election to deal with those who we elect that don’t live up to expectations.

I know our readers will defend Sarah Palin with their dying breath, because they believe in her and know from experience that she is the real thing. I also know many are reluctant to defend some of our other nominees, including Mitt Romney, especially knowing the history between Romney staffers, Sarah, and her supporters. I know some are never going to feel great about Romney as our nominee, but we must remember that allowing the left to get away with trashing Sarah is how we ended up with Romney in the first place.

Let me repeat that.

Allowing the smear merchants to get away with lying about Sarah Palin is why Mitt Romney is our nominee. Plain and simple.

This is no longer even about Mitt Romney. It’s about standing up against the left. No longer allowing the democrat propaganda machine to get away with lying about anyone. Had we fought them with all of our might, we’d have a different nominee now. You know I am right about this.

Liars like Dana Milbank have been able to keep the Big Lie going because far too many just sit back and do nothing.

Doing nothing is no longer an option.

Remember what is at stake the next time you see one of these smear merchants in action.

Oh, and don’t think we are not going to hold those darling Republican Elites responsible as well. But making Obama a one-term president, and winning back the Senate, while gaining seats in the House, with Conservatives, is something we must concentrate on.

Our nation’s future, your future, depends on it.

Was Steve Schmidt Qualified to Be McCain’s Campaign Manager?

By Gary P Jackson

Those who were paying attention during the 2008 presidential election know of John McCain’s campaign manager Steve Schmidt, and his equally incompetent cohort Nicole Wallace. We also know that the Schmidt’s many failures during that election were so strong, and so damaging to his already dubious reputation, he, and Wallace, looked for a scapegoat to pin the blame on.

In fact, as John Nolte reported on Andrew Breitbart’s Big Hollywood a memo was released that proves the attempt to “save” Schmidt and help rewrite history in a way to make him look good, and Sarah Palin, the only bright spot in that campaign, look bad.

Schmidt has consistently lied about the facts of the campaign. Many of those lies ended up in the failed HBO movie Game Change. As Stacy Drake pointed out, HBO’s own graphics department helped prove the lies, as they had a “time stamp”” on one scene, describing an incident that never occurred, but was depicted in the movie.

As Stacy proved, at the exact time Schmidt and company alleged Governor Palin was having some sort of mental breakdown, she was in fact out at a campaign event and having a damned good time! Stacy even includes video backup of the events!

Many in the GOP are repeating the lie that Sarah wasn’t vetted, something completely debunked years ago by none other than A.B. Culvahouse, the former Reagan adviser turned high powered D.C. attorney, who vetted all of the prospective vice presidential candidates for John McCain. It’s their objective to repeat the lie long enough that it becomes accepted fact.

With that said, Whitney Pitcher wonders why no one has taken time to vet Steve Schmidt. Had the McCain campaign done their due diligence, and vetted this petty little man, Senator McCain might just be President McCain instead. As Whitney points out Schmidt’s entire résumé is cluttered with failure upon failure. Add in the fact he has no problem dumping on his former employers rather than own up to his own inability to perform, and you start to see where the problem with 2008 truly lies.

Here’s a taste of what Whitney writes for Andrew Breitbart’s Big Government:

In a recent article at the National Review, John McCain’s failed 2008 campaign manager Steve Schmidt is quoted as saying “it will be a very long time before questions about capability and preparedness are not a part of the process.” The implication is that former Alaska Gov. Sarah Palin was neither “prepared” nor “capable” to be vice president in the 2008 cycle, and that now hangs over the current vice presidential selection process.

In his comments about the VP selection process, Schmidt indicates a pretty simple concept– “capability and preparedness” are characteristics that a presidential nominee would seek in his or her running mate.

However, Schmidt’s comments indicate that the selection process and the entire campaign he was involved in during 2008 did not consider such factors, which leads one to ask, “did Steve Schmidt have the ‘capability and preparedness’ necessary to perform his role as campaign strategist?

In other words, let the vetting of Steve Schmidt begin.

The 42 year-old New Jersey native’s campaign experience started with work for four failed state and national races during his mid to late twenties—ranging from the Kentucky Attorney General’s race in 1995 to working as Communication Director for Lamar Alexander’s 2000 presidential bid. He also managed failed Lt. Governor and Senatorial bids in California in 1998.

Schmidt later worked in a few Republican party positions before becoming both a part of the Bush White House and the Bush re-election campaign in 2004, working with Karl Rove and overseeing the re-election “war room.” In fact, he was often called a “Rove protégé,” playing a senior role in the Bush 2004 re-election and later working for the Bush administration on Iraq media communication and with the confirmation processes of Bush Supreme Court appointees . He later worked on Arnold Schwarzenegger’s re-election campaign in 2006.

Steve Schmidt was picked up by the McCain campaign in December of 2006 as a senior adviser to Senator McCain’s presidential campaign-in-waiting. Schmidt was later given “full operational control” of McCain’s presidential bid, amidst some dissatisfaction with the campaign’s trajectory.

[ …. ]

In short, Schmidt was in control of the political and messaging operations of the campaign. Two messaging strategies proved to be costly for the McCain campaign—the handling of both McCain and Palin in general and the error of suspending the campaign in the midst of the financial crisis. The campaign was criticized for waiting nearly two weeks between Governor Palin’s introduction as the VP pick and her first interview with Charlie Gibson.

E-mails of Governor Palin’s obtained by the Anchorage Daily News in January of 2009 noted that prior to being selected as the VP candidate, Governor Palin was slated to give interviews to Newsweek, NPR, Fox News and a host of other outlets at the RNC convention as a McCain campaign surrogate. Yet after she was picked as VP, she was silenced and kept from the media.

This poor campaign messaging approach and shackling of the personable Palin allowed the biased media—including the likes of Tina Fey—to set the tone and narrative of the debate over Palin. Thus, much of the public to this day believe Fey’s words about the proximity of Palin’s home to Russia were instead Palin’s words. The media drove the campaign to be defensive and incoherent rather than assertive and clear.

A third messaging strategy sprouted from the failures of the first two. Leaked memos from the waning days of the McCain campaign indicated that Schmidt and his buddies aimed to protect Schmidt’s reputation in the impending electoral loss. These memos and Schmidt’s desire to deflect blame likely provided the impetus for the anonymous lies spread about Governor Palin’s geographic knowledge following the campaign. The strategy from the leaked memos included reaching out to “influential reporters.” One of these reporters included Game Change co-author Mark Halperin.

Fast forward to 2012, and Schmidt is still attempting to save face by projecting his failures as an incapable strategist onto the Vice Presidential candidate he helped choose and who provided the only spark in an otherwise exceedingly dull campaign. This is why Schmidt played an admitted instrumental role as one of the sources for Halperin’s book and in the HBO adaptation of the book, which fallaciously disparaged Palin while painting a sympathetic image of Schmidt.

For example, the film adaptation of Game Change, whose premiere Schmidt attended, misrepresented the Troopergate scandal [Or as Sarah calls it Tazergate ~Gary] of which Palin was exonerated. Palin’s legal counsel at the time, Thomas van Flein, recounted his first interaction with Schmidt.

Whitney has much more on Schmidt and this attempted rewrite of history, including how he failed to vet Obama properly, or highlight Sarah’s incredible record as Governor of Alaska. Click here to read it all.

Stacy Drake: Thanks HBO! Your Time Stamps in “Game Change” Help Us Prove Your Lies

By Gary P Jackson

Stacy Drake, writing for Andrew Breitbart’s Big Hollywood absolutely destroys any credibility the people who made the propaganda film Game Change may have thought they had.

This is a devastating indictment of HBO, Hollywood, Steve Schmidt, and those who will do anything to stop Sarah Palin and prop up failed president, Barack Obama.

‘Game Change’: Palin Breakdown Meme Crushed by Facts

It has been well established that HBO’s anti-Sarah Palin movie, “Game Change,” is full of distortions about the former vice presidential candidate.

I covered some of them in a piece on Big Hollywood titled “Top 10 Lies of HBO’s ‘Game Change.” In it, I briefly mentioned the fact that the movie depicts Palin as having a mental breakdown during the 2008 campaign.

At the 68 minute mark in the movie, the filmmakers show Palin (Julianne Moore) at a table with campaign staff going over material to prep for her debate against Joe Biden. The movie depicts Palin as being detached and unresponsive. She mutters to herself about missing her baby.

They want you to believe that she had a complete mental meltdown. Just like most of the movie, this simply isn’t true. As a matter of fact, it’s impossible. Keep in mind that at the beginning of that scene, the filmmakers stamp the bottom left-hand corner of the screen with the location and date they claim the events took place. It says “Philadelphia September 27.

In the next scene, Mark Wallace (Ron Livingston) is talking to Steve Schmidt (Woody Harrelson) and Rick Davis (Peter MacNicol) in a conference call about Mark’s concern Palin is “mentally unstable.” Wallace claims she “constantly slips into these catatonic stupors.” He also says that “the debate is in five days.

So, considering that the real Vice Presidential Debate between Palin and Biden took place on October 2nd, they claim this conversation also took place on September 27th. Next scene, cut to a shot of Palin in her bathrobe, losing it, laying on the floor in her hotel room with note-cards scattered all around.

This photo was released by SarahPAC not too long ago (Photo Credit: Shealah Craighead/SarahPAC).

Sarah Palin Debate Prep 2008 Presidential Election

It shows the real Sarah Palin working at the podium, prepping for her debate in Philadelphia. This is the same time and room that the movie depicted, only it shows that Palin is clearly functional. Does she look mentally unhinged?

According to the makers of “Game Change,” Palin spent Sept. 27, 2008 losing her mind while prepping for the upcoming debate with campaign staff, and then in a “catatonic stupor” in her hotel room later that evening. But according to CNN’s Peter Hamby, the real Palin was actually taking questions in a Philadelphia restaurant:

Sarah Palin partook in an established political ritual on Saturday night when she headed to Tony Luke’s in south Philadelphia to order a pair of cheesesteaks with whiz and onions.

But as the kitchen sizzled and orders were barked out, Palin found herself talking politics, calling McCain’s debate performance “awesome” and taking questions from a voter about the hunt for terrorists in Pakistan.

This is actual video from the date that “Game Change” portrayed Palin as having her “meltdown.” Does this look like a woman who spent the better part of the day “slipping into catatonic stupors?”

The next morning, the real Palin met with Blue Star Moms at a downtown Philadelphia coffee house:

Republican vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin met Sunday with a group of military mothers at a downtown eatery, the third day of a swing through this Democratic stronghold.

The Alaska governor, along with her 14-year-old daughter, Willow, spent about 45 minutes sipping a skinny white chocolate mocha and talking privately with four women whose children are serving in the military overseas.

Palin’s son, Track, 19, is deploying for service in Iraq.

As they sat at a table at Di Bruno Bros. gourmet food shop, one of the women, Julie Devitt, got a call from her son, Glen, who deployed to Iraq with the Army in December. She handed the phone to Palin, who spoke with the sergeant briefly.

Also, the night before the phony mental breakdown, the real Palin attended a Presidential debate watching party at an Irish Pub:

Fresh off an afternoon jog along the Schuylkill River, Sarah Palin stopped by a debate watching party at The Irish Pub on Walnut Street in downtown Philadelphia. It was an invite-only event that pulled in about 450 McCain supporters who had been drinking and eating for several hours before the candidate arrived (around 7:20PM EST). It was Palin’s first campaign stop in Philadelphia this cycle.

How do the makers of “Game Change” explain the fact that Palin was (according to their sources) losing her mental grasp, yet at the same time, attending campaign events and talking to the press? People who are truly mentally ill and “constantly falling into catatonic stupors” cannot turn off their symptoms to take questions from CNN.

Does this look like a woman on the verge of a mental breakdown?

Thomas Van Flein, Governor Palin’s attorney during the 2008 campaign, in his interview with Big Hollywood’s Christian Toto last week, stated:

She was focused, diligent and completely involved. I wouldn’t have agreed for her deposition to go forward if she was depressed, fragile or emotionally distraught as portrayed in the movie.” Van Flein suggests it isn’t just his word against the sources relied upon to construct the film. Palin’s campaign plane had plenty of reporters on hand to cover the governor’s every move. Certainly a few members of the press would have dutifully reported a “catatonic” or over-stressed vice presidential candidate had they witnessed one, he says.

HBO didn’t cover those Philadelphia campaign events in their movie. They also didn’t cover much of the 2008 economic collapse, which the McCain campaign was dealing with on and around the date of September 27th. In fact, per Schmidt’s advice, McCain suspended his campaign on September 24th.

The weekend that Palin was in Philadelphia studying and drinking coffee with military moms, the leadership of the McCain camp was having its own meltdown.

In October of 2008, The New York Times wrote an article detailing the McCain campaign’s response to the financial crisis. They wrote (emphasis):

On the morning of Wednesday, Sept. 24, John McCain convened a meeting in his suite at the Hilton hotel in Midtown Manhattan. Among the handful of campaign officials in attendance were McCain’s chief campaign strategist, Steve Schmidt, and his other two top advisers: Rick Davis, the campaign manager; and Mark Salter… The meeting was to focus on how McCain should respond to the crisis — but also, as one participant later told me, “to try to see this as a big-picture, leadership thing.

Schmidt pushed for going all in suspending the campaign, recommending that the first debate be postponed, parachuting into Washington and forging a legislative solution to the financial crisis for which McCain could then claim credit… Schmidt and others convinced McCain that it was worth the gamble…

Schmidt evidently saw the financial crisis as a “true character” moment that would advance his candidate’s narrative. But the story line did not go as scripted. “This has to be solved by Monday,” Schmidt told reporters that Wednesday afternoon in late September, just after McCain concluded his lengthy meeting with his advisers and subsequently announced his decision to suspend his campaign and go to Washington.

McCain failed to deliver the performance that had been promised. Of course, this was no mere movie. America was in crisis…

Steve Schmidt had advised McCain to “go in all the way on the financial crisis so as to reveal his candidate’s true character.

But given a chance to show what kind of president he might be, McCain came off more like a stymied bystander than a leader who could make a difference. Judging by the polls, the McCain campaign has yet to recover.

By the time the September 28th rolled around, the day Schmidt met up with Palin in Philadelphia, everyone knew what a colossal mistake the McCain campaign had made by suspending its operation. Barack Obama came off looking sober in comparison, and the media has touted him as having a “calm demeanor” ever since.

Palin wrote about her time in Philadelphia in the book “Going Rogue.” Not surprisingly, she had a much different take on what happened there. She admits that the debate prep wasn’t very productive. She didn’t like the dark room, the “non-answer, answer” note-cards that they wanted her to study, or the fact that the staff was cranky due to the falling poll numbers since the economic collapse.

Here’s a photo of Palin in the Rangers jersey prepping for her debate with Mark Wallace (Photo Credit: Shealah Craighead).

Sarah Palin -Mark Wallace Debate Prep 2008 Presidential Campaign

Does she look like someone losing her mind, or does she look like someone who is calmly annoyed?

This photo on page 433 is in the book “Going Rogue” with the following description: “This picture says it all. A dark hotel room in Philadelphia and a frustrated Mark Wallace trying to tell me which of his non-answers I should give during debate prep. The atmosphere immediately turned around when we headed to Arizona for more prep in the great outdoors at McCain’s ranch.

When Schmidt took a break from his trip to Washington, DC, he joined the crew prepping for the vice presidential debate. He entered the room they were working in, Palin wrote:

Schmidt leveled his eyes at me. “We don’t have the money Obama does and the numbers don’t look good. We’ve got to change things up.” I agree. I was eager to hear a new strategy. “So,” he continued, “headquarters is flying in a nutritionist.”

Oh, good … the team could probably use a nutritionist,” I said. The chain smoking, junk-food-packing, recirculated-air-breathing habits of some of the staffers were probably catching up to them. They’d been on the road a long time. The more I thought about it, the more I realized Schmidt really did have a great idea.

No, it’s for you,” he said, “You gotta get off that Atkins Diet.

Huh? I had to do a mental double take. The Atkins bars – that must be it. They were everywhere, in every hotel room and on every snack table along the trail. They were great when I didn’t have time to slow down and eat, but I didn’t know why they were all over the place.

I’m not on the Atkins Diet, Steve.” “Don’t you know what a high-protein diet does?” he asked, ignoring what I had just said. He then launched into a discussion of nutrition physiology, holding forth on the importance of carbohydrates to cognitive connections and blah, blah, blah.

As he lectured, I took in his rotund physique and noted that he used nicotine to keep his own cognitive connections humming along.

The movie depicts this in a scene as though Palin’s diet was contributing to her “catatonic” mental state. But in reality, Schmidt was the one losing it. He was in panic mode after witnessing the results of his bad advice, and he turned his focus to obsessing over Palin’s diet.

Here was a guy totally in over his head who had just made the biggest miscalculation of his career. The campaign that he was in charge of was having its own crisis, and he knew the decision that he made was the main reason for that. In order to avert having his own professional crisis, he decided it was time to throw someone under the bus. And under the bus Palin went.

People who are honest and who paid attention during the campaign know what happened in 2008. Eric Schnurer, the liberal founder and president of Public Works has noted:

When the economy (and McCain campaign) collapsed, the McCain-Palin ticket was ahead and just about every Democratic consultant I knew believed they were headed to victory – and that was largely because of Palin, whose selection galvanized a base that McCain needed and otherwise lacked.

Michael Goldfarb, who also worked for the 2008 McCain/Palin campaign, also recently wrote:

We lost that campaign partly because of events beyond our control, and partly as a result of bad counsel given by the same people who are apparently so flatteringly portrayed in this movie. John McCain deserved better than to be betrayed by his own top aides, and true to form he has honorably stuck by Gov. Palin even as she’s been smeared in the press over and over again by the same self-serving former staffers.

Van Flein also spoke to Christian Toto about Schmidt:

The legal eagle recalls his less than positive first encounter with Schmidt, a phone conversation in which the campaign manager yelled repeatedly and used profanity in trying to access emails from Palin’s tenure as governor.

I was troubled to learn he was the campaign manager,” says Van Flein, who ended up participating in several campaign conference calls featuring Schmidt.

My impression was that the campaign was being run by someone who was in over his head and was too emotional to handle the pressure of a campaign was reinforced,” he recalls.

The sources used by HBO to sell this notion that Palin is “unstable” have no credibility. That didn’t stop them from running with it because as many have pointed out recently, they themselves have an agenda. The timing of this film was originally designed to harm Palin in this year’s presidential contest, but she decided not to run.

So the left had to settle for trying to harm any future political aspirations she may have in the future. They want to define Sarah Palin for the country, and they want people to believe that she is unstable, therefore, unfit for office.

This won’t work, however, because what they claim transpired in Philadelphia never happened. The timeline of real events prove the cruelest of lies to be false.
