Politico, Slate, and Atlantic Smear Sarah Palin, Claim Government is Stockpiling a Billion Deadly Hollowpoint Rounds “For Training”

You can always tell when Sarah Palin scares the bejeezus out of the Obama regime and it’s disciples. Not only does the corrupt media snap to attention, these so-called “journalists” all publish, basically, the exact same content. Rather transparent.

The latest thing that has the regime up in arms is Sarah’s last Facebook post. In her post Sarah takes the D C politicians, in both parties, to task, telling them to “grow up and get to work!” While the Conservative world read her entire post, and legit media republished the post in full [for the most part] dishonest brokers like Politico chose to focus on one specific part of Sarah’s post, in order to gin up hate among their democrat readers: [emphasis mine]

If we are going to wet our proverbial pants over 0.3% in annual spending cuts when we’re running up trillion dollar annual deficits, then we’re done. Put a fork in us. We’re finished. We’re going to default eventually and that’s why the feds are stockpiling bullets in case of civil unrest.

Politico, Slate, The Atlantic, and others have all come to the aid of the regime. Politico quotes the Washington Post to back up their slanderous accusations:

While government agencies are, in fact, purchasing large amounts of ammunition, they are doing so for training exercises and shooting ranges, according to federal officials. The Washington Post last month summed up the Department of Homeland Security’s buying of more than 1.6 billion rounds of ammunition for training with an article headlined, “Not so sinister: Homeland Security is stockpiling ammo for target practice.”

First of all, 1.6 BILLION rounds is a whole lot of ammo! Secondly, a significant amount, in the hundreds of millions, of these rounds are HOLLOWPOINT rounds. One doesn’t use hollowpoints for target practice, because … for one thing … they are prohibitively expensive. They simply cost too much to shoot at paper targets.

Second, and most importantly, hollowpoint rounds only have one usage, to inflict the maximum amount of damage to the human body. These are not the sort of bullets you use if you just want to wound someone. They are for killing someone, and killing them in a spectacular manner. You use hollowpoints when you absolutely, positively want to kill EVERYBODY!

These corrupt websites also use Snopes as another source to re-assure the geniuses who read their websites [and actually believe the malarkey] that Sarah Palin is bad, the Obama regime good. Remember, Palin is an idiot, and Obama is the benevolent leader who only brings love and good cheer. [I just threw up in my mouth a little]

The problem with using Snopes to debunk anything, is the fact that Snopes itself, has been debunked as a less than legit source of “debunking,” at least when it comes to politics. There is a definite political bias. This is not something new either. Back in 2003 John Berlau wrote about Snopes tendency to leave out certain facts that might not fit the narrative they were looking to create. In 2009 Ron Springfield pointed out numerous cases of liberal bias, with Snopes even contradicting themselves within the same article.

For those that don’t know, Snopes is essentially Barbara and David Mikkelson, a California couple who started the website as a hobby in 1995. The couple claim to be apolitical, even noting that Barbara is Canadian, thus not allowed to vote [like that means anything] but all one has to do is look through their site to see the bias.

All of the controversy over Snopes aside, what kind of journalist uses a site like Snopes as the go-to source when it comes to serious news reporting. Evidently the hack kind.

Oh, and these corrupt journalists also managed to tie Sarah Palin [and even Mark Levin] to conspiracy theory whack job Alex Jones, who evidently has his own mind-numbingly stupid take on the hoarding of rounds.

Here’s where I take a break from exposing the corrupt media to say a few words about Alex Jones and the loons who frequent his website. You people do the cause of Liberty and Freedom great harm. With daily rants about FEMA camps and “prison trains with shackles” [that turn out to be automobile carriers] Alex Jones and his fellow travelers make it impossible for people to talk about ACTUAL threats to our personal sovereignty.

There ARE people in our government that have a wicked agenda. There have ALWAYS been people within our government that have a wicked agenda. With Obama, we are experiencing evils that no one could have ever imagined possible in America. That said, wild-eyed conspiracy theories, and crack pot schemes, have no place in serious debate. Too many real threats to have time for the loons. Sadly, for those who don’t actually pay attention, those low information voters we all speak of, it’s not always easy to sort the truth from the craziness. In the end, everyone is labeled as “crazy” and legit concerns are laughed off as ramblings from a bunch of wing-nuts.

OK, rant off.

While Politico and the rest are doing their master’s bidding, real journalists, well respected journalists, like Anthony Martin, have covered the ammo hoarding story quite well. Martin notes the feds are stockpiling deadly ammo at a rate roughly 10 times of that used yearly during the Iraq war.

Hard to swallow the notion all of them bullets are for “target practice.”

In August of 2012 Martin wrote:

News reports indicating that multiple agencies of the federal government have ordered and are stockpiling multimillions of rounds of ammunition have pressured the Feds to offer an explanation. But the official explanation has only raised more questions.

On Friday the government stated that the hollow point bullets it has procured are “standard issue” and that they are used to train security agents used by each of the various federal agencies.

However, according to retired Maj. Gen. Jerry Curry, a decorated Army war veteran, the Feds’ explanation about the bullets fails to pass the smell test.

When this reporter first heard the government’s explanation for the hollow point bullets, the warning bells immediately rang indicating a cover up. As every gun owner knows if they are serious about developing and maintaining their shooting skills, the type of bullets used for practice at the firing range are normally different from the ammunition one would use when getting the firearm set to be used in the event of a home invasion or other situations in which one’s life is in mortal danger.

Firing range bullets are much less expensive and are not designed for the day to day use of the gun for maximum self protection. One uses the more expensive variety, such as hollow point bullets, for real-life danger.

Thus, immediately this reporter knew that when the government claimed that its agencies had purchased multimillions of rounds of hollow point bullets for “practice and training” at the firing range, something was amiss. Most citizens are likely unaware that such ammo is not used for practice and will accept the government’s explanation at face value. This is in all likelihood what the Feds are counting on.

He goes on to quote General Curry:

Hollow point bullets are so lethal that the Geneva Convention does not allow their use on the battle field in time of war. Hollow point bullets don’t just stop or hurt people, they penetrate the body, spread out, fragment and cause maximum damage to the body’s organs. Death often follows.

So the federal government is stockpiling ammo that only has one purpose, to cause maximum damage to the human body, resulting in death, and then lying to the public as to why. Don’t pay any attention to that though, because Sarah Palin is crazy, or something.

In addition, Curry noted that during the Iraq War the U.S. military used 70 million rounds of ammunition per year. Compare that with the 750 million rounds of hollow point bullets that the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) ordered in March. And then it further ordered another 750 million rounds of various types of ammunition, some of which can penetrate walls.

General Curry is quotes as saying:

his is enough ammunition to empty five rounds into the body of every living American citizen. Is this something we and the Congress should be concerned about? What’s the plan that requires so many dead Americans, even during times of civil unrest? Has Congress and the Administration vetted the plan in public.

I fear that Congress won’t take these ammunition purchases seriously until they are all led from Capitol Hill in handcuffs. Why buy all this ammunition unless you plan to use it. Unknown to Congress, Does DHS plan to declare war on some country? Shouldn’t Congress hold hearings on why the Administration is stockpiling this ammunition all across the nation? How will it be used; what are the Administration’s plans?

So let’s recap:

*The federal Department of Homeland Security has bought up over one BILLION rounds of ammunition to stockpile.

*That’s enough ammo to fight the Iraq war, at the peak of action, for at least 10 years.

*And this ammo is designed to rip the human body to shreds on impact, and can even penetrate walls.

*According to Obama’s lapdog media, Americans needn’t be concerned, these billion plus bullets are merely for target practice.

*Oh, and Sarah Palin is a stupid poo-poo head for ever mentioning any of this.

Does that about cover it?

Common sense, and a working knowledge of history, tells us the government is being less than truthful, and frankly, their media partners are not all that skilled in selling the big lie. You have to be a very special kind of dumb to fall for the left wing spin on this.

One doesn’t have to be a raving lunatic conspiracy theorist to understand what the Obama regime is preparing for. Throughout history, when civilizations have collapsed, panic and pandemonium ensue. Look at the insanity after Katrina, for example. You had rampant violence, criminal activity of all sorts. That was just a natural disaster, but all forms of human decency were put aside as people just ran wild.

Then we look at Obama’s deliberate destruction of America. All one has to do is read a bit of Cloward and Piven’s little essay, and understand that both professors have close ties to the democrat party, and have influenced presidents with their theories on how to destroy America, to get it. Cloward and Piven suggested one run up unsustainable debts, debts so high they could never be repaid, fill the welfare and entitlement programs to the breaking point, then sit back and wait for the whole thing to collapse. Obama has been using their playbook as his blueprint for governing. Obama has done all of these things, and more.

When the nation collapses, and it certainly will with the bunch of reprobates we have in Washington [in BOTH parties] it stands to reason violence will break out and many will look to “settle scores” with those in government who allowed the greatest nation ever created to go straight to hell. That’s just human nature.

Politico quoted Mark Levin in their piece as saying:

Law enforcement and national security agencies — they play out multiple scenarios. They simulate multiple scenarios. I’ll tell you what I think they’re simulating: the collapse of our financial system, the collapse of our society and the potential for widespread violence, looting, killing in the streets, because that’s what happens when an economy collapses

Levin is right. It’s what happens, and it’s the only reason Homeland Security, not really a law enforcement body, is stockpiling over a billion rounds designed to kill human beings. I’m the last person to engage in conspiracy theories, but common sense, and a working knowledge of both history, and how the fiendish liberal mind works, tells me something just isn’t right.

Politico’s Kevin Cirilli, Slate’s Josh Voorhees, and The Atlantic’s Alexander Abad-Santo can pretend they have pulled the wool over their reader’s eyes, but they are only fooling themselves. None of these people have a shred of credibility, and printing outright lies about Sarah Palin, while carrying the regime’s water, isn’t going to give them a bump in the credibility department any time soon!

Frankly, I’m tickled that Governor Palin brought this up. Though many of us have known about this stockpiling, with all of Obama’s other evil doings, it’s not a daily topic. Looking at all of the comments on these dishonest websites though, it looks like these Obama sycophants stirred up a hornet’s nest, with hundreds of commenters pointing out their lying ways. It’s simply delicious.

Maybe that was Sarah’s plan all along. After all, no one is better at making the corrupt media look stupid than she is! And I challenge you to name anyone else who can get people talking about a serious issue, with nothing more than a Facebook post, better than Sarah Palin.

Now that I think about it, maybe that’s the real story here. The power of Sarah Palin to cut through the noise and nonsense, and expose the liars and the lies they tell.

I was thinking about CPAC the other day. Of course, the Guv was on my mind. Brought memories back to me about her CPAC 2012 speech as well as her many others that go straight to the heart of our problems. I mean this woman is definitely way ahead of the curve. On a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being the highest, she ranks about a 20 for me, with the rest falling in the range of 1 to 2 with a few that may hit 3.

Ted Cruz, if he keeps to his principles, will be a 10 in no time, standing alongside Allen West.

It is mind boggling to hear these pundits talk about the Republican Party needing a leader and a voice. People like Bill Reilly, Sean Hannity, Laura Ingram, Ann Coulter, and Karl “ Tokyo” Rove to name a few. The leader has been there all along, right in front of their face.

The lack of the Republican Party and McCain’s team to effectively show the accomplishments of this woman and use it to better the campaign and win 2008, leads me to see CPAC have a chance to revive the common sense attitude and accomplishment of this truly amazing success story of an “ALL AMERICAN” woman who governs with a true servants heart.

If I was fortunate to be the one on stage at CPAC 2013 to introduce Gov. Palin, here is what I would say, and it takes less than 2 1/2 minutes:

“Ladies and gentlemen, please forgive me, but I must make time to introduce our next speaker properly.

A Governor, that as Mayor of her home town, brought about infrastructure improvements … built roads, installed new water and sewer systems, etc. … [you know, shovel ready jobs] lured in major retailers as well as smaller shops, resulting in increased business that brings in roughly 50,000 shoppers a day.” [according to current mayor]

Thanks to Sarah’s vision and hard work, Wasilla, Alaska is the trading hub for the entire Mat-Su Valley, an area roughly the size of the state of Delaware.

Compare that to President Obama spending almost a trillion dollars in stimulus funds and then laughingly mocking it, saying it all was not as shovel ready as he thought.

This Governor has met and solved the problems of her state that plague our nation today. This Governor has already solved the hard line problems that most politicians only talk about. This Governor knew how to work with her legislature for bipartisan support of all major legislation passed. Legislation passed by majorities in both parties, I might add.

This Governor is so humble, she rarely talks about her own accomplishments, and when she does, credit is always given to her team.

This Governor:

*Reduced debt liabilities of her state by 34%, something Scott Walker is now accomplishing in Wisconsin.

*Cut spending more than 33% in fy10 from fy-09 budget

*Amassed a $12 billion budget surplus for the state

*In 2008 alone vetoed $268 million from budget bills

*Reduced requests for federal earmarks by 80%

*Increased oil production by forcing the oil companies to drill on land they held leases on for over 30 years

*Forward funded education

*Reformed state pension system

*Helped seniors easily acquire much needed health care by ridding them from senseless red tape

*Brought about actual ethical reform to “drain the swamp” in her statehouse, unlike Nancy Pelosi’s big promises of doing this when elected as Speaker of the House.

*Instilled fiscal policies that upgraded her states credit rating from AA to AA+ in 2008 and eventually to AAA in 2010, unlike the Obama’s policies that have downgraded the nation’s credit rating, for the first time in history

*Is a model for a Republican woman that has it all through hard work, a true feminist, … not what the left leaning women want you to see!!

*Even though she put in hard work and long hours as a politician, she still had the time to raise a beautiful family,

*She stands tall with a steel spine and steel resolve!

*Her record of success stands as proof that she possesses the medicine we need to cure this country.

Hezbollah Terrorists Getting Passports in Belize in Order to Come to US via Mexico

In December I wrote about Hezbollah teaming up with Mexican drug cartels, like Los Zetas, and how they planned to use the extensive network to engage in terrorism against the United States. Yet another reason to stop the politicians in both parties who are looking to “reform immigration policy” while doing absolutely nothing to secure our nation’s southern border.

Now comes a report that these Hezbollah terrorists are going to Belize, obtaining fake passports, and coming through Mexico and into America.

From Creeping Sharia:

1. In 2012 Labboun Rafic Mohammed (Muslim cleric) with alleged links to Hezbollah was arrested in Merida Mexico. He was also a fugitive from U.S. justice.

2. He arrived in Yucatan and apparently used a network of Lebanese government officials. These officials colluded with parties in Belize who provided a fake passport from Belize.

3. Labboun’s fake passport was in the name of Wilhelm Dyck. Dyck was a deceased Mennonite child. Labboun also possessed a drivers license in the same name.

4. Razur Antonio Elias – Director of the Mexican Drug Observatory indicated in a report that Islamist organizations are linked to Mexican drug traffickers on the Yucatan Peninsula. Traffickers are providing passports, birth certificates, and drivers licenses from Belize. COST REPORTED $25,000.

5. The network is also providing transfers of Hezbollah members with forged paperwork to pass through Mexico to the United States. Merida Mexico appears to be the Nexus of this operation.

We have been able to establish that that very same day, a person posing to be Wilhelm Dyck made an application for a Belizean passport at the Passport Office in Belize City; that’s on the twenty-ninth of August, 2012 and that he paid a hundred dollars to expedite the process for the express issuance of the passport. And we’ve also been able to establish that the following day, a passport was indeed issued; that is the thirtieth of August, 2012, in the name of Wilhelm Dyck.

“The information in the computer also had a photograph of the person purporting to e Wilhelm Dyck. And immediately upon pulling up the photograph, the senior immigration officer without any prompting from the police authorities said that that person looks like a Lebanese national. Which raised the question; which has to be asked to the relevant persons who accepted the application and processed the application: if there weren’t some alarms that went off in their head when they saw a person looking like he did appearing before them claiming to be Wilhelm Dyck.

As you know, when you now apply for a passport, you have to physically go to the office and have your photo be taken. In the past, there was system where you would bring a photograph already taken, the J.P. would just sign the photograph and the birth certificate and would certify you as being the person who appears on the photograph and someone who they have known for a period of time. This instance, there is a Justice of the Peace that has now been detained and is being interviewed by police authorities.“

Rafic Labboun, an imam from the Shiite Association Bay Area (SABA) Mosque in San Jose, California, has been arrested in Mexico by Mexican immigration authorities working in cooperation with the FBI and Homeland Security.

Labboun was taken into custody with the two known Hezbollah agents from Belize, Justin George Abdallah Elders and Yasser Safa in Merida, a Mexican city located in the Yucatan peninsula. Both men are citizens of Belize. Intelligence agencies in the United States were tracking this group as part of a cell of Hezbollah-linked Arab terrorists who were operating in Mexico and Central America.

Labboun was released this summer from a federal prison, where he had served 27 months for credit card fraud that authorities suspected was linked to fundraising for Hezbollah here in the US. In that case, Labboun kited $102,000 in credit card purchases of gold in Saudi Arabia which involved defrauding several U.S. banks by creating a false line of credit between the banks.

The money made its way to Lebanon and has never been returned, even though Labboun was required to pay back the money as per the agreement of release and subsequent his three year probationary term. Instead, Labboun fled to Mexico on a false passport from Belize. It is believed he was helped by the alleged Hezbollah agents with whom he was arrested.

At the time of Labbooun’s trials, prosecutors were only able to convict Labboun on credit card fraud as his connection with Hezbollah could not be conclusively proven at the time. However, as RadicalIslam.org reported at the time, the SABA Mosque where Labboun is still considered an imam openly supports Hezbollah and the pro-Khomeinist regime in Iran.

Mexican news reports stated that Labboun identified himself to Mexican immigration authorities with a false passport from the government of Belize. The news reports also confirm that he was accompanied by other five people, two of whom are known by the FBI and Homeland Security to be Hezbollah agents in Belize. A tank or armored vehicle of some kind was also allegedly used in the operation.

This is cause for great alarm, and something that should be preventable. Our lack of real border security already causes thousands of deaths a year, just from the random illegals who come across the border, many of those deaths caused by accidents, like the illegals driving drunk. Now we have a group of terrorists, hell-bent on killing as many Americans as possible, coming into our country.

It’s time we put our military on the border. It’s time we have common sense, real world rules of engagement to stop anyone illegally crossing our borders. We are the only civilized nation on the planet that has such an uncontrolled, open border. If this continues, many innocent Americans will die.

Hezbollah has already bragged:

“Ten pounds of anthrax in a medium-size suitcase, carried by a Jihad warrior through the tunnels can kill 300,000 Americans in one hour,” he said. “It will make 9/11 look like peanuts. There’s no need for plans… Just one courageous man, to spread this confetti on the White House lawn. Then we will really be able to celebrate.“

Hezbollah is helping the Mexican drug cartels launder money, and in turn, the cartels are helping Hezbollah set up a terror network ready to attack the United States. While all of this is going on, politicians in both parties are scheming to make it easier for the terrorists to hit us.

Treason? Obama Releases Rapists, Murders, Terrorists on American Streets Threatens National Security Over Budget Battle

I’ve seen my share of evil over the years, but what we, as a nation, are experiencing now is simply unbelievable. Oh sure, we all know history, and we all know what evil tyrants and dictators have been capable of, but this happening in America. This is supposed to be a nation of laws, not men. America was founded on the notion that government works for We, the People, not the other way around.

In his latest attack on the American people, President Obama is threatening to stop enforcing our laws, and has already started releasing terror in the streets. What Obama and his henchmen propose will undoubtedly cost American lives. History shows us it will.

First let’s start with a this threat from Janet Napolitano, courtesy of the Washington Post: [emphasis mine]]

Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano warned Monday that her agency would be forced to furlough 5,000 border control agents under mandatory spending cuts, likely allowing more illegal immigrants into the country and potentially compromising national security.

Napolitano said the cuts, known as the sequester, would disrupt the Department of Homeland Security’s ability to conduct customs inspections at ports, leading to increased waiting times for travelers and cargo shipments. Disaster relief funding would be reduced by $1 billion, she added, meaning relief for victims of natural disasters like Hurricane Sandy and tornados in Joplin, Mo., and Tuscaloosa, Ala., could be cut. …

Asked if the cuts would make the country more susceptible to acts of terrorism, Napolitano said: “It’s always a threat. We do what we can to minimize the risk, but the sequester makes it awfully, awfully tough.”

That was just testing the waters. Letting people know what will happen if we cut any spending whatsoever. The very notion that in an over $3 TRILLION a year budget, that national security, not one of the thousands, if not millions, of non-essential programs would be cut, is insanity defined.

Oh, and the sequestration cuts the fools in Washington are fighting over aren’t even real spending cuts. They are merely reductions in the INCREASE of spending that goes on from year to year. There are no serious human beings involved in this battle. Not a single one.

Next comes this from Immigration. From the New York Times:

Federal immigration officials have released hundreds of detainees from detention centers around the country in recent days in a highly unusual effort to save money as automatic budget cuts loom in Washington, officials said Tuesday.

Representative Robert W. Goodlatte of Virginia, who said the releases were a political gambit by the Obama administration that undermined the continuing negotiations over comprehensive immigration reform and jeopardized public safety.

“It’s abhorrent that President Obama is releasing criminals into our communities to promote his political agenda on sequestration,” said Mr. Goodlatte, who, as chairman of the Judiciary Committee, is running the House hearings on immigration reform. “By releasing criminal immigrants onto the streets, the administration is needlessly endangering American lives.”

Officials said the releases, which began last week and continued on Tuesday, were a response to the possibility of automatic governmentwide budget cuts, known as sequestration, which are scheduled to take effect on Friday.

“As fiscal uncertainty remains over the continuing resolution and possible sequestration, ICE has reviewed its detained population to ensure detention levels stay within ICE’s current budget,” the agency’s spokeswoman, Gillian M. Christensen, said in a statement. The agency’s budget for custody operations in the current fiscal year is $2.05 billion, officials said, and as of Saturday, ICE was holding 30,773 people in its detention system.

Immigration officials said Tuesday that they had no plans to release substantially more detainees this week, though they warned that more releases were still possible depending on the outcome of budget negotiations.

They refused to specify exactly how many detainees were released, or where the releases took place. But immigrants’ advocates around the country have reported that detainees were freed in several places, including Hudson County, N.J.; Polk County, Tex.; Broward County, Fla.; New Orleans; and from centers in Alabama, Arizona, Georgia and New York.

While immigration officials occasionally free detainees on supervised release, immigration advocates said that the surge of recent releases — so many in such a short span of time — was extraordinary.

It costs a lot of money to detain these illegal aliens, and not all are violent offenders, but the vast majority are indeed a menace to society, and will cause problems. All one has to do is look at the many repeat offenders among the illegal alien population. Many have committed multiple rapes, and murders.

Of course, it would be a heck of a lot simpler, and cheaper, to just secure the border, and not allow ANY illegals to cross over in the first place, but our government, politicians in BOTH PARTIES, is more interested in rewarding the law breakers, hoping for votes, rather than securing America, and keeping Americans, their employers, safe and secure. It’s an unspeakable evil at every level. Those pushing amnesty for illegals must be stopped at any and all costs. We’ve seen this before, and all it will do is ensure even more illegals flood our nation.

Our entire government is out of control, and politicians in both parties have put America’s very existence in peril. That the Republican Party is allowing Obama to frame the narrative, and then does nothing while he threatens national security, and puts the lives of every single American citizen in danger, tells you what you need to know about the GOP.

It’s time for the American people to rise up, and reject politics, and both political parties. The time for games is over. It’s time for serious people to take control of things, and use a little common sense and stop all of the grandstanding.

Obama must be held responsible for every single crime committed by these released criminals, but he won’t. Obama and Attorney General Eric Holder are directly responsible for the mass murder of over 300 Mexican citizens, as well as border agents Brian Terry and Jamie Zapata, and not a single member of Congress has done anything remotely substantial to hold these two accountable in any way for the Fast and Furious debacle. [Never mind Benghazi]

A great evil has America by the throat and it’s up to the American people to right these wrongs. We cannot count on politicians to do it for us. Stand up and make some noise. It’s time to be heard!

Sarah Palin Hammers Washington Politicians: “D. C. Grow Up and Get to Work!”

On Tuesday Sarah Palin tweeted the following:

America's sick & tired of yet more ginned up crisis. DC: Grow up. Get to work. Go around lefty obstructionists then get out of workers' way.

Later in the evening she elaborated, going after the corrupt political class and the phony sequestration “crisis” that both parties are playing up.

I must say, it often blows my mind. We have a president [sorta] 435 members of the House of Representatives, and 100 Senators, and yet, it takes a housewife from Wasilla, Alaska to cut through the nonsense and give it to America straight.

Maybe it’s time to fire all of the corrupt bastards in Washington and hire Mrs. Palin! Read this and tell me if you agree:

D.C.: Cut the Drama. Do Your Job.

Americans are sick and tired of yet another ginned-up crisis. D.C. needs to grow up, get to work, and live within its means. The real economic Armageddon looming before us is our runaway debt, not the sequester, which the President advocated for and signed into law and is now running around denouncing because he never had any genuine intention of reining in his reckless spending.

Remember that this sequestration deal came about because of the long debt ceiling standoff in the summer of 2011. It wasn’t the ideal outcome for anyone, but it did at least include real deficit reduction of about $110 billion per year for 10 years, which is still nowhere near enough to close our massive deficit. Keep in mind that since the sequester passed, the President has already hit American families and small business owners with his tax increases, or “more revenue” as he likes to call it. The American public doesn’t want tax increases; we want government to rein in its overspending.

If we can’t stomach modest cuts that would lower federal spending by a mere 0.3% per year out of a current federal budget of $3.6 trillion, then we might as well signal to the whole world that we have no serious intention of dealing with our debt problem.

If we are going to wet our proverbial pants over 0.3% in annual spending cuts when we’re running up trillion dollar annual deficits, then we’re done. Put a fork in us. We’re finished. We’re going to default eventually and that’s why the feds are stockpiling bullets in case of civil unrest.

If we ARE serious about putting our fiscal house in order, then let’s stop the hysterics, tighten our belts, and take our medicine.

The Day Of Resistance- A Safe Place For Kids And All Those Big Scary Guns

They called it the Day Of Resistance. It was billed as a chance for the American people to stand together in defiance to protect the right that protects all of our rights, the Second Amendment. That is exactly what it turned out to be. A clear message to Washington that We the People will not tolerate unconstitutional actions by the President. But, while it was a special day, it was also just another American Saturday for me and my family. That’s precisely what makes us an exceptional nation. It’s ordinary to demonstrate and fight for liberty in an extraordinary way.

Rallies were held across the country. I had friends involved in Tennessee, New York, and elsewhere. I attended the Day of Resistance Rally in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania organized by Citizens for Liberty. Along with me, I brought my two year old son and my four year old daughter. That’s right Piers Morgan, I brought little children near responsible gun owners. And guess what? Many of the hundreds that attended the rally (despite a steady rain most of the day) had their big, bad firearms with them! You know who got hurt? NOT A SOUL. There were no criminals there. There were no maniacs. Just law abiding, freedom loving Americans, who unlike Andrew Cuomo, realize that our precious Second Amendment isn’t about hunting.

At the rally we heard from speakers including conservative State Representative Daryl Metcalfe. We listened to patriotic music. We met wonderful people who along with their impressive guns, also brought along their kids and dogs. We even met a man in a skeleton mask who held a sign that listed the Signs of Tyranny. The wonderfully terrifying mask was appropriate to get his point across. Although he was a Vikings fan, this Bears backer was happy to meet him.

My son, who is a truck enthusiast was happy to see the military vehicle parked at the event, emblazoned with the word ‘Liberty’. My daughter, already a junior Palinista pointed with beaming pride at every American flag she spotted. In between splashing in puddles, petting dogs, and chasing her brother, you could see, even in a nursery schooler, someone who is immensely proud to call this land our land. Her land.

The rest of my day was classically American too. I wished my Jewish friends a Happy Purim, attended a surprise party for our church’s pastor, checked the sports scores, and later went to work to continue to earn a living for those little patriots that had such a blast at a very wet gun rally on another ordinary, extraordinary Saturday. Diverse. Free. America.

It’s important to bring children to great American gatherings like these, not just because they have fun waving their American Grizzlies United signs or helping dad pass out his SarahNET Radio cards, but because no matter how old they are it’s never too early to start teaching the vital lesson that freedom is not free. Our founders had to fight for this Republic and now, all these years later we must do the same, especially when our fundamental rights are under attack.

One speaker at Saturday’s rally hammered home the point that we do not get our rights from Harrisburg or Washington but from God, our creator. We must not forget this. The Day Of Resistance must not be a one shot deal, but rather a springboard to continue to stand up for my children and yours.

Saturday February 23, 2013 will go down as a success for liberty. Those looking to strip our freedom know we are here and they know we are on to them, even if the media won’t make it seem that way. I look forward to another day like this, so my kids can once again see what we are really all about. No one was hurt. Nothing went wrong. No guns magically sprouted a pair of legs and began to shoot. It was just another ordinary, extraordinary day in this exceptional nation.

John Force on NASCAR and Danica-mania: “It’s not like she delivered the baby Jesus”

15 time NHRA Funny Car World Champion John Force, the winningest professional drag racer in history, is known for speaking his mind, and this weekend his mind was on the overblown media reaction over Danica Patrick capturing the pole for the Daytona 500.

You see, while everyone over in the roundy-round world was patting themselves on the back over having a single woman in competition at the highest level, John Force’s youngest daughter, Courtney, was in Pomona, California at the season opening Winternationals.

John’s middle daughter, Brittany, was making her professional debut in Top Fuel, as well.

Courtney not only qualified number one with a 4.036 second pass at 318.24 mph, she totally dominated the event, saving her quickest run [and career best] for the final where she defeated Ron Capps with a 4.025 at 317.12 mph. This is the second time she has defeated the veteran driver en route to a national event win, and the third national event win of her career [second since joining the professional ranks last season]

Courtney also stepped into first place in championship points, and earned a spot in the Traxxas Nitro Shootout that will be held at the U S Nationals on Labor Day weekend in Indianapolis.

Courtney is actually the second woman in history to sit in the number one position in Funny Car points. Her oldest sister, Ashley Force-Hood, previously held the number one position several years back, and would go on to finish second in the world championship battle that season.

With all of this in mind, John Force talked with racing journalist Michael Knight before Sunday’s final rounds at the NHRA Arizona Nationals. From the interview, published on Arizona Central, titled Courtney Force gets win; Danica Patrick gets press:

How big is Sunday’s story line of Danica Patrick trying to win today’s Daytona 500 after becoming the first woman to win a NASCAR Sprint Cup series pole?

“I get that Danica got the pole is a big deal, but it is not like she delivered the baby Jesus,” John Force said.

Forgive the 15-time NHRA Funny Car champion for being blunt.

His youngest daughter, Courtney, 24, won last Sunday’s Mello Yello Drag Racing Series opener in Pomona, Calif. — from the pole, and with the weekend’s quickest pass.

But those accomplishments by last season’s Rookie of the Year went virtually unnoticed by the national media, obsessed with Patrick’s qualifying run, celebrity — and boyfriend, fellow driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr.

“I’m like a bear with his baby cub: I’m going to lean toward my kid,” Force said at Firebird International Raceway before today’s Arizona Nationals.

“But, in the big picture, they are NASCAR, and the world bows down to them. We don’t have that clout.”

Courtney admitted she was disappointed.

“It’s a little frustrating,” she said before qualifying third in her Traxxas Ford Mustang on Saturday.

“I guess I’m not too surprised because NASCAR is so huge. I wanted my team and NHRA to get the exposure. I didn’t really care if I got it or not.”

“I think it would be cool for her to win (Daytona), because it would bring a lot of exposure to her and NASCAR. I’m hoping for more. The only thing really left is to win the championship as a female, and maybe I can do that and it will shine the light on NHRA.”

Drag racing has a long history of successful female racers, like Shirley Muldowney.

“That’s the great thing about NHRA: It’s more widely accepted,” Courtney Force said. “It’s no big surprise, a woman succeeding. Maybe they’re (NASCAR) behind the game a little.”

Sister Ashley Force Hood, NHRA’s first Funny Car winner in 2008, agreed.

“NHRA is ahead of NASCAR on that,” she said. “I didn’t hear one person say to Courtney’s team, ‘Good job. You got a girl to win.’ It was, ‘You guys had a great car.’ That’s what makes us proud.”

“Sometimes you feel like you’re taking a step back when people make a big deal: ‘Oh, the first girl …’ That’s not what your goal is. You want to be better than everyone you’re competing against. It (Courtney’s victory) didn’t come out in the media the way we hoped but the people who know how hard these cars are to get down the track were impressed.”

I can understand NASCAR trying to milk Danica-mania for all it’s worth, but as a racer, it gets old. Sure, she’s a decent driver, and has certainly done well, but she has a long way to go yet. The good news is Danica herself knows this, and showed great maturity in Sunday’s Daytona 500. She didn’t win, but was certainly impressive in her finish.

That said, NASCAR is so far behind the NHRA when it comes to women and minorities, it’s rather sad. Women have won national events in our sport since the 1960s, and have won multiple world championships. Minorities, blacks and Hispanics, have also had great success in NHRA drag racing since day one. The current NHRA Top Fuel Champion, Antron Brown, is black, one hell of a race car driver, and a fan favorite.

Women drive roundy-round cars, and are plenty capable of winning in them, one wonders why it’s only a novelty in NASCAR.

By the way, the last person to win Funny Car Eliminator at the Winternationals from the number one position was the legendary Don “The Snake” Prudhomme, long before Courtney Force was born! Her outstanding performance at Pomona was a big deal, indeed.

Todd Palin Finishes Strong in Iron Dog Race, Donates Winnings to Chris Kyle Memorial Fund

Sarah Palin has talked about she and husband Todd’s friendship with Chris Kyle. Not only did Todd and Chris compete on the NBC show Stars Earn Stripes to raise money for charity, Chris worked security in Pella, Iowa at the world premier of the Steven K Bannon film The Undefeated. Todd and his partner Scott Davis dedicated this year’s Iron Dog race, a nearly 2000 mile endurance run through Alaska’s frozen wilderness, to the memory of Chris Kyle.

Over the weekend Sarah posted a note on Facebook about Todd’s strong finish, and noted he was donating his winnings to the Chris Kyle Memorial Trust.

Finished strong in the Iron Dog! Todd just told me, “Along with the competition, this was another great trip across Alaska seeing old friends in villages. Honored to have a picture with Alaska’s famous elder, Sydney Huntington. (He’s the one who gave us the quote, ‘Common sense is an endangered species in government.’) I’m overwhelmed by the hospitality and support shown to us in each town and village. I love these folks. It was a rough and tough race, but I’m glad we were able to finish, and I kept in mind I was racing in honor of our fallen warriors who secure our freedom.”

Todd’s race winnings are donated to The Chris Kyle Memorial Fund. For the kids and me, we’re proud of our Iron Dogger, especially his dedication to family and freedom.
