“I Can See Russia..” Back in the News. Sarah Palin Speaks Out About Tina Fey.

By Isabel Matos

UPDATE 9/22 7:12 p.m.:  Here’s the shortlink to the clip above for efficient sharing: http://youtu.be/_C_65naapVk (Thank you for all the feedback!)

I’ve had enough of reporters in the Spanish-speaking community in America imitating the liberal media, the comics and the lies about Sarah Palin that distort the truth about the message she delivers and the incredibly intelligent individual that she is.  It’s back. The Russia meme and Fey impersonation hype is to call attention away from those two items mentioned: her message and intelligence.

The Daily Caller recently published an article mentioning an interview Sarah Palin with the Hollywood Reporter where she said Fey should pay her something for having capitalized on her impersonation.  The clip was done to get that message out to Spanish-English speakers, and to emphasize that Tina Fey was wrong about not only the comment about Russia, but a couple of others as well, for several reasons.  Sarah Palin never said she saw Russia from her house:

“They’re our next-door neighbors, and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska, from an island in Alaska.” ~ Gov. Sarah Palin, 2008.

From the article in the Sarah Palin Information Blog which shared an editorial from the New York Sun by Benyamin Korn who wrote:

Governor Palin, of course, didn’t actually say “I can see Russia from my house.” That was Tina Fey parodying her reply to Charlie Gibson, to whom she said of Russia: “They’re our next-door neighbors, and you can actually see Russia from land here in Alaska.” But Mrs. Palin did actually comprehend the significance of Russia’s proximity to America. The secret program AP reports on was codenamed “Washtub.” The wire advises that “with the benefit of hindsight, it would be easy to dismiss ‘Washtub’ as a harebrained scheme born of paranoia.”  Don’t miss the rest of the information in the SPIB piece.

In the same article a picture of Sarah with decorated US Marine Corps war hero, Dakota Meyer, shows the area Governor Sarah Palin was talking about in 2008.  Sarah Palin Information Blog shared this image From the editors who took this photo shot, with Russia photo-bombing in the background:

Not specifically mentioned, but that is not the gravel from her house in Wasilla (just in case someone wondered…).

Gary explained it thoroughly in an article on this site (it was hysterical, too, criticizing those who still believed this..). He included clips with residents and reports about the location in Alaska, little Diomede island, where you can actually see Russia:

Little Diomede Island is a very small island on the Bering sea. An extreme place to live where temperatures reach 50 degrees below zero, with 40 mph winds for added fun. In the winter, when the sea is frozen, and the skies are clear, you can indeed see Russia, and if you want to risk it, walk there. It’s a roughly 2.5 mile hike.

Now, you would think anyone with common sense would give credence to the truth but we are dealing with a culture that has been dumbed down and taught to laugh at jokes that are really meant to spread a lie about a person who is doing everything possible to defend their rights.  Comedy is a tool to keep BelieV(ot)ers politically and pathetically misinformed.

The clip which was done in Spanish is English-friendly.  As a favor, I am asking you to please support this effort by sharing the clips or article wherever you can if you think it is important to reach smart Hispanics who happen to watch liberal Spanish-speaking news programs but who are not getting the complete story because the media is being dismissive, or because they insist on repeating the tired old mockery and joking lies. The left and the GOPe both benefit from the misinformation, needless to say.  It’s not considered pandering to inform bilingual constituents.  The whole point of doing these clips is to reach Ronald Reagan Republicans who happen to speak Spanish and English who our party abandoned. We are hungry for new leadership.

H/T Lynda for “Sarah Palin Was Right on the Significance of Russia’s Proximity to Alaska” article.

Hard to believe this old misquote by by Fey is still getting traction. But, the media will jump on any chance to mock Palin. What is Palin’s next move these days anyway? She should run for senate.

You can thank the Daily Caller, but when she launched the channel, it came up in the Spanish media. It’s like a title in front of her. It made me mad which is why my focus is ON THE SPANISH media. Any reporters in the Liberal Media who haven’t made the correction by now are lame, lost cases. You would think…

Thanks for stopping by and chiming in.

GOVERNOR Palin is a CEO, not someone who should be wasting her time in the US Senate! Besides, she’s ruled out that sort of thing, quite a while ago. Palin needs to run for President. That is the next logical step for one of America’s most successful Governors.

      • Ajsteele

I like Palin, but I’m not one that wants to see her run for president and lose. At least by mentioning running for the senate I’m dealing with a possible reality. Palin and the presidency is a fantasy. And as a good governor she should have finished out her term.

Sarah Palin was born to lead. It’s her instinct. No one is taking it to Obama like she is. You are wrong. And that Senate idea was implanted in people’s heads as one of many options her detractors have spread as rumors for her career since she is such a threat to ANY GOP nominee as well as Obama, like the one started that she should host the VIEW. It’s silly. It was also a scam that was used to raise funds. You may be one of those suckers who bought into the whole thing (I don’t know!): http://wp.me/pxxfo-4kA

Check out the Sarah Palin Channel also (it’s free unless you want to speak to her directly) https://sarahpalinchannel.com/ and see for yourself (if you have the intellectual honesty to admit it) how her executive approach to issues big an small exudes nothing by p.r.e.s.i.d.e.n.t. You’d be eating humble pie, I promise.

Whipping yourself up into a “Palin can do it” frenzy won’t make her any closer to the presidency, and it’s time that another Palin fan tells you bluntly. Do you realize the voter mindset out there? Even in the most bizarre scenario in which Palin is the nominee running against Hillary or whoever, she can’t win.

Big deal she’s “taking to Obama”, it means nothing as far as getting into the highest office in the land. Palin’s following is simply not wide reaching enough and a sizable amount of people think she is unintelligent, a kook and a flake.

I anticipate the typical pro Palin rhetoric from a supporter of hers such as you . Start dealing with facts and remove the dream sequence in which Palin proves everyone wrong and squeaks into a white house victory. Palin is an excellent leader and underrated as far as political savvy , however we do not live in Oz. And Palin does not need rumors to hurt her, she is already hurt by a firlmly established perception of herself. Read the web site until you are blue in the face, and you will get some great information but nothing to change this country as far as electing her to high office.

Governor Palin already has higher favorability numbers than Hillary, by over 20 points. She crushes Hillary among independent voters. You must have missed the polling that shows Americans don’t even want Hillary to run! Never mind all of the evil things Hillary has been involved in since her days in Mena Arkansas. Oh, and we now have her love letter to ant-American communist and Satan worshiper Saul Alinsky. THAT will definitely be a campaign issue, especially after 8 years of that Marxist devil Obama.

As for the rest of your nonsense, guess what, only ignorant people think that way. Informed voters know EXACTLY what Governor Palin has accomplished, and IF she were to decide to run, she would bring not only a superior resume, but a superior ability to communicate, to the table.

Hillary Clinton is an incredibly unlikable woman, Palin, on the other hand, has that rare ability top connect with people on a deep, individual level. IF she were to run, she would be able to speak to the American people in a way we haven’t seen since the great Ronald Reagan.

Obviously, you aren’t very intelligent, or informed, or you’d know back in 2008 Palin was drawing larger crowds than Obama. She’s still a major draw wherever she speaks.

I’ll reiterate the fact that the only unintelligent person in this deal is YOU.

      • Ajsteele

It really is sad to see such delusional response. I suppose it will take several election cycles for for it to sink in , if ever.

      • Isabel Matos

Are you looking in the mirror as you say that? Like a verbal selfie. 🙂

      • Gary P Jackson

The only delusional one in this deal is YOU. I’ve been watching Palin for a long, long time. Was a supporter LONG before McCain chose her as his running mate in 2008. [I was one of those who signed the petition demanding McCain choose her]

In 2010 Governor Palin was responsible for the Republican take-over of the House. In 2012 her’s was the ONLY endorsement that mattered. She had a 75% percent success rate, while dirt bag Karl Rove spent over $300 MILLION, for a 1% success rate.

Your ignorance and hate is rather boring. Take it somewhere else. You have proven you have nothing to add to the conversation.
