President of Project That Raises Awareness of Americans Killed by Illegal Aliens Endorses Stovall

By Isabel Matos

I’m not from Texas but the primary is coming up (March 4th) and we need someone who can take on and replace John Cornyn for the U.S. Senate seat from Texas.  As I mentioned in earlier posts, Linda Vega is unqualified to do what needs to be done given her deceitfulness already about her stance on Amnesty.  She said she was against it and that was a lie! She tried to fool our community and cannot be trusted to be any different from Senator John Cornyn who is apparently being backed by the establishment.  Texas: The RINO needs to go!

This story got my attention because the woman who is giving the endorsement to Stovall is President of an organization that is trying to bring much needed attention to American victims of illegal alien murders. (What a sharp contrast to Vega.) The endorsement was news for Dwayne Stovall on February 11th.

maria espinosa

Maria Espinoza, president of The Remembrance Project has given Dwayne Stovall her personal endorsement.

“I met Dwayne Stovall in 2012 and can attest to his strong constitutional and conservative principles. Texas families urgently need his unwavering commitment to these principles and I support Dwayne in his quest to become the next great US Senator from Texas. I trust that Dwayne will place the citizens of Texas first, and will fight for the security of our country.”

Dwayne thanked her for the great work she does in both organizations.

“The Remembrance Project, a 501(c)3 non-profit, was created in 2009 to honor and remember Americans who have been killed by illegal aliens. The Remembrance will educate, raise awareness, and conduct outreach in order to support and protect citizens and legal residents, and their families well-being and safety through upholding U.S. laws and following the Constitution.” http://www.theremembranceproject.org/

Here’s Maria (wearing blue) with other activists, including Pedro Rivera, using banners with the names of victims to protest the Senate Bill last summer.

“This was at John Cornyn’s Houston office.  The building managers did not want us on their grass and the cops did not want us in the street.  The police out-numbered us but did not harass us.  Maria, myself and others tried to present a petition to Cornyn’s office and take a pic but the office would not let us.  John Cornyn was not in the office.  That was the same day as the IRS TEA Party protest which I attended after this event.”  ~ Pedro Rivera

This is Dwayne’s Texans for Stovall Facebook link: https://www.facebook.com/IsabelM.Matos#!/TexansForStovall and this is a poll that was posted on the Republican Liberty Caucus Of Congressional District 36:

straw poll
Polls are not always reliable, but as you can see,   Dwaye Stovall is barely ahead of Cornyn, and Linda Vega barely on the map.

Is the Latinos Ready to Vote Founder Linda Vega (Running for Texas US Senate 2014) Attempting to Bamboozle the Palin Community on Amnesty?

linda vega              By Isabel Matos

I don’t know what you were doing last night, but I was busy exchanging tweets with Senatorial Candidate/Immigration Reform activist, Linda Vega. Linda Vega you may have heard was recently on the Kevin Scholla show and later appeared in Conservatives4Palin and other blog sites from the Palin community. My focus in this article is solely on her stance on Amnesty, which is of great concern to Palin Supporters.  We all know how Marco Rubio lost the confidence we placed in him because he lied about being AGAINST Amnesty before he lobbied and shoved it down our throats for months because he was always for it.

We have been down this road before.

Linda Vega is the founder of the page and group Latinos Ready to Vote. It is a fiercely pro-Immigration Reform group, something Ms. Vega denied in our confrontation last night. Vega is using the same tactic Marco used to push it:  its definition, which is nothing but deceptive wording tactics attorneys use to fool voters (she and Rubio are both attorneys).  I will share my experience with the page and group after the tweets and you can decide for yourself whether she is telling the truth or not about Amnesty. Remember, she is seeking to unseat John Cornyn who, like many politicians we have seen in the past, will say one thing publicly and do another when it comes time to vote.

From my viewpoint as a grassroots activist, her comportment was nothing short of unbecoming to me. She IS a U.S. Senatorial candidate, after all.  What if she really wins and her true colors come out like they kind of did last night?  It reminded me of Justice Sotomayor’s attitude as shown in this article. Both attitudes are unbecoming of anyone in high office.

This is just one of many similar articles posted in Page and Group Latinos Ready to Vote:

“And nowhere is it more pressing than in Texas. Republicans cannot win the White House without the state’s 38 electoral votes. The time when a Democrat can snatch the state away outright may be far off, but as Texas’s demographics continue to shift—more than two-thirds of the state’s recent population growth has come from Hispanics, who accounted for 38 percent of Texans in the 2010 census—Republicans have to spend more and more money and time on Texas, and less elsewhere… Even with his emphasis on Tea Party-style political confrontation, George P. has occasionally spoken on the campaign trail about the need for Republicans to empathize with Hispanics.”  (sound familiar?  Just like “P” she insinuated we are hateful.  “Hate is not a solution”, she said.  The comparisons between her and the Bushes on this issue are numerous.)

From my archives February 8th, 2013:  My exchange with Alex Gonzalez (who posted the first comment which I replied to) and Ms. Chavez:

Alex Gonzalez We all can be very proud of Ms. Chavez who for years has been warning pro-life Republicans about these “pseudo conservative groups. “–Linda Chavez Linda Chavez: Strange Bedfellows for Conservatives | | latinosreadytovote.com As conservatives debate what to do about immigration reform in the wake of the GOP’s disastrous showing among Hispanic voters in the 2012 presidential election, they might consider that the groups they’ve allied themselves with to date are strange bedfellows.  Top of Form 1

Diana Endris likes this.

Isabel Matos what is her opinion about rubio’s immigration reform agenda? 2 hours ago ·

Alex Gonzalez she is in 100 % support. even before they came with bi-partisan Senate bill

Isabel Matos Then why would she say Conservatives are teaming up with planned parenthood and others. Is she not including him?

Linda Vega That is the point Isabel, those groups are not true Conservatives. Read the article by Mario Lopez.

Isabel Matos She is referring specifically to pro-life groups. How can she be for pro-life and pro-amesty. Amnesty is not conservative.

Linda Vega Where is the Amnesty coming from? The Article?

Isabel Matos Rubio’s Immigration Reform is Amnesty.

Linda Vega According to whom?

Linda Vega Better yet, clarify for me in the Proposal where the word amnesty is used. Additionally, state where the Proposal states that those who qualify will be allowed under such a definition or program of Amnesty.

Isabel Matos It’s obviously amnesty, and I think it’s a crazy idea to compete with OBama on this issue. Rubio is not going to get anything accomplished. He never ran on this issue. Amnesty doesn’t stop illegal immigration anyway. This issue is dividing our party.

Isabel Matos IF he said Amnesty, no one would even give it a chance, so he uses the term Immigration Reform to mean what we know IS the pathway to citizenship, or amnesty. Linda Vega It’s obviously amnesty is not sufficient: show me where it says that it is amnesty. Linda Vega What is your understanding of Amnesty?

Isabel Matos You’re getting into the definition. We all know what it is. His supporters are going around giving the definition of it, it’s a pardon, etc. and that it doesn’t represent what Rubio is doing. Again, if he used the term Amnesty, everyone would turn away. It’s not an issue Americans want. THey want to secure the border.

Isabel Matos ANd LEGAL immigration. His proposal is a promise he can’t keep. Republicans need to stay away from this issue. This is a can of worms that opens the door to a flood of MUSLIMS as well. It’s not a good plan, or an honest one. He did not run on this. Linda Vega Again, what is your understanding of Amnesty. You cannot form a good argument until you understand the terms.

Isabel Matos You have to see the total picture. It will cost citizen taxpayers money we don’t have to fund the programs entailed with this. Im saying the truth, it is how many millions see it. I don’t know why anyone would disput what I am saying.

Linda Vega Without understanding what you are saying, there is not whole picture.

Isabel Matos You need to be open and honest with me. I gave you an answer. Now address at least one of the issues I presented.

Linda Vega I don’t even understand your argument. You can’t define amnesty but you want to use it. Start there, give me specifically where Sen. Rubio calls for amnesty.

Isabel Matos And you are incapable of reasoning. I have given you the answer he has used. YOu should know what it is. This is silly. Let’s have a discussion, not the same question or running around in circles.

Isabel Matos Here you go. This is the one they are going around using. Now can we have a debate as to why this is a bad idea for Republicans?
http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/amnesty the definition of amnesty …

Linda Vega I want your understand. Why is that so hard for you Isabel?

Linda Vega This where you start to lose your argument, becoming irrational.

Isabel Matos I just gave you the definition, and you call me irrational.

Linda Vega your understanding, not from a site.

Isabel Matos Now you’re being clear. No name calling, though. Thank you.

After I was banned from that group – I am not sure if it was for those  comments or not – I was invited to her page with the same name, Latinos Ready To Vote.  I wrote this on their wall the same day:

latinos ready to vote

Below is what Linda Vega said in the interview with Kevin Scholla. I listened to the interview again and it was Kevin Scholla, not Linda, who said “I know you’re not for Amnesty”.  That is important. He also phrased the question about both Sarah Palin and Ted Cruz in such a way that made it easier for her to respond amicably about each.

Since Ms. Vega asked me to view the clip, I included it here. This is not about the interviewer, but about the politician being interviewed not giving the complete picture of herself or what she is about.

Linda Vega says the quota system is at the root of most of our immigration problems which she wants abolished.  She said she wants to streamline the process by which immigrants arrive. That doesn’t mean she is against Amnesty.  We saw Paul Ryan trying to explain that, too.  I can provide a clip but want this to be about Linda not Ryan.

Linda says she supports defunding ObamaCare. We all know that RINOS, who voted for cloture on September 25th, said they were for Defunding ObamaCare, so that is just another example of how she, like Cornyn, is playing word games to deceive.  Even Reince Priebus said he was for the Defundit effort. It’s not the first, nor will it be the last time a RINO lies to get Tea Party support and then turns around to vote against our choices. It’s like the term a late-night comedian calls “Truthiness” (Steven Colbert).

After being asked a question (very nicely framed by Scholla) about Governor Palin, she says:  “I admire [former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin] a great deal – her courage, her tenacity.” According to her, the Governor had been told that she was “not smart enough and not well recognized enough, and did not have a grasp of the concepts,” yet “she has the grasp of the American people’s frame of thought.”  Doesn’t every Rino speak highly of Sarah only to against her policies? It has been done before.  Everyone wants a coveted endorsement from Sarah.

Vega said the idea that a former governor is not qualified to run for office is ridiculous. “I rooted for her, I applauded her, because in a time when people needed a voice, she was a voice that needed to be heard.”

On Jobs:  “Vega said Texas’ population will double in 10 years and job creation is key if the state is to continue thriving.”  (That’s because she may intend to give it to legalized illegals.. just sayin…)

This article was written as a heads up, not to smear anyone.  We have the right to ask questions not to cheer lead candidates because they say something that sounds good.  We are voters and shoppers. We need to know what matters to get the best deal.

PPP Final Poll: Ted Cruz Over Dewhurst 52-42

By Gary P Jackson

Looks like all the vile, nasty ads that David Dewhurst has been running for weeks are working well!

In the final poll going into Tuesday’s election, Ted Cruz has a ten point lead over David Dewhurst. If that lead holds it may be one of the Tea Party’s most impressive victories yet. And a victory for the American people.

Polling consistently finds that more Texas voters consider themselves Tea Party people, than in any other state. Among the Tea Party folks, Ted Cruz absolutely destroys Dewhurst 75-22.

PP’s final poll of the Republican Senate runoff in Texas finds Ted Cruz opening up a 52-42 lead, an increase from our survey two weeks ago that found him ahead 49-44.

Cruz’s victory is driven by 4 things: the Tea Party, the enthusiasm of his supporters, a generational divide within the Texas Republican ranks, and the lack of regard the party base currently holds for Rick Perry.

Cruz is ahead by a whopping 75-22 margin with Tea Party voters, more than making up for a 56-39 deficit to Dewhurst with voters who don’t consider themselves members of that movement. There has been too much of a tendency to ascribe any Republican primary upset over the last few years to Tea Party voters, but this is one case where it’s well justified.

Cruz has a 63-33 advantage with voters who describe themselves as ‘very excited’ about voting in Tuesday’s runoff election.

More here.

Don’t let this big lead fool you though. We need everyone to get out there and vote on Tuesday. A blow out win by Cruz will send a strong message to the Republican Elite™!

Also, we’d like to get American Grizzlies United members to RSVP to us so we can help you connect with each other at the rally, take group AGU photo’s, and get others to sign up with AGU!

This is great news as everything points to a resounding victory by TedCruz in this election, but Establishment candidate David Dewhurst hasn’t given up, and his campaign of lies and slander has been infused with more outsider cash. With Sarah Palin and Jim DeMint rallying the troops, the excitement for true Conservative leadership in Washington will continue to grow.

National Journal adds:

Ted Cruz will kick off the final weekend before the Texas Republican Senate runoff at a rally with Sarah Palin in the Houston area on Friday evening, his campaign announced on Wednesday.

It will be rare campaign trail appearance by the former vice presidential nominee, who endorses in congressional races from time to time, but rarely travels to stump on behalf of her preferred candidate.

South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint, as well as local and national tea party leaders, will also attend the GOTV rally at the Woodlands, north of Houston.

Palin endorsed Cruz in May, before the May 31 primary in which the former state solicitor general forced frontrunning Lt. Governor David Dewhurst into a runoff, which will take place on Tuesday.

The race has pitted Palin opposite Texas Gov. Rick Perry who is backing Dewhurst, the candidate whose millions of dollars and high name ID once made him look like the inevitable successor to retiring Republican Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison.

But a strong effort from Cruz and backing from well-funded national conservative groups have kept him in the game. Signs that he is poised to pull off the upset are abound this week. Palin’s decision to travel to Texas is the latest one.

If you haven’t already cast your early vote for Ted Cruz, Check over in the right hand column of our website for a link to early voting sites.

Sarah Palin: Support Ted Cruz

Click on image to donate to Ted Cruz’s campaign

By Sarah Palin

Today early voting begins in the run-off election for U.S. Senate in Texas. Texans have a clear choice in this race, and I encourage them to support Ted Cruz, a strong conservative fighter who will protect and defend our Constitution and not just go along to get along with the reckless spending of the permanent political class in D.C.

The high-paid consultants of Ted’s well-funded opponent are in full panic mode and have plunged millions of dollars into false personal attacks against Ted meant to dispirit us and break our conviction. We’ve all seen these tactics before, but together we can make sure they don’t succeed. I encourage Texans to get out and vote for Ted Cruz.

~ Sarah Palin

P.S.: For those of you outside of Texas looking to support Ted you can do so by visiting his website here.

Breaking: Tea Party Express Announces “Take A Stand” Radiothon for Ted Cruz

By Gary P Jackson

As Texans and Conservatives, we know how important this Senate race is. The rest of the country needs to understand how it will impact them as well.

We have Ted Cruz, a Reagan Conservative who, as Solicitor General of Texas, has fought not only the United Nations and the World Court, but also the Obama regime, while defending both Texas and United States sovereignty which were under attack.

Ted Cruz exemplifies the Texas spirit and is a champion of Liberty and Freedom. He’s served Texas well and will be an asset for the nation.

We are fighting to stop current Texas Lt Governor David Dewhurst, a dishonest and unethical man who has spent millions of ads telling flat out lies about Ted Cruz, and misrepresenting his own liberal record.

Dewhurst has fought for amnesty for illegals, pushed for a payroll tax, killed legislation that would have banned sanctuary cites in Texas, as well as legislation that would have stopped the TSA from groping airline passengers.

Meanwhile, Dewhurst is in the pocket of lobbyists, and big money special interests. He even attended a crony laden Washington fundraiser last fall at the townhome of George Soros stooge John Podesta.

Ted Cruz is supported by those of us who love Liberty and Freedom, and want to see a return to a Constitutional Republic. People who want a smaller, more responsible government.

David Dewhurst is supported by cronies and big businesses that benefit from Big Government and live off the tax payer dollars it showers on them.

While Ted Cruz has all of the incentives in the world to bring government under control, Dewhurst has every incentive in the world to keep growing government so he can keep paying off his cronies.

We have enough corrupt bastards in Washington now. It would be a crime to send them reinforcements, which is exactly what we’d be doing, if we send David Dewhurst to Washington.

Dewhurst is the poster child for the corrupt Republican Establishment™. He’s spent a small fortune attacking Conservatives, but has run on “bi-partisanship” in previous campaigns. Like all of the country club Republicans, Dewhurst finds it much easier to attack Conservatives than his liberal brethren in the democrat party. It’s unacceptable.

I just got a note from the Tea Party Express announcing a event in support of Ted Cruz. Please allow me to share and ask that our readers from around the country take part. This isn’t just about Texas. This will have national implications.

Tea Party Express Announces ‘Take a Stand’ Radiothon for Tea Party Candidate Ted Cruz

We are just over a week away from the next major Tea Party challenge. As Ted Cruz himself has stated, “This race is ground zero in the battle between the moderate establishment and the Tea Party tidal wave that is sweeping this country!“.

We couldn’t agree more and that is why we are proudly announcing a two-hour long ‘Take a Stand’ for Ted Cruz radiothon next Wednesday, July 25th in Dallas, Texas on KLIF 570 AM to help us reach our goal of electing the next Tea Party Senator.

‘Take a Stand’ for Ted Cruz Radiothon Hosts Amy Kremer and Kay Rivoli

Tea Party Express Chairman Amy Kremer and Tea Party Express singer and entertainer Kay Rivoli will host the event, and will be joined by some of the nation’s most influential Tea Party leaders and politicians who also proudly stand with Ted Cruz for U.S. Senate.

We understand that some of you will not be able to tune in next Wednesday and we want to start a program with a head of steam, so we are asking for your early support and donations now.

To do your part to ensure that conservative Ted Cruz is elected, please donate below HERE

The Radiothon can be viewed live online next Wednesday at TeaPartyExpress.org from 8-10 PM Central Time.

It is crucial that tea party activists and leaders from across the nation join us in supporting Ted Cruz in Texas. We cannot win this election without you!

The establishment Republicans and D.C. funded SuperPACS are dumping millions and millions of dollars into this race in order to elect another ‘go along to get along’ Senator that will walk in lockstep with the Republican leadership. We the People cannot stay silent anymore and allow the Republicans to dictate who our representatives are.

Join Amy, Kay, and millions of Tea Party activists across the nation next Wednesday for Tea Party Express’ Radiothon for Ted Cruz at TeaPartyExpress.org.

Also, we still need to raise $12,700 by the end of the day Sunday for production of our ‘Tea Party Supports Ted Cruz’ TV ad and any money you donate now will go towards achieving that goal.

Take a stand in Texas with Tea Party Express and help Ted Cruz hold his lead! Donate what you can today. Click here to donate $25, $50, $100, $500, $1000, or even more!

As always, if you prefer, you may also make a contribution via mail, by sending a check to:

Noted Texas Lt Governor Who Hates “Outsiders” Interfering In Texas Politics Gets Another Infusion of Outside Cash

By Gary P Jackson

Texas Lt Governor and his buddy Governor Rick Perry have been whining for months about “outsiders” interfering in Texas politics and “telling Texans what to do.” As is always the case, these two braying jackasses are the ones up to their necks in special interest money from Washington and beyond.

From the Dallas Morning News: [H/T: StaceinTexas]

Casino billionaire comes to the aid of David Dewhurst in his Senate bid

Las Vegas casino magnate and big-time Super PAC donor Sheldon Adelson has come to the rescue of David Dewhurst’s Republican Senate campaign. Adelson, the CEO of the Las Vegas Sands Corp., was a major backer of Newt Gingrich in his failed presidential bid. He has contributed $250,000 to the pro-Dewhurst SuperPAC the Conservative Renewal committee. That accounted for most of the $280,000 the PAC raised in May and June, according to the latest filing with the Federal Election Commission. Adelson is particularly interested in US support for Israel.

Conservative Renewal is one of two SuperPACs aiding Dewhurst against Republican rival Ted Cruz in the July 31 GOP runoff for the US Senate seat left by retiring Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison. The other SuperPAC, Texas Conservative Fund founded by former Rick Perry chief of staff Rob Johnson, reports raising $2.49 million in the latest reporting period from May 10 through June 30.

Among its biggest donors were GOP super-donor, Houston homebuilder Bob Perry. The Texas Conservatives Fund is reporting this week that it has spent another $1.3 million worth of TV ads into the Texas Senate race.

There’s nothing wrong with raising money, as long as it’s done legally, but by God if you are going to piss and moan when PATRIOTS like Sarah Palin, Jim DeMint, and Mark Levin support your opponent, and cry about them being “Washington Insiders” you better not be taking any outside money yourself!

In Of David Dewhurst, Cronies, Lobbyists, and Soros Stooge John Podesta I noted that while movement Conservatives nationwide have been supporting Ted Cruz, Dewhurst is funded by lobbyists with an agenda that doesn’t align with the expectations of the American people.

I just got a note from our friends at Tea Party Express, who have been working hard to help us defeat David Dewhurst and elect Ted Cruz that is highly troubling. In fact, it blew my mind.

Let me share it with you and ask that you take action:

Dewhurst took more money from Washington D.C. lobbyists last cycle than both Harry Reid and Nancy Pelosi!

You heard that right! It is no secret that Tea Party candidate Ted Cruz’s opponent David Dewhurst has strong ties to the D.C. political establishment, but this revelation shocked even us.

He is using this money to falsely attack our candidate.

With only 12 DAYS until the election, we are responding with an emergency TV ad campaign called “Tea Party Supports Cruz” that will combat the Dewhurst SuperPAC lies and extol the conservative virtues of Tea Party candidate Ted Cruz.

With our nation on the brink of financial disaster, we have to send representatives to Washington D.C. that have the resolve to represent ‘We the People‘ and not special interests.

We are off to a good start, but we still need to raise $19,000 by the end of the day Sunday to finish the production of our pro-Ted Cruz TV commercial “Tea Party Supports Ted Cruz.” We have written the script and recorded the audio, but need the money start and finish the visual production – time is running out!

It is clear that momentum is on our side, but we can’t let up with 12 DAYS to go until this important election.

As the Cruz campaign points out,Only one thing stands in the way of sending a proven conservative who will reduce government and defend the Constitution to the U.S. Senate… raising enough money to withstand another $10 million-plus negative onslaught from Dewhurst and his Super PACs.

Take a stand in Texas with Tea Party Express and help Ted Cruz hold his lead! Donate what you can today. Click here to donate $25, $50, $100, $500, $1000, or even more!
