Family, Politics and the Scandal of Corruption That Binds Them: Should Those Ties Compromise Rand in 2016?

mitch-mcconnell-10

by Isabel Matos

I hate working in a vacuum when preparing a video or a lengthy article sometimes because it can take hours away from interacting with people; but I actually enjoyed putting this clip (and article) together because my mission and obsession is to expose GOP corruption and deception. I think you will like it.

In this story we have an entrenched five-term Establishment politician with the second-most powerful position in the Senate (Minority Leader, Republican Mitch McConnell) grasping to retain his power one more term to maybe be Majority Leader (an ironic scenario given it would be made possible by Tea Party support of the same Conservatives he is trying to defeat). We have a Junior Senator (Rand Paul) compromising his own Tea Party principles as he vies for that position or a higher one down the road that will secure a place for him to lead in some leading capacity (as he will never be president). Because the Junior Senator comes from the same state as the elder status-quo he has to play the game and run everything he does past the Establishment we are ALL trying to take on. And last (for the sake of this article, there are more) we have a family member, confidant and campaign manager -Jesse Benton- who they have in common. Benton is not the only bad guy in this political drama which also happens to be a family affair. Benton is married to Rand Paul’s niece (or Ron Paul’s granddaughter). Their corruption, however, is putting our country at risk and possibly why Sarah didn’t get near this race directly. The entrenchment is as thick as the bonds that tie their family.

Jesse Benton was a top campaign aide during Rand Paul’s 2010 Senate bid and became campaign manager after a staff shake up. He served as communications director in 2008 and then campaign manager in 2012 for each one of Ron Paul’s Presidential bids. Mitch McConnell hired him to be his reelection 2014 campaign manager as part of his commitment to running a presidential campaign in Kentucky, which he announced in a prepared statement on September 13, 2012:

[a campaign] starts with a presidential manager. Jesse is literally the best in the business at building and organizing conservative grassroots  movements and I’m thrilled he’s chosen to return to Kentucky to lead my campaign.

The merger was a no-brainer:  McConnell would use Paul to help him garner the Tea Party vote (albeit dishonestly and deceivingly). In turn, Paul would have a very powerful “ally” and access to huge amounts of money for being a loyal “ally”.

Benton’s move from the Paul camp to McConnell’s left some conservative activists scratching their heads because of the two senators’ divergent political philosophies. But since Paul arrived in the Senate, the gentlemen from Kentucky have nurtured a symbiotic partnership that gives Paul establishment credibility while shoring up McConnell’s bona fides among the Tea Party base f.

On February 18th a complaint was filed with the Iowa Senate Ethics Committee regarding a payoff for an endorsement for Ron Paul in the Iowa caucuses. In the complaint Pete Waldron, former campaign staffer for Michele Bachmann alleged that the Paul campaign, “its operatives, and third parties conspired to pay a bribe” to Sorenson “to betray” Bachmann and publicly endorse Ron Paul. The names of those involved are listed here; among them Jesse Benton and Dimitri Kasari.

On December 28th, 2011.. Iowa State Senator and Campaign Chairman for Michele Bachmann for President, Kent Sorenson resigned from Bachmann’s campaign during the 2012  Iowa Caucuses and endorsed 12-term congressman Ron Paul instead.

While this event did not significantly affect the outcome of the election, Sorenson’s endorsement of Congressman Paul is drawing heavy scrutiny after e-mail conversations and memos released exposed a financial proposal of over $200,000 for Sorenson’s defection from the Bachman campaign.

The results of the January 3rd Iowa caucuses were too close to call – the closest in its history. It appeared that Mitt Romney had won at first, but after the results were released on January 19th, it was Rick Santorum who had beat him by a small margin, missing out on all the attention and PR Romney got for it. Ron Paul came in third place. Michele Bachmann came in sixth and dropped out of the race.

The credible allegations in the complaint resulted in Kent Sorenson resigning from office as Senator in October of 2013.  Sorenson admitted receiving payments from, among others, Ron Paul’s deputy campaign adviser, Dimitri Kesari. The federal probe continues it seems. FBI raids reveal connections to the case. Computers have been removed from Sorenson’s house and a grand jury investigation is ongoing.

The FEC assigned a MUR (“Matter Under Review”) number, which indicates a formal inquiry will begin. It has not fazed Benton who is not answering questions about the bribe, or Paul who has tapped him to be his 2016 campaign manager.

Rand Paul’s political adviser, Doug Stafford was managing a consultant involved in bribery payments to Sorenson. His name: Dimitri Kesari. Stafford is Executive Director of Redirecting America (in a) New Direction (RandPac) and is busy ramping-up a political infrastructure “for the 2016 presidential hopeful.”

Jesse Benton joining Stafford makes sense given his comments in a secretly recorded conversation provided to OpenSecrets Blog and other outlets saying that he had accepted the job as McConnell’s campaign manager for the purpose of bolstering Rand Paul’s prospects in 2016.

Jesse Benton has a record of unethical conduct. His ties with so-called conservative organizations like “Americans for Tax Reform” (founded by Grover Norquist, known GOP infiltrator) and the ACU (also known to be infiltrated by GOP enemies Norquist and Suhail Khan) should also be noted. In a simple search:

Who is Jesse Benton? Jesse Benton is a political consultant and libertarian activist know for working with conservative and libertarian organizations like Americans for Tax Reform, the Liberty Coalition, and the American Conservative Union. Benton is strongly associated with the Paul family, serving as a high-ranking staffer for both Ron Paul and Rand Paul.

Those two associations alone would explain many of the stances Paul has taken on issues clearly not supported by the Tea Party, base of the GOP and movement he supposedly represents and is the leader of. He is using them for his political gain and in the process is guilty of confusing and depriving voters of the truth about who he really is.. A fake friend of Conservatives which makes him… a RHino.

Ron Paul Joins Democrats in Defeating Sex Selection Abortion Ban, Allowing Genocide to Continue UPDATED

****UPDATED at the bottom of the page*****

By Gary P Jackson

A society is judged by how it treats the least among us. Today, I’d give us an F!

It seems there really is a war on women being waged by the democrat party. A vile, wicked war of death. Ron Paul and six other Republican have joined democrats in supporting this mass murder.

A few days ago pro-life advocate Lila Rose released a disturbing tape recounting an investigation into Planned Parenthood. The tape, made at a Planned Parenthood abortion mill in Austin, Texas, shows a woman talking to one of the workers about aborting her baby, if it’s a girl, because she’d rather have a boy. The Planned Parenthood worker then goes into detail telling the woman, actually an undercover investigator, how to get things done.

Today, Live Action, Rose’s group, has released the full tape documenting this encounter. It’s long, a little over an hour, but is a must see:

We also have tape of her talking with Bill O’Reilly about this despicable practice:

The idea that a mother can just go in and destroy a human being on a whim is sickening enough for most decent people, but the idea of murdering one’s child, just because they are a little girl, rather than a boy, is just too horrific to think about, let alone put into words.

Obviously, this has outraged Americans, and for once, Congress decided to take swift and decisive action. Unfortunately, to try and rush this through quickly, under House rules that limit debate, you need a two thirds majority for the bill to pass. Thanks to Ron Paul, and six other Republicans, the bill failed to receive the required number of votes needed to pass.

Much to their credit, twenty democrats joined Republicans in the attempt to stop this unnecessary genocide.

Republicans who don’t care about the slaughter of little girls, joining Ron Paul, are Justin Amash (Mich.), Charlie Bass (N.H.), Mary Bono Mack (Calif.), Robert Dold (Ill.), Richard Hanna (N.Y.), and Nan Hayworth (N.Y.).

The democrats who DO care about stopping this vile, pagan ritual are: Jason Altmire (Pa.), John Barrow (Ga.), Dan Boren (Okla.), Jim Cooper (Tenn.), Jerry Costello (Ill.), Mark Critz (Pa.), Henry Cuellar (Texas), Joe Donnelly (Ind.), John Garamendi (Calif.), Tim Holden (Pa.), Larry Kissell (N.C.), Daniel Lipinski (Ill.), Stephen Lynch (Mass.), Jim Matheson (Utah), Mike McIntyre (N.C.), Collin Peterson (Minn.), Nick Rahall (W.Va.), Silvestre Reyes (Texas), Mike Ross (Ark.) and Heath Shuler (N.C.).

There were seventeen cowards from both parties who didn’t vote. They are just as guilty as those who voted against the bill. For the complete vote count, click here.

It’s bad enough that, as a society, we put up with the wholesale slaughter of children. The idea of allowing these sex selection murders to continue is incomprehensible to me.

It’s downright evil.

It makes one wonder when it will end. We already murder children just because they are disabled. Recently Bristol Palin, whose brother Trig has Down Syndrome, penned an article talking about the 8% of Down Syndrome babies who are allowed to live.

Scientists are said to be working on a way to determine if a fetus will turn out to be a gay or straight child. Will liberals be so understanding of murder if parents start killing their gay babies? Or will they finally draw the line?

Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood, and a hero of the progressive movement, was a eugenicist. It was a popular thought among early 20th century liberals that man could control the “quality” of human beings through selective breeding, and the murder of those who didn’t meet the standards set by these scientists. Sort of an early incarnation of “death panels.”

Sanger and her contemporaries were quite successful. One of her targets were Negroes. She called them “human weeds.” Today a black baby is more likely to be aborted, than born. If you want to see some truly horrific statistics, I suggest readers check out the website Black Genocide for details.

Adolf Hitler was a fan of Sanger’s and other eugenicists. Reading their works inspired Hitler, and Mengele to embark on their journey to create a “master race” of Germans, which ultimately led to the slaughter of six million Jews.

The sort of thinking that allows the mass murder of infants always ends up bad. The inherent evil of it all ensures it will end badly.

There are a lot of battles the American people are fighting. All of them are essential battles. We are battling a big, bloated government, runaway spending, unsustainable debt, and massive losses of Liberty and Freedom. These are all battles we must win, but nothing is more sacred than innocent life. If we can’t stop the slaughter of innocent little girls, then one wonders if we deserve, as a society, to continue.

The liberal mindset has always confused the hell out of me. The same liberals who DEMAND we allow the mass murder of tens of millions of children to continue, unchecked, go crazy when people hunt, fish, or other wise kill animals. Even if they are doing it for food.

The same loud, nasty protesters who show up to protest any attempt to stop abortion on demand, will then go to the local prison to protest the death penalty for some cop killer. In the liberal’s mind, it’s their right to murder innocent children who have harmed absolutely no one, but don’t you dare punish a life long criminal who has killed.

It’s been long said that liberalism is a mental disorder. It’s hard to argue with that.

Shame on Ron Paul for voting with the democrats. This is a character who used the fact that he was a doctor to claim he was pro-life. Has featured in it’s campaigns for years. And yet, when he had a real opportunity to prove it, he sides with the far left. Kind of like when he had a chance to support the Republican ticket in 2008, and help stop Barack Obama, he chose to endorse Communist Cynthia McKinney for president, instead.

Shame on all of the Republicans who care so little about human life. May they all be soundly defeated in their elections.

Shame on those who didn’t vote. That’s a cowards way out.

One more thing. Austin’s Planned Parenthood slaughter house isn’t the only location helping women kill little girls just because they are little girls. Today Live Action released a video from New York City:

NEW YORK, May 31 — Today, Live Action released a new undercover video showing Planned Parenthood’s Margaret Sanger clinic in New York City helping a woman determine if her unborn child was female so she could have a sex-selection abortion. The video is second in a new series titled “Gendercide: Sex-Selection in America,” exposing the practice of sex-selective abortion in the United States and how Planned Parenthood and the rest of the abortion industry facilitate the selective elimination of baby girls in the womb.

The new video can be viewed at www.ProtectOurGirls.com, a hub of research and information on sex-selective abortions.

In the video, Planned Parenthood social worker Randi Coun advises the woman on an early, definitive method to tell the gender of her child in the late first or early second trimester:

So if you were to have what’s called a CVS test, which is, do you know what that is?” she asks, referring to the genetic Chorionic Villus Sampling test. “It’s done between 11 and 13 weeks, so it is a test that you could do now.” CVS tests have a risk of miscarriage of about 1 in 100, which Coun did not mention, and are typically done to test for genetic disorders in a pregnancy.

Coun also reassures the woman that she can carry her pregnancy farther into term before her abortion. “An abortion at any stage up to 24 weeks is considered a safe procedure,” she asserts. ” It’s not that it’s unsafe, or that there’s a lot more risk involved, it’s just there’s more steps involved and it’s just a little more complicated.

Planned Parenthood’s Margaret Sanger Center in New York City does abortions up to 24 weeks of pregnancy and is the organization’s national headquarters.

I can tell you that here at Planned Parenthood we believe that it’s not up to us to decide what is a good or a bad reason for somebody to decide to terminate a pregnancy,” Coun adds concerning the woman’s request for a sex-selective abortion. Planned Parenthood CEO Cecile Richards yesterday opposed a ban on sex-selective abortions on the grounds that it would “limit [a woman’s] choices as she makes personal medical decisions.”

Planned Parenthood has built their abortion empire on their belief that any abortion is a good abortion, even if it is motivated by the very discrimination against women that they claim to abhor,” says Lila Rose, president of Live Action. “Planned Parenthood’s abortion-first mentality leads them to defend targeting baby girls for extermination. When any of Planned Parenthood’s other ideological commitments comes into conflict with their abortion-first mentality, it’s clear that abortion always takes priority.”

Six studies in the past four years indicate that there are thousands of “missing girls” in the U.S. from sex-selective abortion. The U.K., India, Australia, and other countries ban sex-selective abortion, but the U.S., save for three states, does not. This afternoon, the House of Representatives will vote on the Prenatal Non-Discrimination Act (PRENDA), which would ban sex-selective abortions nationally.

Live Action is a youth led movement dedicated to building a culture of life and ending the human rights
abuse of abortion. They use new media to educate the public about the humanity of the unborn and
investigative journalism to expose threats against the vulnerable and defenseless. More information at
LiveAction.org.

I want readers to think about this for a minute: Pretty soon, in New York City, you won’t be able to buy a 20oz Coke, but you can murder your baby girl with no repercussions whatsoever!

Yes, liberalism is a mental disorder. It’s also downright evil.

We must demand these barbaric rituals be stopped.

****UPDATE****

Just wanted to point out this legislation also included a ban on race-based selection as well as the sex-based selection ban on abortions. This is something democrats would rather you not know.

Mark Levin discusses it all here.

****Note to our readers****

We’ve gotten a lot of nasty comments from Ron Paul supporters. Most too vulgar to print. I have however posted the ones that were printable, and have engaged the commenters. Nothing new there, but if readers sense a certain tone to the replies, it’s because I’ve had just about enough of Ron Paul and the cult of personality that surrounds him. And I’m sick of those who have a ready excuse for whatever he does, no matter how far out of the mainstream it is.

I honestly feel that standing with the democrats, standing on the side of pure evil, should be Ron Paul’s lasting legacy. Before leaving Congress, Ron Paul, for once, had a chance to stand for something decent. He failed. So did the other Republicans who joined him.

As always, we’ll post any reply to any article here. However, long incoherent rants, as well as profanity laced tirades will be deleted. Got no time for either.

RNC Chairman Reince Preibus on Ron Paul and his Movement

By Isabel Matos

Winning delegates or not, Ron Paul has the GOP in damage control mode.

I’m not a journalist, but I do make observations and take note when I see an inconsistency. And there is a slew of them in this election! I hope you’re ready because this one is a doozie. My follow-up will combine 1) the RNC’s admitted merger with Mitt Romney, 2) RNC Chair’s comments on Ron PAUL and his movement, and 3) the link that exposes the RNC is breaking rules again by helping Mitt!

First on the list is the merger and RNC Chair Reince Priebus’s comments “On the Record with Greta Van Susteren“ April 26th, 2012, the day after Mitt Romney’s victory speech

You must see by the transcript below this commentary for the juicy details. (I love exactness!) I can summarize it in a few words: Priebus confirms officially RNC’s support for Romney, he asserts that Ron PAUL and Mitt ROMNEY have a strong relationship, that it is well-documented, and that the movement is pleased with the issues that he (Ron Paul) has been talking about which have become mainstream in the Republican Party.

I don’t know about you, but if I was a Ron Paul supporter, I would be pretty peeved!! This has to be annoying! Here I am, spending my life trying to get a guy to win, and this hired liar comes along to say we’re pleased with the mainstream message of the Republican Party, the very problem we have been fighting all along. It would not be a stretch to say that this IS quite a welcome, ironic twist for those of us who have been trying to get the attention of the GOP who has ignored and dismissed us for years. Yes, a treat, indeed. Maybe I’ll just sit back while eating popcorn to watch it play out!!!

If the RNC is hoping to court Ron Paul supporters by misleading the public on their “pleasure with the Republican Party‘s mainstream message“, they can knock themselves out! They thought they had a challenge with Sarah Palin supporters? They ain’t seen nothin’ yet! To the RNC: you can deal with the annoying and obnoxious Paul supporters the rest of us have been subjected to for months. Nothing could be sweeter than the justice that is about to be done on you should they get defiant. The Paulites have been like piranhas in this election. They are devious creatures that will DEVOUR you! To the Ron Paul movement, thanks, too! You can now deal with the lying RNC your way! I could not be more gleeful or relieved that something is doing my work for me. Yes, I am loving every minute of what is about to hit the fan.!! I might get some goggles, boots and an umbrella while I’m at it. This is cosmic irony and political karma gone wild! Why get in the way of a huge brawl that is about to explode before our eyes!? I won’t!

Seriously, though, it just goes to show you what the RNC is willing to endure, how many millions they are willing to spend, and what a war path they are willing to engage in with their constituents (war THEY have declared on us, not us on them). The GOP will lie, cheat and try to steer us until the bitter end, even at their own peril, yet they will not be caught dead or alive supporting Sarah Palin.

It begs the question, why would they endure such grief? (Jeb 2016, maybe?) How far must a party let the country sink for the sake of one man’s quest for personal power (if indeed it is the case that Jeb is looking to run in 2016.)

Has the party been hijacked by Bush Inc, or is this considered business as usual in GOP world? You would think they’d show a little urgency given the circumstances the country has been in for four years. What they show instead is a nicely glossed, shiny face (don’t you just love that Dana Perino?) that is hiding the corroded core inside. If we are being held hostage and IF there has been a deliberate attempt to divide We-the-People to complete a Bush 1, 2, 3 and yes, 4 (George, Jr. coming soon to an election near you) family resume, then POWER does corrupt, even the best among us.

The Bushes used to be highly regarded, at least where I come from. They were always classy, but it is becoming painfully evident that they are blind, deaf and out-of-control GREEDY, which will hurt their cause and their party (not “ours“) after all is said and done. Contrary to what Mr. Priebus said, this IS, in fact, about the Republican Party. (I wonder why he even mentioned that?)

In the end, when We-the-People will have prevailed, they will have to lick their wounds as they cut off their proverbial nose to spite their face should everything I have commented on be true. Watching their demise may be cathartic to many, but the future and soul of our country is at stake, and I think it is both despicable, unwise and 100% inappropriate. I do hope the insanity ends soon.

Here’s the transcript (Please feel free to share the comments in bold with Ron Paul supporters for fun)

(Intro: Greta’s show begins with a discussion about immigration. She mentions how it’s a sizzling issue in the race for the White House and cites a Fox News Poll taken April 22-24: Obama at 46%, Romney at 46%.

GRETA: Right now polls show President Obama and Mitt Romney in a dead heat. Both will be fighting tooth and nail for every single vote, and illegal immigration is one of the political weapons.. RNC Chair joins us..

Pleasantries are exchanged, a brief discussion follows. Reince says ultimately the referendum will be on Barack Obama, he discusses jobs, party message and messengers being in a better place than 08.)

GRETA: All right, the Merger. RNC and Governor Romney, is it official?

REINCE: It’s official. I mean, we’re excited about it. We declared Mitt Romney the presumptive nominee of the Republican Party. We declared that this morning. It’s been a smooth transition. I mean so far we’ve had great people come in and be part of the team at the RNC. We’ve got liasons coming in at the RNC. That we’ve spilled that out in the media. Without getting into it, it’s been going well.

GRETA: All right, and the prediction is that Speaker Gingrich next week will suspend his campaign. All right, I’m curious, though, what about Congressman Ron Paul?

REINCE: Well, I mean we’ve been working really closely with Congressman Paul and his team. And I don’t know if you know, but his campaign manager is from Wisconsin, too.

GRETA: So that can’t be all bad. (chuckle)

REINCE: No, it cant be all bad (chuckle). No, we’ve shown him respect.

GRETA: Because he’s from Wisconsin? Or because he’s a campaign manager or is there another reason?

REINCE: “Because it’s the right thing to do. And I think as we move forward, little by little in this operation, we’ve been communicating all of these things with Congressman Paul.

GRETA: He’s got a huuuuge, very potent following, I mean, I get flooded with emails from his campaign more than any other campaign in the last year and a half. What a bout.. What .. How do you get him inside the tent so he‘s cheering for your own team?

REINCE: Well, first of all, I think a lot of credit has to go out to Governor Romney. I mean he has built a very strong relationship with Congressman Paul. I think that’s been pretty well-documented.

GRETA: And if actually Ron Paul says, ‘Okay, Governor Romney, you’re my guy?‘..

REINCE: I think.. I’m not going to speak for Congressman Paul, but I’ll tell you this, I think that he has been and his movement has been pleased with the fact that many of the issues he‘s been talking about have become mainstream in the Republican Party. I think ultimately all of us can agree that this election is not going to be about the future of the Republican Party, whether you’re for Ron Paul, whether you’re for Mitt Romney, or wherever you’re at. I think all of us together, no matter where you fit in, it’s not about the Republican Party. It’s about the future of America. And we have to end the European nightmare that’s in the White House.

Here is a video posted on May 3rd showing how the RNC is violating its own Party rules (once again), and supporting what I transcribed above, in particular some of the parts I highlighted in bold.

~ “This is the day the Lord has made. Let us rejoice and be glad.

Isabel Matos founded GOP Are You Listening [GOPAYL] within days of Sarah Palin’s announcement that she wouldn’t seek the presidency. Understanding the Republican elites’ long record of ignoring the party base, figuring they have nowhere else to go, Isabel understood America had lost it’s best chance to have a true leader and a relentless reformer. Her mission is to keep reminding the GOP that we’re here, we’re clear, and we aren’t going away.

While I’m firmly in the “Anybody but Obama” camp, and now that Mitt Romney has secured the nomination, he’ll get my vote, simply because America can’t survive another four years of Obama, I also know we must hold the leadership of the Republican Party completely responsible for the situation we find ourselves in.

We must continue the fight to take over the GOP from within, replacing stubborn, corrupt old politicians with new blood who realize America is in big trouble, and the need for sudden, relentless reform is real.

Heartache: Ron Paul’s Biggest Supporter Is A Bilderberger, International Financier

By Gary P Jackson

This should have the phones at the nation’s various suicide prevention center hotlines jammed for days!

If you follow the nuttiness that surrounds Ron Paul, Alex Jones, and their fans, it’s all about Bilderbergers, Fema Camps, the Illuminati, and other assorted conspiracies. In their world only Herr Doktor Ron Paul is clean and pure.

This report may cause these poor souls to wake up and understand what a fraud the good doktor is.

World’s collide. The gay libertarian tech investor Peter Thiel, enthusiast of post-national ocean states, backed the SuperPAC.

The largest donor to a SuperPAC supporting Ron Paul is Peter Thiel, the sort of ultra-wealthy, super-national figure Paul and his supporters love to hate.

Thiel — who gave $900,000 to the pro-Paul group Endorse Liberty — made his fortune as the co-founder of PayPal; he was also an early investor in Facebook, and is now a major player in the world of high-tech venture capital. He’s also a devoted libertarian and devoted Republican: He hosted a fundraiser for the confrontational gay conservative group GOProud at his grand apartment off Union Square in 2010.

Thiel is also a member of the steering committee of the Bilderberg Group, the elite, invitation-only conference that’s the frequent subject of conspiracy theories.

They probably get together and talk about how they’re going to control the banking systems of the world and natural resources,” Paul said in 2008.

Thiel shares, though, Paul’s anti-government, and anti-Establishment, impulses. He has funded a prize to encourage talented students to drop out of college, and is a major supporter of the cause of “Seasteading,” creating independent, water-borne cities free of national law.

Seasteading. Hmm, that sort of combines the mentality of the occupy movement and the recent talk of moon colonies. One wonders why this cat isn’t supporting Newt Gingrich!

Don’t worry Paulies, it’s all downhill from here anyway!

Governor Palin’s Message to the Donner Party–We Owe Americans a Better Discourse than This

by Whitney Pitcher

…One of the left’s favorite weapons is frivolous ethics complaints. That’s what they used to bring down the architect of the 1994 “Republican Revolution”, Newt Gingrich.

Prior to the election of 1994, the Democrats had held a majority in the House of Representatives for nearly 4 decades. Working with a team of grassroots activists, Newt selected and trained candidates, shaped a political message, and became what [David] Horowitz called “something rare in Republican politics–a genuine movement leader.”

To the left, that meant one thing: he had to be eliminated. There are many fine Democrat public servants, but sadly many in the party have moved increasingly left, and often the beating heart of their political warfare had been the personal distruction of their enemies. Generally speaking, after decades of failed social policies and weak national security positions, the party doesn’t have a strong base of success from which to win political arguments. So it targets people instead of ideas.

Back in the 1990s, Democrats had Newt in their sights. And strangely enough, the more influential he became, the more “unethical” he became–at least if you count the number of complaints filed against him. Horowitz wrote, “Eventually, Democrats lodged seventy-four separate charges against Gingrich, sixty-five were summarily ‘laughed out the committee’.

Over time the cloud of ethical questions hanging over Newt reached critical mass. Instead of defending their own, Republicans on certain committees forced Newt to concede one charge.

-Governor Palin in Going Rogue (page 363-364) (emphasis added)

Yesterday, Governor Palin wrote a scathing rebuke of the GOP Establishment, which based upon the title of that Facebook post, I’m going to now refer to as the Donner Party.Governor Palin has recognized the tactics of the left as they have been applied to both Speaker Gingrich and herself. The excerpt from her book that I shared above comes amid her discussion of the frivolous charges launched at her. What this excerpt and her Facebook post really boil down to is three things: 1) the savageness of the left 2) the passive and sometimes non-existent defense of the “right” and 3) the cannibalism that has been employed by the “Donner Party”.

As Governor Palin wrote in that Facebook post:

But this whole thing isn’t really about Newt Gingrich vs. Mitt Romney. It is about the GOP establishment vs. the Tea Party grassroots and independent Americans who are sick of the politics of personal destruction used now by both parties’ operatives with a complicit media egging it on. In fact, the establishment has been just as dismissive of Ron Paul and Rick Santorum. Newt is an imperfect vessel for Tea Party support, but in South Carolina the Tea Party chose to get behind him instead of the old guard’s choice. In response, the GOP establishment voices denounced South Carolinian voters with the same vitriol we usually see from the left when they spew hatred at everyday Americans “bitterly clinging” to their faith and their Second Amendment rights. The Tea Party was once again told to sit down and shut up and listen to the “wisdom” of their betters. We were reminded of the litany of Tea Party endorsed candidates in 2010 who didn’t win. Well, here’s a little newsflash to the establishment: without the Tea Party there would have been no historic 2010 victory at all.

[…]

As I said in my speech in Iowa last September, the challenge of this election is not simply to replace President Obama. The real challenge is who and what we will replace him with. It’s not enough to just change up the uniform. If we don’t change the team and the game plan, we won’t save our country. We truly need sudden and relentless reform in Washington to defend our republic, though it’s becoming clearer that the old guard wants anything but that. That is why we should all be concerned by the tactics employed by the establishment this week. We will not save our country by becoming like the left. And I question whether the GOP establishment would ever employ the same harsh tactics they used on Newt against Obama. I didn’t see it in 2008. Many of these same characters sat on their thumbs in ‘08 and let Obama escape unvetted. Oddly, they’re now using every available microscope and endoscope – along with rewriting history – in attempts to character assassinate anyone challenging their chosen one in their own party’s primary. So, one must ask, who are they really running against?

Governor Palin has seen the nature of the tactics of the left and some in the Establishment first hand. She saw her family attacked, her maternity questioned, and her record misrepresented by an Obama campaign machine and a complicit media. The media still employ individuals, like recent Newsweek cover story author Andrew Sullivan,  who question that she is the mother of her youngest son. The 2008 election and beyond brought a whole flurry of attacks on Governor Palin and her record. A legislative inquiry, billed as an “October surprise” for the 2008 election, was launched into whether or not Governor Palin pressured a commissioner to fire a state trooper for personal reasons. This was led by a Alaskan Democrat who later was rewarded with a cushy job in the Obama Interior Department, and the Obama campaign kept in contact with the trooper’s union during the proceedings. Her record–from funding for special needs education as Governor to funding for rape kits while mayor–was lied about.   Additionally, when the barrage of frivolous ethics complaints were levied against the Governor in 2009, many of them came from the DNC’s official Alaskan blogger for the 2008 campaign. The McCain campaign in 2008 and few if any Republicans in 2009 came to her defense when her record was misrepresented, her character was attacked, and unsubstantiated charges were levied against her.

As an electoral defeat seemed imminent and eventually came to be in 2008, anonymous McCain staffers (many of whom were former Romney staffers) were thought to be the ones who disparaged the Governor–who was a candidate on the very ticket they were working for–by saying she “went rogue” against the McCain campaign’s direction, didn’t know that Africa was a continent, and answered the door of her hotel room with nothing but a towel on during the campaign. All this happened while, as Governor Palin stated in her Facebook post, “[m]any of these same characters sat on their thumbs in ‘08 and let Obama escape unvetted”. Senator McCain’s staff was kneecapping their own candidate while Senator McCain was unwilling to effectively focus on candidate Obama’s associates and lack of a record.

In 2010, anonymous Romney staffers would dismiss Governor Palin as “not a serious human being”, and even as recently as last fall, other anonymous staffers joked that they would be trilled with a Palin (and/or a Bachmann) candidacy because they could run against  those “crazy women”.   Not juxtaposition of records or ideas, but personal attacks, not by Romney himself, but by anonymous staff. His hands stay clean while his potential opponents get knocked.

It’s not just about Governor Palin, though in spite of the fact she isn’t running for President this cycle, the Donner Party still sees her as a great threat. It is the Tea Party movement. When Christine O’Donnell won the GOP primary race for Senate in Delaware, GOP Establishmentarian Karl Rove and others spent the remainder of the campaign bashing O’Donnell and the Tea Party movement and essentially serving as an across-the-aisle surrogate for Chris Coons, the Democratic candidate and later victor of the race. To be sure, O’Donnell was in many ways a flawed and perhaps out-of-depth candidate, but the level of vitriol launched at her by her own party was hurtful to their chance to potentially regain control of the Senate. Although like O’Donnell,  Nikki Haley is seen by some as a traitor to Tea Party principles following her endorsement of Mitt Romney, she was one of the many who came into office under the wave of the Tea Party. Haley won her race in spite of sexist and Establishment lies about alleged affairs launched at her.  Again, the South Carolina Establishment, rather than supporting their party’s gubernatorial nominee, levied attacks against her. To his credit, Governor Romney did support Nikki Haley in this, though the same could not be said of the next attack on Tea Party conservatives when the tragedy of the Tucson shootings occurred a few months following the 2010 election.  Romney and others said little if anything in defense of the Governor Palin, specifically, and the Tea Party, more broadly, when they were essentially deemed to be essentially accomplices to murder. Governor Palin is absolutely right. These folks are political cannibals, or at the very least, political pacifists unwilling to defend the people of their own party.

In Governor Palin’s post, she articulates that this is also not about Newt Gingrich. In fact, Gingrich’s support of liberal Republican Dede Scozzafava in the special election in NY-23 indicated that he was willing to go along with the Establishment, and he even criticized Governor Palin for supporting conservative candidate Doug Hoffmann. Gingrich has indeed been in Washington for many years and isn’t without fault, but at this point in the election, poses the greatest threat to the Establishment’s golden boy, Mitt Romney. As with any election, the candidates are imperfect. Herein lies the beauty of the American electoral experience! James Madison once said, ” if men were angels, there would be no need for government”.  The beauty of the America lies in the fact that  we choose are leaders from among ourselves. By default, they are going to be imperfect. That’s not to say that their faults are to be excused. Quite possibly the only thing that Mitt Romney has not flip flopped on is the topic of Romneycare, among his other faults. Newt Gingrich has supported efforts on climate change with Nancy Pelosi and education with Al Sharpton among other liberal notions he’s espoused over the years. Rick Santorum has voted against national right-to-work laws  and has some issues with using taxpayer money to fund his children’s “cyber school” education. Ron Paul has a dangerous approach to Iran, and in spite of his strong stand against massive government spending, has requested millions in earmarks, even at a time when the GOP has called for a moratorium on earmarks. Like Governor Palin said, Newt Gingrich is an “imperfect vessel”. Any candidate would have some level of imperfection.

The problem with the Donner wing of the GOP is that a double standard is applied. Earlier during the presidential primary, Romney hit then candidate Rick Perry from the left on Social Security without a peep from the Establishment, but when Newt Gingrich hit Romney from the Left on Bain Capital, it was seen as an inexcusable attack on capitalism. Romney, the candidate who said that he didn’t want to return to the ways of Reagan, have been inaccurately and malevolently trying to paint Newt Gingrich as anti-Reagan. To be sure, Gingrich has perhaps been critical of Reagan’s state department and had suggestions for George HW Bush’s campaign, but to paint the man whom Nancy Reagan said carried President Reagan’s torch, is an underhanded tactic. One could only imagine the tactics the Establishment would use against Governor Palin had she chosen to run. Attacks on her resignation and the frivolous ethics complaints would likely be used to try to paint her as not up to the pressure of the job of leader of the free world. Who knows? They may have even tried to paint her as anti-Thatcher as well!

The Establishment wants a coronation; the electorate wants a nomination. Generally it has been the “next-in-line” who has gotten the support of the Establishment. In 2008, it was John McCain, and in 2012, it is Mitt Romney. Mitt Romney has gotten the support of the those in the conservative media–Jennifer Rubin and Ann Coulter. He has received the support of the likes of John McCain, President George HW Bush, and Bob Dole–candidates who took the phrase “everything in moderation” and turned it into a political ideology. Whoever has been the biggest challenge to Mitt Romney has been disparaged by the Establishment. Jennifer Rubin started writing negative pieces about Governor Palin 8 days after she started writing for the Washington Post. At the time, Governor Palin’s potential candidacy was the biggest threat to Romney’s nomination. The Establishment knocked Rick Perry when his candidacy peeked and was a threat to Romney’s nomination. Tom Ridge, moderate Republican and former Bush Cabinet member, hit Michele Bachmann as inexperienced when she was at her peak. While Newt Gingrich is seen as a Washington insider, he is not necessarily the Establishment’s choice, and has therefore been in many ways unfairly attacked.

To be sure, campaigns are cutthroat. Records need to be exposed. Policy plans will be scrutinized. Character will be tested. This is all for the benefit of the electorate and the refining of the candidates’ mettle. Same standards must be applied to all candidates. People who cry foul on Gingrich’s misrepresentation of Romney’s immigration stance can’t try to sweep Romney’s misrepresentation of Gingrich’s ethics record under the rug. Our country was founded in part because the settlers wanted representation; they didn’t want a distant king calling down orders and levying taxes from on high. Similarly, the conservative electorate, or any American electorate for that matter, does not want an oligarchical “Donner Party” to determine the outcome of election.  Here in Illinois, some of Mitt Romney’s delegates are challenging Rick Santorum’s ballot petition signatures to potentially keep him off the Illinois primary ballot. Mitt Romney’s Illinois campaign manager is also our state treasurer.  Never mind that in the interim, Illinois credit was downgraded to the worst in the country. Getting a political opponent off the ballot is far more important than hunkering down and addressing a major fiscal crisis to those backing Romney. In other words, Romney’s supporters would rather not give Illinoisans a choice of candidates rather than win the battle of ideas.

Thankfully, there are people like Governor Palin who are echoing the words of President Reagan when he said, “those voices don’t speak for the rest of us” when speaking about the Elite whether it liberals in elected office or those in the political power at a party level. During her gubernatorial run in 2006, a pivotal point came when Governor Palin’s opponents were bickering, and she interrupted them and calmly said, “we owe Alaskans a better discourse than this”.  Governor Palin has essentially said the same thing on a national level.  The GOP owes the electorate a discourse, not an Establishment monologue, on the issues, and they owe us a better one. Eleanor Roosevelt once said, ” Great minds discuss ideas;average minds discuss events; small minds discuss people”. This primary election must be a discourse of ideas, not a barrage of personal attacks. As an undecided voter, a discourse of ideas, not an Establishment command, is what I would like to see in the coming weeks and months of this upcoming election. I’m glad to see that Governor Palin has continued to hold the Donner Party accountable for their tactics.

Insane: Ron Paul Supporters Threaten Bronze Star Iraq War Vet, Family With Murder, Rape

Jere Brower, who served four tours in Iraq and was twice awarded the bronze star, with his wife Clara and daughter Ana at a 2010 birthday party. The Browers have been targeted with death threats from angry Ron Paul supporters.

By Gary P Jackson

More proof many of those who support Herr Doktor Ron Paul are mentally unstable, and dangerous.

Pat Dollard reports:

Jere Brower, his wife Clara, and his 4-year-old daughter Ana, have a very good reason to believe Texas Congressman Ron Paul when he said people view his supporters as “dangerous.”

The 38-year-old Atlanta man and his family have been targeted by militant Ron Paul supporters, one of whom threatened to “kneecap” him, then rape his wife and young daughter. Mr. Brower said he has also received death threats from supporters of Ron Paul.

The trouble started when Brower and some of his Facebook friends decided to have a laugh over Ron Paul’s ties to racist and anti-semitic groups.

Read more here.

This is totally unacceptable. We’ll have more on this sort of behavior from Ronulans coming soon.

Ron Paul Group: Third Place Finish in Iowa Part of “Anti-Democracy Jewish Conspiracy”

By Gary P Jackson

A few years back our own Stacy Drake turned me on to Pat Dollard’s blog. It’s become a daily must read. One of the reasons I love it, and follow both Pat and Lisa B on Twitter is because they come up with stuff no one else does, such as this bit of lunacy from one of Herr Doktor Ron Paul’s minions:

This video is provided by the founder of the 9/11 Troofer website, “WhatReallyHappened

His video description describes a supposed eeevvviiilll Zionist Conspiracy to control the US election process

Notice the first thing this moonbat suggests is violence?

Pat has more about this crazy bastard here.

Now SANE people know the vote tabulation center was moved because the violent members of the communist “occupy” movement threatened to disrupt the vote count. Coincidentally, many of these “occupy” thugs are Ron Paul supporters!

The loon in the video talks about “agent provocateurs” who tried to harm Herr Doktor Paul from within. That’s pretty ironical since we have now learned Ron Paul himself is an “agent provocateur” for George Soros, and the communist party.

Ron Paul supporters provide hours and hours of comic relief, that’s for sure, but they are dangerous as well. They create these insane theories, and are now calling on their supporters to get violent if they don’t get their way.

Sounds exactly like Obama supporters!

Folks, Ron Paul, and all of the crazies that support him are delusional, mentally unstable, and dangerous. Watch your back when you are around them.

Shocking Video: Ron Paul’s Ties to George Soros; Communist One World Government Movement

By Gary P Jackson

If there is one thing that sets the Ron Paul/Alex Jones crowd off more than talk of Bilderbergers, FEMA camps, and the Illuminati, it’s the talk of a New World Order, and a One World Government.

Fact is, the concern over a One World Government is the only thing legitimate these people ever bring up.

There has been a long, concerted effort to turn American sovereignty over to the United Nations. There’s also a concerted effort to bring hard core communism to the United States. That’s also been in the works for decades, since before WWII.

Knowing this, and how it really gets the Ron Paul crowd going, one can only speculate how they will take the news their hero, Herr Doktor Ron Paul, is really a plant by the biggest One World guy on the planet, George Soros.

Readers know who Soros is. He’s a former Nazi sympathizer who has made his fortune manipulating currencies. He’s one of the most evil men on the planet, and the self proclaimed owner of the democrat party.

From funding groups that perpetrate massive voter fraud, to groups that work daily to usurp the Constitution, Soros is like a real life James Bond villain! He’s into everything. Funds many groups with Orwellian names like the “Center for Progress” [because who doesn’t want progress] that actively work to destroy Liberty and Freedom, and hand more and more power to government.

Funny that Herr Doktor Paul, the supposed strict constitutionalist and champion of Liberty and Freedom, would be in bed with the most evil, anti-American, anti-Liberty and Freedom communist in the world.

There are only two possible answers here. Either Ron Paul is a fraud, and a phony. A George Soros plant. A mole. A “Manchurian Candidate,” picked to infiltrate the highest level of government, on behalf of the communists….or….Ron Paul is simply stupid, and has no clue what he’s doing and who he’s hooked up with.

I’ll let readers decide. I’ll say this, knowing what I know now, a lot of the crazy that is in Herr Doktor’s newsletters make more sense now.

It’s also easy [now] to understand why so many extreme left wingers and “occupy” types support Herr Doktor.

I don’t think all of Herr Doktor’s supporters are bad, but enough are to make the entire movement dangerous. Ron Paul is a real loon. His foreign policy is suicidal. His hatred for Israel and love for the Muslim terrorists is well documented. His want to blame America for everything wrong in the world is vomit inducing.

And Herr Doktor is no prize on the fiscal front. Here he’s a fraud as well. He’s one of the biggest pork spender in Congress. Rails against earmarks in public, then quietly brings home the bacon in mass quantities.

Being crazy is bad enough, but being a George Soros puppet is dangerous, and evil.

People who support this nimrod need to wake the hell up!

On Iranian TV: Ron Paul Bashed U.S. and Israel Defends Terror Group Hamas

By Gary P Jackson

Growing up in the Vietnam era, everyone knew who “Hanoi Jane” was. Jane Fonda went over to communist North Vietnam and was filmed making many anti-American, propaganda statements. She gave much comfort and aid to the enemy. This is, in the Constitution, the very definition of treason. To this day, people call for her arrest, trial and conviction for this crime, which carries the death penalty.

Ron Paul may not have gotten there with this interview, but he sure gets close:

On Jan 5 2009 Ron Paul conducted an interview with Iranian state owned English language propaganda channel, Press TV, where he urges ending support of Israel, defends Hamas and tactics of suicide bombing, states that Hamas is innocent and the Israeli state are the aggressors.

To me I look at it like it’s a concentration camp, and people are making bombs, like, they’re the aggressors?

Obviously everything is the fault of the United States and Israel. The murdering suicide bombers bear no responsibility whatsoever. They are just a poor, oppressed people.

Ron Paul is a despicable human being. His ideas on foreign policy is beyond crazy. No sane human being thinks we can just “mind our own business” and be exempt from the problems of the world. In fact, doing what Ron Paul advocates would only make the world more dangerous, not less.

As much as Ron Paul wants to go back to the 19th Century, it doesn’t work that way. In modern society, everything effects everything. Like it or not, we have a global economy. We live in a global society. We can’t just sit back and hope for the best.

By the way, Ron Paul has said Israel shouldn’t exist, and he wouldn’t have fought the Nazis to stop the Holocaust.

Oddly enough, after the state of Israel was created in 1948, the nation tried Ron Paul’s policy of “minding their own business” and were immediately and relentlessly attacked for years. It wasn’t until Israel got aggressive and went on the offense that the Middle East became relatively stable.

If the United States “minded it’s own business” in the manner Paul suggests, you’d have an entire world at war before he finished his term. A strong America is the only thing that keeps one half of the world going after the other half.

Ron Paul is a bad man, who like Barack Obama, and the rest of the socialists, favor terrorists over the United States. If that isn’t treason, it’s as close to it as one can get without actually taking up arms against the Republic.

BTW, if you want to see what real hatred looks like, read some of the comments left on the You Tube site. It’s incredible how much hate Ron Paul gins up among his cult like supporters.

The sooner this evil clown goes away, the better.

Ron Paul: I Wouldn’t Have Sent Troops to Fight Nazis and Save Jews, Israel Shouldn’t Exist

By Gary P Jackson

First, a little music to set the mood:

From YNet:

Republican presidential hopeful Ron Paul’s past statements are coming back to haunt him – and this time it’s about the US’ role in ending World War 2 and the Holocaust.

Following a controversial revelation by a former aide to the congressman, saying that Paul “wishes Israel didn’t exist,” another blogger said Tuesday that in 2009 Paul went on the record as saying that if he were the president of the United States during WWII he “wouldn’t have risked American lives to end the Holocaust.

Journalist Jeffrey Shapiro posted a 2009 interview he held with the GOP’s leading candidate, in which Paul clearly states that if it were up to him at the time, saving the Jews from annihilation in Europe would not have been a “moral imperative.

I asked Congressman Paul: If he were president of the United States during World War II would he have sent American troops to Nazi Germany to save the Jews? And the Congressman answered: No, I wouldn’t.

You can read the entire interview here.

Words can’t express what a despicable piece of human debris Ron Paul is. Six million Jews were slaughtered by the Nazis.

Though some were used as slave labor first, all had their humanity ripped from them, and in the end, they were all killed. Most marched to their death on an industrial scale.

The Nazis killed so many Jews they had to create better, more efficient ways to do it. They built huge gas chambers to kill hundreds of men, women and children at a time.

Women and children stripped of their humanity, on their way to the gas chambers

Bodies pile up

After being gassed, the bodies were then stacked in ovens and incinerated. Again, mass murder on an industrial scale.

And yet, Ron Paul says if he had been president during WWII, he wouldn’t have lifted a finger to stop the Nazis. If the United States hadn’t intervened, and helped destroy the Third Reich, most of the world would be speaking German today. The world would be a socialist hell.

Remember, with-in days of Pearl Harbor, the Nazis declared war on the United States. They sent agents to America. Saboteurs, who if not apprehended, looked to do major damage. The Nazi U-boats also routinely attacked U.S. shipping. Sinking unarmed merchant ships and murdering thousands.

Ron Paul would have done nothing.

No way to sugar coat this one folks. Ron Paul and people like him, do not deserve to be a part of the human race. There’s a special place in hell reserved for his sort.
