Election Eve Dump: Justice Department Turns Over 64,280 pages of Claimed ‘Executive Privilege’ Operation Fast and Furious Documents

Last night, in response to an Order from a Federal judge, the Department of Justice turned over 64,280 pages of documents that were withheld from Congress after President Obama asserted Executive Privilege on the eve of a contempt citation for Attorney General Eric Holder in June 2012. The sheer volume of last night’s document production—which consists entirely of documents that the Justice Department itself acknowledges are not covered by Executive Privilege—shows that the President and the Attorney General attempted to extend the scope of the Executive Privilege well beyond its historical boundaries to avoid disclosing documents that embarrass or otherwise implicate senior Obama Administration officials.
In effect, last night’s production is an admission that the Justice Department never had legitimate grounds to withhold these documents in the first place. Approximately two-thirds of the universe of documents that the Justice Department withheld from Congress has now been shown to be well outside the scope of Executive Privilege.
House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman Darrell Issa, R-Calif., today made the following statement on the Department of Justice’s document production related to the agency’s cover-up of Operation Fast and Furious:
“When Eric Holder wants to know why he was the first Attorney General held in criminal contempt of Congress, he can read the judge’s order that compelled the production of 64,280 pages that he and President Obama illegitimately and illegally withheld from Congress. Since these pages still do not represent the entire universe of the documents the House of Representatives is seeking related to the Justice Department’s cover-up of the botched gun-walking scandal that contributed to the death of a Border Patrol agent, our court case will continue. I am deeply concerned that some redactions to these documents may still be inappropriate and contrary to the judge’s order in the case. This production is nonetheless a victory for the legislative branch, a victory for transparency, and a victory for efforts to check Executive Branch power. As the production is extensive and may contain sensitive information, our investigative staff will be carefully examining the documents turned over last night.”

Gimmicky or not, Louie Gohmert is making headlines with his recent photo bombs. Above he appears between Ralph Reed and Kevin McCarthy, “next-in-line” to John Boehner who replaced Eric Cantor after his June 3rd defeat. Here is what it was really about: Boehner using threats to have McCarthy elected.
Next, Gohmert introduces a bill offering a Million Dollar Reward for recovering the lost Emails which he says they know are out there, and $500,000 for any information on who destroyed them. He tells Bill Hemmer Holder needs to go and that this offer is one way of working around his “Just Us” not Justice department that he is convinced will not do anything about it.

You may recall that back in May, CBS News’ Sharyl Attkisson reported she thought her computer had been hacked. Attkisson was one of the few major media journalists who reported on Obama and Holder’s criminal Fast and Furious program.
As you will recall, Fast and Furious put weapons in the hands of Mexican narco-terrorists, in a failed attempt to manipulate public opinion in America, as a way to usurp the Second Amendment to the Constitution. This criminal action by Obama and Holder led to mass murders in Mexico, and the slaughter of American border agents Brian Terry and Jaime Zapata.
Attkisson has also tirelessly reported on Benghazi, and exposed many of the corrupt “green” programs championed by the lawless Obama regime.
Here she talks with Chris Stigall, back in May. At the time she didn’t have proof of the hacking:
Ed Morrissey at Hot Air reported that Attkisson had told Laura Ingraham that a White House official had screamed and cursed at her, and the DOJ treated her similarly. Obviously angered by her truthful reporting.
Now Attkisson has proof her computers were hacked. In a prepared statement CBS reported that a forensic analysis “revealed an intruder had executed commands that appeared to involve search and exfiltration of data.”
This is down right chilling. This should bring down the entire Obama regime, but I have serious doubts those that have the power, have the guts to do anything about it.
No doubt that we are now living in a police state. This is no better than Nazi Germany, or the old Soviet Union. Though we’ve long decried a corrupt press, a press that serves more as a cheerleader for radical leftists, rather than impartial reporters of events, once a nation loses it’s free press, especially through intimidation, that nation is finished.
Devastating news concerning Obama’s main man Eric Holder. It’s pretty obvious that Holder lied under oath to the House Judiciary Committee investigating the assault on reporters’ Liberty and Freedom.

The vicious assault on Liberty and freedom by the Obama regime must be stopped. Just weeks before the election your team scrubbed the Benghazi talking points in 12 different versions, lied to the American people about some YouTube video being to blame for the deaths of brave Americans who put our country first, and you prove Michael Barone right when he writes, “What actually happened in Benghazi was out of sync with the Obama campaign line.” That’s why you all did what you did. Pure raw politics were at play during a horrific time of loss.
For more evidence of Hatch Act violations right under your nose, simply consider DOJ’s “massive and unprecedented intrusion” into the free press. Do you think they picked up some political talk when tapping the phones in the House press gallery?
Your team is out of control. Those who cannot remember the past and learn from it are doomed to repeat it, and that is exactly what is happening. Look back exactly 40 years ago this week and apply that disheartening chapter of American history to the team you’ve chosen and lead today.

If you know Attorney General Eric Holder’s history supporting communists, and murdering terrorists, over the American people, his latest insult to us all should come as no surprise, but if you don’t, let me give you a refresher course.
Holder’s law firm routinely does pro bono work for terrorists and Islamic supremacists.
During the Clinton presidency Holder worked over time to obtain a pardon for 16 murdering terrorists, members of the Puerto Rican terror group FALN.
The 16 members of the FALN (the Spanish acronym for Armed Forces of National Liberation) and Los Macheteros had been convicted in Chicago and Hartford variously of bank robbery, possession of explosives and participating in a seditious conspiracy. Overall, the two groups had been linked by the FBI to more than 130 bombings, several armed robberies, six slayings and hundreds of injuries.
Who can forget Holder’s pivotal role in the Elian Gonzales Affair? You remember little Elian. His mother left Cuba on a raft, child in her arms. His mother DIED escaping that communist hell. His mother DIED in order to give her son a better, safer, freer life.
What did Clinton, Holder, and company do about this? Why the sent the kid back to Cuba and their pal Fidel Castro, of course! Never mind Elian had family here in America who were more than happy to take care of him and raise him as an American. And never mind it is American policy to allow Cubans who escape to stay.
The armed thugs Eric Holder sent to snatch up young innocent Elian, and return him to communist hell!
And who could forget the what happened in Philly in 2008. Armed Black Panther terrorists showed up at a polling place, wearing full quasi-military-terrorist garb, and carrying nightsticks and weapons. These terrorists were convicted in absentia but upon being confirmed, Holder overturned those convictions. Holder has been giving aid and comfort to various Black Panther terrorists since being made Attorney General.
Of course, there is also Fast and Furious, Obama and Holder’s first attempt to pass unconstitutional gun grabbing laws. Holder put hundreds of weapons in the hands of Mexican narco-terrorists resulting in the murder of over 300 innocent Mexican citizens, as well as U.S. border agents Brian Terry and Jaime Zapata.
Both Holder and Obama, along with the rest involved in this, belong in prison, for the rest of their lives.

In the aftermath of the murders in Boston by radical Muslims, what is Eric Holder worried about now? It certainly isn’t looking at the other radicals that walk among us!
Eric Holder gave a speech, where he barely mentions the victims of the Boston terrorist, but spends the bulk of his time saying he is going to be on the lookout for retaliation against Muslims.

You know, after 9/11/01 and the worst attack on American soil, one might have expected a number of attacks on Muslims, especially those exhibiting hatred of America. Thing is, we saw very little of that. Americans were too busy morning the dead, and working to rebuild.
In Boston, the same thing happened. The people came together. Thankfully not a lot of property damage, but the damage to those attacked will stay with them forever, and yet, there hasn’t been a single reported case of retaliation.
This is what makes Eric Holder’s remarks so despicable.
Serious question. It’s obvious that Eric Holder, and a significant majority of those in the democrat party hate America in the form our founders created. They hate America so much, they accuse our people of unspeakable evils that simply aren’t happening. Why don’t Holder and others just leave America and go somewhere that they can be truly happy, and stop making us miserable?

Maybe some folks can begin to understand why Attorney General Eric Holder has a such a love for terrorists. Besides handing over assault weapons to Mexican drug cartels, who used them to slaughter innocent Mexican citizens, setting militant Black Panthers free, after being convicted of civil rights violations [armed voter intimidation in 2008] and setting murdering FLAN terrorists free during the Clinton years [Holder championed their presidential pardon] it now comes to light that in his younger days, Eric Holder himself was a violent militant.

As a freshman at Columbia University in 1970, future Attorney General Eric Holder participated in a five-day occupation of an abandoned Naval Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC) headquarters with a group of black students later described by the university’s Black Students’ Organization as “armed,” The Daily Caller has learned.
Department of Justice spokeswoman Tracy Schmaler has not responded to questions from The Daily Caller about whether Holder himself was armed — and if so, with what sort of weapon.
Holder was then among the leaders of the Student Afro-American Society (SAAS), which demanded that the former ROTC office be renamed the “Malcolm X Lounge.” The change, the group insisted, was to be made “in honor of a man who recognized the importance of territory as a basis for nationhood.”
Black radicals from the same group also occupied the office of Dean of Freshman Henry Coleman until their demands were met. Holder has publicly acknowledged being a part of that action.
The details of the student-led occupation, including the claim that the raiders were “armed,” come from a deleted Web page of the Black Students’ Organization (BSO) at Columbia, a successor group to the SAAS. Contemporary newspaper accounts in The Columbia Daily Spectator, a student newspaper, did not mention weapons.
The Student Afro-American Society (SAAS) was a black militant group that took part in the occupation of Hamilton Hall during the 1968 Columbia University protests.
It should be noted these protests and the protesters have ties to the Black Panthers terror group, as well as Obama’s best buddy Bill Ayers:
Students involved in the protests continued their involvement in protest politics in varied forms affecting the movement at large. Their many activities included forming communes and creating urban social organizations. Several Columbia SDS members combined with the New York Black Panther Party to create Weatherman, a group dedicated to the violent overthrow of the government.
First let me say that every single United States Senator that voted to confirm Holder as Attorney General, democrat and Republican alike, needs their ass whipped, and their resignations tendered. Immediately.
There was plenty of information out there that showed, beyond a shadow of all doubt, that Eric Holder was not fit to hold any public office, never mind be America’s top cop. That the United States Senate confirmed this dangerous radical is itself a crime, an indictment of how poorly run the Senate is.

You remember Jon Corzine, the disgraced New Jersey governor [Is there any other kind?] who ended up as Chairman and CEO of MF Global, where he promptly disappeared some $1.6 billion in customer funds.
Well most folks wonder why he isn’t being prosecuted by the Justice Department. Many think it might be because he’s been one of President Barack Obama’s campaign bundlers, but Wynton Hall at Andrew Breitbart’s Big Government reports the reason Corzine is a free man is a little more sinister:
Those wondering why the Department of Justice has refused to go after Jon Corzine for the vaporization of $1.6 billion in MF Global client funds need look no further than the documents uncovered by the Government Accountability Institute that reveal that the now-defunct MF Global was a client of Attorney General Eric Holder and Assistant Attorney General Lanny Breuer’s former law firm, Covington & Burling.

Records also reveal that MF Global’s trustee for the Chapter 11 bankruptcy retained as its general bankruptcy counsel Morrison & Foerester–the very law firm from which Associate Attorney General Tony West came to DOJ.

As Government Accountability Institute President Peter Schweizer explains in the Washington Times Thursday, the trustee overseeing MF Global’s bankruptcy is former FBI Director Louis Freeh.
At Holder’s Senate confirmation hearing Freeh served as a character witness for Holder and revealed that Holder had previously worked for Freeh. “As general counsel,” Freeh said, “I could have engaged any lawyer in America to represent our bank. I chose Eric.”
Until now, the conventional wisdom for why Holder wouldn’t throw the book at Corzine was that Corzine is an Obama campaign bundler. Indeed, as Breitbart Newsreported, four of the top officials at the Department of Justice–Eric Holder, Thomas Perrelli, Karol Mason, and Tony West–were also big money bundlers for Obama.
But the newly understood crony connections reveal conflicts of interest that extend well beyond mere political support for a common candidate–they go to a tangle of prior business dealings that further underscore the need for a special prosecutor in the Corzine case.
At least 65 members of Congress have already signed a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder requesting that he appoint a special prosecutor to investigate MF Global’s collapse and the loss of $1.6 billion in customer money. What’s more, even progressives have begun to wonder whether Holder’s Covington & Burling connection explains why the Department of Justice has not charged, prosecuted, or jailed a single Wall Street executive after the biggest financial collapse in American history.
This is unacceptable, but par for the course in Obama’s America. It’s Chicago thug politics at it’s finest.
Lawlessness is rampant, and those with connections to the Obama regime are allowed free reign to do as they will, while law abiding citizens are harassed and hassled.
Corruption in government is rampant. I wonder if anyone has the guts to stand up and say enough is enough. Sending letters is fine, but we need people who will demand action. People who will demand sudden and relentless reform.

In a just world, most of Obama’s staff, as well as Obama himself, would be facing decades of jail time for the many crimes and cover-ups they have been involved in for the last four years.

In the wake of the mass murders facilitated by President Barack Obama and his Attorney General Eric Holder, we’ve seen the democrats take extraordinary measures to deflect attention away from these crimes against humanity.
What is the worst presidential scandal in U S history, has been politicized by the democrats, hoping to muddy the waters. You have classless jackasses like Obama super-donor Bill Maher saying things like “Republicans don’t care about dead Mexicans.” And then there is Juan Williams, who when confronted by the panel on The Five about murdered border patrol agent Brian Terry, said “Hey, people die.”:

BOLLING: We gotta go – NO, not when someone’s dead Juan! Not when three hundred Mexicans…

BOLLING: Don’t you care about the three hundred Mexicans that died from the guns the guns that were traced back to Fast and Furious?

Then you have House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, who lead a walkout of democrats, during the vote to hold Eric Holder both civilly and criminally in contempt of Congress.
Pelosi, couldn’t even bring herself to say agent Brian Terry’s name correctly, even with notes in hand:
The democrats have proven they don’t give a damn about Brian Terry or Jaime Zapata, an ICE agent who may also have been murdered by the guns the Obama regime put in the hands of narco-terrorists. They most certainly don’t give a damn about the hundreds of dead Mexicans.

You can imagine how I felt when our friend Ray sent us the following article. While the democrats can’t be bothered by the mass murder of hundreds of innocent Mexicans, or the capital murder of two federal agents, they have written a letter demanding an investigation into the death of an illegal alien.
Anastasio Hernández-Rojas was killed while fighting border agents who were in the process of deporting him after he illegally entered the United States.
Sixteen members of Congress are calling for an investigation into the death of Anastasio Hernandez Rojas after a PBS documentary aired last month that raised questions about just how involved the Border Patrol was in the illegal immigrant’s killing.
The letters sent yesterday to Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano, Attorney General Eric Holder and the Homeland Security Office of the Inspector General ask the federal government to take another look and claim that the Department of Justice has been taking too long to handle the case.
Hernandez Rojas was allegedly tased and beaten to death by U.S. Border Patrol agents two years ago after a fight broke out as he was being returned to the border.
The agency has defended the use of force by its agents, maintaining that Hernandez Rojas’ behavior was “combative” enough to necessitate the use of batons and the stun gun, the Huffington Post reported.
But footage from the PBS documentary claims that Hernandez Rojas was surrounded by more than a dozen agents, hogtied and pleading for help before he was tased.
Luz Rojas, the mother of the Mexican native, has been in the U.S. this week, asking officials to investigate further into the incident.
Advocacy groups including Presente.org and their supporters have gathered in eight cities across the U.S. protesting what they say is the government’s egregious lack of action two years after the incident, according to the Huffington Post.
“The disturbing footage and eye-witness accounts that aired on PBS raise serious questions about the Border Patrol’s role in the death of Anastasio Hernandez Rojas and after two years, we owe it to his family to finally provide some definitive answers,” Rep. Lucille Roybal-Allard (D-Calif.), said in a news release.
Congresswoman Roybal-Allard was one of those who walked out as the House voted to hold Attorney General Holder in contempt.
Reading the Yahoo article it sounds like a lovable Hernández-Rojas was murdered by rogue agents, but the New Your Times, of all places, has a little more information. It seems Hernández-Rojas attacked the agents and they were trying to subdue him: [emphasis mine]
San Diego Police Investigate the Death of a Mexican Man Resisting Deportation
LOS ANGELES — The San Diego police are investigating the death of a Mexican man who was struck with a baton and shocked with a stun gun by federal officers as he resisted being deported. The Mexican government and a human rights group condemned the death, which comes after Mexico has condemned Arizona’s tough new immigration enforcement law.
The police said Anastacio Hernández-Rojas, 32, was struck and stunned by several officers from the Border Patrol and Customs and Border Protection on Saturday as they were trying to subdue him.
He had been detained by the Border Patrol on Friday east of San Diego after he crossed into the United States from Mexico with his brother. He was taken to a Border Patrol station and, as is customary with Mexican nationals without a criminal record, signed papers agreeing to be quickly deported without a hearing.
He was taken in a van to the San Ysidro border crossing, 15 miles south of downtown San Diego, where officers planned to walk him to a gate and release him to Mexican immigration authorities.
But as they removed his handcuffs about 25 feet from the gate, Mr. Hernández-Rojas began fighting with officers, said Capt. Jim Collins of the San Diego Police Department, which is investigating the case under an agreement it has with Customs and Border Protection for deaths involving officers.
One officer struck him with a baton, and another fired a Taser, Captain Collins said.
Shortly afterward, the officers discovered that Mr. Hernández-Rojas was not breathing, administered cardiopulmonary resuscitation and called for an ambulance. He was taken to a local hospital and died after a short time on life support, Captain Collins said.
Customs and Border Protection released a statement saying the man “became combative,” leading officers to use the Taser to “subdue the individual and maintain officer safety.” The agency, which is also investigating the death, declined to comment further.
The San Diego medical examiner is investigating the cause of death. It was not known if Mr. Hernández-Rojas had underlying medical problems, but an autopsy will determine that, Captain Collins said.
Don’t get me wrong, I’m NOT saying this incident shouldn’t be investigated, and if the agents are found to have done something wrong, they should be punished. But let’s look at this from the officers prospective. The border with Mexico is a dangerous place. Narco-terrorists regularly fire on American agents. American agents have been killed.
The number of dangerous criminals, with or without “records,” who sneak across the border is high.
The regular cop on the street in Anytown, USA has to be on his toes, even when making a traffic stop, because you never know who is behind the wheel. For border agents, it’s even more dangerous. They are dealing with criminals who have already broken the law, many who feel they have nothing to lose. The brave men and women who protect our borders put their lives on the live every single day.
In the case of Hernández-Rojas, you have someone who signed papers agreeing to be deported, rather than go to jail. I would imagine the officers felt this was a routine deal, until Hernández-Rojas attacked them. When someone attacks not one, but a group of armed police officers, you gotta figure they are crazy, desperate, and dangerous. The agents were lucky none of them were injured.
But that’s not the point of this article. The point is, the democrat party and the liberal media, is more concerned with the unfortunate death of a criminal who attacked law enforcement officials, than the murder of hundreds of innocent Mexicans, and two of our finest and bravest.
It’s simply maddening. But protecting our lawless President and his equally lawless Attorney General, is more important to democrats than the lives of innocent people.
