Powerful Video: “The Last Best Hope”

This is the issue of this election. Whether we believe in our capacity for self-government or whether we abandon the American Revolution and confess that a little intellectual elite in a far distant capitol can plan our lives for us better than we can plan them ourselves.

~ Ronald Reagan, October 27, 1964 from: “A Time For Choosing

By Gary P Jackson

This is simply an incredible video. Created and produced by Ben Howe, the video expresses the both the frustration and the hope of the American people.

Our out of control government has triggered one of the greatest political awakenings in our nation’s history. Ordinary everyday men and women, who have never done anything political in their lives, are coming together, organizing, and making a difference.

All across the nation common sense conservatives have run for office and won their primaries. We have the greatest opportunity in a generation, or more, to turn this nation around, and take government away from the “little intellectual elites” up in Washington, and put it back into the hands of We The People.

November is coming.

Get involved. Get organized. Get ready for November.

I Want Your Money

By Gary P Jackson

Check out this trailer for a new movie opening nationwide on October 15th:

From their website:

Two versions of the American dream now stand in sharp contrast. One views the money you earned as yours and best allocated by you. It champions the traditional American dream, which has played out millions of times through generations of Americans, of improving one’s lot in life and the entrepreneurial spirit of daring to dream and to build big. The other believes that the federal government, using taxpayers’ money, should play a major role in leveling out the nation’s wealth to guarantee outcomes to all, regardless of effort. How America chooses between these two views of the role of government, at this crucial juncture, will have everything to do with the future we and our children and our children’s children will enjoy.

President Barack Obama clearly believes in the larger government view. In his Inaugural Address, he said, “Now there are some who question the scale of our ambitions – who suggest our system cannot tolerate big plans…The question we ask today is not whether our government is too big or too small, but whether it works—whether it helps families find jobs at a decent wage, care they can afford, a retirement that is dignified.” With a federal deficit of nearly one and a half trillion dollars for 2009 and deficit projections of not less than a half a trillion dollars over the next ten years, the question of whether government is too big or too small is very relevant, even vital to the future of the nation.

Join filmmaker Ray Griggs in this documentary film I Want Your Money as he contrasts the two paths the United States can take using the words and actions of Barack Obama and Ronald Reagan. The film uses interviews from well-known public figures, experts, movie clips, dramatic portrayals, music, graphics and even comedic animation to tell the story in the plainest terms of the choice between the Obama and the Reagan views of the role of the federal government in our society. It also examines how these big government programs have been tried in the past at great moral and financial cost to the nation. California is offered as a case-in-point in understanding what economic challenges might face the nation, if we choose the larger government path. Finally, I Want Your Money is a call to action for those who care about the future of the United States.

What Is Mike Castle REALLY Up To In Delaware?

By Gary P Jackson

If you are not familiar with the special election being held in the state of Delaware, for the vacant U.S. Senate seat, let me clue you in. There are two Republicans running: Congressman Mike Castle, and Christine O’Donnell. They will eventually face off with the Marxist-democrat in the race.

Being as this is a special election, the November winner will be seated immediately, and will be able to stop Congress’ attempt to ram some incredibly destructive legislation down America’s throat as a finalFlying Fickle Finger of Fate to the voters who will have thrown them out of office.

With that in mind, sending the right person to Washington is essential. Mike Castle is what most would classify as a RINO. (Republican In Name Only) Looking at his record, I’d have to say he is the enemy of Freedom and Liberty. He is most certainly the enemy of the Constitution, as well as the American people.

Remove RINOs calls him the Ace of Spades of liberal Republicans.

Castle is an establishment Republican and has been in elected office for over 40 years. After serving in state government, he was elected to Congress in 1993, and since that time he has managed to compile one of the most liberal voting records in the GOP.

A few highlights of his liberal record include:

* Mike Castle voted FOR Cap-and-Trade.

* Mike Castle voted FOR the $700 billion TARP bill.

* Mike Castle voted AGAINST the surge in Iraq.

* After ObamaCare was passed into law, Mike Castle refused to support the Repeal movement.

* Voted to ban incandescent light bulbs.

* Voted to investigate George W Bush for impeachment for “lying” about Iraq.

Mike Castle has an alarmingly “progressive” voting record that would make the most radical of leftists quite proud. Read more at RemoveRINOs here.

As crazy as this all sounds, Eric Erickson over at Red State uncovered an even more diabolical plot:

If Mike Castle becomes the next United States Senator from Delaware he is going to get sworn in, serve a bit, then become a Democrat, resign, and let Beau Biden get an appointment.

It’s a done deal. The deal has been made already. I’m hearing this not just from Christine O’Donnell people, but party regulars in Delaware, some of whom support Castle. It is insane.

Maybe that is why Mike Castle is running from Christine O’Donnell. He is afraid to have to answer questions about this. The man will not debate her to save his life.

[ …. }

And here’s another dirty little secret Mike Castle would prefer you not know. This election? It’s a special election. Whoever wins it gets sworn in immediately. Immediately as in prior to any lame duck session of Congress.

In a lame duck session of Congress, would you rather have Christine O’Donnell or Mike Castle? One of the two will defend freedom. The other will become a Democrat.

In case you didn’t know, Beau Biden is the son of Vice President Joe Biden, who also hails from Delaware.

This is pretty fantastic, but with Arlen Specter switching parties, in an effort to win, as well as the other long time RINO Charlie Crist in Florida going independent, and likely to caucus with the Marxists-democrats should he win, this sounds about right.

There is no room in the Republican Party for far left radicals posing as “moderates” or whatever. Guys like Mike Castle are traitors to the people and traitors to the Constitution. Their naked lust for power consumes them. It’s all that matters.

So …. what is one to do?

Support Christine O’Donnell, of course. Christine is a real deal, Common Sense Conservative.

Check out her website: http://christine2010.com/ and follow her on Twitter. Christine is endorsed by the Tea Party Express, and has a compelling life story. She is the kind of leader we need serving in the United States Senate.

Get involved. Send her a buck or two, and donate some time. Make phone calls, go door to door, whatever you can.

Mike Castle would be a disaster for the nation if elected. He’s already done plenty of damage during his career. Times are just too perilous to allow him to continue.

Let’s all do all we can to send Christine O’Donnell to Washington to help turn this nation around.

Study Shows Sarah Palin’s “Mama Grizzlies” Ad Scores Big With Viewers

By Gary P Jackson

When Sarah Palin released the video “Mama Grizzlies” to promote SarahPAC, it was widely praised and thought to be “presidential.” Even Sarah’s critics conceded it was a strong video. Now the group HCD Research has looked at perceptions both before and after viewing the advertisement:

A new national study among 300 self-reported Democrats, Republicans and Independents revealed that after viewing a new ad featuring Sarah Palin and produced by SarahPAC, viewers were more likely to vote for Palin if she ran for president in 2012.

The study was conducted during July 9-12 by HCD Research using its MediaCurves.com® website, to obtain Americans’ perceptions of a new ad by SarahPAC, a political action committee, which was focused on mobilizing conservative women.

Respondents were asked to rate Sarah Palin on a scale from 1-7 regarding likability, believability and sincerity, with 1 representing “not at all strong in this attribute” and 7 representing “extremely strong in this attribute.”

Among all parties likability, believability and sincerity ratings increased after viewing the commercial. The most notable increase was her likability and believability ratings among Independents, which increased from 3.7 to 4.4 and from 3.3 to 3.7 respectively. In addition, Republicans’ dramatically increased their support for Palin as a potential candidate in the 2012 presidential election from 56% to 65% after viewing the ad.

Read more here.

This is survey backs up what we already knew: the SarahPAC video was a home run. The video hits the right notes. It also come on the heels of the latest polling from The Economist, that shows Sarah with a strong lead over all comers for 2012.

The Economist also reports Sarah has a 77 percent favorability rating among Republicans.

Survey: 40% Of Tea Party Patriots Are Democrats And Independents

Our research shows that Tea Party activists’ top concern – economy and jobs — mirrors the majority of voters in the country
. -David Winston, president of The Winston Group

Bad news for Barack Obama and the Marxist-democrat party. Despite what the nonsense their media partners are trying to sell the American people, a significant number of Tea Party Patriots, nearly half, are not Republicans.

The Winston Group conducted three studies from December 2009 through February 2010 and fond that while 57% of the Tea Partiers are indeed Republicans, 28% consider themselves independent and 13% consider themselves democrats.

Their summary:

WASHINGTON DC (April 1, 2010) — Tea Party activists may be ardent supporters of economic conservatism but are similar to the overall electorate when it comes to economic priorities, according to the findings of a new report released by The Winston Group today on the political movement.

In one of the most extensive looks to date at just who Tea Party activists are, how they think, and the ideas that matter to them, the report found that 17% of the people polled considered themselves “part of the Tea Party movement” and more than four in ten Tea Party members said they were either Independents or Democrats.

In three national surveys, done for New Models from December 2009 through February 2010, 57% of Tea Party members called themselves Republicans, another 28% said they were Independents, and 13% were Democrats. Two-thirds of Tea Party members identify as conservatives but 26% say they are moderate and 8% described themselves as liberal

The study also found Tea Party members are more likely to be male by a 56-44% margin, slightly older than the electorate as a whole and middle income earners. When it comes to issues, the research found that Tea Party activists espouse a strong economic conservatism.

In the February 2010 New Models study, 36% of Tea Party members name the economy and jobs as their top issue with national deficit and spending close behind at 21% — over twice as high as the overall electorate. However, when given the choice in the January survey, Tea Party members favored “reducing unemployment to 5%” over balancing the budget 63-32%, which closely reflects the overall electorate (64-32%).

While Tea Party members prioritize job creation over deficit spending and tax issues, they value economically conservative policies because they view them as a means to reducing unemployment and improving the economy. Over 4 out of 5 Tea Party members (85%) say tax cuts for small business will create more jobs than increased government spending on infrastructure while the overall electorate prefers tax cuts by a more modest 61-31% margin.

You can also read the Tea Party Memo April 2010

Couple this with the fact a significant number of these Patriots are minorities, Blacks, Hispanics, and others, and one can see the Marxist-democrat party’s once reliable voters are deserting them en masse.

And the hits just keep on coming! Now there is this bit of bad news for Obama reported by C4P:

We Ask America finds that “[t]he Land of Lincoln may be home base for President Obama, but it joins other Midwestern states having slightly higher disapproval-over approval-ratings.” A majority of Illinois registered voters disapprove of their former junior Senator and former congregant of Trinity United Church of Christ.

The poll was conducted on March 10 but since Barack Obama’s national approval has not increased in the last month, it’s unlikely that he’s performing any better in his home state.

We Ask America also finds longtime Democrat Party hack David Obey’s re-election efforts possibly in jeopardy. Over 53% of the voters in Wisconsin’s 7th Congressional District are less likely to support Obey’s re-election because he voted in favor of Obamacare. Governor Palin endorsed his likely opponent Sean Duffy in mid-February and assisted him with a successful money bomb.

Exit Question(s):

We used to call folks like these “Reagan democrats” and they helped propel Ronald Reagan to two historic landslide election victories in 1980 and 1984. Do we now call them Palin democrats?

Ronald Reagan won 49 states in 1984 when he was re-elected, with his opponent, Walter Mondale, only wining his home state (by 2 points) and the District of Columbia. Will Obama even be able to carry Illinois against Sarah Palin in 2012?

Will Barack Obama start wishing there really were 57 states? (Or is it 58?… I can never keep up!)
