Sarah Palin: Obama’s SOTU Speech Had A Lot Of WTF Moments, Hard To Stomach

Vodpod videos no longer available.

Well, speaking of last night, that was a tough speech to sit through and try to stomach because the president is so off base in his ideas in how it is he believes government is going to create jobs. Obviously, government growth won’t create any jobs. It’s the private sector that can create the jobs. His theme last night in the State of the Union was the WTF, you know, “Winning the Future,” and I thought OK, that acronym, spot on. There were a lot of WTF moments throughout that speech

Sarah Palin was spot on in her analysis of Barack Obama’s State of the Union Address on Tuesday night.

Here she talks with Greta Van Susteren about the speech.

At one points Sarah mentions Obama’s talking about America needing a Sputnik moment. Sputnik being the Soviet satellite that beat America into space. The first man-made object to orbit the globe in outer space.

Funny, I actually get where he was going, but it’s the first time in my life I have ever heard an American president tout the accomplishments of a communist nation.

What his speech writers should have had the good sense to say, is we need a Kennedy moment. Obama finally got there, but are his handlers that unaware? I mean half the country already thinks Obama is a communist. They aren’t helping!

Sarah said we need a “Spudnut moment.” The left wing loons have already hit on this. Going nuts not understanding where she was going with this.

While Obama was talking about wasting billions, if not trillions of taxpayer dollars, on useless go nowhere programs, she was talking about what happens when government gets out of the way, and entrepreneurs are allowed to do their thing!

Spudnut was a pretty successful donut franchise from the post-war 1940s. They used potato flour to make em, and they were in her home state of Alaska at one point.

From their website:

In 1946 brothers Al and Bob Pelton in Salt Lake City, Utah began what would become one of America’s favorite food confections, a chain of Spudnut Shops stretching from coast to coast, Alaska to Mexico. Many became devoted fans of Spudnuts, named for being potato flour donuts, “spud“nuts.

This was a perfect example of what happens when government gets out of the way and lets the entrepreneur do their thing! Though the parent company is gone you can still buy em in many states.

Check out their websites here.

Here are a few of Obama’s WTF moments:

These steps we’ve taken over the last two years may have broken the back of this recession, but to win the future, we’ll need to take on challenges that have been decades in the making.

That’s how our people will prosper. That’s how we’ll win the future.

The first step in winning the future is encouraging American innovation.

Maintaining our leadership in research and technology is crucial to America’s success. But if we want to win the future…

The third step in winning the future is rebuilding America…

Now, the final critical step in winning the future is to make sure we aren’t buried under a mountain of debt.

If we make the hard choices now to rein in our deficits, we can make the investments we need to win the future.

We can’t win the future with a government of the past.

From the earliest days of our founding, America has been the story of ordinary people who dare to dream. That’s how we win the future.

It’s worth noting that Newt Gingrich has a book out called “Winning The Future” so evidently, besides being horrible speech writers, Obama’s guys are plagiarists as well.

It was noted on Laura Ingram’s show yesterday that “WTF” was Gingrich’s book title – what a hoot! And what an embarrassment (or should have been had this whole gang-that-couldn’t-shoot-straight not been screwing up since Day One in the WH!!). I still don’t get how people refer to Odumbo as one of the greatest orators ever in our history?!? That truly is a WTF observation!!! (I think we need to resurrect William Jennings Bryant, Frederick Douglass – and even Patrick Henry to put THAT ridiculous lie to rest once & for all! And what about Ronaldus Magnus?!? Even if that silly twit Peggy Noonan DID put some damn good words in his mouth…)

The other irony, of course, is that since O’bambi seems fixated on that “Sputnik Moment,” maybe he should reflect on the fact that that lil’ ol’ space rocket inspired the creation of NASA – which the Fraud-in-Chief now wants to turn into a Global Warming Center, run by clueless muzzies – reaching out to OTHER clueless muzzies as well… Give me a damn BREAK!!!

Oh yeah, that’s the best. Obama points to the Soviets successful Space program as he dismantles ours!

The m,an is an idiot. Really a true idiot.

  2. Sarah was on fire! (oooops, not too PC, sorry) She blasted BHO with both barrels (oops there I go again). Love the WTF play and the Spudnuts. NO other RNC potential candidate will speak honestly like she does.

None. She used Spudnuts to perfectly illustrate the difference between the government wasting money on idiotic ideas that won’t work, vs getting out of the way and letting people with a dream do their thing!

No one since Reagan has been this good.

WTF! Brilliant! That’s exactly what I was yelling at my TV screen during the SOTU show. I love Sarah Palin! Her quick response and pointing to Spudnuts, not sputniks was clever and classic. I cannot wait to see her mop the floor with BHO in the presidential debates in 2012 if he makes it that far, now that it’s rumored that many states may pass laws that would force him to produce a birth certificate. As for sputnik, it wasn’t an incredible feat to shoot a radio transmitter the size of a basketball into orbit, pinging as it went overhead. That was in keeping with the communist efforts to embarrass the west with clever propaganda campaigns. The real feat was putting a man up there and getting him home safe and then going to the moon and back, several times. The real feat was that america fed the world throughout the 1960’s and 1970’s and 1980’s.
Notice the commies did not even attempt that once we did. Same old same old from this leftist, hate america bunch.

  4. Obama is America’s WTF moment.
